Somebody said that whole setup is about 17PH.  It's fucking disgusting how they compete with their customers like that.  "Customer Appreciation" & "Network Protection"...thanks KnC.

Not defending KnC at all, but I would have to say they did come through on their promise of not shipping any device in Dec 2013, Jan and Feb 2014.  They waited until March to start building and bringing their massive mining operation online.
Wrong. They started building the datacentre at the very beginning of February 2014.

This article was from the 4th February "Over the weekend, a team of 25 people in the greatest secrecy worked on assembly." http://sverigesradio.se/sida/artikel.aspx?programid=98&artikel=5774907

The fact they had the keys to the building and already had materials to start building suggests they started planning it from mid-January, if not earlier.

The video where Andreas is interviewed in front of a wall of hashing boards was posted here on the 12th February. So they were already hashing in the datorhall by the 12th February.

It was in the works in 2013.  There's a lead time attached to ASIC fabrication, their chips would have had to of been ordered sometime prior to Dec of 2013.

Does anyone have an estimated ETA on either version of Titan?  May? June? July? August? September? November? Next Year?

Realistically?  What percentage of probability would you say?

BARF    -being careful not to ship too many devices as to dilute the return to investors/customers.  Who the fck are they shipping units to if it is not their customers???

obviously a delay tactic as they are making tons of equipment and mining in the meantime as stealthily as possible.

You can't mine stealthily with a ton of equipment. In Bitcoinland that's a contradiction in terms.

Adding a few dozen or hundred TH here and there as machines are built and brought online,  and staying in dark pools and jumping to other pools in and out.  Not 5-1O PH additions in one day.

I would say 90+% it ships December or later considering their previous efforts.
Jupiter was supposed to ship September and shipped in October.
Neptune was supposed to ship Q1/Q2 yet still hasn't shipped and probably won't ship until after June even though according to KNC they are "on track", whatever that means.
If they really are "on track" then they knew from the beginning that they would not be able to ship Q1 and lied to everyone using the possible Q1 release date as a marketing scheme.

What ever happened to under-promise and over-deliver?
Them better be some 6th/s Neptunes.

You can be pretty sure all those power savings KNC have announced have been coming at the expense of hashrate Tongue

It's months since buttorammer announced their priority with Neptune was energy efficiency and that mining farms with energy efficiency machines and low electricity costs would be the eventual "winners".

KNC customers want additional hashrate, KNC want energy efficient devices for their future business as a cloud hashing company. Guess which of those two groups will get what they want? Clue: Not the KNC customers Cheesy

Edit: I originally posted some information and an opinion, but forget about it! I don't know why I even try and speak sense in this thread. Anyone posting an opinion that differs to that of Avengers just gets it shoved down their throat. It's like Lord Of The Flies in here, I think this thread should just be shut down, or properly moderated.

IMO, Neptunes will be all shipped by end of June. My guess would be 1st batch starts shipping mid May, 2nd batch mid June

So even though KNC have stated "The first customers (batch 1) are expected to be hashing in our data center in early June and the last customer will hash in our data center around the last week of June. ", you think the Neptune shipping will start mid May?  Roll Eyes

Edit: So I just realised that KNC have only announced when the 3TH Cloud Hashing begins for Neptune customers, NOT when they expect to ship Neptune. They've said the cloud hashing starts at these dates in June, but they still don't have any date on Neptune actually shipping. So indeed, looks like Q3/Q4 is getting even more likely.

Wow, I was keeping track of the used boards they're selling and before the weekend up through yesterday they had 205 left in stock, today when I put in the max order of 500 it happily says OK we have that many.

Me thinks they are going to be selling those boards for a long time, as they rotate out of Datorhall ....

This is mostly irrelevant to Bitcoin mining chips: they are so redundant and fault-tolerant, that they can use just about any technology that has working transistors ("working" in the analog sense of the word).

Fab problems for a top-flight light-house customers are actually moderately good for small, research-like customers doing Bitcoin mining: less competition for the limited wafer-start slots.

Edit: grammar corrections.
