BOOM!

Is the December figure an estimate or only for the first five days?

What a poor scam.  No onchain safety - sold with a nice Bitcoin label....

Global bootstrapping will only happen to an absolute minimal and stable protocol

Hobby / trolling is over Wink

An infinitely large blockchain is not the same thing as "minimal" or "stable." What it will do is insure centralization by making it impossible for anybody to run a node who has less than a 10 terabyte hard drive.

But the SV blockchain will never come close to being the size of BTC, just as BCH failed to do, because nobody will ever use it.

ppl have failed - I can say that much.

If Bitcoin has inherent value, so it is the value of PoW - pure and distinct  -> onChain. Not other ppl's stuff - injected into the protocol.

If we learn from the past - the value can be distilled - made stable  and  things can be build on top.

Stability over years - only came from onChain usage. > SV is that one.

2705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin SV? on: December 03, 2018, 08:51:24 AM
Bitcoin SV is the way of conserving the initial& pure bitcoin protocol - and its origiinal economics & safety - it also does 'refectoring' and functional decomposition to all the so called 'improved' / 'add ons' - features invented by Bcore or BAB devs.

Pure Bitcoin  - nothing else.

SV is absolutely scam.

The open internet will die when cleaning up protocols to stay on a clear purpose ( like the Satoshi Whitepaper & electronic cash) is called a scam.

did bchsv implement lightning network?

Bitcoin can scale without any SW LN CTOR, other crap. And it must do this NOW to attract the entire world incl business/ industry. That's the Satoshi Vision and needs to be supported.

Nobody cares about your fork of a fork. How do you plan on getting any community or business support when it doesn't even has its own wallet?! It's a joke. Go pump it over in its own thread. This is no longer your thread.

SV forked back to be clear Bitcoin. So old wallets could be made 'reused' soonish.

It is Bitcoin.

Oh, as I said.BAB BCH is not the cash I invested in,  I s getting a shitcoin workbench https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/a0n8x1/native_bch_tokens_are_coming_thanks_to_op/

DSV makes miners become illegal if im not mistaken.

You're mistaken.

Illegal to who, and how? There isn't one World Government that has a section of legal statutes dedicated to crypto.

Mind filling in a few details to support your endless, mindless pumpery?

I don't even like BCH but you're making me a fan of it right quick.
If global adoption is to be achieved, bitcoin must be legal everywhere

and cheap e cash at first place withno 'hooks' inside that could create issues - many think that way

So if you have BTC this means that you have BCH SV or was that just a fork of BCH on

yeah, not paying attention ..only BCH I have 'supposedly' I have not touched from the BTC Hoard wallet from when it landed...

brad

If you haven't split your coins from the original BCH fork from BTC, you now have coins in both the ABC and SV fork. Since neither side has implemented replay protection, it may be a challenge to split the coins. Since you are a miner, you can probably mine coinbase coins from both sides and then use these as 'tainted" coins to do the split. The process looks really complicated now, especially since you haven't done the original split. In any event, if you want to claim coins at any point, you are probably going to have to import your private keys/seed phrase for your BTC to Electron Cash.(That would probably be the easiest software, AFAIK) I would move your BTC to a new private key/seed as a first step.

As big a mess as all this is on Jan 1st, 2020 we could find out that Craig Wright really is the last man standing from the Satoshi group...and has access to what

he says is the so-called BTC trust at that point...god knows things are weird enough anyway on all this

so I'll probably just leave it all alone all the forked coins on my 2015 HODL wallet

(by the by I dumped 13 BTC like a small panic'd girl to pay for health insurance for 2019 and with my LTC dump have $$$ to stay retired till 2020 when I'm

65 years and could take soc sec 1 yr early and then could get Medicaid (no more 12k a year payments for health insurance)

so yeah, don't want to work for anyone for the next year so PUNTED..and 13 number of BTC being evil and all seems appropriate) Sad

hopefully, I'm wrong and this BCH war will pan out and BTC will recover..but not counting on it to keep retired this last year don't ya know Smiley

thanks for the update

brad

I am not jealous of your predicament.  Myself, I considered the changes and the way they have been forced and I was able to make up my mind very easily.  I refuse to be a party to fraud and further I know that the function many think this dsv will deliver is more durable if implemented in better ways more in line with the needs of the merchants who we hope would use this coin.  ABC and BTC have no future as they have refused all recommendations by their peers, miners and experts.  The only thing they have as a technical argument is Always Bad Craigman.

I cannot say better.

ABC somehow tries to close the gap between ETH and XRP - checkpoints and 'trustless' smart scripts but we know how that will end already.

I wonder why so many are getting derailed and go off optimizing = refactoring the main function of Bitcoin = onChain P2P cash .   So much greed ?

2713  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: Der Aktuelle Kursverlauf on: November 25, 2018, 12:12:21 PM

Neues Geld = Kurs geht hoch?!

This clash costs again millions of innocent user's money only because some devs ( or only one s-lord?) want to add stuff to the protocol - not being specked up in  the  Satoshi Nakamoto white paper   -  such 'illegal' experimental crap code!

Nothing learned from the Segshit injection...

It is not worth doing that - for sure

The nature of Bitcoin is such that once version 0.1 was released, the core design was set in stone for the rest of its lifetime...

So 'splain me The SegWit Omnibus Changeset then?

The funny part is that Bitcoin Cash in the form of SV is the closest thing to a Bitcoin Protocol 0.1 that we've had in almost a decade.

Yes, and maybe the only legal soon since it is 100% following the WP and the financial terms and conditions of its purpose.

All other add-on-coins might badly run into regulatory issues.

Inform first, before entering financial markets  - strongest controlled field on the planet.

It is Wright who said he wouldn't accept other chain to survive and will commit every resource to kill it even for months/years. He has already lost the hashwar, now let's see if he go on guerrilla war and commit his threats of attacking the ABC chain... Something which could have clear legal implications btw.

Is there any estimated time for the hashwar to end, or could it continue for months or for as long as both camps want to keep up with the war ?
I supposed it was meant to be like a race, where maybe the first mine a certain amounts of blocks wins ? Am I wrong ?

War is war. It is not over until both sides stop warring.

True. Shout out to be the winner too early might be a weakness.

I read somewhere that the original satoshi opcodes will be enabled during the upgrade,

Yes.

Quote
and using those opcodes CSW will be claiming the satoshi bitcoins.

No. If CSW claims the satoshi bitcoins, it would be only because he has owned them since years. The re-enabled original opcodes make no difference to any ability to do so.

Quote
I dont think this is a bluff, just look at cash.coin.dance

As observed above, CSW has always been able to pull enough hash out of his back pocket to advance his goals. Don't know how he is able to do so, but it is certainly provocative. Agree - this does not seem to be a bluff.

Quote
They have the least amount of nodes but the most hash rate.

Well, we already know that counting on nodes to drive nakamoto consensus is akin to bringing a knife to a gun fight. At last we shall see this principle demonstrated.

Quote
All the reading and research I've done is telling me this is not a bluff. I truly believe we will see the end of all alts in the near future, and the flippening of BTC to BCH after.

Isn't it exciting?

Yep, it is. Maybe 'his' best trick was to attract all the trolls to him and let many others silently Provenly Work a lot for the clean protocol version, that would not allow non cash functions inside, just cash.

Mining for a loss for that dimension shows really the long term investment and goal worth fighting for.
Press and adoption incoming.

Huge blocks needed.
