I thought I would lower the tone on this surprisingly intelligent conversation everyone is having over the last couple of pages. Grr..Grr.

How I have come to love this graph over the last weeks.

But I wonder, does the counterpart of this pic even exist? The red monster eating the green curves?
Never seen it... it's like nobody likes the red monster.

In the meantime why not go to mintpal and vote for Devcoin to be added.

https://www.mintpal.com/voting

Place 23, we need 2x the votes we have now.... will take some time.  Sad

Mazacoin never had a "hype time".

Seriously?
Go back and read over all the threads surrounding the coin launch, and all the lies and hype that was being spread.

lol, but that was just the birth of the coin. Every coins birth is a spectacle.
What you call "hype" was nothing else then "joy of fatherhood", the father being happy about the newborn child.

It was outright lies and pumping.

I don't care about pumping. Every creator pumps the thing he wants to sell. Pumping is not per se bad.

But lies? Probably exagerations, promising things too early, etc...

Therefore, ... just let the child grow up, for crying out loud,.... you are judging a toddler for not being able to walk yet?

the previous zetacoin explorer that I had bookmarked doesn't seem to work anymore.

What is the best explorer out there?

I use this one
http://darkgamex.ch:2751/chain/ZetaCoin
or
http://bit.usr.sh:2750/chain/Zetacoin

And you have these ones also
https://coinplorer.com/ZET

http://bitinfocharts.com/zetacoin/explorer/

Thanks for the first link, it works.

The second link is the same that I have that doesn't work anymore.

Will also take a lot at the coinplorer

Still 38 satoshi to go down Wink.

Care to give an example of a coin that had it's hype time (like here 14500/coin) , went to 10-20 satoshi and then went back to it's previous level?

Most altcoins are not even half a year old.  Too early to make any judgments about behaviour etc.
It's not like fiat currencies that have been around for decades. Then you can talk about "history".
How are you supposed to make a historical judgment based on a few weeks or months of lifetime???

I don't know. All I am sure is that if the community grows and people find value in a coin, then it will grow.

Mazacoin never had a "hype time". It was simply introduced into the market and has since then undergone a price discovery.

Price discovery still hasn't finished, and it probably never will, that's the nature of price discovery.

As long as nearly no one starts using mazacoin for economic purposes we will never know.
Therefor: Ofcourse Mazacoin keeps on falling.

But I believe the region around 30 satoshis puts mazacoin in the category with hundred other altcoins who have much less character or validity then mazacoin.

Mazacoin even has a wikipedia article (most altcoin wiki articles get deleted because not exceptional), was on max keiser, etc... it is special and it will grow if people start putting the money where their mouth is.

I plan on accepting mazacoin for an online game that I am working on.

Wake the fuck up, I spent 0.15 on this thing bck in the day, fuck it.

Fuck it? Wake up?

We already have touched the ground, there is really not much deeper to fall than where we are now. So we can only grow.

That's like threatening someone who already is in hell, the he must behave or else he will go to hell. We are already there, dude.

Doesn't make sense.... sometime someone has to reach a deep point and realize that there is a mess and start fixing things, making things better.

 Smiley

And then real organic growth can happen. Be truthful...

Nobody told you you had to buy Mazacoin for high price... you should have known about buyers beware... Nobody owes you anything, least a profit.

Hey owlhooter, btw can you create a top 10 wallet list?
I was just wondering...  Cool

Show me yours and I will show you mine. Wallet that is.  Wink

lol, no, I mean anonymous, if possible.

I didn't mean wallets or dick contest... I meant addresses. Top 10 most valuable addresses.
Just to get a guess of the distribution.

Its weird cause the other menu's are still being served from the CDN unless it had to go to the server to fetch.. then it should have hit varnish cache... but once you been to the menu once it will cache it on your browser so it will be quick to click on the same menu again.

If your logged in there is no caching since cookies are stored for authentication.

I run a ubuntu server too, but not yet with SSD.

Would you say that it's worth it to change to SSD?

Internetspeed is so much dependend on other things too... not just the harddisk type...

$25 amazon gift card for 5 cents?

http://devcoinauctions.com/blog/auction/25-amazon-com-gift-card-digital-delivery/

Time is running out.. there is no reserve on the gift cards!

Can someone tell me if the site is running fast for them? It's loading under 0.5 seconds here... I did alot of optimizations nginx web server varnish cache, object cache, database cache, opcode cache, minify js/css/html, gzip content, browser cache, page cache,  Content delivery and security through Cloudflare CDN....using an SSD ubuntu 14.04 server now.... damn Im getting good at this lol

Fast enough, about 1 second. Or more like 1-2 seconds if I click on another menu.

If u want development dump dev shitcoin and buy stake in Nem.

Bitcoin, Namecoin and Devcoin, they are united and will either succeed together or die together.

united until death.  Cool
2714  Other / Politics & Society / Re: IRS claims it has LOST two years' worth of emails from former official Lerner on: June 14, 2014, 10:15:52 PM
Well, I have an associate's degree in IT and I can tell you this is total BS. They should have had backups and, even if they didn't, any competent IT professional should have been able to extract the data from the defunct hard drives involved.

I had 3 crashed harddrives in the last 10 years. (of about 100 harddisks in total)
And I always managed to save atleast 90% of the data. There were some bad sectors, yes ... but a harddisk that can't be rescued anymore is a harddisk that was deliberately destroyed.
Also, all the harddisks showed signs before they started crashing completely, so I was able to react.

Also: my 3 crashed harddisk were all like 5-10 years ago. In the last 5 years (from 2009 to 2014) not a single one of my harddisk has malfunctioned.
I believe the manufacturers have now created such stable harddisks, they don't compare to the harddisks 10 years ago. So it's very curious that a government agency has malfunctioning harddisk, lol ...  Grin

ALSO: Has the government never heard of multi harddisk RAID systems that keep on working even if some of the harddisks are crashing?

But hey, what do you expect from a extortion racket machine like the IRS.

Taxation is theft!

So they steal all the money from us, and can't even buy reliable computer equipment with it.
Fuck you, you bureaucratic mafia.

From my talks with Payu it appears someone got into the Reserve wallet and transferred 10 mil out of it a few months back, he is unsure who did it.  He has also paid some out in grants and the amount in that wallet is around 9.4 Mil at this time.

That's the problem with mazacoin... people read things like that and can't get you serious anymore.

But one thing at a time. I think there are very pressing matters that should be fixed immediately.

How many blockexplorers have come and gone??? So many dead links everywhere pointing to has-been blockexplorers. Even the pool I am mining with has dead blockexplorer links.

I am thinking about installing a blockexplorer (that let's you explore addresses) myself if the situation doesn't change...

People like payu harris have to create youtube videos and interviews on a regular basis... atleast once a week. Show that you give mazacoins to people, show how you talk to regular people about the coin, etc...

Fork the coin.

Not so important: improve website-design. This is completely irrelevant if all the other posts are not first addressed and solved.

2716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: June 14, 2014, 07:15:43 PM

You can do that, unless you want to mine more profitable coins automatically...

Well that's the thing.... I would rather NOT mine all the "more profitable" coins automatically.

Most of the time I don't agree that they are "more profitable".

For example: Just because coinwarz deems that Mazacoin is more profitable for 5 minutes, I would rather keep on mining BTC.

So as a request, would it be possible in the future to have some coins disabled in my multipool account?

So I can say in the settings: Yes, please mine Zetacoin and Myriad, but all other coins I don't want to participate and would rather continue with my first priority coin.

Or is this already possible, and I just haven't yet found the feature... hm, nope, I don't think so...

U guys are really funny. I love u guys. Thats real humor! A rare seen quality these days.

Thanks... same back to you with your nemcoin movement.

Nice way to promote your coin by using letters like ΠΞΜ, people can't even google it this way, einstein.

Truly great humor indeed.

Devcoin has had more action in 2014 outside its price than all years before. It's far from death and has captured the brightest among us.

Lol!

The depth of your arguments intrigues me... please tell me more!  Shocked
2720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MZC][SHA-256] MAZACOIN *First Sovereign Currency* ANDROID WALLET AVAIL.!! on: June 14, 2014, 01:17:51 PM
two things are important for a coin to succeed.

Miners and merchants.

The one can't exist without the other.

Without miners there can be no secure payment network, so no merchants would like to use the coin.

Without merchants there is no longtime incentive for miners to mine this coin.

...

I think the main reason for the price dump we are seeing is that the few miners (from mainly multipools) are dumping MZC immediately and often they are not even making a net profit by doing that, so they lose interest...

This has to stabilize.

I, as a fulltime mazacoin miner pledge to not sell any mazacoin I mine below the price of 100 satoshi.

I will continue upping this number the more stable mazacoin gets in the future.
