A red card is nothing compared to the serious injury that Rashford could have caused (whether intentionally or not) so I would say the punishment was fair. What next season are you talking about? Yes this season Union Berlin is really disappointing, honestly I am curious about what really happened to their performance, because obviously this season they are very much worse than last season. As we know last season Union Berlin were able to compete in the top five area of the standings and finish in the top four, previously I thought they would be able to do better this season or at least stay in the top five of the standings, but apparently my expectations and especially the fans were too high on this team.
Now we can see that Union Berlin is almost at the bottom, that's a basic position for a team that has a very bad performance this season and now Union Berlin occupies 16th place above Mainz, with conditions like this then I think it can be concluded that this season they have absolutely no chance even maybe to be able to finish in the top 10 area alone it is quite impossible. That's right, this weekend Union Berlin will face a very strong squad that this season is very surprising with their very good consistency in dominating the top of the table, of course as you said, there is no hope at all in my opinion for Union Berlin to be able to achieve a good result in this match, I think the fans will not expect more.

I have same thing to say about Antony, Mason Greenwood would have done better than Antony and Rasmus Hojlund together only of he never had this issues. Mason Greenwood is one player that would excel with Erik Ten Hag. I hope he find his way back into the squad.

With the defeat they suffered against Shakhtar, Barcelona will now have to work harder to secure their spot and qualify from this group stage. They have 9 points, the same as Porto. Xabi Alonso has so far managed to bring Leverkusen to its best, he is good at being able to see the abilities of each player he has, so that the strategy he runs runs as expected. I have been reading a lot of comments on the bad situation at Manchester United and fans seem to be pointing the finger at Erik Ten Hag. I don’t like ETH but Manchester United’s poor performances cannot be completely blamed on Erik Ten Hag, the board’s decision making in the transfer window has a role to play. Ten Hag is managing the club with the players at his disposal and I feel Manchester United needs to be more technical in their transfer dealings.

Dortmund certainly delivered a shocker last night as they defeated Newcastle United by two goals to nil. Many would have staked their bets on Newcastle United after they defeated Arsenal in the weekend but the opposite was the case. Milan also surprisingly defeated PSG I must confess I didn’t see that one coming, I really don’t know what to say about PSG right now.
Newcastle screwed lots of chances again. They failed to win the first game now they've repeated the same thing. I was expecting them both to share points but Newcastle couldn't come back into the match. Facing Arsenal, that was a game they shouldn't have won if VAR and match officials had taken the clear decision. For Borrussia Dortmund, they couldn't get a a win or share a point with Bayern Munich at home. With the goals conceded, I assumed Newcastle would get a win or draw but they failed. It is quite awkward to see Girona being top scorer in the league with 29 goals now. None of the top teams in the league is able to score more than them yet. Those teams are competing in the Champions League as well of course but still I don't think this can be an excuse. Of course there isn't such thing like the more you score the more likely you become the champions.
However I must still admit that this is very impressive statistics. Their defense is weaker than those teams considering the amount they conceded so far. But Girona are still managing it decently despite not having as strong defenders as those teams have. Apart from that defenders like Eric Garcia and Blind are still good quality ones for Girona though.
I know that Girona cannot remain in that position long before Real Madrid will take it from them because they don't have the squads that will help them to maintain that position in their next 3 games. I still have confidence on Real Madrid that they will win their next game to secure 3 points that will lift their points more higher than Girona and remain in first position in la Liga league till they win the trophy . That though will be impossible after watching the Bayern Munich running down a Borrussia Dortmund who's home run have been excellent prior to the game against Bayern Munich. Harry Kane will be on target as well after he was able to score his third hat trick for Bayern Munich to extend his goal margin to 15! There's possiblity of Bayern Munich winning though so Manchester United can raise bar on Copenhagen. Up in my brain, I'm hoping for Manchester United to get a win, but i don't want to see disappointments. I won't be fully supporting Manchester United, they have lost games they shoulda'v won. Erik Ten Hag has said his squad seems really set for thr challenge tonight. |

There have been no reports or investigations that connected Roman Abramovich to the war in Russia. His only offence was that he communicated or had a close relationship with Vladimir Putin. And I don't see that as a genuine reason for England and her allies to seize his assets. After all every businessman will have political connections. Almost all global business owners have close relationships with many world leaders. They do this to expand their businesses and protect their investments. Almost all Fortune 500 company owners have political connections even in the UK. I am not among the people who disliked the young Russian billionaire who transformed Chelsea from a relatively unknown club and made it one of the best in the world. Roman had a vision and passion for Chelsea and he will ever be remembered.
Chelsea and its fans are still celebrating the convincing win on Monday against one of the best sides in the EPL. But the main test will be on Sunday in their home ground when they will meet the best team in Europe and face some of the most feared strikers in the world. If the Blues win the game against the Cityzens, it will become clearer that they are on the path of recovery.
A win remains a win but I don't like how Chelsea won that game. ( Though I learnt it was same for Tottenham Hotspur against Liverpool ) If Tottenham was complete they should have won. Even with eight man on the pitch, Chelsea had difficulty beating Tottenham Hotspurs defenders couple of times. Smiles.... I hope they can pass the test, but I'm so sorry! I hate to break it to you that, Erling Haaland will score and once again perform the Didier Drogba goal celebration. I don't think there'll be any test, Chelsea are not worthy of facing Manchester City. It's football though anything can definitely happen. Just like it was for Arsenal and then Tottenham Hotspur. Manchester City will be next after underestimating Chelsea? We'll see! |

It was a dramatic win for AS Roma this week against Lecce. They came back in extra time in the second half after being a goal down. I thought it was going to be AS Roma's second consecutive defeat when I saw the time remaining in the 90th minute. But Sardar Azmoun scored to equalize and 3 minutes later Romelu Lukaku scored to turn the game around.
In another match, Juventus managed to steal 3 points from Fiorentina headquarters with a thin score of 0-1. They must be grateful for this result, because if you look at the match, Fiorentina actually played better.
When the game was still leveled, Lukaku and Dybala had a lovely one-two pass that was beautiful to watch, but Dybala's effort wasn't enough to make it into the goal post. Lameck Bands was quite useful on the left wing. He caused that defender lots of issues and wasn't able to keep up if he wasn't supported by his teammates. His workings lead to that goal in the second half but he failed to make a good final pass though it worked for them as Sweden winger ( Pontus Almqvist ) made good movements to shoot that ball into goal. The Penalty miss made the game hard for Roma! Dyballa shoulda been the player for that penalty, there's no way possible he wouldn't have scored that goal to give them the lead. They should improve, this pattern of coming from behind doesn't work for all smaller sides. Lecce never played like the the underdog's anyways. |
