I think it's more funny that all who replied and are in a signature campaign are, themselves, against spammers.
Not necessarily. An example would be Blazed, IIRC they are also against campaigns but they did participate in some. IMO it is better for them to take a chunk out of the budget, than a few spammers.

Also, Lauda I think it would be useful, as you can delete posts at your position, for you to try and help clean the thread (as long as that doesn't interrupt with your regular moderating of this forum.
You're looking at the wrong moderator. As a patroller, I can only moderate newbies and the sections for which I'm assigned as a moderator (Croatian & Speculation).

(Also, QS still hasn't improved upon his posts that were said to be somewhat confusing to other members - including this recent post). His speculation is highly likely to happen though.
My point is, we can't really know if we don't try anything. Every solution is going to have cons and people complaining. Does that mean that we shouldn't try anything? I'm not generally supportive of this particular idea though. The quality has degraded severely during 2016 - keep in mind that the severity of this differentiates depending on the section. As an example, I'll take Bitcoin Discussion. It is extremely difficult to find content that is worth reading and replying to these days.

Agree. Only reason I look into Bitcoin Discussion subforum nowdays is to see if it's a new core release. The posts is just spam spam spam.
No useful information what so ever

Edit: and poor newbies, Beginners & Help is possibly the worst place to look if you want some useful information

Can also use Open office.
https://www.openoffice.org/

It's available for Windows, Linux and Os X. It does pretty much the same as Office 365, but it is open source and free.

If George Carlin didn't change his ways just before he died, nobody will be laughing as they watch him burn.

Cool

Pretty sure you would. You even think it is cool to send people to eternal suffering according to your smiley.
Who needs a Satan when your worshiping a monster
266  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How old is earth on: July 27, 2016, 07:05:08 PM
They didnt used the c-14 method.

To find out the age of earth they determined the amount of PB which was created due the radio active decay of Uranium in meteorites that felt down on earth.

Meteorites that didnt change since 4.5 billion years except for the radio active decay of the chemical elements.

The meteorites were meteors before they changed. Then they changed and became meteorites as they fell to earth. Nobody knows what they were while they were still meteors. Why not? Because nobody was up there to analyze them enough to know. It's all ASSUMPTION. If there is any real meteor science, there is extremely little of it.

The thing to do would be to go out there in a space plane, grab a meteor, analyze it as best possible, attach super-heat-resistant monitors to it, and dump it onto the earth at speeds and vectors that it would have had if it had hit earth on its own. Then we might have some scientific knowledge about meteors... at least one of them.

And that is just the beginning.

The popular scientific age of the earth is all assumptions.

Cool

And the wild guess of goat herders from the iron age with no education what so ever is so much better..

God will give a new world to those who believe in Jesus. This one will be soon destroyed.

And people wonder why we say religion is dangerous....
269  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Save the planet or not on: July 26, 2016, 07:27:34 PM
The planet is fine. It's been thru far worse than us.
We  on the other hand might be screwed.
The planet will live on with or without humans and I don't think it will miss us

If you don't believe in ghosts or spirits then you probably believe in aliens.

You got to believe in something.  Embarrassed

Why?
If its not real, why believe it?
271  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Antisemitism on: July 12, 2016, 06:06:54 PM
From Wikipedia at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semitic_people:
Quote
The term Semitic people or Semitic cultures (from the biblical "Shem", Hebrew: שם‎‎) was a term for people or cultures who speak or spoke the Semitic languages. The terminology was first used in the 1770s by members of the Göttingen School of History, who derived the name from Shem, one of the three sons of Noah in the Book of Genesis. The term, together with the parallel terms Hamitic and Japhetic, is now obsolete.

Various scholars have stated that the concept of Semitic ethnicity, culture or Proto-Semites should be avoided or does not exist.

In archaeology, the term is sometimes used informally as "a kind of shorthand" for ancient Semitic-speaking peoples.

All this application of the word "Semite" or the word "Semitism" refers to any of the people of the Middle East.

All average people are wonderful people. In general, all people want peace. Then their leader stir them up to make war with other people.

Jews are the same as others regarding peacefulness. The bankers generally are not entirely Jewish, but like the warmongers among us, they are a mixture of Jew and people of other ME nations... especial people from the Iran or Iraq areas... the lands of the ancient Babylonians.

Picking on people because of their race or nationality is not good. It causes envy and strife. There are good and bad Semites, just as there are good and bad people among all the nations of the world.

Cool

I think this is the first time i agree with BADecker.

Come on. 45 is not that old. I'm 47 and felt pretty young until I saw this thread.  Cry
273  Other / Off-topic / Re: Old people earning bitcoins on: July 08, 2016, 05:50:42 AM
I think there is many here that is over 45. I'm one of them.
I used to make some money with GPU mining back when you could make a profit with it.
274  Other / Politics & Society / Re: If Jesus could do miracle Pilate would never ever allowed his assassination... on: July 05, 2016, 06:57:37 PM
Jesus did magical tricks and illusions, not miracles.
I think exactly the same, that Jesus whas just a smart man who know what to say and when do it,making tricks  and illusions:
that was the reason the bible was created, everybody thought that he is really a son of god cause he can make impossible things... but in modern days nobody says that a magician is a child of god lol

No. This is not true. How can a mere magician cause such a stirring in the hearts and minds of people that Christianity is over a billion people after 2,000 years for it to be destroyed?

Cool

Easy when they have been deceived into believing he wasn't a magician.

His enterainment career was probably going smoothly until his tragic Houdini style "escape whilst nailed to a cross" stunt went badly wrong.

It didn't go wrong. He arose from the dead on the third day.    Cool

According to some of the gospels. They can't even agree on that
275  Other / Politics & Society / Re: European Union on: June 30, 2016, 07:44:55 PM
Many Norwegians are fighting to get out of the economic union that we are in against our will.
Sadly it doesn't seem that we get a vote since both out big party's are pro EU even if just, if I remember right, 19% of the people is pro EU. UK, don't go for the Norwegian model. Get something better
276  Other / Meta / Re: What's your "Report to Moderator" % rate at? on: June 30, 2016, 07:38:53 PM

277  Other / Politics & Society / Re: New poll shows atheists are no longer the least electable group in america on: June 30, 2016, 07:33:02 PM
it will be difficult for the follower atheist to follow an election in any country, until recently the world still does not admit that atheism is a religion. The pool is of no use because all already knew without having to see results.

Atheism is not a religion.

Just like silence is not music...

BTW, as the world becomes more educated, your bronze age nonsense will become a footnote in the history books.
In 20-30 years, nobody will be treating you seriously if you say that "God talks to you...every day" or that "God is everywhere...".

This mental disorder will be recognized by the medical community.

In the same way that silence is not heard, atheism is not heard, either. If you hear atheism, it's because the music of your vocal cords has turned it into a religion.

Cool

Science is failing Why? Scientists have proven God exists over and over again in many ways. Yet they completely ignore the proof, and focus on other things.

When science ignores the obvious like they ignore the existence of God, they are doomed. It is showing, already, in how they take science theory (not known to be fact) and attempt to treat it as though it were fact. It is showing already, in how they attempt to us Quantum Mechanics to prove science facts, when QM is only probability that can be used to disprove the exact things that it is supposedly used to prove.

At this rate, in a hundred years, either science will be gone, or the scientists will.

Cool

Scientist haven't proven that. As I have said over and over again. Show me the paper that proves God.
I have even given you links to search engines for scientific papers and still nothing. Stop lying!
278  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Coincidence that Sun and Moon seem same size or God's work? on: June 29, 2016, 05:27:49 AM
Number 1 is wrong. We have found loads of them
We have pretty much the complete fossil record of the whale among others
2 see number 1
3 see number 1
4 see number 1

Don't think I will bother to read the rest

Who is "we"? do you have some examples of "loads of them" (not quite millions but...)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CW2jD3CcYU

I already mentioned the whale. There is fossils from when it was a doglike creature up to today. if you go to British museum of natural history you can see many of them, but if you mean a creature that is half dog half cat or a crocoduck, we don't have them. The reason is that they never existed.
Edit as for the video. I don't give a wet fart. If they got the proof. submit a scientific paper that proves it. if its gets thru reviews, I'll look at it.
