There could be more downside risk to XMR/BTC at Polo. If you take a look at the daily chart the StochRSI oscillator is headed down but not in oversold range yet. Possible double bottom set up at .0155. On the other hand price has stabilized at the 50% level from most recent swing low to swing high. Monero is working fine, fees are down after the recent hard fork, traders just need some more time to digest and dismiss the recent FUD.

Also really low volume, and a slumping order book.

15k XMR  -  biggest buy wall I've seen on polo in some time.  Support otherwise pretty slim, though few seem willing to sell under 0.017 in any case.  Indeed, why would you?

hah.  just a flasher.

ther are some rumors in polo trollbox about moneros not anon: see here

true?

Read the paper, results are legit.

Anyone who has used Monero on the dmns time to scrub!

It's based on 2 year old research, when the Monero minimum mandatory mix-in count was 0. Today Monero requires a bare minimum of 2-mixins (for a total of 3 participants) in each transaction.

E.g. What this paper written by ZCash people alludes to was a problem that was fixed one or two hard forks ago.

LOL  FUD and lies continue

Save 30 seconds of your life and skip to the last paragraph, if you think you can get the stink of cointelegraph off of your browser.  Otherwise treat it like anything else they publish, and don't bother at all.

That last paragraph is what demonstrates that the article ISN'T FUD.

But you didn't stop to think before your knee jerk reaction, did you?

It is what it is, nothing more and nothing less, both sides of the coin, and with so much talk here about the subject and nobody having posted the article, I thought I'd throw it out there for you, without predisposed bias and to be treated as objectively as was written.

Next time try being civil and thinking a bit.

Sensationalizing old, and increasingly irrelevant 'news' IS FUD.

The drops of Bitcoin is also a reason but not the main one of this recent spike as I do believe this is uptrend which will keep increasing and momentum will be huge to push the market further high after every passing day. This market is waiting for some mega pump to take it all time high where it should be.

Hard fork, Coinbase, Moonbase?  I'm just excited to see the full node run on a smart phone, and surprised there isn't more comment on it.

Monero deserves his spot and I think it will go higher and higher in time for sure . Untill then try to catch some at low prices .

Yeah but after a 10x raise not many coins get another raise so fast,

Monero is the first to do many things...like:

thanks for posting that in the other thread, bitwolf!  I don't spend much time on reddit..

Yeah ... Monero of course.

wow, this nutildah guy is one nutty troll.
His justification for hating XMR could be equally levelled at BTC (where cult-like observation is far more frequent), yet he identifies himself as professional blogger on the subject.
And the ad hom attacks on individuals seem borne of spite and malice towards people he's never met, a display of the sociopathy he accuses them of.
All rather hypocritical.

enough said.

Kraken:  Hi, we've been too busy adding dash trading to answer your support ticket for FIVE DAYS.

Gee, really excites me to use their exchange.  Many options these days, thankfully.

Can anyone explain what is Kovri and how it affects Monero? Thanksss

You might find the answer you are seeking here:
http://monero.stackexchange.com/

If not, it is also a good place to ask.

Poloniex volume approaching stall speed...  Up or Down?  I think up, but maybe that is projection  Undecided

<4 hours or so later...>

So...

 Up.  Tongue

Before a hard fork the people are a bit suspicious because of the bad name a hard fork has in the other coins especially btc and ethereum. Thats why usually a price stall can be seen. But the hard forks in Monero give only performance optimisations and new features. Soon after people understand that again in 2 days the price gonna jump up.

BTW One of the biggest projects in Monero - Kovri https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/64tomq/kovri_alpha_release_coming_soon/ is coming to a pre Alpha release soon.  Kovri is the new decentralized and anonymous internet. With it Monero is going to be the true and only privacy king in the world.

It was all of polo that was stalled though.  XMR came to life same time as LTC and the other current high volume coins.  Highlights the interconnected manipulations, and/or the powering up of some big bankroll bots.

Im not sure how bitcoin is not fungible, doesn't that just require each part is interchangeable.  Bitcoin is a liquid system, able to retain its value even.  Its purpose or abilities is not different from the beginning ?

An article that does a good job explaining fungibility in crypto.

Hey can someone knowledgable here post a quick synopsis of the situation with XMR LENDING on Poloniex?

Currently the return on best offer is .0001%.  Presumably such offers are made short term in order to hook a short borrower, and will be withdrawn later in order to squeeze them.  I haven't been watching but my guess is that the lending rates are hyper-volatile.

Flat at near zero for months.  Available loans shrinking substantially in the last week or so though, so as the price and volume increase, so should the lending rate.
