Cheap self serving fear mongering, nothing more, nothing less.
KNC said in their recent announcement that they will stand by and support their loyal customers, and I believe them.

Your an idiot IMHO!

Flattery will get you nowhere sweetheart. You're going to feel even worse when all the loyal KNC customers are mining away on their 3th Neptunes in June and on 6TH in August.

ROFLMAO @ U, I have S2's running right now, just pissed they are holding my money or I'd have 2 SP10's as well. GL with your 2.6TH/s in July, maybe. I should have 10-15 BTC mined by then, more if the liars would get off their hands and send my investment back.

Another example of "looking out" for the loyal customer?

LOL I say if your dumb enough to give them your BTC, THANKS! maybe then they will finally refund the 5 month interest free loan they Phucked me into.

Your an idiot IMHO!  I have requested a refund on the 6th of April and have had NO contact nor refund given after they clearly PHUCKED! me by running MY investment and then telling me I will be lucky IF they get me my Neptune by July. SMD if that is honest and/or doing right by their customers.

*** Latest news from KNC ***

All,

So last week we really messed up. We sent out products to our customers which arrived broken, damaged and quite frankly unusable.

So in order to fix this the best way we can. We are not asking for these products back from anyone who has received them already. We will simply assume that every card was damaged in shipment even if it arrived undamaged. We will send out to every customer who had a 3TH Jupiter or several already arrive, enough cards to replace their entire collection,

There is no way our customers should have to suffer because of our mistake in not properly securing the components during shipment.
Any effected box in transit is being cancelled by UPS and returned to us to be fixed by our teams,

The factory that produces the cards has been running over the weekend and we hope to have all the replacement cards sent out this week.

Rather than spending more time than is absolutely necessary on this we are going to take the approach of the famous Swedish Furniture maker and ship the box with minimal self-assembly. An instruction video is being made today and will be available later for all to see.
Again we are sorry for not delivering up to our own accepted standard,

Thanks

KnCMiner Team

SHIT BAGGERS!! - Return my money you LIARS & THIEVES!
266  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner (1w/GH/s) on: April 23, 2014, 07:40:00 PM

after the above edits to the file, how do i implement it? Do i have to restart cgminer, use the reboot command, or actually switch off the PSU and switch back on (after a few second delay)?

I use reboot from command line

testing 200 clock with 16 - timeout..

if i reboot from command line sometimes it goes back to stock settings... weird...

i'm running at 200 and 20 now. no better hashrate. i'll let it run for night.

Weird indeed, I use it everytime without fail.

Bitmain - we have had a great relationship for the past few months.  Sadly, it looks like it's ending.
You are no longer competitive given the S2's fragility and high price.  There are better options that are built more solidly and don't cost as much.
But I'll keep watching.  Hopefully you come to market with a product as great as the S1's were for their time.

269  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech launches a new line of ASIC miners - Best W/GH/s ratio on: April 23, 2014, 06:33:11 PM
There is not enough words to describe how i feel with this news toys.
http://hpics.li/f4953e9

an average of 1.35 in quiet, 1.45 in normal, 1.55 in turbo. Th/s of course !

The 3 miner are working perfectly. The bottom become very hot, very fast, so to put down the temp i space them.
In air temp : 23°C
Out air temp : 45°C (46°C if I don't space them a little).
The noise of the PSU is the main root of noise in quiet/normal.

Very very nice work Spondoolies-Tech !

It wouldn't be too much if I highly recommend those guyz. Respect the shipping delay, respect the customer with true specs, listening if you have any problem.

On this good words, i'm gonna finish my miniDC so I can post pics soon Smiley

Thanks again SP-T Smiley Smiley Smiley

How many HW errors do you get?

I think you have 4%+ ain't you?

I always get 4%+.... I've tried a lot of settings.

Wow that is high, is that @ 225 clocks?

I am running @ 200 clocks, my 5 day #'s

Accepts = 109823488,  HW = 109888   so my HW error % is roughly .1%

Yep at 225M

for 200 you use '0781' value and '40' timeout?

Yes I have timeout set to 40, I have set that as high as 50 and also 45, I was letting it run for a "few" to collect results. I am going to switch the timeout back to 50 for a "few" days and see if that helps lower HW errors or maybe I should lower it? As I said have not seen much of a variant due to 'timeout' setting.

Made 4th request for refund since the 16th without even one response. Account updated to " Refund ready for process (Payed) " but no email to accept banking info or give estimated refund date. I have also given them a BTC wallet address, if they would like to refund that way. Very piss-poor customer service, but they probably fired all the CS to hire more techs for their installs.

KnC == POS

could you please post a code for overclocking? I havent seen the method laid out clearly and simply yet.

Code:
code window

I think the voltage of the regulators is the issue, rather than power or temperature.  I have a pencil and a 2000W PSU ready, and am hoping to spend some time with my device tomorrow to see how easily the regulators can all be pencil-modded. 40 resistors total that will need to be modified if you want to get the frequency any better than 225

I have not done any pencil mod on the resistors only adjusting the asic-freq

Code:
ssh root@(your miner) - pass = admin
vi /config/asic-freq.config

#option 'freq_value'    '0881'  #225M
#option 'chip_freq'     '225'
#option 'timeout'       '45'  <--- I have changed this from 50 - 40

option 'freq_value'    '0781'  #200M
option 'chip_freq'     '200'
option 'timeout'       '40'

274  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner (1w/GH/s) on: April 23, 2014, 04:52:50 PM
Has there been any discussion on overclocking the S2?  Potentially adding additional power and increasing frequency?  If there is a different discussion board please point me in the right direction!

I replaced PSU with a 1300 watt PSU, OC'd it to 225 clock and watched the HW errors climb and pool speed fall. I turned down clocks to 200 and while HW errors are still SUPER high, it is hashing @ 1050+ on the pools. So as of yet OC'ing the S2 is LAME!

$3099 (return coupon) is NOT a good price, cloudhash price is dumping (> $4/GHS) @ $3.09 per GHS, plus power and heat I can do better letting a MEGA-DataCenter run the equipment for me.

Sorry BitMainTech the product does NOT warrant the price.

IMO, Neptunes will be all shipped by end of June. My guess would be 1st batch starts shipping mid May, 2nd batch mid June

ROFLMAO!!  Right, Right.. Sure, Sure.. Land 1500KM west of Australia cheap you say..  Roll Eyes

2 weeks NO refund, KnC == 100% Shit-Baggers!

Hi,

Is anyone having issues accessing S2 units through a VPN?

I have two installations behind two different VPNs and cannot access any S2. Other machines behind the VPN are accessible and the machines are accessible when I am directly connected to the network. These are batch 1 and batch 2 machines.

Cheers

I have NO issues accessing my batch 2's thru the VPN.

more importantly, what's it hashing at the Pool??

15 minute averages:

538.6 GH/s on acct #1
541.9 GH/s on acct #2

280  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner (1w/GH/s) on: April 17, 2014, 12:24:32 AM
OC'd @ 200 - ASIC Freq

OC'd @ 225 ASIC Freq

Replaced PSU w/ EVGA 1300.

Hardware errors are much higher! But it is doing short of 2000 WU more per minute @ 225.
