1641  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Survey: At What Price would you stop investing more money into Bitcoin ??? on: December 02, 2019, 07:54:32 PM
At the prices you have given it actually becomes more attractive to buy Bitcoin as this is what I can say a perfect opportunity looks like for any trader/investor in the market. I think the only time for any investor who is smart enough to stop buying Bitcoin is when it has already pump or it's gradually going up since this is the worst time to participate in any profit taking if you don't have any margin of safety, when prices are going up it only means that traders are already set to sell/offload some of their positions for profit taking and you on the receiving end would just double the risk of not gaining anything.

That's also how i see it. Probably when the price breaches all time high and if it goes well beyond like 30k. I'd find it really risky to buy bitcoin at that point. With the amounts that's in the selection, i think people will just see a good time to stock up. There will be those who'll sell in panic but investors would likely hoard bitcoins even at sub 3k.

Plus there is really no point in buying it at it's all time high, all you are hoping for is that it will still go up where there is really nothing much backing it up but your hope. Never ever try to do a trade that goes "buy high and sell higher" as you are kissing your money good bye for no reason. At least if you have bought and accumulate it at the bottom you get the chance to ride and observe the prices when it pumps, your only problem that you will face is your own greed.
1642  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Manhattan U.S. Attorney Announces Arrest Of United States Citizen For Assisting on: December 02, 2019, 06:45:19 PM
The question really here is if Griffith really presented crypto as a way to avoid intentionally or not. If he just lectured them about crypto and they are the ones to find loopholes about avoiding sanctions then Griffith isn't guilty of anything, he simply just presented cryptocurrencies and that's it, they are like trying a gun seller because their guns are used in a criminal activity which is something silly to begin with. Even if he is unconsciously teaching them about ways to avoid sanction it still doesn't merit any kind of offense as the North Koreans might have tricked him into saying some.

1644  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-11-27] 2020 Banks in Germany to offer Crypto Sale and Storage on: December 02, 2019, 04:50:00 PM
Am I the only one not excited by this?  People should be responsible for their own wallets, because not having to rely on third parties is one of the primary benefits of Bitcoin.  A small silver lining is that it at least gives us the chance to have that conversation with anyone who decides to take up this service from the banks and point out why maintaining control over your own funds is better.

I won't trust banks in holding my cryptocurrency as well but the way I see it there is more benefit from it rather than the negative things surrounding it. The way I see it is that if we have banks supporting Bitcoin then it will not only be a good publicity but also beneficial for everyone including the businesses who are looking for a big support for them to accept crypto. With us having banks to lead the way I think this would be clearly the start of mass adoption.
1645  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What the Crypto Markets Are Saying About the Future of Bitcoin on: December 01, 2019, 09:22:05 PM
I think the main point of the article was this.

Quote
How far along BTC’s market cycle is, is yet to be determined, but if traditional economics prove true, BTC could be highly valued in the very near future.

and the author is trying to say that in the "near future" we might see Bitcoin to be one of the highly valued assets we have in the world which I agree because there is no way to go back up with our given scenario where not only governments are adopting Bitcoin but also businesses as well with the two supporting the growth and potential of Bitcoin you can see that mass adoption will take place regardless of the current standing price it has right now. The volatility we see now is something that any crypto is feeling since we are just controlled by mostly whales in the market.
1646  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is fortunecrypto.net scam? on: December 01, 2019, 08:20:33 PM
The "free money" they are trying to give you is what they called bait in order for you to send real money to them and that is where a lot of people are getting fooled because they only see the prize/reward and they are blinded because of it. Other scams similar to this are fake giveaways where in order for you to get the airdrop you must "verify" your address first by sending a minimum amount of crypto to them which is an obvious trap. It's very smart of you to sense the scam right away and I think in order for you to avoid this more is to just stop searching and searching for promos and giveaways since most of the things related to this could be scams.
1647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 30th South East Asian Games on: December 01, 2019, 07:32:57 PM
For those of you who still don't know why the Philippines is leading the gold medal tally it's because the host country has the ability to add sporting events where they think they would win that is why we have sports like Dancesports, Arnis, and E-sports in our sporting events where Dancesports and Arnis is where most of the Philippines' gold medal are in their first day. Just like what happened during the 2017 SEA games where Malaysia is the host and they won the most gold medals at 145 gold medals and in 2011 SEA games where Indonesia is the host and they earned the most medals with 182 gold medals. So the Philippines is also doing the same technique on why some host countries are leading in the medal tally.
1648  Economy / Economics / Re: From 2020, the sale and custody of Bitcoin will be allowed to all German banks on: December 01, 2019, 06:39:45 PM
The other thing that I could see if this banks will be the first one to do it and literally all German banks will be accepting and also buying and selling cryptocurrencies I think that the rest of the businesses will follow their lead. I could see that commercial businesses will also step forward in accepting Bitcoin as a payment since what the German banks did can be considered as a big leap towards the industry as well as some kind of green light that the government is also friendly towards the crypto market. This will be counted as a big change for this country and I could see the ripple effect that it will create towards its neighboring countries and soon several countries who would have seen the benefit because of it.
1649  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How do you come up with business ideas in crypto space? on: December 01, 2019, 05:38:43 PM
At this point you really cannot be innovative anymore in a sense that you can create a new business that isn't already existing so your only chance is to find already existing business that you can develop and give unique features or have better rates so you can get some market share of your own. Demand for the business is something you also want tobconsider may it be a crypto exchange or a e-commerce website since this will be your starting point to know if you have a chance to get some new customers.
1650  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Weekly Update: $7k Lost, Bulls Vanished. Will The Gold Fractal Play Out? on: November 30, 2019, 08:25:02 PM
You are using the dollar cost averaging method with your weekly buy yet you call yourself a "bottom caller" in your article which completely is the opposite point of using DCA, you are looking for shorts and bearish reversals and you have mentioned dca which made me believe that you really don't know what you are talking about and the main point of your article is just to promote your weekly subscription for 60$ which I personally don't think is even worth it for our money. You even fail to connect the "Gold fractal" you mentioned to any kind of movement BTC will have because of it, you literally just ended your article with your readers figuring it out on their own.
1651  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: buying mining hardware from Sesterce.com on: November 30, 2019, 07:24:25 PM
So you are basically interested buying some second hand mining rig from a website because of their price but the thing is a lot of members posted that this website is a scam and the problem with second hand miners being bought online is you will just double your risk of getting something that might not be working in the first place. If I were you I'll just buy second hand mining rigs on people near to me where at least I have the chance of trying out the rigs first if it is working, if you really do wanna buy something online go to sites like ebay and see trusted sellers where I can buy from them this will give you assurance that the item you will receive is working when you receive it or is not fake.
1652  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why FBI or Interpol is not shutting down startminer.com on: November 28, 2019, 08:12:27 PM
The only possibility that a website will be shutdown is when they already have receive enough complaints against it like what they have done to Bitconnect but mostly scams where even the victims are not coming in front of them you won't really see any kind of authority doing the first move since chances are they really don't know anything about the scam that happened with that website in the first place. So if you think that startminer has a lot of victims I think what you should do it to file a proper complaint to them together with your fellow victims to have these kinds of websites shutdown. Just like what stompix said this isn't hollywood and even the victims need to do something in order for them to recover their funds.
1653  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You need to seek for answers yourself on: November 28, 2019, 07:33:16 PM
That's just half the work you need to do before you even commit on investing some money in a ICO project. You should remember that aside from doing background research regarding if the team is legit or not you should also need to know if the project is really going forward with their plans and if they are really dedicated to the things they set for the project. This is where you will know if your money is really worth it for them or is it the right time to jump out due to the signs that it will turn out bad in the future.
1654  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-11-26] China Shuts Over 100 Crypto Exchanges on: November 28, 2019, 06:45:56 PM
I've visited their local board here in the forum to see if there are some noise about the issue and so far I don't see any topics related to exchanges being shut down (either big or small) so my guess are this news about China is either fake or if it's real we are only talking about small exchanges here that's not even the main exchange of the Chinese people. You can check out their local board for yourselves and quickly translate it to English by right-clicking and then click "translate to English" to see what their topics.

Or maybe everyone on that board is a Russian or Filipino using Google translate.

They're a bunch of unhelpful gits keeping us in the dark. I remember ONE Chinese person from there popping into other areas attempting to explain things in the past and that was it.

Buck up, Chinese folks.

And what made you think that Russians and Filipinos are the ones hanging out in that board and not real Chinese people are posting in their own board? I guess there is a possibility of that especially when we have fake translators running around in the forum but for them to participate a board where they don't even know the language I just don't see it happening. But maybe you are right and using their local board to see if what exchanges are affected isn't a good thing especially when the translated topics are mostly not about exchanges in the first place.
1655  Economy / Reputation / Re: What happen to ICOEthics? on: November 28, 2019, 05:58:24 PM
So ICOEthics was a team? And not just a single person? ....
my guess is someone had stopped supporting them that's why they haven't continued their work ever since, it's the only logical explanation I see that a team suddenly stops doing good in the forum.
It's clear from their reply here that they are a team but never said how many they were.
Also, they affirmed that there is no financial motivation behind what they do:
We always did FREE work and we will continue to do FREE work for the community.
They even had an address for donations but didn't receive a single Satoshi.
My guess is that they are working on something more interesting. It's their call after all.

They only confirmed that their services are free but it doesn't tell anything about them not being paid by a sponsor/employer in doing so. That is why I kept on wondering why all of them suddenly vanish without leaving any kind of reminder for us in the community that is why I have a strong feeling someone cut their funding that is why they aren't able to do their work anymore since no one is supporting them. If they are working on something I think it would be obvious from a group if they are leaving any kinds of update from us but since we don't have any updates my guess is they just really stopped on doing their work.
1656  Other / Meta / Re: Cancel reports? on: November 28, 2019, 04:49:02 PM
I think what will matter here is the times affected from the report. What I mean about that is if you reported it on his first post without edits and then the post have been edited I think the report should be invalidated for the reaaon that your original report is based on the first post and its not entirely about the new edited post now. Or are post reports just like deleted posts are reported as it is on the time it has been reported and the mods can see the original contemnt of the post?
1657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your take? on: November 27, 2019, 07:35:29 PM
Some factors behind the fluctuation that I knew are whale manipulation, demand from the crypto investors, positive or negative news and sometimes the intervention of government. Market fluctuation is natural in crypto space since it is not mature enough and with the current market condition, I think that most of us had a huge loss with our portfolio so there's no going back for me now but to hold for another few years until the market matured.

Yeah but the OP os asking for specifics on why Bitcoin and the crypto market in general is so volagtile this week and I think I know why. If you look at the chart last week you will see that a correction will really take place as the MACD is on a bearish crossover while the RSI even though it's not overbought is pointing downwards hinting that this week will see at least a correction happening, well ateast it's right and we are lucky that Bitcoin had quickly recovered from such price fall in just a matter of hours rather than months like what we have seen before.
1658  Economy / Reputation / Re: "ExtStock" Exchange listing token with Fake team & plagiarized whitepaper. on: November 27, 2019, 06:34:07 PM
The thing here is if they are even aware of the fake ICO being listed in their exchange? Are they aware that they are listing and helping scam projects being sold in their exchange? Or are they just unaware like normal exchange listing ICOs not doing background checks on what they list first in their exchange? Because basing it from my experience uncommon exchange like this would just list several tokens in their site just to make them look attractive for its users due to the fact that they have a wide variety of tokens to choose from.
1659  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Psychological Mistake of the Beginners Traders on: November 27, 2019, 04:51:51 PM
Well to sum this up losing in your trade without external factors won't happen if you just follow on your own and basically have your own trading plan which of course is being backed up by what you know in analyzing a chart. That's basically the newbies mistake right there they don't what to do so they just look up someone else's analysis for the crypto and follow it blindly without even doing a background research of their own.
1660  Economy / Reputation / Re: What happen to ICOEthics? on: November 27, 2019, 03:27:41 PM
So ICOEthics was a team? And not just a single person? If that is true then its really strange for them to all disappear all at the same time. Because if they are a team then someone can always be online as a replacement. Are they some kind if non-profit organization where someone cut their funding that's why they stopped investigating ICOs?my guess is someone had stopped supporting them that's why they haven't continued their work ever since, it's the only logical explanation I see that a team suddenly stops doing good in the forum.
