261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investing in casinos: Still a thing? on: March 04, 2024, 12:40:18 PM
You are free to invest in whatever you want, it doesn't have to be Bitcoin only, there are stocks for some offline casinos as well, but I will like you to take this as risk investment, because j would still choose Bitcoin instead of these other projects, it depend on your capacity, how much of a risk you are willing to take.

Make sure that you have bitcoin as your main investment and let these risk play assets take nothing more than few percentages of your whole portfolio, Bitcoin will still give you decent amount of ROI and yes its true that alts can perform better than Bitcoin in terms of ROI but they are the most risky assets you can invest your money on.

casinos do have problems, many have stopped working in the past, I hope you know this, so buying their assets doesn't guaranteed that you will be safe like Bitcoin, the comparison is like night and day.
262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has this ever happened to you as a gambler? on: March 03, 2024, 06:16:52 PM
They need to satisfied their need for gambling, it's nothing but an addiction that they can't control, you need to be scared of what gambling could do to you, when you think you have control, think again, because it's possible to lose yourself when gambling, make sure you understand the risks involved instead of trying to be something you are not.

Many people have end up breaking their homes because of this addiction, they lack self control, their families must have tried to help but its getting no where, I have seen this happening around me, and to me it's just a lack of understanding, if you can really sit down and try to solve the true meaning of gambling, it's very clear that it could turn your life upside down, for the worse.

If everyone is adding some sense, they will be very careful around casinos, it's not something you can rely on for passive income or even life changing opportunity, it's not, you must risk only what you can truly afford to lose, and accept that gambling might not favour you at all.
263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: your perception about gambling on: March 03, 2024, 11:22:08 AM
Depending on the country you are from, in Nigeria you will be criticise if you are found going to a local betting location, we all have this mentality that gamblers are lazy people who want to get rich quick, and who am I to say they are wrong?

Because in this country many have taken their lives because of gambling and debts, the problem isn't gambling but the people who are gambling, they believe in this gambling too much, even before the economy was in so much mess, many people have turned into addict gamblers.

So I won't blame this all on the country's situation, it's the gamblers that are at fault, people who sees gamblers as something different can't be blame as well, it's this very easy for gamblers to lose their heads and end up in a very bad situation, it's been proven so many times that's why people don't take good about gamblers.
264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Do You See Losing Your Weekly Payment to The Casino on: March 03, 2024, 10:29:41 AM
It doesn't matter what type of money you use to gamble, either it's your salary or your business money, a irresponsible gambler has no other name than irresponsible gambler.

If you can't manage to take some part of your money for gambling, and you are used to taking everything you have and risk on gambling it's your problem, you are already addicted to gambling.

This is my advice for you, many people who get paid in BITCOIN since last year are already in big profits because they are paid since bitcoin value was very low, and today bitcoin value is bigger, it's better to keep your bitcoin for long term reason sake.
265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake; one couple two accounts illegal? on: March 03, 2024, 09:53:45 AM
Stake won't understand the this mistake unless you make them realize your mistake, prove to them that you and your husband are on this together, and make sure your husband also pass KYC too, this is the only way forward.

I hope you have learnt something from this, don't ever repeat such again because any online casinos can't be held responsible for this type of matter, because you broke their rules and regulations first, they have every reasons to misbehave with your account and the money on that account.

My advice for you is this, before doing anything on your casino account always make sure you read through the ToS very well, make sure that what you are about to do won't get you into trouble next time.
266  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Few cons to be aware of before going into Bitcoin on: March 01, 2024, 10:02:31 AM
I don't also like how it's not widely accepted yet, there are times where I always want to use Bitcoin to make purchases but I can't, because the store won't accept bitcoin as means of making payment.

There are are also times when I feel like holding my Bitcoin is the best option, because look around you, how many people are willing to even spend their Bitcoin on anything than hold for future price appreciation? They aren't many, majority are ok with storing bitcoin for long term hold, it's more like a gold now than currency for making payments online and offline.

Just so you know, Fiat is the easiest one for criminal activities, if you think that it's bitcoin then your research is still half way, go back and do some research, Fiat is use mostly for funding attacks and terrors, bitcoin can be traced.
267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How your feels? on: March 01, 2024, 08:59:47 AM
If you regret using your altcoins or Bitcoin to gamble because the price have appreciate a lot right now then you are not a responsible gambler.

1. You must have use a lot of coins that you knew deep down inside of you that one day these coins can become more valuable, but your greed is focused on how much you will make.

2. A $50 Bitcoin accepted today as payment from someone is still $50, if I don't swap it back to USDT it will either go down or appreciate more in value, but it already served its purpose, I got paid $50 right now, if I need to use this Bitcoin to purchase something worth $50 why should I regret later?

You shouldn't use either Fiat or digital currency that you aren't ready to lose to take risks on any bets.

If you are feeling regrets right now it's because you deserve it.
268  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does having children have an influence on gambling habits? on: March 01, 2024, 07:42:11 AM
I do not know about gambling. But in trading, most traders are losing also just like gambling. Most traders that are married that were trading quit trading or reduce the money they are using to trade. I guess that is how gambling would be. But some people will just be different and be addicted, just like trading also and continue to gamble.
Those traders that are quitting are just not good enough, I have a trading mentor who is very good at it and he have three kids he is raising, he is very good at chart reading and he respects the chart, whenever I question him about trading he always say that it depend on what the chart says.

Gambling isn't like trading, one is all about luck and the other is about how good you are at reading the chart, trading also have stop losses advantage, to avoid your trade going against you, there is no such thing in gambling.

Either trading or gambling, you need to make sure that it doesn't affect your family, be responsible with these dangerous way of making money, risk only what won't affect your family and your responsibility.
269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mom won 50,000$ in Lottery on: March 01, 2024, 06:59:13 AM
Lower expectations it seems, sometimes, the best things happen to those who are expecting a lot, and those who are so into gambling, expecting to win this big, most of them aren't winners on the long run, they waste a lot of money and nothing this good happen to them.

When I said that people should lower their expectations from gambling, I mean it, and this is one of the reasons, you risk that affordable amount, and you go back to your daily lives, working hard to achieve your goals, gambling should not distract you from this and if you get lucky, gambling might favour you.

Just don't expect anything this big, stay more focus on your daily activities and your struggles, because for many, gambling ends up doing nothing for them.
270  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Nunchuk wallet on: February 29, 2024, 11:43:48 AM
Is there any reason why you must use this wallet instead of using Electrum Bitcoin wallet? Because there are already many good options out there, the bad part about this wallet is the cloud backup, there is nothing the team can tell me, anything cloud can be compromised.

He who have ears let him hear, OP, if you value your BTC so much it's better you use open source BTC wallet that has no cloud backup, there are many options available,  either on smartphone or computer, or even hardware wallet, don't make mistakes you can later regret.

I actually don't see any reason to change my old popular wallet for any new one, the old ones already have some reputation, if they are bad no one will use them, but it's not the same with new bitcoin wallets, especially this one with cloud backup, don't try it.
271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you & friends thought of engaging on any unfamiliar activity for gambling on: February 29, 2024, 10:30:15 AM
What if gambling is prohibited in the country? Even if you have to do it in privacy you won't want to call anyone to join you, or you will end up in trouble, it's better to gamble in privacy, if you want to gamble with friends make sure that gambling is legal in your country.

I don't have a lot of friends and the few I have are living far away from me, we don't get together like we used to when we are young, if maybe one day, we can actually decide to gamble again, this time together, it won't be on a casino game, maybe local games or video games.

There is some fun controlling a football club and go ahead to challenge your friend who is also a fan of another football club on your TV set, like PES or FIFA football games on PC.
272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling still pays regardless of our losses on: February 29, 2024, 09:51:26 AM
Yeah something good always happen on the long run, but before we all accept this to be true, let's not forget that it all depend on the gambler, as how much they have spend on gambling before winning is very important, for some, this is why their winning doesn't feel like a real winning, because they have already over risk too much money on gambling.

For example, imagine you risk over $200 per week on gambling for a month straight and you get lucky and your winning is just $1000, you won't feel like you nailed it good this time around, compare to someone like me who risk only $30 on gambling per week and sometimes $20, if I net $1000 I will feel way better than someone who risk more.

I believe that the best way to keep on going with gambling is to risk very little amount of money, you can't predict when next you will win, the goal is to last long by risking small amount of money, and when you get lucky you will be able to appreciate what comes.
273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Future of Gambling on: February 29, 2024, 06:12:37 AM
With the advent of the VR technology, there might come a time when you can gamble in a casino, joining other players in a table, chatting and laughing with them, tossing chips, all while you are actually just lazily lying in your comfortable bed at home.

But, although it is interesting to imagine how gambling innovates and develops especially along with technology, I guess the classic way of gambling will always have its peculiar fun.
VR and Metaverse should go well with gambling in the future, but the old ways will still be present, with online betting there is no need for any VR headset, I think the options will be available and mind you not everyone will be able to afford a VR headset to get the experience.

I am a lover of new the technologies and VR has been around for years now, I still could not buy one just to see how good it is, because that thing isn't cheap at all, so the same thing will likely happen in the future.

The need for players to go vs other players is still missing big here, and maybe the future technology can make this happen, it's highly likely but I still like to gamble on my own, I still like me my slots.
274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do people truly risk their money on bets for profit? on: February 28, 2024, 08:06:24 PM
Yes every gamblers risk their money on bets to make profit, the only difference is the level of risks they take, most gamblers don't care about what could happen to them if they lose, they get greedy and reckless easily.

I don't want to make a lot from gambling, that's why I don't expect big amount when gambling, as someone who is also using very little amount of money, what can I even win with that? Like gamblers use to say, that if you risk a lot on gambling you will reap a lot of gains.

I do not believe this idea because it's very dangerous and misleading, the idiots might think that it's this easy to make some money and they will risk everything, until they are proven wrong, don't get greedy, find another reliable source of income and start using 1% or 2% max of the money to gamble.
275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Support, do not criticize. on: February 28, 2024, 07:51:31 PM
For people that face reality, they quickly learn to control themselves, there are gamblers who are once addicted to gambling but after experiencing the losses they turn around and walk away, they only come back after they found how to risk minimal amount on gambling and they are doing well.

You must lose in gambling, it's not a free money making ATM machine, it's reality, you need lucky to defeat the casinos, so get used to using small money, this is what will keep you going, for a long period of time until you get lucky.

Some gamblers need criticism, you can use it on one and he will get curious why, telling them a harsh truth about gambling sometimes looks like criticism in their eye, that's why I said some of them need it, they will probably believe that you don't want the best for them, In their eye and mind, it's another version of criticism.
276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you are not to gamble. on: February 28, 2024, 06:10:38 PM
I want me some extra bag of money, that's why I choose to gamble too, but the risk reward ratio is unfair, casino owners have nothing to lose here and they make the best gains out of your loss, they are the true gainers here not us, so I don't have to be told that I should be extremely careful about the risks I take on any online casinos.

If I lose money it's my fault, and there is no way I won't lose money, so I prefer to entertain myself with the games I enjoy playing and make sure that I risk only what I can afford to lose.

Don't get it twisted, the risk in gambling is the highest to none, even HYIP platforms are little bit better than gambling, the only option left to be safe is enjoy your games with the amount that you can afford, don't always expect to win because unfortunately you can't always win.

I mean to ask, is there anyway this review will be helpful for you? Don't be annoyed I am just trying to figure out why, but still I will drop my most sincere answers, hope it's helpful.

1. I am gambling with crypto for sure and I became interested since 2017 when I came across a faucet/gambling type platform named freebitco.in, It was the first time I risked some BTC on dice game and it's great.

2. This gambling section is quit alright, just like the whole forum combined, we are all here to learn and share knowledge among ourselves and can't say no to that, this section of the forum have saved me from using scam online casinos like 1xbit and few others, no complains.

3. I have never for once gamble with fiat money, not even in the real world, I found crypto gambling to be easier because of how easy it is to move crypto around, everything is good and the only cons I have is bitcoin high transaction fee, but now things are back to normal, but not for long I guess.

4. My best result was when I use small money to win five figure amount of money, it wasn't even long that I started gambling then, and my worst experience is when j risked a lot and lost everything at the moment.

5. Every gamblers know about gambling addiction, I crave for betting at times but that's when I have been gone for too long, busy with life responsibilities and challenges.

6. I do dice and slots most of the time, and few sports bet, on Chelsea football club.

7. Sorry I can't recommend gambling to anybody, not even my own spouse, the oy thing that I can recommend online is bitcoin investment.

8. It's fun isn't it? Sometimes you just feel like the other team have a upper hand and you bet against your team, mean why I am not like this fans who take sports like football too seriously, my life doesn't depend on this.

9. Gambling is never a job, it could be an hobby but I don't feel right about it still, because something hobby is something you do all the time, the stuffs you can't do without, and if you are into gambling this way you will get rekt.

10. I promote few online casinos already and I divert most of the money into BTC cold wallet, I don't always use my fund for gambling, and if I have to, it will be very small part, I started gambling even before coming on this forum.

11. Nothing..,...

12. Advising gamblers about how to become a responsible gambler, the major problem that is affecting gamblers is how they are reckless with gambling, many lives have been doomed because of gambling, many homes are no more because of gambling, it's worth discussing this many times, and that's because new beginners are coming on here to start their gambling journey too.

13. That's all I have to say.

Nothing more or less.
278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A lot of gambling sites are scams ! on: February 27, 2024, 09:08:41 PM
A lot of fake reviews websites are the ones misleading people, a new gambler will want to find the best casinos but fake review platforms will show up while they look around the internet for answers, and they will have very bad experience later with the bad online casinos.

My advice is beginners need to take their time when doing research, lack of patience is why many gamblers stumbled on a bad online casino, they don't take their time to do their own diligent research.

Before choosing a casino, first make sure that the casino is real, keep doing some digging, and you can just use this forum to make your choice too, there is not so many scam casinos on here, the little ones I know are restricted, and given red trust, there is no space for a scam casino to run around on this forum.
279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling between the past and nowadays on: February 27, 2024, 08:32:06 PM
IMHO, gambling in the past is like a luxury.

Life was too easy and non-toxic before and when you're an upper middle person living with a good job, people wouldn't think bad about you because it seems normal for that status to get engaged into it.

That's in my opinion guys. But if we look at this time, even if someone doesn't have a good life status and don't have a good way of living or doesn't have stable income, when seen to be a gambler. There's already the stereotype with that person that he/she shouldn't gamble at all.
Where are you from? Out of this world? My parents always warn about gambling, they always make sure we don't participate in it, they make use believe that gambling is evil, I get it, they did that for our own good.

These are old people, they believe that gambling isn't normal but in your own world it seem normal, it's not today that gambling have ruined many people, maybe not in your own country but it happened in mine, the in old days, people see gamblers as lost souls.

They don't want to get involve in them, been a gambler is like a stigma, even before I was born, and you are here talking like this? Toxic people are everywhere today, the old times are better, more peaceful but it still doesn't change their gambling outcome, they lose and they win, just like now.
280  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Microstrategy’s X account gets hacked, $400k stolen through phishing scam on: February 26, 2024, 09:34:36 PM
There is no escape about this one, I believe that newbies will keep falling for this and that's why these scammers are getting more encouraged to keep doing this to innocent people, there are many newbies that knows twitter only for crypto related things and they don't know anything about Bitcointalk forum, how are they going to be saved?

The lucky ones will find their way to this forum but many won't, and I don't see many warnings on google about crypto related scams that's pointing directly to twitter as the den of hackers, many newbies will keep falling for it.

Even when they get smarter and learn, there are still millions of people that are yet to be into crypto, and they have no about what's awaiting them in this crypto space, it's such a mess, with scammers taking advantage of people like this, for many, it will be discouraging, the first time experience can never be missed, newbies will always be a victim.
