is this coin dead?
It's been brought back to live several times but it's nothing tangible keeping it alive. Just pump and dump schemes. This coin has a very large supply and was brought to fame mostly thanks to dogecoin, but never had a real market to support it.

Why do we have a newbie here defending GM? The last few pages of this thread seem to be dominated by his exchsne of words with other users. Shilling I would guess...
Sorry that you are disappointed about my statuts(level). I thought that it is way more important what we have to say instead of how long we are part of Bitcoin Forum. Following that way of thinking maybe new people should stop posting at all if you think they should not defend their opinions? Please add something important to the topic because it is about Genesis Mining not about user status(level). BTW maybe I am newbie on this forum but I am definately not when it comes to Genesis Mining. Moreover I have access to VIP assistance service. Do you think that everyone have it? I just try to make equal chances for everyone but it seems some of you are not happy about it which is your right of course... Kind regards, Marcin So long story short is that you actually admit to being a shill. Good that you're upfront about it actually but don't expect to be taken seriously so long as you're admitting to being a shill of the accused.

From nothing to a few hundred dollars worth of coins if you're lucky and patient. Only a handful of projects that have gone through a bounty phase have so far been met with success. Many show a lot of potential but could meet success further down the line. Airdrops are a whole other story. They are a new copycat scheme and would die out soon. You don't need to be patient with them, just sell of when you can.

Is it just me or does the spreadsheet need updating?

So many people are gaining interest in bitcoin lately. It's weird, from being that weird guy dealing with odd money in 2013 many of my friends have come to think I must be rich. What's more interesting is how many old people are asking questions about it. It's very eye opening how tables can turn.

There is not much point in building a portfolio for cliud mining. As there is no tangible lroof that mining is occurring then it is not to be considered an investment. Cloud mining is more like a ponzi scheme scam.

This is hard to track are there are over too many ICOs still running with some even accepting investments privately or off chain. I think that all estimation on how much goes into such projects could be seriously off by a large margin.

This is not necessarily bad. The uses of Bitcoin are subjective to each user and it obviously can be used as currency at least with limited options compared to other more popular alternatives.

I think that there is not much point in believing that you've done bad by missing out. This is actually called fear of missing out or FOMO. It's something that would lead you away from productivity if obsessed with. Be cautious with current opportunities as there still are many in the crypto economy. It's never too late to partake but always be cautious.

Bitcoin is quite a speculative asset if you consider it as such. It is now recommended for those with a low risk tolerances and that is to consider given that many investors are afraid of losing too much due to risk. With BTC, never trade what you can't afford to lose.

Might not happen or just partially. May not be in our or rather my lifetime too. A rational fastest deduction would be at least another 10 years or so. Society need to start getting use to using digital currency by banks first (which a lot of first world country is trying to move forward to) but I think the resistance is a lot more than we thought.
It is true that a possibility of this never happening is quite probable. FIAT currency is an integral part of many of today's society functions so it is not that likely that we will see such fundamental changes in our lifetime. Perhaps in smaller scale examples crypto will be the primary currency of preference but sub scale economies are always more flexible.

Interesting website, I'll be looking into it once I get the chance. I wasn't aware of it to be honest and what's odd is that it seems to be china based. Not often do we see Chinese services offering debit card products, I've actually not found one except this. There are at least two others, both operating out of Hong Kong - anxpro.com and wagecan.com I have no opinion on their level of service but I've seen people comment about slow response times, possibly exacerbated by distance from North America. Ah, I was under the impression that epay was Mainland Chinese? After looking through their website more extensively I found out that they seem to have different offices in their contact section (one in mainland and one in Hong Kong) but I can't figure out where they are based. It'd be interesting to know what the issuing bank for their cards is. I might go through getting one to find out if nobody here has personal experience with this.

Bitcoin's code was so thoroughly tested that a bug in open SSL was uncovered. This is a good example of how much goes into checking and pen testing bitcoin code. Look into it. Nobody has managed to break bitcoin so far. That is only applicable to the Core channel OFC.

Well, it's not necessary that people lost more in the first place. Each case is different for each person. Right now, I think bitcoin could potentially launch but what I'm kinda worried about is how much power exchanges are getting through how speculative markets are getting with crypto. Exchanges essentially supported the development of this currency bya allowing for capital flows on a currency that essentially does not exist yet.

You don't have to download a wallet if you are not interested in the inherit values of bitcoin like immutability and trustlessness. For ease of use, online e wallets would serve you sufficiently and most things about security are taken care for you by someone you will have to trust.

Waves I think does not have a strong long term potential against other platforms. In the short run, the attention the platform gets seems increasing, but once existing projects in more prestigious platforms get more attention Waves would end up dumped for better alternatives.

Good luck with this. I believe you are charging a very fair amount for someone that is starting out just now but through time you should be hoping to raise rates. 8$ 400 words is a little low for original content so once you acquire a portfolio look into it.

I don't know how much this EFF would be representative of precious metals markets. There has been discussion in the past about money flowing alongside metal and cryoto markets as both speculators in the two are upholding similar standards in terms of ideological beliefs. I don't think there's reason to attack gold and silver bugs for that matter.
