741  Other / Meta / Re: Discovered a new type of error! on: November 10, 2023, 11:41:47 PM
Do you think it would be considered plagiarism if:
I recompiled this list of posts, using an "open source" model, in the sense that anyone could replicate this list without being dependent on a single user?
As long as there is explanation of the recompilation, say, OP is not active anymore, not updated, etc., reference is also present, i don't think it's plagiarism.

Random question/suggestion: it would be better if there is an optional dispute to remove all the merits received of the OP if the content was deleted. Because in general term merit is given to quality post, and worth reading. If there's nothing to read, then it opposed to what merit is for.

I'm not here to join the argue or misunderstanding above, but i just observed the wrong info to make it fix by the OP,  looks like wrong side up.

743  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk: Error 504: Gateway time-out [Update: November 10, 2023] on: November 10, 2023, 10:34:35 PM
-snip-
As per theymos, the downtime is almost the same hours from previous ones, and conclude its just a scheduled maintenance from the hosting, nothing more.
Will it always be scheduled maintenance without any prior confirmation?
There should be an explanation for all these downtime events, as some people are starting to speculate about strange things.
I can't answer to that, and you're right, well, even theymos just think it that way, we dont know what he already did to fix this or if there is need to fix since we didnt heard him yet.
744  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk: Error 504: Gateway time-out [Update: November 10, 2023] on: November 10, 2023, 04:58:15 PM
I might be wrong or it might be my ignorance. Isn't this issue of seeing the forum down became more prevalent after the Bitcoin mixer issue. I mean it is more frequent and long lasting before the mixer got down by the FBI. I think there is something wrong and I feel the admin should have two urls. One .org and the next should be .onion.
This mere forum has nothing to do about those shutdown mixers. Yes, they can advertise here, but nothing more than that.

Since this forum's hosting server(namecheap) is based on US and if they wants to summon theymos to the court for some legal reasons they do that already if there is, and they can just request to namecheap to shutdown the site's server for good. But that:s not the case. As per theymos, the downtime is almost the same hours from previous ones, and conclude its just a scheduled maintenance from the hosting, nothing more.
745  Other / Meta / Re: Issues Bitcoin Talk members meet using the website without Java Script on: November 10, 2023, 07:48:47 AM
I bet radio buttons and checkbox probably wont work without js, this means polls and other user settings won't work especially for multiple options.
You are right.  The polls do not work either.  I am not sure what you mean by radio buttons.
Radio buttons are those options (circle) used in polls for multiple choices.

Usually it is solved in a matter of minutes or hours at most.  I just reload Bitcoin Talk after a while and it loads up with no Cloudflare popping up.
Oh glad it works, if cf is required when loading the every forum's pages, but obviously cf is triggered when you click the "All" when viewing all the thread reply in one page.

Also, js is required for cloudflare to work so...
747  Other / Meta / Re: People commenting on the first page without having read the previous posts. on: November 09, 2023, 04:08:58 PM
I'd say it's a loophole.

His post is on topic because he gives his opinion to the @OP's post and it's constructive as long as his post has a weight, right?
I sort of agree with you but not no the constructive part one as he is commenting on something already proven false.
Reporting it to mods might be a help? Since it is proven false, and probably considered a spam or spreading misinformation Or just message the manager to take a look on what's the participant's post behaviour just like what you think you're going to do.
748  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mixing through Dexes ? on: November 09, 2023, 08:19:33 AM
You will probably get the clean one, then those who will use the dex after you with the same approach will get those dirty coins.
What you are saying is that people should not use decentralized exchanges? Almost all coins are tainted. What do you want to talk about Coinjoin? People nare using both successfully.
People are encouraged to use dex for privacy purposes, so why should i say don't use it.
Most coins are tainted but not as tainted as much from hacked exchanges, launder, etc. Don't mix for having privacy and having clean coins after having such transactions. That's the disadvantage of using p2p transactions and maybe but not as much when using Coinjoin. But it still work for privacy tho, just like i said, just don't transfer them directly to a custodial services, because it might be a problem sooner.
749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some things you should always avoid while gambling ? on: November 08, 2023, 11:46:57 PM
1. Gambling to earn money.
2. Promotions aren't always make the gamblers will earn money.
3. Gambling base on people predictions or gamble on a game that many people likes.
4. Gambling when high.
5. Don't take any emotion or under pressure while gambling.
6. Don't bet on your favorite team especially if they are clearly no match against the opposite team (injured player, lack of scoring player etc.)
7. Do not gamble what you cannot afford to lose, set a stop loss just like trading.

0. But first thing first, do not gamble on unreputed casinos or casinos who have previous unsolved scam accusation.
750  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does lottery rewards expire? on: November 08, 2023, 10:19:36 PM
I know most local lottery have almost the same rules, winners are urge to claim their winning, some are months abut some at least within a year after the draw, that's the rule related to claiming here in my area for national lottery, but it is recommended to claim it asap. So that 6 months is still good if you win here, in US the national Powerball lottery only have 6 months expiry after the draw.

So if you are buying lottery tickets make sure you read and follow its rules first to understand what will you do if you win.
751  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mixing through Dexes ? on: November 08, 2023, 09:42:35 PM
Yes, that's the basic way. But that doesn't mean it cannot be traced especially in p2p tx, the one you are dealing (p2p) in dex will suffer the most if we're talking of dirty coins, especially if the user transfer it eventually to its custodial wallet. Unless that user uses different approach like swapping coins to other coins with dex.
You will probably get the clean one, then those who will use the dex after you with the same approach will get those dirty coins.
752  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Does anyone know where I can purchase CBD flower with btc online? on: November 07, 2023, 11:33:09 PM
I'd say go ahead and explore some reputable stores.
This won't help, as long as there is no users recommend stores who are "some reputable stores".

To OP, i guess you won't find any recommendations here, try to ask on CBD related forums and ask, i'm sure most of them use btc or crypro payments. Also on facebook groups on your area but make sure you use dummy accounts or just use your main account if your area is a CBD-friendly place.
753  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase delisting BSV :) on: November 07, 2023, 11:22:03 PM
They should do that early, what took them too long to unlist this shit, oh maybe there's little to zero users using this now, now BSV shillers will gonna cry.
754  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you cope with those around you not believing in you for choosing Bitcoin? on: November 07, 2023, 03:59:13 PM
You don't need to forcedly convince anyone, once or twice is enough. The fact bitcoin hits new ATH from time to time is a strong proof how bitcoin investments will change someone's financial status in the long run from those past few years stats.
755  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Wallet for Android / Re: Best wallet for Android? on: November 06, 2023, 11:35:47 PM
More than 60 million people worldwide are using this trust wallet.
So there are lot so many people who still doesn't know how secured wallet really is.
Plus, having huge user based doesn't mean it's totally secured, look at the technicalities how closed based wallets are usually hack and prone to bugs.

757  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin Fee Observer Thread in USD(sat/vB) on: November 06, 2023, 07:33:30 AM
758  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which exchange has the most easy to use app according to you ? on: November 05, 2023, 10:57:39 PM
Most crypto exchange mobile apps are actually easy to use. I tried different exchange apps before and currently use kucoin and binance. So far, the only thing that is concerning is the consumption of storage data like what mentioned above, with minutes of use it will take up to hundreds of MB, you can check it on the app's cache.
759  Other / Meta / Re: Demand for non-Telegram forum notifications? on: November 05, 2023, 10:35:03 PM
Why you wanna go for a website, it will cost you few $ for launching one, when you can do it free for the public, as it a free, unless you are thinking about charging monthly fees for it  Grin btw charge 1$ monthly  Wink
The OP already have one actually the ninjastic.space so it's one step closer to build something like the email notification settings. Also, browser extension/addons with pop up notification could be helpful too since there are people who uses extensions.
760  Local / Pilipinas / Re: DT trading scam, marami na daw hindi nkawithdraw on: November 05, 2023, 04:41:52 PM
  • Invite with refferal
  • Downline
  • To good to be true return
Normal ang invite with referral as marketing strategy ng mga financial services or mostly ecom sites, kahit legit platforms ay meron nito, if you invite/referred someone matic downline mo siya or referral like shopee, tiktok, maya, gcash, ub, coins.ph dati etc.

Ang too good to be true offers ang dapat na maintindihan ng mga tao, na lahat ng 1% above na profit everyday ay pwedeng masabing too good to be true offers na.
Bakit? Kase nga ang mga authorized and most SEC accredited financial platforms like banks ay meron lang 2-10% interest/profit per annum, malaki na nga 10%, so if eko-compute mo ang 10% p.a. nasa 0.027% lang ng investment mo ang profit per day compare sa mga investment scams na ang laki-laki.

But sadly, like the other discussions dito with that topic, ang dami pa ring nauuto, mostly mga matatanda na, professional man o hindi, although may mga bata din, take risks pa rin. Yung iba nakikipag away pa sa socmed kesyo hindi daw scam, sinisiraan lang daw nila yung company nila lmao, nagbubulaglagan kase kahit alam nilang too good to be true na, kaya ganun, iyak nalang sa huli
