261  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 190K in 2024?a on: March 24, 2024, 02:50:45 PM
And many prediction models place the future price of bitcoin into 190K.
Is 190K too humble or very generous in your consideration? What's your price plans for selling your holdings?
Wild price predictions without any supporting details just vague statement are somewhat useless. Price did not even reached 100k for people to have  a conclusion of 190k bet.
262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Always check the deposit address on: March 24, 2024, 11:51:45 AM
The problem comes when the loan is already sent while my casino wallet address update right after the loan amount sent. Take note that I’m using same wallet address since I play to this casino for about 3 years and they just update my wallet address some time after I post my loan request here.
I say, it's one in a thousand chances that it could happen, idk if i will say it's really a bad luck since you already resolve it.

The lesson here is always check the wallet address before you deposit no matter how long do you use the same address. Most importantly don’t use casino wallet address to receive funds that has a delay such as loan money and campaign payments since there’s a chance that they will update their wallet address without prior notice. Keep safe and have fun.
More like, always check the wallet address on the deposit page of the platform either it's an exchange, or casino every time you want to make a deposit or receive from someone. And yes, if it's not for casino deposits then don't use the deposit address likewise if it's not for an exchange funds.
263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin feerates telegram notifications on: March 24, 2024, 10:57:24 AM
Is it legit?

I have heard of multiple cases
where people get viruses into their phones
or whatnot through telegram. Somehow, it’s
always telegram that seems to be the
problem. I always see it being the main cause of
most hacks from people I have heard stories about.
It’s better to be safe than sorry
Don't be misinformed, anyone can get malware on any of their device if the user itself doesn't understand what they are clicking or downloading either its not limited only to telegram, email it can be anywhere.

I've been using telegram for 5 years now yet never had any kind of malware both desktop and mobile.

To OP, can you tell your sources/API of where the recommended fees shown in the bot?
264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin have the potential to impact climate change? on: March 23, 2024, 11:59:06 PM
While Bitcoin itself doesn't directly influence climate change, there are concerns surrounding the energy consumption associated with Bitcoin mining.
Those are already debunk with facts and evidence[1]. Only propaganda is shown that bitcoin mining have "potential" impact to climate change disregarding the factories, manufacturers and other stuff that has more negative impact to the climate.

266  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Convert BTC to ETH on: March 23, 2024, 11:28:37 PM
I have some BTC on Bitstamp and I want to convert it to ETH and send it to my MetaMask wallet. How best to do so? thanks
I highly suggest to postpone you're plan since the gas fee's during this time is high,
Yeah, worst is, it's a fixed withdrawal fee from an exchange not just from recommendation fee of individual's transaction. Idk how much the fixed fee in bitstamp knowing it's an exchange it should be high too.
Well, holding in ETH has more perks than BNB, ETH soar much higher %% unlike BNB this time, so it's more reasonable to have them.
267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New EU AML ban bitcoin anonymous payment on: March 23, 2024, 10:51:43 PM
Do not celebrate too early because this is coming world wide soon.  I thought United States law about Cryptocurrencies was very diabolic years ago.  Now it is coming to Europe.  Maybe in an even worse version.

It will be like this in big countries at least.  Smaller countries will make an effort to profit off this by letting us continue paying anonymously and making Know Your Customer NON mandatory
Don't worry it's already in my list, government crocs in my area already discusses this things already but doesn't have enough concrete plan and guidelines. Idk when it will be implemented but as long it's not that this absurd its good.
268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New EU AML ban bitcoin anonymous payment on: March 23, 2024, 03:43:40 PM
Good thing i don't live in EU, unfortunately to those. But it looks like useless to me if transacting using non-custodial wallets. Not unless there's only a required wallet to use in every transaction which will be a fuck up to every EU citizen. But if not, this is just absurd law.
269  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Paytaca - New P2P local exchange on: March 23, 2024, 01:21:53 PM
Nako BSV ang front nila which is negative to sakin kabayan alam naman natin reputation nyan...
Ang BSV and BCH ay magkaiba, the project is not BSV related, kaya no comment sa mga linked URLs at other statement sa post.

Way of marketing nila is to promote crypto sa locals as way of payments and not investments, wala kang maririnig sa kanila with this word kase way of payment naman ang point ng project. Not so sure how vast the project now regarding sa user based nila. Pero since operating pa rin sila, ibig sabihin na su-sustain at nag ki-click pa rin sila.
270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: brazil sanctioned law that taxes online betting in the country on: March 23, 2024, 08:41:20 AM
In nutshell: bettors will have to pay 15% on the winnings received from any bets, regardless of whether the reward is small or large, and companies will have to pay 12% on revenue.
It's fucked up that people who gamble need to pay 15% if they won but casino companies only need to pay 12%. though casino revenue is big it still doesn't change the fact that they will still charge higher to their average citizen compare to the companies. it is quite sad.
Haha. Sounds very government to me.

To OP is the winning bet is automatically taxed on the gambling platform like deducted win receive by the gambler or individual gamblers will need to declare this winning on their internal revenue office? Because if this is not automatically taxed, then gamblers will just ignore it. There are many loopholes to avoid this actually especially if using a crypto-related casinos.
271  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CHANGENOW BAD EXCHANGE SERVICE !!! on: March 22, 2024, 11:50:19 PM
Problem solved please deleted topic
As per checking the eth address you received it 8 hours ago, and happened after 3-4 hours after you posted this thread. Well, since this was still yesterday and the exchange promotes instant exchange yet happened to be delayed is a red flag — well, this is not the first time this exchange got an issue. So i suggest you make research first before transacting on any exchange.
272  Local / Pilipinas / Re:Crypto Taxation on: March 22, 2024, 11:40:13 PM
Walang concrete na guidelines and execution for tax, that's it. If si Arroyo pa naging presidente this time siguro marami sa atin ang iiyak sa ipapataw na kalaki ng tax which was her big contribution on country's finance as economist.
Okay lang na meron ipapataw na tax, but please naman sana wag kalaki like sa ibang bansa na umaabot ng +15% tax, laki na niyan. If ever man mag i-strict sila ng taxation, do it on crypto companies as per requirement as a business not on individuals.
273  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I invest to BTC? on: March 22, 2024, 11:00:27 PM
I am a small investor. I have some money to invest. How can I invest this money?
What do you know about bitcoin? You should know the things you are going to invest at least.

For your money, always diverse it and don't stick it on single investment.
Do the 50/20/30 ratio, 50 your expense, 30 savings and 20 investments. If  you're going to invest bitcoin always do for long term. Also, invest on your wallet tools such hardware wallet to prevent of getting hacked, getting malware, etc. or electrum but you should know how to make it secure like in air-gapped device.
Don't forget that your private keys and seeds are included on this, so save them offline on a secured place.
274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where is the fun when you lose your money? on: March 22, 2024, 06:12:01 PM
but I do not know why some people consider bets to be more  for fun  and a way to spend time than to win money.
Of course, winning is more fun than lossing obviously, but you don't need to expect of always wins. Some people consider gambling as pastime, stress relievers regardless the outcome just wants the fun of betting, the excitement to win and/or loss.
You know gambling is a game of luck and probability, where your chance of lossing is high. Considering it as to game of wins or source of income is a wrong move. And it will end up to problematic gambler turns to addiction.
275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Questions about pruned nodes. on: March 22, 2024, 05:37:08 PM
The downside of a pruned node is that you would have to redownload the blockchain, if you load a new wallet
Is this included the imported wallet file too?

Thanks for the answers btw, i will rethink to run a node again but pruned only as i don't have enough space for it, at least 100gb is enough i think.
276  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Questions about pruned nodes. on: March 22, 2024, 03:33:23 PM
This is wrong. You have to download the entire blockchain, even if you run a pruned node.
If you set the prune limit to x GB, you would download the entire blockchain, but store only x GB of that. That doesn't mean you only download x GB of the blockchain.
Does it mean that the downloaded data will only be 550 mb, but will start to download the genesis block then will delete the later block data replacing the new downloaded one so on and so forth? Or it will really download the whole current size of bitcoin blockchain then will delete the old block data and retain the new one 550 mb in size.

Another questions, will you still called the pruned node as full node? What's the difference of it on full node aside from saving it on smaller data? How about the weigh of "supports" on the bitcoin blockchain, does it matter?
277  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: advice for a beginner on: March 21, 2024, 11:57:42 PM
Hello, I'm a new trader. I started a month ago. I deposited $100, and now I've lost $40. Any advice for me? I watched some YouTube videos and found a technical analysis video which helped a lot. I started not losing as much. Sometimes I even earn. But even though, I feel so lost. Like every day, I see some random coins get boosted. Some people earn from how they know that coin will go up. I'm sorry for my bad English; it's not my first language.
That's good experience, are you day trading? The question on what crypto? tokens? Do you have bitcoin invested/hodl? I suggest to get some just for holding, well, just make a timing when to buy as current btc is not stable and still to high if you ask me.

- Go on famous or top 10 on cmc for holding.
- Experiment on some meme coins and other tokens for your trading, you can get 10x profit and its the same time you might loss them overnight, yes, it's risky, but that's how trading works, you just need to choose and manage your risk.
At lahat naman ng crypto related cards is based on this two (mastercard and VISA) so need to worry. Unless yung shown balance mo is not in PHP.

...pero di ko sure kung gagana sa ATM since naka foreign currency kasi.
Ye, medjo negative ito lalo na if walang conversion to PHP, pero there's no harm in trying naman, check balance or just withdraw minimum like 500 if gumana.

EDIT: I tried searching on reddit[1], and ye positive, gumagana naman siya. The user also mentioned na nagamit niya sa mga online shops, at may mga comments na gsuccess yung gamit nila sa local ATMs natin. Although the post was 2 years ago, pero sa tingin ko parang di nag bago yung service nila at capabilities at supports ng cards nila.

279  Other / Archival / Re: 🚀 Galactix.io | The Cosmos of Crypto Gaming | Explore, Play, & Win Big 🎲 on: March 21, 2024, 11:00:19 PM
Quite effortless, huh? Are you part of this casino?
Based on his username, maybe the OP is the main representative here, not those affiliates since there's no referral links and affiliate links.

As for the thread, good start. But i suggest to at least show texts or images/infographics regardless the state of the website before any mods appear and remove your thread.
280  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am in dire need of assistance for my improvement on: March 21, 2024, 10:28:26 PM
I joined the forum late 2022 but most of my discussions are being moved to off topics, probably because my discussions aren't of good qualities.
One of the reasons why I got depressed and left but I am back now, in good health and sane mind, ready to learn to improve the quality, and also give back positive impact to the community.
Go engage other users on experienced-based thread questions . Post/answer on fact-based thread questions with sources and avoid very long repeated, boring reply, posting on opinionated thread won't give you merit too.
But first in the list, read the forum rules, board-specific rules (most sre stickied), understand and follow it.
