Happy to bring you some flashback  Tongue
By the way I have added the topic on the reserved section above.
2582  Other / Meta / Re: Suspicious user (to me at least) on: May 16, 2018, 02:02:11 PM
His merit history.
Anyone? Thoughts? Not accusing him of anything, just found it rather interesting.
No surprise to me. In my  merit abuser investigation topic (18 cases so far) I have seen this kind of activities a lot. Now a days I feel bore seeing these abusive activities. I prefer tagging them with red tag no matter if you are not even a DT member.

You must be kidding right? (archive for reference)

Twitter re-audit trick created on May 15, 2018, 02:45:20 AM archive
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3770922.0 has been deleted for some reason. It was by the member - Flame Dragon King

There might be more... and yet you had to create another topic on the same section?

This is another kind of spamming IMO.

2584  Other / Off-topic / Re: Collections for someone who would like to improve English skills on: May 16, 2018, 11:53:22 AM
First I believe this is not a topic for meta section, most provably it belongs to Beginners & Help (Bitcoin Forum > Other > Beginners & Help) section because we are not talking about any forum issue here.

2nd, This really a great resource for someone who is trying to improve their English language skill. You deserve great appreciation for the collection.

I am not sure whether giving free-download links of those books are legal or not.
- If these books are free downloadable eBooks then you have not done anything wrong.

Therefore, I will locked the topic and delete those links if admin or moderators say that they seriously violate copy rights rules.
- Not sure what will be the judgements of the mods but I believe you are ok, you do not need to lock the topic now.

2586  Other / Meta / Re: sig campaign- what about "1merited post per week" instead of"25 post per week" on: May 15, 2018, 06:41:47 PM
Signature campaigns will flop.

The number of signature campaigner will dramatically drop means not many shitposters will be joining in the forum.

Already exist shitposters will only post on the bounty threads to report their twitter and facebook bounty.

There will be only knowledge seekers in the forum.

May be the forum will lose large amount of traffic but it will be a better place.

I like what Yahoo62278 is doing better, which is to require a minimum amount of merits before even being accepted.
I personally like the idea too, I have seen Lauda is doing the same.

1. A rule like - those who dont receive at least 5 merits during their posting period of the entire campaign will not eligible for payment - for those which are paying in bulk once campaign end.

2. Some campaign are having a minimum number of merits in order to enter them. It would be great if these people are also evaluated in future about their post quality by looking at the number of merits gained while participating in that campaign.

I wonder if the sig campaign managers get worried about not having many participants for their campaigns.
2587  Other / Meta / Re: Discussion in need: "Report to moderator" on: May 15, 2018, 06:33:28 PM
I would like to know if I report 1 post two times or a two people report one same post does it comes as a two different cases or one case with 2 reports?

Still no answer to this question, hoping to get some information on how the report system is working so we can be more efficient.
Not sure how it works however if I would design a system then...
=>if two people reported one post then both will get the credit for reporting. Means one post two reports.
=>If someone report one post twice then one will be counted. I will ensure a front end validation so that one post does not get reported twice by the same person.
2588  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Business ( You can get merit, If you have money ) on: May 15, 2018, 12:39:23 PM
You guys all know about this business, and also know some upper rank member misuse this system.

Someone PM a upper rank member " Dear brother I want to buy some merit... i want to send you some $ " then upper rank member " OK, send this Address"

And we observe that, most of this business occurred in " Local Area ".

So I think, moderators needs to pay more attention in "Local Area" to stop this misuse.

N.B: Sorry for that noob English  Smiley

Merit has it's pros and cons but IMO the pros are higher than the cons.

Merit improved the writing habits/reading habits/knowledge seeking habits dramatically those who are here for self development. There are people who came to this community to seek knowledge about the whole cryoto space.

Merit made life harder for bounty hunters/signature campaign abusers especially those who have only one intention to spam the community for personal gain.

Which side you are?
Accepting the pros and be ok with the less cons OR accepting the cons and refuse to be improving yourself.

Negative feedbacks carried me to who I am today in bitcointalk, so don’t be discourage, be positive, and continue to grow, to show your glow in this community.

This is one of the best message I would say for the newbies and for those who are struggling to get a grip in this forum.

Everything is in the mind! Be in it;s control, don't let it to control you.
2590  Other / Meta / Re: Are the monthly distribution of sMerit fair enough? on: May 15, 2018, 03:47:20 AM
Many thanks for your explanation but not yet satisfied because what made me to open this thread is contrary to your explanation Sir.
Ok seems like you still haven't get the straightforward answer(s) yet.

The title says, "Are the monthly distribution of sMerit fair enough?"
- Not sure, but I guess for me it's working fine. I am receiving merits frequently. If we have demand and supply data then may be we can come to a conclusion that  if the monthly sMerit distribution for the merit sources are enough.

Please can someone give me some reasons why some people have not received sMerit since the first one was distributed
I am  pretty sure you are talking about initial merits received by all the members who were above Jr. Member when merit was introduced. That was one time and it was only for rank above Jr. Member. You were not even a member at that time. Your => Date Registered:   March 17, 2018, 09:11:44 PM

...and some others has already received for the second time?
Now what I understand is, you are talking about the merits which are received from other members for the contents they created. There is a reason you have not yet received any merit. See your post history page and see mine as well. You will see the differences.

And it was stated by the Merits system that for every 30 days new sMerits will be distributed.
Here you are talking about the merit sources. Every 30 days they receive sMerits as a merit source to reward quality posts of the members. IFAIK there are only 79 merit sources now.
2591  Other / Meta / Re: Discussion in need: "Report to moderator" on: May 14, 2018, 05:49:02 PM
If it is from one forumite, then report just one post and state in the report that there are other similar post in other threads, and as I've said it is easier to just look at their profile and check their post history and we can delete posts  from there without going into threads and delete it one by one...
My take from here is, and this is what I am doing now:

When I am seeing someone is spamming with same contents then I am archiving their post history. From all these same contents, I am reporting 2/3 posts with the comment like "spamming with same contents. Please review post history <archive.is URL>".

2592  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Self development and BitcoinTalk on: May 14, 2018, 05:26:17 PM
Yes, good post. You can see that you worked! Since the introduction of the MERIT forum has become much cleaner and you can find a lot of useful information! Spending the morning with a cup of coffee, you open a section and find out for yourself a new one! And so every morning!
Not sure if you are happy or frustrated but seriously you need to stop spamming...

Here is a snapshot of your post history, it's not so impressive. I reported some. You need to stop spamming before getting banned.

...read all the topics listed here and then share your knowledge that would be as much precious as these topics.
If it helps a little bit to someone to digest even a bit of the information listed here, I am happy.
2593  Other / Archival / Re: Hire me to defend your case for 0.01BTC! on: May 14, 2018, 04:33:04 PM
My latest work could be found here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3502223.0
What I understood reviewing the whole topic is: You were humiliated by almost all the comments on that topic. I see The pharmacist and marlboroza removed their redTag. May be they removed it to show some sympathy to you. They were sick and tired of your trolling I guess.

I will act as their lawyer, I will expose the people in position of power for their abuse. in the end it is up to community to decide which one is trusted.
If you want to entrust your money to DT members, you should know them first, I'm here to eradicate abusers of power. I am willing to adhere to the
Rules of the forum. I would either convince DT1-2 members to remove their negative trust or would expose them for the whole community to see.
Since you are the lawyer and getting paid for it, how about the community? Will they get paid for it? They are the judge, aren't they?  Grin

How do we know you aren't colluding with DT members to red tag people and split the profits 50-50?

Now we are seeing a new business concept and this time it's with trust rating.

But I appreciate your service, it's new, it's innovative.
Very well said LOL

By the way, would I get any discount since I have 5 negative trust?
And how long it will take to clean all my negative trusts, doesn't matter if you give me any discount or not SIR digaran
My life is ruined marlboroza by all these negative trusts  Cry

2594  Other / Meta / Re: Ask for reahbilitation ( unban) on: May 14, 2018, 04:00:12 PM
Hi! Dear admins, my account Cryptodetails was banned.
Would you be so kind to cancel this )))
Just give me one last chance. Will follow all forum rules.
Take my apologise please.
Regards!

You must be talking about this account: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1315844
Not a big deal but at-least adding the account link would be nice.

Anyway, there must be some valid reasons for your account ban. Have you been explained yet any? it's always better to add as much info as you can on the original topic. It helps both the readers and you, not to explain same things again and again.
2595  Other / Meta / Re: Notification for deleted threads on: May 14, 2018, 03:08:28 PM
When a thread gets deleted, would it be possible for all people who have posted in the thread to receive a notification?
I don't see anything fundamentally wrong in all posters getting intimated.
I personally will not like to receive notifications for a deleted thread.

Think about a scenario of a mega thread with 1000s of pages of comments. May be in that thread, you have 100s of posts. Now if they remove the entire thread then you will end up receiving 100s of emails into your mail box. Would you like to delete all these notifications from your email inbox?

Another con: The BitcoinTalk server will be over loaded with SMTP email queue, as a result you may end up receiving other important notifications even after weeks or so.
2596  Other / Meta / Re: Why my last post was deleted? on: May 14, 2018, 02:26:59 PM
Why my last post was deleted And I think my post on topic.mungkin here there is advice or motivation for me to be more advanced in this forum and add to develop.
They usually response with generic reason.

A reply of yours, quoted below, was deleted by a Bitcoin Forum moderator. Posts are most frequently deleted because they are off-topic, though they can also be deleted for other reasons. In the future, please avoid posting things that need to be deleted.

update:
Welsh covered everything. You might consider locking this topic if you are satisfied with the answer.

Thanks for sharing your experienced here. I am a newbie here and want to learn more from other members. Then I can sum up all of it to make my own ways.
Welcome to the forum. I am sure you will learn a lot if you are open to absorb knowledge. Hope some day I would be seeing a list of yours too. See you around.

Good luck
2598  Other / Meta / Re: Does the system allow you to send merit to yourself? on: May 14, 2018, 01:32:26 PM
If so, I think it would be better to change it.
It does not. Once you try the request it ends up showing...

The way some of the merit abusers are abusing merit, if it was possible, by now you would end up saying a->a thousands of times if not millions  Smiley

It was very great to see one of my fellow Indonesian to be on your list.
Husna QA done really well on the tutorials. The topic is a masterpiece for me.

Btw you should add the general threads in this list, such as https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1629118.0 or https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1263461.0.
I guess you misunderstood the goal of this thread. These are the collection of knowledge-base which improved my personal skills for good. All these would not be possible if I would not join the forum. I am interested to hear yours too.
