the only way this conversion rate can be justified is if the old Sat was 1 sat and Sat2 is 10,000 and that's not the case.

yesterday night first time when sat2 market opened did u know what happen.first orders made to sell wall at  11 10 9 then morning they pull the price more and now 2.5sat. same story with sat.

they collect your coins at 2 sat for one week or one mounth then hype again and sell at 6 7 8 .

this one is same circulation period since first day of sat

Give the devs time. They have only just now had the coin swap and have plans for SAT 2. People really need to realise that crypto requires patience. If you find that you lack this then sell and move on. There will be plenty of people who will be willing to take your coins off you.

I bought 129,000,000 SAT between 3 sats and 4 sats when it was available on MintPal. I knew that after the 1:1000 swap that would give me 129,000 SAT2 which I would then hold whilst the devs do what they are planning. It was inevitable that people would be dumping SAT/SAT2 for the first few days (miners always do) so I am more than happy to sit back and wait. I see this as getting in very early on a very promising coin. (which now only has 7.7m coins in total) I managed to get in to BC very early (3500) MAST very early and VRC also very early. Just do some research on what the coin/devs have planned and then take the risk on whether or not you wish to invest.

I personally like what the SAT2 devs have planned and am looking forward to more details as and when they are ready to release further information. Until then, I will continue trading my other coins, whilst keeping an eye of the development of this one.

They stated how the swap would work quite some time ago so you really have no excuse for not knowing how many SAT 2 coins you would be getting in the swap from your SAT coins. It was also inevitable that there would be a dump in the first few days. It is the nature of crypto and won't change any time soon.

My advice would be, if you aren't sure about investing in the coin, then move your BTC to another one. VRC is a great investment, and for the longer hold, MAST will be a great second choice.

Is there a MAC wallet yet?  I have a MAC, and used to compile my own wallets, but upgraded to Mavericks and now no coin will compile any longer.

If someone knows the trick to compiling on Mavericks, I would be happy to share the file.  I have heard switching to Homebrew from Mac Ports would do it, but not sure that is accomplished either.

We can confirm that building Mac OSX wallets is a struggle. It requires very specific software versions, and also with every OSX version update, things change that break software that previously ran fine. There's not really 1 specific trick that solves everything - it's mainly a matter of ironing out every build error one by one until it works (and that can be very time demanding).

OSX 10.9.3 here and I can report it is working fine.  No slow startup - is actually quicker than most other wallets and syncs up fine.  No crashes so far either.

Sorry but you missed the boat, although quite how, I don't understand.  There was like one date that you had to remember or you could have just left your SAT on one of the exchanges and you wouldn't have to do anything.  Ask the devs if they can help but I think it's too late now.

SAT1 was going for between 3-5 satoshi, peaking at 6 satoshi briefly on Mintpal right before the switchover this weekend. 
The conversion rate was 1000:1, so SAT2 should be worth 3k to 5k satoshi base right after the switch, which it was.

Seriously have a little bit of patience people.  Unless you can't afford to lose another penny, it's stupid to jump ship now before the devs announce the rest of their plans for the coin.  You may end up missing the boat to Saturn.

Exactly. And it's also a self fulfilling prophecy. Look at just about any coin that announces news (price goes up) and then releases news (people start dumping just before the news even gets released). It's how crypto markets work. People think others will dump, so they dump first and it's basically a chain reaction. This happens with just about every crypto currency, and this behavior has little to nothing to do with the coin itself. Honestly even if a coin would publish news about having the biggest scientific breakthrough in history, the same thing would still happen.

Looking at the current market price, there really isn't anything unusual, it's typical market bahavior. We have rolled out the new blockchain, the launch was as smooth as launches can be (this is also typical.. when devs mess up their launch everyone's screaming, when devs do it perfectly you hear next to nothing). The transition at the exchanges has also been very smooth. In other words, everything so far has been done perfectly. With that said, our advice to anyone who's interested in the long haul (yes, this means YOU - most impatient traders do not take the effort to read this) is to make your own judgement of the potential rather than only looking at market graphs alone. The reasoning is quite simple: where do you think this is going after we have spent a lot of time and effort to move over to a solid codebase, while having provided full transparency? Ignore the poor impatient souls and look at the bigger picture

As said, this is only the beginning. Rome wasn't built in a day. The first step is to establish a solid foundation to build off of - and the switch to SAT² is doing exactly that. We are not a coin that's interested in a quick rise and fall. We are building this up step by step with the intention of actually getting somewhere. Any coin that emerges out of nowhere and skyrockets without apparent reason, usually isn't something that's intended to last. We are quite the opposite. Our vision is that in the long run, only a handful of crypto currencies will last, and we have every intention of providing the innovation it takes to be part of that. Speaking of potential in terms of market value: can you imagine what will happen when all the money that's currently dispersed across many hundreds of altcoins would be concentrated into the select few coins that will actually last? That's exactly where our ambitions are at.

While we can't answer "thank you" to every individual post, just know that your words do not go unnoticed. Solid advice. There will always be people who are hoping to get rich overnight, whom get impatient if anything does not produce an immediate result. While it's very noble to try and give such people a reality check, you should probably generally just ignore it. Afterall; those who don't look at the bigger picture and sell their coins because of impatience, are those who allow smart investors to get in cheap for the long haul.

Without disclosing too many details yet, what I can say is that the SAT² team consists primarily out of seasoned entrepreneurs who have extensive experience in the field of launching and managing tech companies. This is something that some of you already seem to have noticed by the approach we have been taking. With that said, please be mindful of the fact that the approach we have been taking, and will also be taking at any point in the future, is based on the idea that we like to have a reasonable certainty that we can deliver what we promise. We have zero intentions of hyping developments or partnerships of which we have no idea whether we can make them happen (unlike many other coins, which often like to hype things just for the sake of hype). This is also very much reputation related: by being fully transparent and by delivering what we promise, we strive to get continously closer to the point where SAT² is considered a currency that you can actually rely on. Because for the long haul, trust is all that matters: no economy can even exist without it.

For those who missed the conversion we are providing an option to get your old SAT coins converted to SAT² coins individually. This works as follows:

1. Send us a private message (here, on BitCoinTalk), with the following information:
  A. The number of SAT coins you are looking to convert
  B. Your SAT² address where you'd like to receive the new SAT² coins
IMPORTANT NOTE: keep in mind that you have to create your SAT² address in the new SAT² wallet, so NOT in the old SAT wallet. We will be sending your SAT² coins to the exact address that you provide us, so if you send us an address that you can't access on the SAT² blockchain, then your coins will be lost.

2. We will provide you a unique SAT address (on the old blockchain) where you can send your existing SAT coins.

3. Once your coins are received at the SAT address that we have provided you (which you can confirm at http://213.179.192.62/chain/Saturncoin), then send us a response to the private message to let us know. We will then manually confirm that the funds were received OK, and then pay out the SAT² coins (which is the number of SAT coins you sent us, divided by 1000) to the SAT² wallet address that you specified.
