$25 amazon gift card for 5 cents? http://devcoinauctions.com/blog/auction/25-amazon-com-gift-card-digital-delivery/Time is running out.. there is no reserve on the gift cards! Can someone tell me if the site is running fast for them? It's loading under 0.5 seconds here... I did alot of optimizations nginx web server varnish cache, object cache, database cache, opcode cache, minify js/css/html, gzip content, browser cache, page cache, Content delivery and security through Cloudflare CDN....using an SSD ubuntu 14.04 server now.... damn Im getting good at this lol Should support up to 10k users at once now... I also stop updating the client if he/she has been inactive for 20 minutes I throw up a "are you still there?" message box. This will reduce load on the server once user's increase.

Bitcoin, Namecoin and Devcoin, they are united and will either succeed together or die together. united until death.

Devcoin has had more action in 2014 outside its price than all years before. It's far from death and has captured the brightest among us.
Lol!The depth of your arguments intrigues me... please tell me more! Good comeback ... made me chuckle. :-)

Its weird cause the other menu's are still being served from the CDN unless it had to go to the server to fetch.. then it should have hit varnish cache... but once you been to the menu once it will cache it on your browser so it will be quick to click on the same menu again. If your logged in there is no caching since cookies are stored for authentication.

I run a ubuntu server too, but not yet with SSD. Would you say that it's worth it to change to SSD? Internetspeed is so much dependend on other things too... not just the harddisk type...

Sure thats why I used all of those other cache's and optimizations I told you... but SSD helps.. Varnish is storing its cache on a 1gb cache file while object cache and page cache is done using memcacheD.... so varnish allows for a bigger cache but uses SSD to do its thing.. but seems as though its not much slower than using memory... In the end SSD prices compete with VPS im paying $5 per month better than my blue host price which was slow... DNS was taking 2 seconds to resolve.. screw that. Cloudflare DNS is the best.

I am sorry that devcoin is gone too. i didnt have anything against it, u see?
The condemned live longer. There's life in the old dog yet. Just wait. I would be positively surprised if it makes a come back. good luck! peace You're entitled to that opinion (because that's what it is), but why on earth would you care about it so much that you would bad-mouth it without context? What do you get out of it not doing well? How does it affect you?

Can some one please verify that the link for the windows wallet at devcoin.org is working or not working? I have tested on 2 pc's and going to '21st century money talk' with no wallet download. I have not checked other wallet links as I'm travelling right now, but it appears that the windows wallet link is not going to the download.

Yes the ones hosted at 21stcenturymoneytalk. It also hosts some primecoin and other links, so assumed it was either owned by fuzzybear or twobits (could be wrong) but haven't heard back from a msg yet.
And don't bother feeding trolls - it's a waste of time and he's doing that on just about every thread.

In the meantime why not go to mintpal and vote for Devcoin to be added. https://www.mintpal.com/votingPlace 23, we need 2x the votes we have now.... will take some time.

Yeah, we're competing with bots so bit of a challenge. could be, could be. I just voted again. In the meantime why not buy a little DVC... if only the pool I mine BTC would be a little bit luckier, I would buy a million DVC every day..... but the pool hasn't found a block in 24 hours: https://bitminter.com/blocksWhat's up with a lot of pools lately? They talk about "blockwithholding" attacks that cause a lot of problems?

Me too. Hunterbunter runs blisterpool.com. Yeah people seem to have worked out that greed trumps sensibilities, so if it's cheaper for A to mine than for B it tends towards centralisation and implied trust - unless they do something about it. Genius.

Is it still true that we have about 7.2 million new devcoin being created every day? This will never change since devcoin doesn't have blockhalving etc, right?
So to keep the price at 10 satoshi we need a buying power of 0.72 BTC every day to compensate for the selling pressure.
This also means that to keep the price at 100 satoshi we would need 7.2 BTC, etc...
