2581  Economy / Economics / Re: Which is better, staking or investing? on: November 19, 2020, 04:32:14 PM
Stakes are a hazardous route for making a profit since they rely upon the projects and the vast majority of activities are trick and Ponzi.
I lost heaps of cash their so I can not prescribe anybody to consider the stake.

I think it should be less risky to stake on deflationary/scarce coins with potential for steady growth.
I would avoid coins that aren't very useful, secure, decentralized, viable, easy-to-use, have committed/talented developers, have good strategies to keep attracting users etc
2582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Artist is tokenizing his body. (What?) on: November 19, 2020, 03:54:28 PM
Is it permanent tattoo? Or will the tattoos be left permanent on his body, or does he have a specific time to change them for another? And does he have rules on what can be drawn on his body?
Well, I don't see the benefit of this aside from probably monitizing his body (and maybe private parts too) for personal gains. Hope this doesn't become a trend where people with lots of fans will advertised to get pierced, or get things drawn on their body for money.
2583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Central Bank Digital Currencies - how will they be constructed? on: November 19, 2020, 10:51:51 AM
They certainly will not want to just let go without their control, that control must exist because they also definitely avoid the inflation that can occur without full control. Since their function as central bank they will definitely have it in their hands

No one is against control, but public asset/system/network has to run publicly and not privately. A public system has to be decentralized, transparent, open, with accountability, be immutable (my post on immutablity below👇), adhere to just national laws/principles, respect people's privacy, etc..
I believe it should illegal/immoral for public system, network or assets to be run privately  like many are run today. This is can encourage corruption, lawlessness, no checks and balances etc. Even private companies that serve the public should be considered Public companies founded and managed by individuals or group of people but subjected to Just national laws/principles like those listed above 👆

*Immutablity does not prevent you from changing something of "historic value"

2584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Polkadot can take place of Ethereum? on: November 19, 2020, 09:12:25 AM
I think I will focus more on which is most decentralized, transparent, secure, censorship resistant, immutable, fraud-proof, participatory, consensus-driven, trustless/permissionless, privacy-friendly/anonymity-friendly... Plus, which has the best rules/protocol, has most users running full nodes to control their assets & take part in consensus etc.

I find the Forkless Network quite interesting though. Hopefully I will read about it someday to understand it well.
2585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino workers forced into unpaid leave on: November 19, 2020, 08:49:07 AM
It is going to be a tough situation for the casino owners. And let's remember the fact that not all of the casinos are owned by billionaires like Sheldon Adelson. A number of them are owned by small-scale owners such as various native American reservations. So I don't expect all of these casinos to have enough cash reserves to pay their employees even if they remain closed for an extended period.

I would probably switch the casino to more rewarding and better business/casino model that can attract lots of people and be beneficial to most of them. The problem with many casinos and betting centers is that their rewards only go to very few people/customers and the owners/employees. The casinos would do really well and probably retain most of their employees when they start adding lasting value (good & affordable value) to most of customers. The bad part of their businesses should be scrapped off their businesses and the good parts should be retained and be improved. Many people will see them as essentials or necessary products/services, customers will come in large numbers and business will boom... even in difficult times.
2586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lottery Gambling on: November 19, 2020, 08:30:02 AM

I don't what you called this in your country or in English.
We called this "Last Two"(2 DIGITS) , "Swertres"(3 DIGITS) .
Currently they have this draw scheduled every 2pm, 5pm, 9pm (GMT +8).
If you will hit in 2digits, if you bet 0.20 USD, you will win 16USD.
In Swertres(3 DIGITS), 0.20USD bet will become 124USD if win.

Any idea where I can do this online and they are accepting Bitcoin or other crypto?

And also, any ideas or strategy/tricks/advices to maximize profits and minimise risks by playing this kind of gamble?

I do not understand the image/post clearly unfortunately. The lottery am used to in real world is quite different from this.

If this kind of lottery is truely gambling then minimizing risk and maximizing profit won't be possible because is about taking big risk (which is what gambling is). My only little advice is to bet few times with little amount (if that is allowed) that you can afford to lose, in order to minimize risk and see if you can be lucky
2587  Economy / Gambling / Re: POKERdeCentral is Live and Ready To Play on: November 19, 2020, 08:13:35 AM
For a gaming platform, even the first page of the site looks very primitive.
The impression is that everything is designed for any beginner inexperienced players, or just for the natives.
I think that with such a site without serious modifications by normal web designers, Community should not take this project seriously.
True, the authors convince us that they will correct everything, but the question arises, why did not they correct it before starting to publish here in BTT?
Perhaps the fix is not so easy and cheap?

I have noticed couple of things that make promotion very risky. I think he/she should make the necessary corrections and show he is worthy to do business and be taken seriously by bettors. I wish him well, if everything is done right.
2588  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China’s Miners Struggle to Pay Power Bills, Regulators Clamp Down on OTC Desks on: November 18, 2020, 05:26:04 PM
It’s currently a “challenge” for Chinese miners to convert bitcoin (BTC, +6.10%) or tether (USDT, -0.08%) into yuan because “many people have had their bank accounts frozen when exchanging crypto for [renminbi] on OTC platforms,” said Thomas Heller, formerly global business director at the mining pool F2Pool and now chief operation officer of mining and media firm HASHR8.

I guess lots of the problems crypto users maybe facing there & other places are due the national laws. I think developers should focus more on building truely decentralized applications that comply with all the good/moral laws of nations in order to make crypto more acceptable to the authorities. . I doubt anyone will reject this (the complying with good national laws), not even the govt, unless they think it's OK to comply with bad/immoral laws.  I wonder if there is anywhere on earth where decentralization, transparency, immutablity, privacy, safety, and other important crypto principles are not considered human rights for innocent & law-abiding people?

2589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New feature on AltcoinsTalks forum - you can teleport your rank from bitcointalk on: November 18, 2020, 03:34:57 PM
I guess you should try to get enthusiasts who are more interested in good quality Crypto tech/ideals (especially decentralized tech) and less on money. I think that's one of the ways to attract passionate & talented members. You'll still need to keep them engaged and rewarded somehow (not necessarily monetary reward) to keep them loyal.
2590  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is KYC needed Always for Crypto Trading? on: November 18, 2020, 03:05:42 PM
Why always kyc mandatory?

What are they do with our information if we submit kyc?

I am new in Crypto industry so from 3 month i try to trade on Exchanges i mean Best exchanges like (Binance, KuCoin etc)
So when i try to withdraw big amount like more then 1k - 5k Dollars they asking for kyc so now i really Don't want submit kyc in any exchange.

Please suggest me some exchange where kyc is not needed at all.

Crypto created for no tracingso why kyc?

Is they Tracing us ?

Not really created "for no tracing" ... It should be possible to trace users who do really bad things on a Crypto Network without violating the privacy of innocent users. Transactions on proper blockchain are transparent and immutable. What is hidden is the identities of users who run full nodes and properly hide their identities.
But I agree that the current way of gathering customers unique personal data is not really a good way. A good approach would be to verify customers' identities once, on seperate ID platform (decentralized platform) then use that on multiple exchanges/platforms for authentication.
2591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Central Bank Digital Currencies - how will they be constructed? on: November 18, 2020, 10:22:08 AM
I suspect it's going to be some sort of closed System/Network... or private System/Network with lots of Centralization, requires big Permission/Trust, not Censorship Resistant, not very Transparent/Open, not Privacy-friendly/Anonymity-friendly, not very Immutable, no clear/easy-to-understand rules,
not easy for most users to participate in consensus/governance, etc...
2592  Other / Off-topic / Re: in what business would you invest ? on: November 18, 2020, 09:26:37 AM
I guess you mean "what business will be the next" ... Tesla (& others) etc? I suppose by "next" you mean in the area of large size, good quality and wealth?
Well, I will go for good/healthy businesses that have high demand for their products and services all year round and invest in them. Their products have to be unique(rare), better than competitors, would be basic goods/services, in high demand, relatively cheap and they should be planning massive expansion to serve more customers in not-too-distant future
2593  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: TOP 10 LUCKIEST LOTTERY WINNERS PART 2 on: November 18, 2020, 08:44:49 AM
Interesting.
The last one (Deborah Brown) could be explained in my opinion. It's either from GOOD SPIRIT or bad spirit (if she really told the truth), or  she(he?) did "her home work" (which maybe be legal) before playing, or someone gave here clue.

The first one (Stefan Mandel) must have done his by researching how the Virginia lottery work and probably with the help of maths.
2594  Economy / Gambling / Re: POKERdeCentral is Live and Ready To Play on: November 18, 2020, 08:14:58 AM
I wonder if it's right for newbie with single post, with nothing at stake (like having copper badge, escrowed fund etc) or with no good reputation yet, to ask forum members to deposit bitcoin on a site. Is the site reputable by the way?
You'll need to increase your trust on the forum before doing that.
2595  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITRUN - PREDICT THE PRICE OF BITCOIN AND WIN BITCOIN on: November 18, 2020, 07:58:29 AM
I guess I have seen similar game/betting before on this section. It's more like betting on Crypto Trading Exchanges, but without Trading. Or does it include trading(buying&selling bitcoin/crypto from the site/peers)? What is the minimum amount that can be bet with?
Hope it allows players to type in their own price prediction for Bitcoin rather than list of prices chosen by the betting site.
2596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A + use case we never had yet on: November 17, 2020, 04:44:29 PM
One of the easy solutions to this is to download cryptocurrency Blockchain based on PoS consensus and stake on full node. Unfortunately, it quite difficult for every user to download huge Blockchains, which a number of cryptocurrencies have, to run full nodes... worst still, certain cryptocurrencies made the amount of coins required to participate in network consensus (PoS consensus) unaffordable/expensive for much of their crypto network participants. Quite a dangerous setup for "well decentralized" networks.
2597  Other / Archival / Re: CitiBank & Report about Bitcoin: 21st Century Gold on: November 17, 2020, 04:01:26 PM
Well, any nation can easily save its fiat currency by keeping supply of the fiat low and demand high. I would detach alot from foreign consumption and focus more on local products/services. Encourage your local entrepreneurs and business people (both small, medium & large scale businesses) to produce things locally in large quantities without compromising on good/quality standards. Just try as much as possible to reduce foreign goods consumption. They should come to your countries to establish the businesses. Focus more on good basic things that much of the population depends on.

In Addition to this^

If money needs to be printed, alot of it should go to many businessess (Small, medium, big businesses) that are local & exceptional and don't compromise on the good quality of their products/services, while remaining relatively cheap in price. The businesses should be chosen based on merit. Their owners should be good at making things faster/quickly manually or with equipments that are easy to make(*without compromising on products/services standards)
Such businesses should be helped to develop/expand with printed money and they should also be willing to take in apprentice/students.

I wish lots of the merit-based selections and distribution of funds are done on well decentralized system/network.

2599  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain And Sport Industry: Are They An Effective Team? on: November 17, 2020, 10:20:39 AM
Interesting.
I would suggest that they (or any similar companies) make sure that fans/users are able to easily run full nodes and really own their coins/tokens/NFTS.
I wonder if the fan vote/poll will affect clubs if they are of good qualities. I would also suggest a real consensus mechanism that score fans based on the quality of their votes(votes with comments attached). Fans with consistently quality votes will have votes that can change the way the clubs/teams they support are run.
2600  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔮 Futuur - Predict the Future! 🔮 on: November 17, 2020, 09:12:25 AM
Interesting.
I think the social betting would work great if done well. It should however have list of rules that must be followed by participants. There are lots of things that can be abused and can make the prediction/betting market a big problem to society rather than a solution.
I wonder if site takes privacy seriously though. Bookmarked
