1222  Other / Meta / Re: "The user whose profile you're trying to view does not exist" on: June 29, 2023, 03:14:48 PM
The 2 statement above is correct. Also, never experienced this one coz that's a kind of a user i am — letting a bitcointalk page or sometimes my profile page open in a one of the tabs in my browser without shutting or restarting the browser/computer for several days.
1223  Other / Meta / Re: Who is online? on: June 28, 2023, 09:29:57 PM
 I never seen such page or thread mentioning it since i registered.
 I check the smf manual and they really have it, probably it was disabled for privacy reasons.

Not everything should be seen easily in public, but how about trying this link to see who is online.
This doesn't include all the users who disabled online status in their profile settings, but you can see individually their Last Active time.
Ohhhh, so there you have it.
1224  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kucoin to introduce mandatory KYC on: June 28, 2023, 03:11:09 PM
Yeah, just received the email earlier and its really expected. And just like what i have said previously since it's my first exchange and regular users, i don't mind proceeding their mandatory KYC.
1225  Other / Meta / Re: Hiding your Profile name in Public place ? on: June 27, 2023, 11:36:26 PM
I didn’t check because my PC is bricked (sadly Sad), but I feel like this may end up removing stuff it shouldn’t in some cases (i.e when there is a table in the post), so be careful.
Oh yeah, that's what i didn't check yet. I will try to check different threads later today. But as for my knowledge as long as the selector is directing/targeting from the specific class to its attribute/element/children, it's fine, but we will see.
1226  Other / Meta / Re: Is it allowed to post in English in a Local Section on: June 27, 2023, 08:46:23 PM
It's fine i guess, there's no rules particular for that. I found several thread in my local posting in english thread previously, asking things they want/need that can only found in my local. Although there is google translate, but if you're not confident of doing just post it in english.

What is prohibited is posting non-english language post in only-english board. Local language post can only be posted on their respected locals.
1227  Other / Meta / Re: Is Ban Evasion same as Proxy Ban? on: June 27, 2023, 07:05:34 AM
So for me creating an account and then abadoning it because of the evil fee to create a new one is that considered as an Ban Evasion?
No, it's different, you will only ban evading if your other account/s are banned in this forum from different reasons.

"Proxy bans" are the results of those banned accounts, once a user was banned, the IP address used by those users received evil points/score. The higher the evil points the higher the payment it will be generated once a user registered using those IP address.
1228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is quidi.finance legit? on: June 26, 2023, 11:07:02 PM
That doesn't differ from ponzi scheme returns. How those companies can earn by giving that kind of return. Even the businesses that offer smaller returns haven't survived and files bankruptcy, about this one maybe they will just go away knowing they're just new.
1229  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What is considered good collateral these days? on: June 26, 2023, 03:41:35 PM
I would not play with an already established website. Giving administrator access as collateral can cause serious problems. Anyone who is ready to do that does not believe in its value, just by agreeing to open it. Likewise, anyone with a functional and valuable website will not allow unnecessary admin access to a third party.
That's part of the risk if the lendee wants to make his/er website's admin access as a collateral also with the help of reputed escrow.
1230  Economy / Services / Re: Traditional News & Opinion website looking for BTC related advertisers on: June 26, 2023, 09:21:32 AM
So you want to someone to advertise to your site, but you don't want to use adsense, and dont want to accept fiat but rather crypto only, you can try different crypto ad network, like cointraffic and coinzilla, they sure pay in Bitcoin.
If you want to someone here to put an ad on your site try to include an insight of your website traffic in the past 3 months.

Is there a special section here on this forum to post the stats of my website?
You can include it in this thread, on your main post. Or just create a new thread that you're accepting advertisement to your site since this thread looks like a discussion thread.
1231  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What is considered good collateral these days? on: June 25, 2023, 11:29:18 PM
I bet a high ranking and reputed website is enough for a collateral, but still depends on the lender if he will accept such offer, also an escrow to handle the accounts should be present.
1232  Other / Meta / Re: Forum Moderator (MiningBuddy) on: June 25, 2023, 09:52:54 PM
I wonder how many more topics will appear about MiningBuddy not being a moderator of beginners & help board for a long time Grin Poor MiningBuddy, his ears are burning from being remembered so often here on the forum Grin

Moderator of beginners & help board, MiningBuddy
List of Inactive Mods (Last seen a long time ago), do we need replacements ?
Inactive Moderators
Most of our moderators are inactive
@theymos, we want those sections back to us, new moderators? Updated.
You hit that right. It was discussed and answered too many times and google will probably give answers if asked like "inactive mod miningbuddy site:bitcointalk.org"

1234  Other / Meta / Re: Can Bitcointalk Adopt the Web3 System? on: June 25, 2023, 02:48:26 PM
No, look at the looks of this forum, even the latest website technology even before the introduction web3 isn't implemented yet, how much more for a feature like that.
Maybe in the future there's a chance since web3 and this forum is about bitcoin/crypto and blockchain.
1235  Other / Meta / Re: Hiding your Profile name in Public place ? on: June 25, 2023, 10:20:01 AM
I think it should be noted that this will hide the details on all profile pages, not just your profile. I am not sure if there is a way to limit this to just the personal profile page.
Yes, you can try it for yourself, for testing you can paste those codes in desktop browsers' dev console in most browser using "f12" key, the effect will be removed after you refresh the page.

But in the case of Name: (Username) there was no class or ID was used or I can't found the way so that is why I also could not solve the problem here.
You can use the "td:nth-child()" selector instead since there's no id and class available, check the second code i made.
1236  Other / Meta / Re: Hiding your Profile name in Public place ? on: June 25, 2023, 06:13:27 AM
But one new request to you guys, In this script, only the above name and avatar can be hidden, but when entering the profile summary, it shows the user name, so another request to you guys is to create a script that hides the name in the profile summary as well.
Thanks.
I agree to the reasons mentioned of it's rare time to visit my summary page so i don't mind to that but if you think its very important to hide those details you can add this add this line in the "try" block.

Code:
document.querySelector("tr.titlebg > td").style.visibility = "hidden";
document.querySelector("td.windowbg > table > tbody > tr > td:nth-child(2) ").style.visibility = "hidden";
document.getElementsByClassName("avatar")[1].style.visibility = "hidden";
The first line will Remove all in that part including the "Summary - (Username)". I can't think anyway to remove only the username. -.-
Second line hides the username in "Name: username"
The last line hides the avatar.

Final code
Code:
// ==UserScript==
// @name     Hide BitcoinTalk Username and Avatar
// @include   https://bitcointalk.org/*
// @version  1
// @grant    none
// ==/UserScript==

try {
    document.getElementById("smfheader").style.visibility = "hidden";
    document.getElementById("hellomember").style.visibility = "hidden";
    document.getElementsByClassName("avatar")[0].style.visibility = "hidden";
    document.querySelector("tr.titlebg > td").style.visibility = "hidden";
    document.querySelector("td.windowbg > table > tbody > tr > td:nth-child(2) ").style.visibility = "hidden";
    document.getElementsByClassName("avatar")[1].style.visibility = "hidden";
} catch { }
1237  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase: I can't withdraw my funds via PayPal on: June 24, 2023, 10:47:49 PM
If I'm right he is the same person who made a topic on reddit a few hours ago from this link below he already got a response from Coinbase support but the OP can't provide a Case ID to follow up his case.

- https://www.reddit.com/r/CoinBase/comments/14hjom2/suddenly_i_can_no_longer_withdraw_my_funds_via/
Oh okay, so OP really need to contact again and coordinate with its case ID to their support if he wants to solve this issue instead of responding other things, because it looks like he didn't do that yet based on the reddit thread/comments.
1238  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Malaking tulong pa maiwasang gamitin ang ating profile sa isang scam. on: June 24, 2023, 10:12:54 PM
So far wala pang may nag ganyan sa profile ko lol. Pero if meron man malalaman ko din agad, so parang useless na din ang pag lalagay ng ganyang text sa profile. Pero on the other side wala namang mawawala kaya feel free to do it.
Para lang sakin it's not about saving time eh dami ko namang oras para mag explain lalo na dito sa forum where your posts are paid lol. Kidding aside, at besides that mas makakatulong ka pa mag spread ng ganitong klaseng information regarding sa scheme ng mga scammers na ito once mag create ka ng thread or explain that your account is not for sale if ever may mag benta kuno ng profile mo.
1239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are the Predictions of Bitcoin Halving accurate? on: June 24, 2023, 09:59:03 PM
'm curious to know if any of you have used similar tool and if the predictions have proven to be correct.
Predictions and estimations are too different thing. Those are estimations only from the given fixed numbers of bitcoin time of estimation of confirmation which is every 10 minutes. But it didn't happen to do that since sometimes it got confirmed with in 10 minutes sometimes are not.
But on the other hand its not a big deal since we are talking of fixed number of block it will occur.
1240  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase: I can't withdraw my funds via PayPal on: June 24, 2023, 03:50:20 PM
It seems they become more strict in regulating users after being sued by SEC. So I think this is just their security procedure to follow the SEC rules and regulations.
.
If this is the case then they should give another note or requirements to ask their users but in OP's case looks like it isnt.

@OP try to message them in weekdays if they will give a useful response.
