2761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: rpietila Altcoin Observer on: October 05, 2014, 09:10:15 PM

1) Satoshi got hacked, the email adress popped up recently, his Bitcoins get dumped. Since all Altcoins reference their trade value on that, going down in flames too. Should be visible inside Blockchain analysis.

Pretty unlikely this is happening. People would notice it I think and be shouting it from the rooftops if those coins moved at all.

The noob troll accounts do shout this every time there is a drop.  It helps me to identify them for 'ignore' processing (cleared 3 this morning).  At first I used to check the blockchain.  Finally I signed up for my own account that I might exercise that little button, making lurking bearable again.

I think the fear has reached an extreme far higher than anything in 2014 yet. People (including me) are talking about getting back to work, putting castles for sale, and the price reaching $100-$200 in a matter of weeks.

Typically, extreme fear is associated with prices that in nearly all timeframes provide far above-average returns. Unlike most extreme fear situations, the one in Bitcoin now is very easy to capitalize on, because bitcoins can easily be bought 24/7.

Even if buying more is not a realistic option due to the portfolio already being heavy in BTC, selling is generally not warranted unless you want to be one of those taken advantage of.

When you think about it, Bitcoin is a real threat to economy in a given society, when the value goes up that fast ( as you claim it will) many people will be leaving their daily productive jobs.... and when thinking about mass adoption I start thinking about a bunch of greedy lazy bastards.... this surely will result to the collapse of that society.

Thankfully, after being home for 7 months now, I started looking for a job.

I think there is far more unemployment than there is newly crypto-rich retirees.  In fact, it might just be part of the solution.  I will let you know in another order of magnitude or two...

Oh fuck, we are not over yet

Stamp seems unwilling to follow China anymore at least volume wise, no big dumps happening anymore. Mostly small traders actin.

All of the coins have changed hands, nothing left to dump  Grin

But why has the shareprice not reached 0 yet?  Huh

Could have something to do with AM's recent domination of the hardware market with the Prisma or maybe because the company has several million dollars in assets.

yup, business is good, no need to sing it out loud. wait for teh datatanks, let the competition dry out. errting kul. ^^
I've been watching one of the addresses for a while now look like they bring in a million a day....no clue what their margin on that is though

Let's drink to selling lots of prisma miners next week for lots of btc at this low  price   Grin  that should offset the low margin mining.

EDIT: I finally noticed the ads on the forum... Listing 1.39btc price.  Bargain!

Ok I know this might sound nuts. But what if electricity costs were not a factor. Imagine Putin has a secret mission whereby he is giving away power to a secret team of miners...in secret Shocked

sounds like too much effort.... he is too lazy for that.... he just does not Putin the hours..

Sorry, I shall get my coat.

TAXI!!

Not only a source of meme gifs   Cheesy

Does Russia have a lot of IC mfg capacity?  No?  Then where are they getting this secret mining hardware from?  Hash rate has fallen off substantially this period, possibly to the point of a difficulty decrease.  Whatever Putin may be mining, it isn't bitcoin.

A billionaire, in countries that use the short scale number naming system, is a person with a net worth of at least one billion (1,000,000,000) units of a given currency...

So.... volume spikes on no news, share price rises nearly 50% on Havelock... and this forum is silent?

Ahh! some good news to close a shitty day!  Quiet because Friday evenings are usually pretty dead here (BCT).  I had been too busy dealing with my shitty day, and hadn't looked at HL.  A ray of sunshine! Smiley
2770  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: October 02, 2014, 11:29:14 PM
plus i dont care about $$$ losses. it is already worth nothing to me anyway Tongue

Wow, can I have some of those worthless stuff? Tongue
Help yourself, they are giving it away as fast as it can be printed  Cheesy
2771  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 02, 2014, 11:09:43 PM
Well duh, keep your info to yourself, and you won't get hax0rd.
Bitcoiners must be pretty stupid, since plenty of them lost money on Gox.  You trade, on an exchange, bro?  Tell me all about keeping the priv. key to yourself Cheesy

@njcarlos Re. "please don't conflate":  Huh?  I deposit $$ in a bank, and don't lose a penny if they get hacked.  I like that Smiley

Of course, I don't deposit in crypto banks like Ukyo, TF or

This is a relatively new phenomenon. There are many elderly people who still distrust keeping their money in a bank. Ask Cyprus what they think about banks.

Lol, the elderly people who distrust banks will just FLOCK to Bitcoin!

No, they will die off, and be replaced by younger,  more flexible people, as has happened for many generations.

I'm new to the forum. For information on this topic is weak, you would ask the help of. Send a private message headers can get more info if you could?
You should go to the other language subforums, this is the english section.
Bad google translate or bad bot?

Check out the buy walls at Huobi...
http://www.bitcoinity.org/markets/huobi/CNY

looks like 1000 or so recently added to the bid side right up close to market...  Action incoming?
2774  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: October 01, 2014, 02:05:41 AM
Looks like ~500 shares were transferred to havelock before the dumping of ~500 shares.

I've noticed each dump recently has been after hundreds of shares are transferred to havelock.

My guess would be it's an IPO shareholder looking to get out or manipulate the already thin market.

29421 shares on HL.  12-14k last winter/spring.  How big are the ask walls going to be once things get rolling? Grin
2775  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: October 01, 2014, 01:35:36 AM
been waiting for this, was hoping to sell with the dump and pick up my shares back at 0.1... missed out big time

if there's any time to manipulate the price downwards before the prisma sales pile up and mining announcement then seems that was it Smiley

VERY thin book down to .01.  Manipulate away.  If the asks follow, i will help you mop them up  Cheesy
I didn't expect this today.  Maybe tomorrow on no news, but not leading the first of the month, and a Wednesday to boot.  Could make for crazy fireworks, or just another day of no news... Normalcy bias leaves me leaning toward the no news again side.
2776  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: October 01, 2014, 12:54:55 AM
Anybody got insight to the clearing of the bids on Havelock?  Book dumped down to .10, next to nothing left down to .01   Shocked
2777  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: October 01, 2014, 12:36:43 AM
What news?  Havelock is down to .10
2778  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 27, 2014, 04:37:32 AM
i know 30K coins taken off the market, traders are going to be playing hot potato with 1/10th of a potato this weekend.  Cheesy

Is there a trick to understand Adam's analogies? Is there a 3 drink minimum or a bowl of weed needed for this to make sense?

Nope, still doesn't compute  Grin
2779  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 26, 2014, 08:30:15 AM
Looks like we're retesting 380 soon unless we go back up over 405

Ohhhh...  So... we're going down, unless we go up.    Shocked
2780  Economy / Speculation / Re: Automated posting on: September 25, 2014, 05:25:11 AM
