2721  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Quadriga CEO death, Is it new scam in crypto on: May 06, 2019, 03:29:50 PM
You guys are missing few key points here.
1.Canadian citizen was in visit to India.
2.Dead body was never been back to Canada.
3.Instead they acquired death certificate from one of the state in India.
4. It is not impossible in India to get your death certificate even when you are alive.
5. He did not planned any "backup continuity plan" for the company but he planned everything for his family just couple of months before his alleged death.
He might have faked his death and took a fake death certificate from India, but how about staying in India as he is not a citizen and he needs to get a permit to stay in India and since this has become a big enough case and attained some publicity, i am not sure how he will be able to hide that fact and stay in another country.
Yes there are some activities before his death that will raise suspicion and the company has forwarded coins in the cold wallet even after his death which creates another puzzle.
2722  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Can I SUE A Crypto Ponzi PROMOTER? on: May 06, 2019, 02:39:47 PM
But he still solicited me into the investment in which he got a % of my profits that the bot generated me!
Isn't that counting for something!?
You can sue him for misleading you into a ponzi scheme and end up in a loss and i am not sure what proof you have to convince that they influenced you into something fraudulent for his benefit and if you can prove that you have a solid case in hand against him but you can very well sue owners of the said service for misleading you.
2723  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: BTC worth $1M confiscated in Canada ruling on: May 06, 2019, 08:45:52 AM
It sounds like they have some sort of tracking software which I think is great for companies and individuals. We wouldn't want another Quadriga case to break out again. I worry if it did it will leave a lot of people bitter about crypto and we lose out on mass adoption
If you are doing illegal activity with bitcoin you will get caught and that is what happened here, bitcoin is not meant to be anonymous and you can track every transactions and you really do not need some sort of tracking software to track those, a simple chain analysis reveals everything.

i have seen loads of cases where bitcoin transactions are been used not just in the Dark Web. The truth be told, most people do worst things with even with fiat currencies, why should they consider bitcoin transaction as the reason for a law suite and then getting to confiscate that huge amount of usd equivalent in bitcoin, it doesn't just add up.
If he was using fiat currencies for those purchases he wont end up in this situation, it has nothing against bitcoin and this case will highlight how transparent bitcoin transaction are and no one can use it for illegal activities.
2724  Economy / Speculation / Re: People who bought BITCOIN at $1000 are now starting to sell, CCN article writes on: May 06, 2019, 07:05:52 AM
I am sure they are still holding bitcoin right now because they have passed the highest peak period at the beginning of last year and it is impossible to sell it when prices go down, except selling it for reasons of needing finance in an emergency
Why do you think so? 2 years ago, Bitcoin costs $ 1,000 today $ 4,000. Show me at least 1 bank that will provide such a huge profit?I think it is not necessary for this reason to panic.Times on 4,000$ someone sold bitcoin the respectively his someone bought at this price.
You cannot find any financial institutions that will give that much profit in a short period of time, it is an old article and there is nothing wrong in selling when the price is going down and invest once again when the price touches the bottom and that is how you make profit even if you are holding it for the long time, be smart when it comes to trade and switch positions according to the market situations.

2726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum a threat to bitcoin on: May 17, 2018, 07:25:28 PM
I like Ethereum, don't get me wrong, but it's decentralized nature really slows down the decision making process and at the minute, it shows.
I am not sure what you are trying to tell here, how does decentralized nature slows down the decision making process, if you look at ETH all the hardfork they ever did were without any consensus and to be frank i never liked their centralized nature about the network upgrade without any real discussion about the changes. For the people who thinks that ETH is a threat to bitcoin, they are just delusional.
2727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think ethereum is the best blockchain protocol? on: May 17, 2018, 07:14:10 PM
yes, I think etherium is the best blockchain protocol, because etherium is a digital currency that is widely used by cryptos in exchange of tokens / coins to their country's currency, and also etherium is often a partner of new tokens based on ERC20 and others .
etherium has a very strong foundation and reliable blockchain protocol.
There are many bugs in ETH whether you like it or not that is the fact, we have seen many hacks in the past because of that and so is the reason we have ETC now. Another thing is that it is not even a currency, it is used to distribute tokens for projects and that is the only use for ETH.
2728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IPL( Indian Premier League) Prediction Thread, 2018. on: May 17, 2018, 06:37:03 PM
My choice was RCB too until the toss . SRH won the toss and have decided to bowl first so I am not that sure now because if Dhawan or williamson sticks on in second innings they can take SRH to victory . I wouldn't bet on anything right now.
It was a good match for RCB with AB de Villiers and Moeen Ali scoring most of the runs and taking the team to a good total. I am not sure why they continue with Basil Thampi as he was leaking runs and SRH does not have the batting line up to chase a big score like this.
2729  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Creators of Dicing 🎲 | 22 Billion Bets | 112+ BTC Jackpot! on: May 17, 2018, 03:05:12 PM
PD's first alt coin! We have a few other coins in testing.
It is good to see that litecoin is added to primedice, i would like you to add dogecoin too as a fun coin for people like me to have fun rather than risking some amount of money, since i am not looking to make money with it and so we should have dogecoin and remove the faucet. Wink .
2730  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reputation of Bitcoin in the Philippines. on: May 17, 2018, 01:05:35 AM
I think that it will have a big negative impact in the reputation of bitcoin in Philippines. Since it aired on the national television and almost all Filipinos can see it, some of the future investors will be frightened to invest in bitcoin. And that will decrease the potential bitcoin users worldwide.
There are much bigger scams and ponzi schemes run by fiat currencies and did it affect the flow of money.  Tongue People who are likely to use bitcoin or any form of cryptocurrency will use it if they find it useful as a mode of transaction or a store of value, scammers like try to take advantage of anything and it has nothing to do to destroy its reputation.
2731  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How long Bitcoin can survive in cryptocurency industry ? on: May 17, 2018, 12:41:20 AM
Bitcoin will sooner or later be defeated. But I don't see a problem. I think that a more perfect cryptocurrency will come to replace him.
If you really think that a platform where developers are trying their best to continue the monster it is already is and you think that they are just playing around and wait for some other team to come up with another technology that would change everything. Roll Eyes There is nothing perfect here, the scaling issues will be sorted out in a short time and we will scale exponentially.
2732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT IF the GOVERNMENT wins over BITCOIN? on: May 17, 2018, 12:10:58 AM
now the technology can not be defeated in any way, progress will not be stop, crypto anarchists will not allow the state to control bitocoin Cool
The anarchist can do anything and if a state decide that they wanted to curb the flow of money into bitcoin, it is possible, the real vision of bitcoin is to allow each and every citizen of this globe to be able to trade and that is how we become completely decentralized.
2733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will silence its haters... on: May 16, 2018, 04:15:06 PM
we know that many people do not like the presence of Bitcoin,
Are you sure in the future people who hate Bitcoin will be silent and regret because of Bitcoin triumphs...
The only sector of people who will hate bitcoin is the people who have their business getting affected by bitcoin and no mater how they hate, it will eventually over throw their business model, they need to come up with competitive models if they want to compete with bitcoin, what ever they do bitcoin will thrive.
2734  Economy / Economics / Re: Any ideas of what we lack in crypto world? on: May 15, 2018, 10:00:18 PM
i think the infrastructure are lack in the crypto because there are many under development country that can't provide the need of the bitcoin to full support it
It is a fairly new system and it will take a longer period of time to have a better front end user friendly products so that everyone will be able to use it, hopefully we would see innovative products coming out in the future that would make bitcoin use simpler, that can be understood by everyone, since the entire market does not have any boundaries anyone could make use of these developments.
2735  Economy / Speculation / Re: Not a good time to buy, according to this source on: May 15, 2018, 09:34:21 PM
This is the best time to buy bitcoin, because the bitcoin value for now is not too high and still within reach. Bitcoin in the future will be better than it is now, and it will be a good profit.
The truth remains that $8k is not a small amount for the common man to invest, the days of bit investment from small time traders are over, they have to either look for a good altcoin or a good project token to make the profit, if you invest $8k now the maximum profit is to double that in the short term and make it five fold in the long run, so before investing make sure you check for other promising projects too.
2736  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin has dropped so invest more on: May 15, 2018, 09:15:04 PM
In future the price of bitcoin will be increase more than now. At that time we can sell and earn more profits.
The amount of profit you can earn with bitcoin depends upon the amount of money you have to invest in it, if you are planning to invest around $5k i would rather look for a promising new project and diversify among those good projects and wait till they complete their work and would then convert them to bitcoin for the best profits.
2737  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think the whales are manipulating the markets on: May 15, 2018, 08:11:43 PM
It's not possible for the whale to controlling or manipulating the market, and i guess that they know what their doing in the market, they know how to manipulate us and also controlling the market to give more excitement and other flavor to people get amaze and not stagnant in traditional way and i guess that they have a lot of surprises this year 2018 and I'm hoping for it. however we still to hold onto it and do our part being an investors.
It is really possible if a whale is planning to sell of tens of thousands of bitcoin and it will reflect in the market and that is what we have seen in the market, Mt Gox have moved a lot of coins from their cold wallet and they might have sold their coins, the price would rebound like we have seen in the past.
2738  Economy / Economics / Re: As Altcoin Popularity Grows So Does Crime; Is Regulation Keeping Up? on: May 15, 2018, 07:37:14 PM
The crime rate is actually increasing and many scammers are seeing cryptocurrencies as a safe heaven for they criminal activity.  I think regulatory authority in various country needs to come into this market especially the icos market and put they eye on most of this scam projects and keep the market clean for the right investors.
The scammers are targeting the ICO market and it will change in the future with strict regulation and i expect that to happen in the next few years, Monero is used primarily used in the darkweb, i would like to see the positive things rather than the negative things in the market.
2739  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: which coin safe for trading? on: May 14, 2018, 10:46:50 PM
I consider coins that have much volume on exchange as good and safe for trading. I think Ether, bitcoin and ripple are good coins to trade with.
To consider a coin to be safe the most important thing is the initial price you invest and that is the most important thing, always make sure that you invest when the market is down be it any top coin in the market, then you can say that it is a safe coin to trade, many people who are new in the market made a mistake by investing when the price was at an all time high and when the market crashed they were stuck.
2740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tom Lee predicts the rise of bitcoin on: May 11, 2018, 12:27:14 AM
A well-known cryptanalyst believes that the first cryptocurrency will rise in price after the start of the annual Consensus conference, which will be held in new York next week.
share article
I am not sure whether the price will rise simply because there is a consensus conference, but if they could convince big investors then it might change, it all depends upon how their plan and outcome would be moving forward and a gathering alone wont have a big impact now, lets see how things go forward from here, but i expect the market to bounce if that is true and we will talk about this next week whether his predictions are spot on.
