For consumers in Europe: http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/ecc/index_en.htmClick your country and start! I've seen those pictures.... I was expecting to buy from a "Rolls Royce" or "Rolex" company, invested more then 10.000 dollars to get the best I could get, from the best company in the world, wellknown and respected everywhere, but when I see how it is build, even the worst Chinese manufactor does not make these mistakes. I am really shocked.... Is this the new way of KNC? Are the still expected Neptunes and Titans also manufactured like garbage? Anyway, did people receive a UPS tracking code from KNC? I did not receive any mail or post last week from them.

They created the label on Tuesday and my miner arrived on Friday. If it has any bearing on shipping priority, I did have an early order CA batch Neptune ordered.

I don't care what excuse KNC wants to use, this was NOT an instance of UPS mishandling or even a problem with the packing. These units could have had white-glove treatment in every step of transport and still would have arrived in pieces. This is undoubtedly a problem with engineering and assembly.
And the tool that packed them. Firstly, using bubble wrap with the LARGE air bubbles with idiotic. That'll bounce things around twice as much as the smaller bubble wrap. Secondly, they should have used the pink bubble wrap (anti-static) for sensitive electronic hardware. But wait - it costs more than regular bubble wrap. So why didn't they? Because knc are _____ ________!

If you're in the US, there is no duty, tax or VAT. I have no idea what other countries charge. We haven't received official word from KNC on how they plan to rectify this situation. So until then, who knows? Then again, we may never hear anything from them. If you do refuse shipment, you have fewer cards to play, in my opinion. There is a tiny, tiny chance that your units may be ok. And preliminary word on the KNC forum suggests that they may ship extra units to make up for any deficiency. So there is a chance that you may ultimately end up with more than 3THs. But do NOT count on that. KNC are CHEAP BASTARDS and you can almost be certain they will ultimately do less than you would expect.

BULLSHIT!!
keep it and demand they replace it with a fully functioning rig!
then you will at least have some spare pieces...
which you will no doubt need.
This, I wouldn't refuse delivery without a RMA you are just opening yourself up to a world of trouble.

yes, most definitely, tell the delivery bloke to take it right back to castle trampsvest in the swedish northlands. er i tried that when my DHL box arrived soaking wet held together by the DHL driver and full of rainwater....he just laughed and said NO....I'd have to take it up with the mnfg and send it back and the mnfg and DHL could then hash out who's fault it was for the soggy mess i took the unit panic induced hair dryer later (after pouring out i measured it 1/2 cup of rainwater)...etc..it worked like a charm...(imho i suspect it was soaked at the beginning of the trip as a soggy box mess..thus had to be hand carried by each driver to and from till it got to me ..in that the middle was gone and only being held together by the driver like a accordion..or the whole unit would have fell out of the box....thus was not 'tossed about' like some units ..probably saved me a lot of grief getting soaked and in a disintegrating box.. it is my only clue on WHY from .90 to 1.00 software it always hsshes at around 555gh cold/hot or whatever.....nothng fancy just chug's and due to obvious 'divine intervention' i never really touch it ...just leave it alone.. myself I'd take the frankenjupiter and if it is broke go to a local EE dept at a univ or votech and see what i can get working for beer and pizza...was on knc forums just call them up tell them it is trashed and they said to some keep it...we will send another no charge..would be well worth the 400 bucks to experiment but then again "I'd be feeling lucky" in that god already likes me as far as shipping is concerned...(knock wood) Searing

Hiding doesn't work for me anymore, lol. They don't even ring my bell or knock on the door. They just leave $10,000 equipment right on the front steps and run back to the truck. And when I catch them in the act, they don't even ask me to sign. That's why I watch the tracking so carefully now. Luckily I work at home so I'm always there during the day.

*** Latest news from KNC ***
All,
So last week we really messed up. We sent out products to our customers which arrived broken, damaged and quite frankly unusable.
So in order to fix this the best way we can. We are not asking for these products back from anyone who has received them already. We will simply assume that every card was damaged in shipment even if it arrived undamaged. We will send out to every customer who had a 3TH Jupiter or several already arrive, enough cards to replace their entire collection,
There is no way our customers should have to suffer because of our mistake in not properly securing the components during shipment. Any effected box in transit is being cancelled by UPS and returned to us to be fixed by our teams,
The factory that produces the cards has been running over the weekend and we hope to have all the replacement cards sent out this week.
Rather than spending more time than is absolutely necessary on this we are going to take the approach of the famous Swedish Furniture maker and ship the box with minimal self-assembly. An instruction video is being made today and will be available later for all to see. Again we are sorry for not delivering up to our own accepted standard,
Thanks

Looks promising let's see how they go this round Yeah, despite the bad situation with shipping they have done the right thing here. Bravo Knc! If I'd received a broken unit and knew that I was getting a free replacement this week I'd be taking the broken ones straight down to the local electrical shop and trying to get it fixed. If things can be fixed that's double the hash power for the same price.. NICE!

This is solid proof.
This is happening at another large mining outfit also.
They are blowing out old inventory as they upgrade to the newer machines.
