2621  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: iVendPay - a vending machine payment module on: February 27, 2019, 05:09:30 PM
Surely this is just a vending machine made for Viacoin users as the payment is instant and based on the demo video he received his coffee instantly. But I am not sure if other cryptocurrencies in the payment option would receive the exact speed of process Viacoin would take. In terms of pricing I think that it is reasonable as as 1.56 VIA is only around .60 USD which is cheaper compared to what we are buying in Starbucks or other coffee brands. Nice project but like what others have said I also wished that they have created the machine to accept direct payments without installing any apps.
2622  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Japan Approves 17th Crypto Exchange – Its First in Over a Year on: February 27, 2019, 06:43:54 AM
I don't know what's up with Japan on having multiple echanges in their country already. I thought when their exchange got hacked they would learn  to monitor small numbers of exchanges by now. But what they are doing on having 17 exchanges in one country is not that small, not unless they have doubled the personnel on monitoring these exchanges they supposed to not accept any new exchanges anymore. I just hope that this does not translate into having less security within their industry as I know this could backfire.

There are several step by step guides for setting up 2fa on Binance account there is even one included on the official support site of Binance. The thing you are feeling now is doubt and fear that you might lose your account when you messed up the process but to tell you honestly if you done all the things in the guide you won't need to worry about anything, just think of it as the next process for your account's safety and doing nothing now won't help you secure your account.
2624  Economy / Economics / Re: Bull VS Bear Markets, How Do You Tell The Difference!? on: February 26, 2019, 04:35:29 PM
I don't know what is there to be confused about when we are down to more than 80% from our current ATH. You might be talking about the consolidation stage we are in where we are both seeing green and red candles as well as price rallies and price corrections, well make no mistake as this are just actions common in both market the only difference is the price actions we are seeing now is happening in the bear market. Just remember the points that if we have not seen any reversals of the market we are still in the current market situation which is the bear market.
2625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Central bank power on bitcoin? on: February 26, 2019, 02:47:55 PM
Just like what the member who first replied to this thread we will literally see no any changes in the recession we have seen in 2008. 10 years ago Bitcoin literally is valueless and is known by just hundreds of people, there wasn't even no Bitcointalk forum back then so modes of communications and transactions will go through back channels and a few selected modes of communication. If the Central Bank decided to flood their money into Bitcoin which almost majority of the population does not know about it might signal them the wrong idea and might cause more panic in the market.
2626  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-02-24]Blockchain Specialists Provide Feedback on “Facebook Login” on: February 26, 2019, 02:15:40 PM
This might be Mark Zuckerberg's answer on how the US government will stay away from him and the company for a while. Remember this guy was under a senate investigation because of privacy and data issues from his social media website, they raised concerns on how their users' data and personal information are going out from companies they haven't even shared it on so with this kind of feature it might eliminate the need of pursuing more evidence as it will provide more transparency within Facebook's system.

It's possible but this is just a strategy. Just because you want to use a blockchain doesn't mean you can't get your users data, especially if you use private blockchain.
Facebook still gets the users' data no matter what and it is now out of the question, what the US government wants to see is how Facebook is using the personal information on their website and the blockchain integration might be his answer and his silver bullet to the senate the next time he will be summoned to the court. If the new digital ledger will prove Facebook is clean and is not leaking any information from their users I think that the government will back off from them for a while.
2627  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Hacking on: February 25, 2019, 02:58:39 PM
I had the same thing happen to me as others have said. When using electrum a message appeared saying I need to update the app. Then after redownloading I saw my funds had been sent to another account.
Sorry about that you have been a victim of the message being sent to old versions of electrum asking to update your app with their own version of electrum, once you have added your private key to their own version your BTC is good as gone. They have announced it on their website that hackers somehow have been able to broadcast their own message for older versions of their software, I believe you can do anything to be able to retrieve it back as it might be transferred to a dozen addresses by now.

unless the source code for bitsler is public, then provably fair is meaningless and only applies to a randomd gen seed, not the owners control of what the user experience is. Like all online casinos, play for fun, but if you want truly provable fair go to a real casino in vegas
All legit gambling sites' provably fair system always revolves around encrypted hash that has already pre-determined numbers/results which both the users and the gambling site doesn't know, they can't even change it once it was set. Not unless you have reasonable proof that they are somehow rigged you cannot convince us with what you are implying. Also why do you want us to go in a real casino? If you haven't notice yet we are in a forum for cryptocurrency users where do you expect us to use it in a real casino?
2630  Other / Meta / Re: New collection of badges for self-made users on: February 24, 2019, 07:38:11 PM
This is a good idea but I was thinking that instead of overlaps with the member's badge it would be better that even airdropped users could still earn the silver coins as a "self-made user" by earning merits in the future. So for example a member who is a long time Legendary now has earned 100 merits from his post two of his five gold coins would be converted to two silver ones equal to the rank of a Full member. So still all members have the chance to be self-made even the ones who have high ranks before the merit system.
2631  Economy / Speculation / Re: The slow 5 days of green ended in less than 5 hrs. on: February 24, 2019, 06:41:45 PM
Not all hope is lost as of the moment this may just be a correction from Bitcoin not seeing green for a long time. The 3,800$ level is a known support and it was expected to be re-visited when the RSI level was extremely overbought. So we need to further observe the market in the couple of hours/days on where BTC will continue to be headed as nothing is clear from this slight decrease we are seeing.
2632  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why would you use an antivirus? Safe PC and Safe working. on: February 24, 2019, 04:59:56 PM
~snip~

You must have basic knowledge of using a computer and browsing the internet, If you do not know how to use them like crazy then any kind of problem can happen at any time, It depends on your usage How do you use it, An antivirus will not have to solve all your problems, And none of the software in the world has yet to make any problem that will solve all the problems, A program can only help you, it can not do all your work, An antivirus and the right ones will some help you.
That is what I am trying to point out. Every now and then a user will somehow let a malicious software be allowed to be installed in their pcs letting it be undetected to their computers. I know this personally even if my anti-virus and anti-spyware softwares run on a regular automatic scan some of them are still left when you do manual scanning and then you will realize that most of them are something you have downloaded by yourself. After that day I realize that I need to be careful on what I download or click when I am surfing the web.
2633  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why would you use an antivirus? Safe PC and Safe working. on: February 23, 2019, 08:28:46 PM
Having an installed antivirus on a computer is a good solution, but if the user does not know the basics of security on the Internet, then the antivirus may not be a panacea.
If you can want use any antivirus you can try full package or full version with 'Internet security facilities' antivirus,So I thing solved maximum security problem, but it is depend your antivirus company.
Even that wouldn't work, every time a anti-virus would detect something the user still has the authority to give permissions. For example a website is blocked by your anti-virus users could still give exceptions to still continue visit the website and maybe download a malicious software. At the end users are still at fault as they risk themselves on allowing exceptions. Still users need to have proper internet knowledge when it comes to scams, phishing, and malicious softwares as even anti-virus does not guarantee your computer's protection from your own wrongdoing.
2634  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Screwed up by Livecoin on: February 23, 2019, 07:33:23 PM
I think the best option now is to back up your story on telling the truth, it would be believable in their end if somehow you have tracked your gains through a portfolio management app, and in the best of your memories you just need to transfer all your trades to that application. Even if your Livecoin's trading history is cleared I think that they would believe your story as you have showed them the record on how you have come up with that gain, showing them the txids would also help showing how the money transferred inside Livecoin and outside to your wallet. Creating a whole new fake story now will just get you in a lot of trouble.
2635  Economy / Economics / Re: Bruce Schneier criticizes blockchain technology on: February 23, 2019, 06:42:35 PM
Just recently, he delivered a speech that talks about blockchain wherein he claimed that cryptocurrencies are not as useful as many perceive it to be. He explained that the technology does not serve its primary purpose, which is to be a trusted system that eliminates the need for a third party.
I think the headline has misled us to believe that he was also not seeing any usefulness on blockchain technology on itself. Just as I quickly skimmed through the article I saw that he was not pointing out on blockchain technology but on its accordance with cryptocurrencies. We have seen people like him before where they don't see anything good from cryptocurrencies but only its flaws within the system, the problem here is he gave a example about how banks are more reliable than cryptocurrencies when it comes to the security of your money that if someone hacked your wallet it is good as gone, he didn't pointed it out that even your money in the bank can be stolen easily just by losing your credit/debit card. The point is all systems have flaws and as a user of both we are still taking risk because of the people who have bad intentions for us.
2636  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-02-17]Crypto Ransomware Attacks Soppy Users Demanding Money on: February 21, 2019, 08:51:31 PM
Sometimes people are too dumb to understand and realize that what they are mostly believing is real. They tend to fall prey in this kinds of tactics as they are too gullible. If I myself would receive that email, I'll instantly delete it as I know that email scams mostly happen even if it is not sent to the spam folder also email fraud like this one are too common the only thing being change is on how they will try to scam or blackmail you.
2637  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: Blockchain & Bitcoin Conference Prague, 22 March on: February 21, 2019, 08:16:07 PM
Tickets are surprisingly cheap, I did the conversion and 4,356 CZK is just around 192 USD which could still go cheaper as they have a sign up bonus which will further discount you to -10% of the ticket price, that's if you will be ordering the early-bird promo. But of course the problem here is if you are a foreigner living in a different country you will be incurring more cost for travel and accommodation. So the event is really meant for everyone, not unless they have a live streaming service for it.
2638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 21, 2019, 07:16:22 PM
Fox Sports has reported that there is a potential swap deal involving Manchester United's Romelu Lukaku and Inter's Mauro Icardi and Juventus' Dybala. It is rumored that Machester is looking to swap them between either two Serie A stars which in my opinion is far from happening. The drop on Lukaku's value is way more significant compared to how important those two players are for their team. If they are looking for a real swap deal to happen they might need to start looking for another player.
2639  Economy / Speculation / Re: JP Morgan creating their own bitcoin storyboard with the help of Bloomberg on: February 21, 2019, 06:35:57 PM
With all my experience here in the crypto industry all news can be connected to Bitcoin's price movement whether it will go down or go up the news media will always find a way on how they will connect past actions to the current price movement. The problem here is its irresponsible journalism, they are just creating this kinds of news in order to have traffic from their site, the worst part is a lot of people actually believe in what they are saying. It seems like the only way to stop them now is for us to not view their shit.
2640  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Shop directly on Amazon.com with Bitcoin on: February 21, 2019, 05:07:29 PM
~snip~

We make money from financial partners that facilitate the fiat payments to the merchants. They pay us in commissions and fees for bringing them transaction volume. This allows us to not charge fees to our users.

But I'd also like to feel that this is a form of goodwill to increase Bitcoin adoption Smiley

So the bottomline is your users will be considered as your product in order to make profit? I like the idea on how you can make things free on our end but in terms of assurance how will you guarantee that your partner who is another entity will actually handle the fiat payments on their end? The way I see it is it is like you are the 3rd party for the transaction to Amazon which also has a middleman to actually complete the trade, which complicates a lot of things.
