Real shit!!!, Khabib Nurmagomedov vs TonyFerguson will never be happened.  Cry
Let's us expect for the upcoming main events. I hope it will happen soon!!!

Justin Gaethje vs ConorMcGregor
Justin Gaethje vs Tony Ferguson (Part 2)
Justin Gaethje vs Khabib Nurmagomedov
ConorMcGregor vs Khabib Nurmagomedov (Part 2)
Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Tony Ferguson will always be an unrealized match up for the fans and with the defeat now against Justin Gaethje there is no way we will see that match up anytime soon. I was expecting Tony to win and the Khabib fight to happen next but now everything changed.

After Justin Gaethje winning the interim belt Conor McGregor is calling out Nate Diaz, the next fight for Justin Gaethje is Khabib Nurmagomedov for the title unification and it will be an interesting fight with the way Justin Gaethje performed against Tony it will be interesting to see the take down defense and the leg kicks and how Khabib will counter those.
1762  Economy / Economics / Re: Goverments creating digital currencies - Threat or Opportunity? on: May 10, 2020, 04:36:21 PM
For ordinary people, nothing will change if the government creates a national digital currency. I think it will not even be noticeable than you pay, people will continue to pay by card or phone, even without knowing that they are making a payment at the CBDC. In this case, only the government wins, because such a currency will be centralized.
There might be no difference for the ordinary people and these government digital currencies will be used to monitor every single transaction and to have a complete control over where they spent the money but if there is an option for investors can purchase the decentralized currencies using those government based digital currencies then it would be great for people who are finding it difficult to invest in bitcoin without strict KYC.
1763  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a Store of Value on: May 10, 2020, 09:58:26 AM
Yes, bitcoin volatility is the biggest risk that makes some people reconsider investing.
Is it not the volatility of the stock market that makes traders become attracted to it like bees to flowers? Similar case here. People buy bitcoin because they speculate on its prices to go up and sell to make a profit.
You have a point with some investors viewing every market as speculative but there is major difference between a traditional stock market where the performance of the company can be monitored and their profit determines how well the price goes but in bitcoin there is nothing to base your valuation as it is speculation and luck.

As TUE mentioned the entry and exit is important in any investment not just bitcoin.

1764  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Mayor Wants to Re-open Casinos. Thoughts? on: May 10, 2020, 03:30:00 AM
Singapore should be the best example of what the 2nd wave of the pandemic would look like. The country did a good job in containing the virus in the beginning, however, opened their country very early and they had no plan on how to fight it versus the 2nd wave.

I reckon the Las Vegas is being pressured by the powerful casino owners.
People are taking it lightly and they wanted to restart their business and keep it rolling and Singapore is a good example where they controlled in the beginning but when they started opened everything, the second wave is creating problems for them.

The casino owners are powerful.

The mayor does not have the concern for the people, I reckon. The skeptical me is thinking that she is pressured by the people who made her the mayor, the owners of the casinos.
People are protesting is what i heard from friends to open business and Mayor will be having no choice than to comply with them if not their political career will be difficult.

I have good news for you and others i.e. the event is not being canceled as Dana White has confirmed that the event will continue as per the schedule set by him, and he’s even proud of the fact that the system that he put in place to check their fighters is working. At this stage I do feel bad for Jacare as he won’t be able to participate in the event, but I’m also glad that their system for checking their fighters is working as that’ll ensure everyone’s safety in the arena.
We will see the extend of the situation two weeks after the event and hopefully no one will be infected after the event, what i see from reports is that the coaching staff of Jacare Souza is also positive and his training partners will also be infected and who knows which all fighters had contact with him when he came for the event.

Two more hours for the event to start, i am excited to see the fights and if everything goes well we will see all the planned fights with restrictions.
1766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: May 09, 2020, 12:44:56 PM
Just got a text...  Jacare vs Hall is cancelled.  Jacare has the Rooona.  I hope the comission at Florida or some regulatory body doesn't cancel the whole thing.
That is unfortunate, but it is fine they identified and taken him off the card, but who knows how much people he contacted while training for the fight and when he reached the arena. I was looking at the news whether they will cancel the event but there is nothing of that sort yet, this is a really great fight card from top to bottom and i hope it will continue without much issue.

And here's the same question I've been asking football fans.  If a player tests positive, will a league's FA cancel the season again?
Football is a group event and if someone is positive then the entire team is in trouble and they will be forced to pause or cancel the season.
1767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: May 08, 2020, 09:14:29 PM
In a world where you cannot uphold privacy you think that if there is an agreement it will not leak to the media, even if there is a private deal if they are admitted to the hospital for the treatment it will be public knowledge Tongue.
UFC is a premier monopoly for MMA and majority of the fighters would not dare to speak against them fearing that they will loose their career.

That is a horrific pic you posted.

Things had changed so people who loved to be on the stadium would have to go PPV unless they are willing to risk. McGregor and Masvidal I guess are confirmed to be in the island. But not Kabib. Still the profit from the gate receipts will not be the same.
Even if it a normal situation Khabib will not fight citing religious obligation as he is fasting, McGregor and Masvidal would be great, will they put a BMF belt for the fight to make it a title fight  Cheesy.
1768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: WBC Explores Possibility Of Remote Scoring For Upcoming Fights on: May 07, 2020, 10:53:47 PM
Of course, there are still a lot of concerns here, but maybe, just maybe this will work if ever boxing will continue in this crisis. What do you guys think? Is this feasible?
If they are planning to open boxing and wanted to put events in empty stadiums like UFC is planning to do this weekend they are do and have the option of remote scoring but i think UFC is going with the same stipulation with everything including judging and the only difference is empty stadiums. The success of the upcoming UFC event will determine whether other individual sports can start their schedule.
1769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the Faith of cryptocurrency after this pandemic period. on: May 06, 2020, 11:52:41 PM
Even when this pandemic continues to unsettle the public, the crypto market is able to rise and after the recovery occurs we still have a consistent increase and of course this event will attract more investors and even ordinary people to invest or just looking for quick profits in this market.
The future is uncertain and there is no clarity on when everything returns to normal, government around the globe will be forced to open the market because of financial rippling affect the pandemic has created but if the government extends their plans on opening the market then it will tough for everyone and you cannot expect unemployed people investing in the market as you should expect many unemployment cases rising in the next few months.

You want to reduce days for draw matches but its not going to help any way right now test is doing very good as we have very few draw test matches its just because of twenty/20 but still we have no window for test world cup as many of us want to watch because this need some good time which is very hard to set still current format is ok but need some more work and settlements from ICC and all boards.
You missed the context, it was a pun intended to the response JSRAW gave to Vishnu.Reang. I am not a huge test match enthusiast and i do not want to see a match playing for 5 days and then announce that there is no result because the bowlers were not able to pick the wickets Cheesy (pun).
Just making sure that you understand what i am trying to say  Wink.
1771  Economy / Economics / Re: Will the Oil be burned and how it will affect the climate on: May 06, 2020, 09:28:28 PM
Recently I heard some news that countries consider burning oil because there's no more place to store it.
As you know the oil production volumes are huge, and this means that a lot of oil will be burn.
So the question is, how will it affect the earth's climate? Is this a significant concern for the environmentalists?
No country will consider burning oil because they have no space to store them Roll Eyes they can reduce the production considerably rather or pitch to other countries for a much lower market rate and with these options available why would they waste by burning, since you started the topic i was searching and i could not find any sources. ?

1772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you newbie looking for perceive income? Just be careful of AIRDROP on: May 06, 2020, 08:53:26 PM
If you are newbie and you are looking for ways of making some  Bitcoin and other altcoin, be very CAREFUL with AIRDROP campaign as many of them out there are out to scam/milk you with the little ones at your disposal. Sometimes, they are out to get your personal information like email address, etc and sell it out for money.
I am not participating in any airdrop for a very long time because there is no point in collecting shit coins with no value and majority are made to collect your data and i have seen many bounties asking for your identify verification in the premise that it will be used to verify that you are not cheating them, pretty convincing stuff but i will pass all these bullshit.

Some of them will tell you to send some amount of BTC or ethereum to their address as fee for you to get the aclaimed airdrop reward of which they will later run away and mute their telegram channel.
If you understand that there is nothing free available you will not fall for scams, there are scammers preying everywhere for victims and if you have that idea on the back of your mind, you will not fall prey Smiley.
1773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: May 06, 2020, 07:27:11 PM
I am just saying that a "real" test world cup is hundred times better than this staggered and clumsy WTC.
It is impossible to have a Test world cup in a short period of time and the ICC came up with this proposition to make things interesting for the fans, it might be clumsy but to have a world champion every two years will encourage every captain who is competing to be the champion to go for the win rather than slow matches which ends up in a draw.

Ind vs Aus, Eng vs Aus, Ind vs Eng test matches should be restricted to 3-4 days? Good luck with that..
If we are willing to see more draws then reducing the number of days will help  Cheesy. When i first watched and learned about test cricket i was thinking 5 days of play and no result is mockery  Cheesy.
1774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: May 06, 2020, 06:22:49 PM
^  Yup...  The thing I got from it is Ferguson should be extra careful about those hard Gaethje leg kicks.  I didn't realize he threw a lot of those til I saw the stats.  And remember, Ferguson had a knee injury a couple of years back and had to get surgery.  I think it was the left knee.
The leg injury and the surgery pic looked horrible and yes it was his left leg, yet Ferguson returned to fight Anthony Pettis than normal time which is crazy on its own because with the type of injury he had it was foolish to return that fast and he came back and destroyed Pettis even though he got rocked in the fight.

I really doubt that is the real plan of Dana White he would not want an opportunity to go in waste and his bank account to wither like what happens to many sporting events he would surely just wants his money that is his real agenda in the first place, and he becomes filthy rich because of UFC he would surely want to continue amidst the risk involved I am having doubt and at the same time excited if this fight will really continue.
It might be because of the contact they have with ESPN, Dana White made enough money and he has everything in life and earned around $400 million when they sold the UFC and still he has stakes in the company.

The doubt i have is, what happens if any fighter tests positive after the event, will they sign a non disclosure agreement with the fighters to keep their mouth shut.
1775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Michael Jordan’s gambling history revisited. on: May 06, 2020, 05:25:44 PM
Being an all-time great, he needs to protect himself, from gambling and from his reputation getting ruin, and besides these were from the past, and if he is still doing it up to this today, his making sure that he is doing it very discreetly, he is a businessman and people are looking up to him, he don't want to let these people down.
Even if he gambled he is not going reveal what he did and there is nothing that can be done to investigate what happened in the past, if there proof that he gambled in his matches then it will get him in trouble and his reputation will be tarnished. Not sure why these kind of topics popped up now, everyone is bored and there is nothing much to talk and now this revelation that he used to gamble  Undecided.
1776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: May 06, 2020, 04:06:20 PM
@ene1980 as other users have correctly pointed out that they’re not doing it for the fans, or even looking out to add any new fans they’re only doing it to add more money to their bank accounts, and it’s a very greedy move in my personal opinion. While I do condemn their motives I’ll yet be watching the event, and may even wager on it as it’s been really long since I saw some proper sporting event.
The reason might be the ESPN deal they had for a whooping $1.5 billion and they need to telecast 40 events each year including PPV and since they lost a couple of months they might be forced to carry on with the event, like you said,  i will be watching the event as there is nothing interesting to watch for a very long time but we will know the consequences in a months time, if everything goes fine and the fighters are safe, then it is fine.

Here's Inside the Octagon for 249.  It doesn't feel the same with Hardy and Gooden doing it over video chat...  Enjoy.
Smiley but the breakdown was great as usual.
1777  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When to buy - question to Hodlers on: May 05, 2020, 10:06:31 PM
I myself buy Bitcoin every month no matter the price for a set amount from my paycheck, in hopes of averaging the price I buy for.
Before doing that Id wait and hope to catch it at a lower price but that always seemed to go in the wrong way, aka. price went up =)

tl;dr When do you buy your Bitcoin?
If you have a base idea on what the market situation will be in the near future then you should be prepared to invest when ever there is a dip in the market rather than investing whenever you like irrespective of the price. The halving is not a secret and everyone who invest in the market knows that the market would rise from the present situation and investors started investing whenever the price went down.

For you to have a better understanding, here is the data for the past few moths conducted by some researchers.

BitConnect was a very popular project (although not ICO if I remember correctly) and look at the damage they've done. Popular =/= legitimacy. There are lots of factors to take into consideration if you want to decide whether a project is worth the investment or not - popularity may be one of them, but shouldn't be the decisive one.
They conducted an ICO in 2016 here is the thread
[ANN][BCC] Bitconnect Coin - Decentralized Cryptocurrency
, many got trapped because of FOMO in bitcoin and wanted to make money and they were able to convince new investors and shrug off anyone calling them a ponzi with constant lies.

There are many hunters who skip their research and trust some random users advice on those project rating platforms.
There were many websites who used to rate every ICO projects and many or all used to take money from the projects and give a high rating, you cannot trust anyone who reviews and rate investment.

Your point is valid but few boards still very greedy and want to do some more then this all so they are doing their best for this as ECB already doing its just because of Corona they are late otherwise this was all fixed so hopefully this out come will happen next year.
Who does not like money, if you compare the top boards the rest of the cricket boards are not making that kind of money, but here the experimentation is done by ECB as they usually do that and that is how we are having T20 , England experimented with it and now there is a billion dollar business in T20 cricket alone and the new format looks interesting because

20 balls each bowler
Bowlers can opt for 5 or 10 consecutive deliveries instead of 6

Whether a fast bowler is able to bowl 10 balls without fatigue, think about Rashid Khan bowling 10 balls on the trot which will be a nightmare for many Cheesy.
1780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Diamond Backed Stablecoin on: May 05, 2020, 05:11:15 PM
2. Why would anyone buy a digital token and not gold?
Looks like you have done searching for the void in the market and you came to a conclusion that there is no project backed by diamond Cheesy. I understand you curiosity about making your idea successful, digital token can be created by anyone as it is open source and what makes it valuable is when investors are willing to trade, you can see thousands of worthless tokens and it does not mean anything.

The project you are talking about is not easy unless you have some contacts in Antwerp because it is the diamond capital of the world Wink.
