2681  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What happened to preev.com? on: July 11, 2022, 07:17:29 PM
I will not ask a question regarding preev as I already did on the other older thread. But look, i saw almost the same site(?), domain name too, although this much more like pro bitcoin sv so you can disregard.

Unfortunately the conversion of btc/usd sucks, not updated.

2682  Economy / Services / Re: Poker Courses For Sale on: July 09, 2022, 05:30:17 PM
Haha Agreed. Many user here especially high rank has this kind of thinking towards newbie without giving a fair evaluation first on what’s service he is offering. I deal many times on newbie here in the forum but on marketplace and some them is good to deal with when it comes to sales.
Like every experienced person need to have an account in this forum with a higher rank, reputation or something. That's what they sounds like.

It may sounds shady, but accusing someone just because a newbie is offering something is just an exaggeration. Most people here behave like that.
Escrow is a thing here why not offer it to him if you want to be coached or something.
2683  Economy / Reputation / Re: [FUN][In Merit] Post Count Down To Your Next Rank Here. on: July 09, 2022, 12:38:46 PM
Even I need merit to rank up, I see this topic is not necessary.

/...

This topic will become places for users to exploit merit from merit sources, to hit post quota for their signature campaign and make Meta like a trash board.
There are lots of thread made the same like this, i say the same intension. So, i say it's somewhat necessary but it's just that you dont need this as per i understand.

Also, yeah, this thread doesnt suit here meta, but exploiting merit from merit sources? I guess no, those sources are somewhat have their own standards which is probably higher than most of normal users here.

Signature campaign manager wont count the kind of post like application/countdown post like what OP wants to post. They at least have minimum number of characters to be counted.
2684  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sportbet.io lock my account. I cant play game or withdrawal on: July 09, 2022, 12:22:22 PM
But my advice will just be that people should avoid having multiple accounts on gambling sites, <...>

Is there any reason for anyone to create more than one account on an online casino platform, unless they are planning on doing something shady?
/...
Multiple accounts can only make things unnecessarily complicated.
Mostly, because of the deposit or new account deposit bonus which is labeled as abuse. So if there's no current deposit bonus on the casino, i see no reason to make multiple accounts.

Flagging the account say as multiple accounts like what OP experienced without any proof is non-acceptable on the user's side. Only if they will provide the reasons, proofs or whatsoever why the account is flagged so that the innocent user can contest.

Because what i see these casinos can make this to anyone, flagging and restricting someone's winning/funds just by saying "you breach our TOS by abusing the reward or deposit bonus or etc." Then shut the user's account, ask kyc, then lastly disabled the account or anything similar. Yeah, that's unfair, that's why give specific reasons why it was flagged, or else you're shady as fuck.

2685  Economy / Reputation / Re: [FUN][In Merit] Post Count Down To Your Next Rank Here. on: July 09, 2022, 11:12:21 AM
I wished to make this topic a self moderated one but I guess I've not attained the rank required yet, as I can't fine the self moderate button any where.
Fyi only, you can't make a self-moderated thread in meta board.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=152876.msg1623006#msg1623006

On the other hand, i guess you have to make specific number on this "little amount of Merit(s)" say only 50 merits left or so.
I use 50 since that's the maximum merit someone can give in one go for someone to rank up.
2686  Other / Meta / Re: modify button. on: July 09, 2022, 08:43:09 AM
It is trivial to correct the documentation (or the actual process). I see no reason why one of these cannot be corrected.
Oh, yeah, right, the documentation. Calling @theymos for the unfinished work. But anyway, I dont think he will do it urgently as its probably too far on its todo list. Good thing it's discovered though.
2687  Other / Meta / Re: How can i get merit point and how much merit can make me Sr, Hero, Legendary? on: July 09, 2022, 05:17:06 AM
Check this thread[1], you can see the required merit each rank.

Now, regarding the "earning merit points", well, you can't get any merit by just posting application post or whatever you call that in bounty threads based on your post history. I wonder why someone give you merit in the very first place.

Start making quality posts or threads already.

2688  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kucoin users, are your withdrawals okay? on: July 08, 2022, 11:52:27 PM
BTW, you might consider some of the instant exchanges like Changelly, ChangeNow, Flyp.me, and others.  They don't require KYC, but you're limited to trading bitcoin and altcoins with no fiat involved.
Aren't these exchanges have totally bad reputation on this forum. Also as far as i know changelly and changenow ask kyc i just dont know how much the minimum for them to ask kyc or when they detected suspicious activity which they usually did based on some threads here.
2689  Other / Meta / Re: modify button. on: July 08, 2022, 09:58:55 PM
but the user guide still says "Modify".
Perhaps it's because it still means the same thing?

Not everyone necessarily knows English well enough to know the meanings of both words, and someone may have to look up the meaning of "modify" when trying to change their post.

The documentation should match the actual procedure.
Might be a thing but its a common english words to modify is to edit and to edit is to modify. The same meaning.

Honestly, speaking clicking the link of help page->posting on the op is my first time visiting the page, like it doesnt exist to me at all.
Because i think people before coming to this forum used to know what forum is, and posting fundamentals same as the terms used either edit or modify, remove or delete and post or reply or comment that going to help page is not necessary since they know it already.
2690  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Spanish exchange 2gether shutdown over market crash on: July 08, 2022, 09:22:58 PM
Fucking exchange, I hear the name first time. This is why should avoid low Liquidity exchange always. As far as I know, a lot of exchange doesn't have many real users and they just show volume by Market Making (MM) service
It's a local exchange and open only for locals of spain (probably) is one of the reasons why its not known worldwide.

Although, i'm reluctant od what you said "exchanges doesnt have many real users" when you can't see any of their records/database of registered/kyc-ed users.

But, yeah, the asking of fees is just Bitstamp lately, asking fees like its a subscription based lmao.
Exchanges now are sure making their own way just to cope up this bear season but asking those kind of shits is insane.
2691  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kucoin users, are your withdrawals okay? on: July 08, 2022, 08:00:40 PM
Been using kucoin lately but they never give any notification via push or email related to this. Maybe because i only deposit as maximum of $100 once or twice a week.

Kucoin is my only hope for a reputed exchange that dont ask kyc if this going to happen i have no choice but to give my shit to them although any suggested non-kyc exchanges are welcome to me too.
2692  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Preev.com - DNS hosting service has expired. on: July 08, 2022, 07:35:18 PM
I see preev is a thing before but how come people still care to use it while there are lots of alternatives?

Honestly speaking i always just go to google then type "btc to usd" and then something pre made converter show in the search page and input things there.
2693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El-salvador bitcoin investment is underwater on: July 08, 2022, 07:23:06 PM
El-Savador has made its own choice which is pretty ok by them, the best idea is to set an investment first and wait for it future yieldings, there investment is on bitcoin and not on shitcoins, then i think they deserve i bow for this courage, no matter how down it may appears, it will still finds it way up the bullish trend soon.
Plus the total bitcoin investment of el salvador is just a mere x.xx% compare to its national net worth. If their authority is not worried of this dip (base on their recent updates) then that's it. People are really minding other people's business where in fact they dont share the same ideology at the first place.
2694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Small Investors and Whales Still Believe in Bitcoin, Big Purchases This Month on: July 08, 2022, 02:42:12 PM
"Still believe in bitcoin". Of course, they and all of us here should, if big companies and a country have the courage to invest bitcoin why not for smaller one if the whole point of investing is to get profit even in this current times Smaller ones just needs to learn that no need to hurry and avoid panicking when a sudden dump happens its part of the risk if so better to go traditional investments instead.
2695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why is bitcoin price important? on: July 08, 2022, 09:29:51 AM
i thought it was originally designed to just be a way to transfer digital cash in a decentralized manner.
Would you use bitcoin to transfer the so called "digital cash" in the very first place if it doesnt have any much price even at 1k. Even people are hesitant when it reaches to use bitcoin on that range.
In the other hand, people will use bitcoin everything what they want it, people doesnt see bitcoin now as a p2p way to transfer funds.
2696  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BITSTAMP exchange biased rule that chased users away on: July 07, 2022, 11:59:28 PM
Haha. That's insane. How come an inactive user should be charge, if this a damn thing then there should be an option to delete the account.
Since they are giving an option people to avoid them when they come back from being inactive then there should an option for that.

But the question is...who does leave their funds on an exchange that would lead to inactivity?
You dont know? People like to leave funds on exchange now a days, disregarding the fact it can vanish when hack happens. Yeah, people should, but most of us are lazy to that.
2697  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino Game on: July 07, 2022, 11:41:56 PM
If this is a source of income, then I will not take a break, you know why? because gambling could give you an unlimited income, and that would help me achieve my goal to retire early.
Or not. You or people may categorized it as a source of income but it wont give you a very stable income like what jobs usually do. And will end up rekt instead of earning lol.

I can't fully agree with your these words. Because I think gamble shouldn't take as the source of income or job of a man. Because it doesn't give you any assurance.  You can become rich in an instant or become a beggar of the street  in an instant.  And I think living a healthy normal life income source should be assurance and not just depend on luck.  Yes I gamble too but I play it for my entertainment not as my source of income
You don't really need to think about it, because gambling is obviously not meant to become an alternative for jobs or works.
2698  Economy / Gambling / Re: The History Of Gambling. on: July 07, 2022, 03:09:52 PM
Quote
3000 BC – A pair of dice was recovered from an Egyptian tomb dating back 5000 years.
Can you provide the exact source link about this topic except for the current source which is Owldao.
Here's some specific article[1] that talks about dice's history too including this one mentioned by OP.

What i wanna learn is that How gambling become so addicting and what is behind this that the history when and where this started  Grin
I guess it is already in human nature, where human is greedy as f*ck since then. Greed to make money, well, everyone wants to be rich, since money is power even on those ancient times.

but what is the very Historic are the Gladiator days when people needs to die for others to earn and win from their bets and famousness .
People will do everything just to earn especially plebs in ancient times, even life is at stake. The same thing on this current times, like boxing or UFC, where most unfortunates always do in boxing just to earn money. Same thing people bets who will win from those who fight to death.

2699  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will BTC survive if encryption/cryptography becomes illegal? on: July 06, 2022, 11:23:33 PM
Asking rhetorical questions things like this will makes you looks like stupid. CRYPTOgraphy is the foundation of CRYPTOcurrency.

Gerontocracy problems ~ such proposals in any the government branch makes them look stupid. This why we need young ones in the government.

Encryption and cryptography is global, banning this will only result to chaos. If its done. Banks and internet will fall before they can solve their problems about cryptocurrencies.
2700  Economy / Gambling / Re: Alternatives to 1xbit on: July 06, 2022, 11:09:48 PM
Thank you wiwo for the prompt intervention here. It is obviously a wrong statement to say people should all new gambling sites. This is because not all new gambling companies scam. If all gamblers avoid new gambling sites, how will they grow? It will mean that the old gambling companies will keep existing and then monopolise the gambling industry.

Just that anyone dealing with new gambling companies without reputation should be very careful till the company becomes trusted.
Monopoly in gambling is not a thing on this era though, very strong competition exists in this industry where gamblers can choose sites they like which is too many to mentions based on the games they like.

Due to strong competition most new gambling websites with effective marketing and stuff pose a threat to get rid the old sites which these old and existing gambling sites should keep on eye and make improvements and stuff to keep their business up.
