2601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ethics of boxing and gambling on: July 27, 2021, 01:33:45 PM
I know many people bet on boxing matches and I recently saw a post on an "slapping tournament". I was thinking that professional boxing is kind of questionable as a sport discipline and even more so as a gambling event. It is known that many boxers sustain long term effects of repeated micro-trauma and even some have been know to die in the ring. For all boxing fans and for others that may have a view on this, how is this being considered a fully legal activity being supported? And how is betting of people hitting each other being considered as legal and ethical in today´s world?

Boxing and martial arts in general are one of the oldest and most traditional sports around and i am 100% sure they will still be around in a 100 years. It is true though that every martial arts where you can get hit on the head a lot of times with heavy force can have a severe consequences for the rest of the life of the athletes. That being said i think that those sports have evolved quite a lot already. We are not in the seventies anymore where boxer that could not defend themself anymore still received 10 heavy punches before the referee interfered and stopped the fight. Nowadays the referee stops the fight almost immediately if a boxer is not defending himself anymore and it's the same in the UFC. Also the heads of the athletes get now checked very regularly and if anything is wrong then the doctors would prohibit that the boxer fights again.
2602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never Trade On Emotions on: July 27, 2021, 01:24:42 PM
I would like to give you some advice, Especially to those who are new in the market. Whenever there is a pump in the market, you think you should invest in ALTs And you may benefit from it. But after your investment, the market goes down. When you see the market go down, you think you are losing money, so you sell everything. Again, when you see the market go up, you invest. This way you get hurt again and again. So whenever you have to invest, invest a small portion of your portfolio. So even if the market goes down, you have your portfolio. Never trade on emotions. Calculate well and then invest in it.

I always find it weird to observe all that panic selling going on once the market starts to dip a little and of course once the first big panic sells are starting this triggers a chain reaction with even more people starting to become nervous at first and then they decide to sell even though they did not plan to do so. If you sell directly at the beginning of a market dip that is probably still not that bad if you bought that coins at higher prices, but if your intention was to hold no matter but then you panic sell after you observed the market going down for weeks and weeks that is probably the worst thing you can do because then it is very likely that you sell your tokens at the absolute bottom.
2603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 27, 2021, 11:09:21 AM
And Osaka is out, don't know what happened in first set but second one was very competitive. Vondorusova kept her level of play and in the end Osaka just made too many unforced errors. Net was not her friend today, she hit top of the net numerous times and lost the point every time. If just few of those balls dropped a bit differently they would now be in third set.

I guess it was just to much pressure for Osaka. If i remember correctly she already said before the french open that she has some sort of depression and does not want to talk to journalists anymore. So she seems to be a very sensible person in this regard and now she is in the situation, that she was the last one to carry the torch to ignite the olympic fire in the stadium which is a huge honor but also applies a huge pressure on you to perform well during the games. So i would say that this was a pretty bad pick by the japanese olympic team to choose Osaka to do that, both for her and for them. They surely knew that she is a very sensible person but still decided that way.
2604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Altcoin season started again? on: July 27, 2021, 11:01:53 AM
Hello there,

What do you think about the altcoin season in summer and autumn?

There are a lot of factors telling us that BTC will grow much higher according to the fresh news:

And a lot of other positive news for crypto.

Nevertheless this market is so speculative and unpredictable!

maybe you could give me your piece of advice and share your opinion about a situation on the market?

I am still not sure if we see another altcoin run this summer or even this year. The market movements in the past have shown, that we need the big coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum to be stable for a while before they can start to climb again. Once this happens it takes a few more weeks then the other altcoins also start to increase in price but this takes some time. So i think even if BTC starts a bullrun now then the smaller altcoins will probably start to increase not before early autumn. I am not sure though to be honest if we will see increasing Bitcoin prices anytime soon though. Maybe if Amazon give a clear statement, that they want to accept cryptos in the future and other big companies join in then this could trigger a real bullrun.
2605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Olympics 2020/2021 : Discussion & Predictions on: July 27, 2021, 09:10:13 AM
I just watched a couple of hours of surfing, as I've almost never seen any of it live and it's making its debut at the Olympics this time. I have to say that I am quite disappointed with the entertainment value of this sport. One round lasts 30 minutes and most of the time nothing happens, as the surfers wait for a suitable wave. So it often happens that you don't see any action for 7-8 minutes. I don't think the sport is 100% fair either, because the athletes also need a lot of luck to catch the right wave. If the opponent catches a big wave and can show a jump and you only have small waves, then you almost can't win no matter how good you are.

That's why I also think it's an unsuitable sport to bet on, because you just can't predict nature, at least when the competition is in the ocean.

2606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KickEx and KickToken, what can you say? on: July 27, 2021, 09:01:09 AM
Hi, Im newbie here and in cryptocurrency, so thats why I'm here

I was in company of guys who discuss cryptocurrency and exchanges. One of them told me about KickTockens, its young project and good for investing but I have some doubts.

So, I've red some reviews about it and there lots of messages that tokens and kickex are fraud. There are also some reviews with good experience in KickEx and with KickTokens.

Do you have any experience with KickTockens or traiding on KickEx?

I've heard good reviews about KickEx as exchange, is it true or just one lucky case?

P.S. I know there lots of topics about Kick but I want get new information.

If i remember correctly a lot of people got thousands of those kick tokens into their wallet, in some cases in each of their wallets as an airdrop, but i think the twist was that those token are locked and you have to produce a lot of trading volume on their exchange to unlock those tokens. At the moment the price for a kick token is around 0,01 $ which means that it shows you a lot of value if you have a ten thousands of them in your wallet. I guess this is their way of luring people into using their exchange and i would say that their marketing strategy works pretty well, because a lot of people are talking about kicktoken and their exchange because of that, but it is also kinda dubious and i would be careful with that token for now.

2608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tokyo 2020 Men's Olympics Basketball Tournament on: July 25, 2021, 05:15:48 PM
It's a sorry loss for the US team 83-76 they are leading most of the game but cannot keep up,  the two missed free throws of the US in the closing minutes of the game spells the difference, and a missed three points shot by Durant put the US team in big trouble

France showed cohesiveness and aggressiveness in the last 3 minutes they've been playing for a long time, compared to the US, I still hope they can still get into the finals.

This result may seem very surprising at first glance, but if you study the subject a little, this outcome was even almost predictable. Many experts have predicted that the US team might struggle in this tournament and there is definitely no guaranteed gold medal if they don't give their best. There are several reasons for this. For one, the Americans didn't really send a team, but simply the most well-known players who wanted to go to Tokyo. On the other hand, the FIBA rules apply at the Olympic Games, not the NBA rules, and it is now the case that there are no small teams any more; the national team of almost every country now consists of professionals.
2609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful what you choose to invest in now, not all coins will recover. on: July 25, 2021, 04:51:18 PM
The popular opinion now is buy the coins that are down, and when the market recovers that you'll be in profit. While that saying is correct but that doesn't go for all coins. Don't go buying every coins you see losing value just because you think when the market bounces up, they'll follow. Majority are losing value because people are seeing them for what they truly are which are just a waste of investment and time, also a ticking time bomb waiting to explosed.

The memes you all are rushing to buy today most probably will die with this market and won't be much of a sort after coin when the next bull run comes same goes for the Defi, NFT, launchpad projects you're all rushing to get them cheap not knowing you're buying a waste. Choose wisely, follow up the project. See if their developers are working on something or just hiding behind the now popular saying, the market is unfavorable.

Project with visions uses the bear market to build as they'll be getting less distracted with the whole when moon or when binance question for those not listed there yet. The current market situation present an opportunity to research properly and invest wisely, take notes.

It's true that some of the new altcoins that made such huge gains during the last bull market will probably never recover to the price level that they were back then. During the last Bull run i mainly invested into pre-sales of new projects via launchpads and temporarily my Portfolio had a really high value, but now since the last 3 months my portfolio value dropped more than 90% and i fear that it will never reach it's ATH value again, even if we have another bull run with new ATH's for Bitcoin and Ethereum. Bear markets or sideway markets like the one we have at the moment are great opportunities in my opinion to invest into already established and big projects like ETH and BNB for example.
2610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Olympics 2020/2021 : Discussion & Predictions on: July 25, 2021, 12:25:17 PM
Latest updates on the medals:

It will be a tough competition between Japan, china and united states.

If i had to choose now which nation will be on top after the olympics i would go for china. The US Team will probably win a lot more medals than China during the Track and field competitions. In swimming the US is also strong but China can also win a few medals there so no big advantage for the US. Where i see the big advantage for China are the smaller and lesser known sports, like Badminton where China is favorite and also the shooting competitions. China already won their first gold medal there and others may follow.
2611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we IN for 2021 Bull run on: July 25, 2021, 12:20:22 PM
I remembered 2020 how the market plummet to 700 to 500billion dollars during the pandemic and how May, june and july was so dry that many fears it was the end. suddenly, the market became alive in August and crypto made history. Btc Rose from 10,000 till over 60,000 within months. Are we in for another ride or just market movement in 2021?

My personal assumption is, that we don't see another bullrun in 2021 again like in 2020, because i think it is still to early for that to happen again. Since the beginning of may the markets overall direction is to go down. Personally i would already be happy if we could stabilise now for a couple of weeks in an area of around 33k for Bitcoin and above 2000§ for Ethereum. Once the price stabilises and afterwards starts to increase again for that big crypto currencies then the small cap altcoins will also start to grow again.
2612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Olympics 2020/2021 : Discussion & Predictions on: July 24, 2021, 09:55:19 PM

Its a big surprise that USA is not even on this list at all. China as expect to dominate in this olympic games even from the start. But we should expect USA to start winning some medals and getting fast to the top of the list. Also happy to see Serbia in top 10 with 2 medals already in such an early stage of the olympic games

I would say it's way to early to draw any conclusions. The "main event" of the olympics the track and field competitions haven't even started yet and we all know that the US will definitely win some medals there, and probably way more than China. Also China is still benefiting from the 2008 Olympic Games at home. Before such a tournament in their own country, extreme efforts are always made to promote the sport in the country and accordingly win as many medals as possible. Of course, China is still benefiting from this infrastructure. The same happened in Great Britain before the 2012 olympics.
2613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how can i find alt coins before they explod on: July 24, 2021, 09:48:59 PM
so i havent invested anything in crpto YET (idk i want to see if bitcoin goes down lol il probly invest a bit into bitcoin and eth now tho) so yea as the title says how can i find alt coins that havent blown up.

ps im a total newb so any tips will be welcomed and thanked!  Smiley

Well that is probably the question that everyone wants an answer to but to be honest, i think nobody in here can give you a clear instruction like " first you have to do tihs, than you do that and if you did both steps you will make a guaranteed x10". But we can give you some advice or tips and then you can try to do those things and see if they work out for you.
So you said you want to find new altcoin that have not exploded yet. My strategy for that would be to keep an eye on all those launchpads that are doing the last sale for a project before it gets listed. Just join their telegram groups and read the chat a little. That way you can find out which new projects have a high demand. If you hear a name of such a project then look it up do some reading and decide for yourself if you like what you read. If you want to invest in that project than i would personally wait a few days after the listing because usually the price goes up on the first day but stabilises during the next days.
2614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should online gambling companies be responsible for harm related activities? on: July 24, 2021, 01:50:30 PM
Most online gambling companies claim that they are ethical providers who are committed to corporate social responsibility (CSR) practices.

They propose,  that their CSR are targeted at preventing or minimizing the harm associated with their activities. However,  we are aware that those who are severely addicted to gambling have shown several mental and physical health, social relationships and academic and work performance issues.

Have these companies taken any steps to minimize the harm related to online gambling?  Is their CSR functional? Not all bet sites encourage responsible gambling because they rely on revenue from the losses of  gambling addicts. My question is, should online gambling companies be responsible for the harm related to their activities because of their current failures in the implementation and control of CSR policies?

This is a rather difficult question, which I don't think can be answered with a clear "yes" or "no". As far as I know, the dangers of gambling must be pointed out and this is also implemented by the reputable online casinos and I think that's all you can ask of the casinos. What else should they do? Automatically log out the user as soon as he has gambled for more than 4 or 5 hours? I think everyone is ultimately responsible for being sensible and not slipping into an addiction, no matter what hobby they pursue.
I mean, food companies aggressively promote sweets, even though they are known to be harmful to people. So we should not demand more from casinos than from other companies.

2615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Meme Coin Will Survive Long on: July 24, 2021, 01:39:42 PM
Now a day hundreds of meme coins launching with too much supply and no use case so what do you think about meme coins and will some meme coins survive long or they will all runaway ?

It is true that only a small fraction of those hundreds of meme-coins that were launched withing the last months will still be around in a year. The remaining 99% will be gone by then with zero to none volume or just completely abandoned by the team if a team ever existed in the first place because most meme-coins are just copy and paste projects that literally take 10 minutes of effort to create.
Regarding which meme-coins will still be around in the longterm, the first pick would obviously be Dogecoin it is around for years now and got a massive push within the next months, so Dogecoin is definitely here to stay.
From all those second generation meme-coins i would say shiba-inu and safemoon will still be here in a year.
2616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Olympics 2020/2021 : Discussion & Predictions on: July 24, 2021, 03:13:08 AM
...Also , please remember that Olympics means for an athlete a 4 year preparation
They compete in a lot of events or tournaments during that four-year gap to increase their chances to represent their country but I wouldn't really say it's an actual preparation for the Olympics. What I mean is they do not treat each tournament as a practice match for the big one.

While the Olympics are on, I try to watch as much as possible of the sports that you hardly ever see on TV, like shooting with pistols, rifles or bows.  .For the athletes of these kind of sports the olympic games are the absolute highlight of their careers and probably the only chance for them to be on television so a good result at the Olympics could really change their life. For the big and popular sports, such as football, basketball or golf, the Olympic Games are not so important and usually the best athletes do not compete there, or, as in football, an Under 21 team.
The first medals have already been awarded. Chinese Qian Yang won gold in air rifle.
2617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the weirdest thing about crypto? on: July 24, 2021, 03:03:29 AM
As I've said many times before, crypto behaves in many strange and bizarre ways. Coins that were never thought to become valuable, are now worth serious money as people join the crypto/blockchain craze. Some projects have unique features that are actually useful, while others are nothing more than a direct clone of the original project. One thing for sure is that the industry has achieved a lot in only 12 years since Bitcoin's inception.

The crypto market really operates in mysterious sometimes that i often can not comprehend. For example i hodled a pretty dead coin for more than 3 years. The coin had almost no volume at all and my holdings of that coin where worth around 3k $ back then which was almost impossible to sell because a sell order of 3k would have dumped the price down about 100% or more. Then one day i wanted to join a presale and i did not have funds ready and i thought about that dead coin and i was surprised that there was a buy order that was big enough for all of my coins. So i sold them and i was pretty happy that i was able to do that finally. A few weeks later someone suddenly put in puy orders that were worth 50k$ or even more and suddenly the price of that dead coin shot up from 0,15$ (where i sold) to 1,50$. So after 3 years of hodling an absolute dead coin with zero volume i finally sold and only 2 weeks later someone puts in a huge buy order.. so that two weeks made me miss out on 27k $...now the price is already down again...i don't know who and why bought that coins.  Huh
2618  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Vegas Casinos to allow Cannabis Lounges. on: July 23, 2021, 10:54:31 AM
Apparently according to a recent news the Gambling Casinos in Vegas are going to allow Cannabis Lounges. In Nevada it's not restricted if you do it in your own house.
https://www.gamblingnews.com/news/vegas-nightlife-gets-more-colorful-with-cannabis-lounges/
What do you think about it ?
- I do think that this is a step taken by both casinos and the government to ensure that people loose more, so that they do not care about what they are doing and at the end both the casinos and the government will make more money this way.
I surely think that this might not be the way to go, alcoholic drinks are served in the casinos for a reason. I do think that this might be a "happy news" for most people but at the same time you should realize that this is something that will drastically reduce your chances of winning.

It makes sense i mean if it is legal in that state why should casinos not allow for their customers and because you can only smoke in lounges it also means that people that don't smoke are not disturbed by the smell and the smoke. I don't really think that you are at a higher risk at losing if you have smoked a joint before or during gambling, i mean cannabis just makes you feel more relaxed i don't really think it necessarily increases the willingness to take big risks. It's is possible though that you just don't care that much anymore though after you smoked a joint and therefore make some weird bets or calls  Smiley.
Just look at alcohol. If you have drunk you definitely are willing to take more risks than before and drinking is also allowed so i don't think that smoking cannabis is worse than that.
2619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Campaign Token on: July 23, 2021, 10:15:11 AM
The average bounty allocates the most tokens for Twitter, Facebook, Signature, Youtube and Article campaigns.
is there a bounty that allocates higher tokens to the Signature campaign?

There definitely are bounties out there that allocate more tokens for the signature campaign than to the Twitter, Facebook, or Telegram campaign. In my opinion, the signature campaigns are usually the most profitable ones even though most of the time they are also the most demanding ones with 15-25 posts that are required every week to be eligible for a reward. In the twitter, facebook and especially in the telegram campaigns you have hundreds and sometimes even thousands of participants for the same bounty so the reward that the individual user gets are often in the range of 1-10$ so that is not really worth it in my opinion.
So just keep your eyes open, there are definitely bounties where most tokens are allocated for the signature campaign.

Many people are wondering whether Lewandowski will leave Bayern this summer. It seems like Chelsea are the most serious team about signing him. They should be prepared to sacrifice at least €50m for him. But I feel like he won't be leaving now.

I am also pretty sure that won't leave the club this summer even if they offer 50M€ now. The reason is quite simple, bayern would never let one of the best strikers in the world go before they have a proper replacement for him and i doubt that they have that for the next season because there are hardly any players out there, that could replace lewandowski without a significant loss of quality. Maybe Haaland or Lukaku. From these two players i would prefer Lukaku to be honest. He is 28 years old now and he has proven that he can perform in every league that he was so far. Yes the statistics of Haaland are incredible but with such young players you can never be sure if they can really keep this level for a long time, so Haaland would be a much bigger risk in my opinion and more expensive.
