http://yac.procrypto.com:8080/ - 0% fee, 0% to author Been running sweet for about an hour. Added "-n rav3n.dtdns.net:9355" on starting. I'm a p2pool novice though. Is there anything else I should be doing to ensure I'm connected to more nodes? Take out that addition you don't need it, the peers are propagated though the net from the boot node.

Sounds like you don't have any idea what your talking about to me. I didn't order a pallet of bricks from China. There rate has nothing to do with actual shipping charges, I don't know what makes you think otherwise. They could ship my order express for about $50. No one charges 1k to ship a box a few hundred miles, let alone the USPS.
Well it sux to be you does' it. My shipping charge to Australia is just fine, they actually undercharged the first order, only $38.

It's OK now. My node lost connection, Im solo again :/ Pls add me on run: -n rav3n.dtdns.net:9355 I'm down too. "lost contact with bitcoind The boot node must have gone down before yo peered, I am on a train on my iPad so I cant do an add node ATM. Will do one when I get home if you post IP. The boot node is the one on the first page of this thread, it's web page is responding bu the hash rate had died.

If you are using the latest code from github it should have a boot node in it that worked for me.

In the POS(PROOF OF STACK) featured coin, when a block is mined, and submitted to the client, it must be signed with your public key, while bitcoin/litecoin don't have to. That' why novacoin p2pool delete "-address" option. Because when you specify an address, it's just a hash160(pubkey), not your publish key, yacoind will throw an error "sign block failed". In the lastest version of yacoin-p2pool, no matter what the "fee" is, the host user of p2pool will be paid at least 0.01, just for the pubkey, without this, you can never sign a block. So, if you want to specify an individual address, use the worker-name-as-address mode. [/quote] I see, it's created a new account in the yacoind server node's wallet called p2pool and added a payout address to that for the fees. Lets hope a few more people put up some nodes with the updated code, it' a bit lonely on the YAC p2pool net atm.

It's OK now. Thanks, that seems to be working. Is there anyway to set the default payout address or is that removed?

This is worth reading - analysis of the bust, with an informative graph: http://numismatics.pwnz.org/?p=222Summary - it could've been much worse, Gox will have a chance to get their crap together. It depends, if Gox is forced to comply with legislation that has to disclose the sender and recipients of all USD transactions that they handle, the could be tricky for invalidated accounts. The may feel that they would loose too much business to do so.

Finnaly SOME hope for this otherwise dying coin.
This fork just cures the symptoms of the dying coin, doesn't address the actual disease. And why is it dying oh wise one?

Maybe the most surprising in all of this is the resilience bitcoin has shown to this event. The market reacted only briefly with a ~20% drop, but has already mostly recovered.
Wasn't even that much, went from $119.80 to $103.2 on Gox, that's a drop of about 13.8% and it was back up to $116 a couple of hours later.

What brand/model 7950 cards are they?
HW errors usually mean you have the intensity up too high.
If you are only getting 200 errors a day that's not too bad.

Ah yes, I forgot! The fraud route is always an option, which their CEO is pretty familiar with having been convicted of it before. They could always fraudulently mine with customers' equipment before they go under in an attempt to save themselves. Good point, except for the fact that they are incapable of producing said equipment and it doesn't even EXIST.
I see you are just trolling BFL threads, before I add you to my ignore list I would suggest that BFL would not need to use ANY customers machines to mine, they would simply build their own mining rigs, and most likely of a configuration they never sold or advertised so as to remove any doubt. I would be interesting in seeing the court records of the CEO fraud conviction you claim.

There is a difference between being pot-committed in poker and, being what you are, which is just delusional. Get your refund while you still can. I have seen this behavior many times from companies just before they go bankrupt. More frequent updates with more empty promises. BFL is likely going to become defunct after the large difficulty spike which is about to hit because more and more people will be demanding their money back. Even if they don't go bankrupt, your 30GH will be like pissing in the wind when it finally arrives. But odds are, your money is as good as gone if you don't request your refund because they will have to pay other creditors before you after the bankruptcy proceeding.
Interesting concept, suggesting a company that makes machines to product digital currency efficiently going bankrupt. Are you sure you have thought through the actual probability carefully before you posted? Downsize to suit what they want to mine, maybe, bankrupt, I doubt it.

Don't forget to update the pool and your clients to 0.6.4 before block 33,000 or things will break.

Is it possible for there to be a -qt wallet that takes more than one coin, say a Bitcoin and Litecoin qt?
It's certainly possible, it's just nobody has written one yet.

Wow why are so many coins forking this week?
Because they are all derived from the same buggy Bitcoin code that hadn't thought through the high difficulty low hash rate scenario.

Easiest to do it withe the modular PCIe power connector that comes with it or make up a DC extender cable with individual wires.
For the record, my Jalapeno did not come with a PCIe power connector. I'm not going to modify my current power adapter, so I don't think I'll be able to help settle this bet. You don't need to modify a thing, you go to an electronics part shop and buy a male and female version of the DC power connector and make up a short extension lead that you use for measurements.
