2561  Economy / Goods / Re: iPhone 4 16GB white w/ box and new accessories. Jailbroken. $280 in BTC on: January 06, 2012, 08:27:30 PM
Posted pics of the back.  Please note that the scratch is by the apple logo, and does extend beyond it.  Some would call it pretty minor though. It is hard to see in pictures as you can see it is not visible in the other back pictures.  The scratch is more visible in bright sunlight if you are looking at the back of the phone.

If you guys are going to just constantly flame each other, take it to Off-topic.  If this little war keeps up I'm going to have to go through and clean this thread and split a bunch of stuff, really don't want to have to do that.... well I'll probably have to clean this thread out anyways.

While there are personal attacks in this thread which are bad, most of the discussion of what was done with the pool and coilcoin (or whatever it is) are relevant to the topic of the pool and should not be deleted.

Can I get a picture of the crack on the back?

Will post in the next few hours.  It is not a crack, it is a scratch.

My thread in regards to "Pool Ops being the new Alt Coin Police" has been DELETED from the Pools Forum.

Censorship at it's finest.

I feel as though I am about to be banned....and I guess that makes sense, considering this forum allows scammers of all sorts to thrive in the Marketplace without consequence, yet a LEGITIMATE POST in regards to a malicious act of vandalism is deleted from view.

Par for the course, as it seems.
Just in case this is my last post, thanks for the memories.

I am still waiting for gmaxwell to answer why my thread was deleted, before we get too far and forget about this.
That thread was DIRECTLY related to this discussion and was about as ON TOPIC as one can get, under the circumstances.

Both THIS post and that thread belong where they were intended.

I have posted a message about this censorship in META.  Hopefully there will be an appropriate response.

Maybe topic was moved?  Either way I did not check enough after seeing the message from bitlane.  Sorry!

Left to show my mistake:

I am concerned that a post was deleted from the forum.  A quote from bitlane below:

Where are you shipping from?

USA, Maryland.  This item can be picked up locally in Baltimore if arrangements are made.
2567  Economy / Goods / Re: iPhone 4 16GB white w/ box and new accessories. Jailbroken. $280 in BTC on: January 06, 2012, 02:05:24 PM
We got this phone two months after the intro.   The condition is excellent , like new except one scratch on the back.  Besides that, with the new accessories it appears near new.  I have already cleaned off the bit of lint on the edge and button shown in pics. I will ship with tracking number within one business day.
2568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: She should have used Bitcoin on: January 06, 2012, 05:22:09 AM
It is a shame that Paypal treats all counterfeits the same.  In the instrument world counterfeits are common and part of history and are NOT to be destroyed.  A known counterfeit can be worth more then ten thousand dollars and be irreplaceable.

2569  Economy / Goods / [sold] iPhone 4 16GB white w/ box and new accessories. Jailbroken. $280 in BTC on: January 06, 2012, 05:02:29 AM
We upgraded to the 4S so we have another regular 4 for sale.  Priced below average ebay selling price.

Included is the box, and a new power block, cable and headphones, all genuine Apple.

Running 4.3.3 upgradeable to 5.01 of course.  This phone is currently jailbroken with Cydia but if you wipe and reload it or upgrade it you will loose that jailbreak.

$280 in BTC plus shipping.

2570  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: ATI Radeon 5870 almost dead, it can be fixed?! on: January 06, 2012, 12:19:58 AM
You may need to connect the fan to another source of power and run it 100% (or get a manual speed controller).  DO NOT run the card without a working fan, even to test  it, you will probably break it totally.
2571  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Sapphire 5850 Fan Dead on: January 05, 2012, 05:30:30 AM

I have a bunch of these fans coming in two weeks from now.  I will sell them for $19.99
2572  Economy / Goods / Re: NEW 5870 OEM for sale, $160 + ship on: January 04, 2012, 04:50:33 AM
All OEM cards are technically without warranty, even if they state 90 days warranty.
5870 cards don't fail as often as the sapphire 5830's fans.
These are quality cards.

Not true.  The issue is getting the card back through the system.  If I sell one, and it is bad, I need to return it to my supplier, who needs to return it to ATI.  ATI does not make cards with no warranty, but with an OEM card, you need to get it back to where you bought it.  If THEY are not willing to return it to ATI or their supplier, then you have no warranty.  And of course ATI does not seem to take back OEM cards directly.
2573  Economy / Goods / Re: NEW 5870 OEM for sale, $160 + ship on: January 04, 2012, 03:54:15 AM
oem as in dell oems bc if so 160 is asking a whole lot for a card with no warranty at all

No, not really a bad a price if it is indeed new card.  I can sell them at a similar price but I am not making much on them.  Technically I do get a warranty on them when I order them though it is 90 days FOR ME, so less for the customer.   These cards, if they are indeed OEM reference cards like I can get, almost never fail when not abused.
2574  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Bulk 5970 w/ Copper Water Blocks on: January 04, 2012, 03:44:42 AM
I lost contact with the seller. Are these still for sale? I never got the photo sent like I was told I would.
Seller did also not respond to my second message but they did to my first.
2575  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Increases in bitcoin prices are bad for merchants on: January 04, 2012, 03:42:41 AM
i was willing to spend much more when the price was higher, because i bought them so much lower.

I still use them whenever i can though, because i buy more of them when the rate drops.

BTW, i thought i heard in this video something about how at MtG there is some kind of a mechanism now to protect merchants against exchange fluctuation losses as well...

Bitcoins are "cash" to me. So, i am not converting them to other forms of "cash" (currency) unless i have to for some reason, because i think there is much more upside potential in them, compared to any other currency, including metal...

People do spend more at my store when bitcoins are worth more.  The most activity was when bitcoin was $10 or more.
2576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins are not, in practice, fungible on: January 03, 2012, 10:29:16 PM
I think it's a good idea to do this kind of tracing of stolen coins. Theoretically, if people know that if they buy stolen coins they might not be able to resell them, they might not buy them in the first place. As a result, thieves will have a tougher time unloading stolen coins.

We really have no way of knowing which coins are stolen in the first place.  Someone could buy something with coin, then say they were stolen after the goods were delivered.  It would almost always be one persons word against another.  Even in high profile cases it would be very hard to tell what is really going on.

2577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warning! Please don't create another bubble! on: January 02, 2012, 08:51:40 PM

Perhaps the bitcoin economy has increased, but what I'm saying is that there has not been anywhere near a 250% upsurge in intra-bitcoin trade since the price was at $2.

Perhaps the intrinsic value was higher then $2 but do to volatility it was just a good deal at the time?
2578  Economy / Goods / Re: [selling] coke rewards codes/ points on: January 01, 2012, 11:03:47 PM
I did the a set of points and it worked out well.  I recommend ZodiacDragon84 if you want coke points!

The only thing in nature that grows exponentially is cancer.  Keep that in mind.
And the human population has not?

I don't think that deal is as good as you think it is.  The fine print takes over on that one.  You can not book it at the leading sites that have a lower price.  So you pay more at that site but then get a discount.

Some of the good deals though:

Wired:  I have used this for almost three years in a row for 'free' wired magazine.  It is out of stock today, which I have never seen:

Tshirts:  If you like them, really not bad since they include shipping.

Nike cards:
I have used these twice as well, they take a lot of points, 2000 for a big $50 nike card:
