Speaking about the return of the PBA.

Here's the latest news ;

PBA to resume season on Aug. 29 on initiative of players: source

Quote
PBA players are eager to return to action and are pitching in as the league faces a more expensive “semi-bubble” setup in Pampanga, possibly starting on Aug. 29.

Sources told Spin.ph that the team captains led by Ginebra superstar LA Tenorio have agreed to take care of some of the expenses so that the league can resume play at Clark.

The PBA has put Philippine Cup games on hold while NCR is under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ).

Tenorio met with fellow team captains two weeks ago and have agreed to help their ballclubs with the cost of playing in a “semi-bubble” setup.

As previously reported, it's a semi-bubble setup, and might also see the return this month, just a week delayed from the first reported date
Something that players need to carry to help the franchise and to keep the league in good shape, this pandemic hits them up and
without these initiatives, delayed might happen.

Thanks to all team captains, as they agreed together to make things happened and to let the ball rolling again, another week of delays
is better than nothing at all.

Give the players some time to complete those practices and to make them in shape when the resume takes place.

IMO, they are already in shape because the conference has already started, what's going to happen is that they will just transfer to a new location. This venue is not new to them as they already played here in the first bubble where BGSM has become the champion.

Meanwhile, since SMB is full of stars, I hope this is true because it could affect CJ's ego not to be part of the starting line up.

This season, I really want to see a final series between Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets.
Everyone wants to see them in the NBA Finals, Lebron is bound for NBA Finals again this season that's why they are making their team stronger with the addition of  Russell Westbrook. My biggest concern is only the Chemistry, no question about their talent, but if they don't play as a team, they are not going our expectations from them.

2763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Moloney vs Franco III: Ordered by WBA (No date yet) on: August 15, 2021, 11:44:29 AM
There was no controversy this time around. Franco was the clear winner. He made the adjustments he needed to make and won the decision. This would've been a great fight to bet on the underdog. People were going off the impression of the second fight where Franco did not look so good because of the eye injury but when he was in good shape in the first fight it was very close.

I'm inclined to bet on Moloney because of that second fight but you are right, Franco did the necessary adjustments to win this via unanimous decision minus the controversy but still a good fight way far better than the Rigo vs Casimero snore feast.

Damn, that could have been a big win for me if a chose the Franco win via Decision, that's 5.xx I think if I'm not wrong.

I didn't see the fight because I was busy watching a boring fight of Casimero vs Rigo, but regarding the odds, I think that was the odds and it's a great odds, especially if you parlay it with Casimero at x6, so you'll get at least x30 odds which gives a big return of your money.

Yeah, all eyes is on the Rigo vs Casimero fight because there's a lot of hype on it, although Casimero win, it's a boring fight as Rigo didn't want to engage toe to toe.
And Rigo believes he won that fight, lol.. He as boring that's why Casimero was not able to KO him, if he fought like how he fought in his last fight, we might be able to see a very entertaining fight.

For this fight, Franco did an amazing jab on putting Moloney on the corner and making him very uncomfortable in this fight. As others have said, it's the adjustment and the strategy that him and his team put out to settle with Moloney. A good ML on Franco is already good as he is the underdog. Personally, I didn't bet on this fight. But congrats if someone bet on Franco as the underdog.

It was the underdog who did well and lucky are those who bet on him.

There's also a fight by our Filipino fight Genesis Servania, but unfortunately, he was KO in round one, good thing I was not able to find the betting odds in our crypto bookie, I could have lost some money.

2764  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 15, 2021, 11:25:09 AM
This could be the last we will see Manny fight in the ring he will be very busy after this fight and by the time there is an open for a new fight, he cannot do it because he is holding a high position and it won't let him fight again, or his body could not keep up anymore so I hope he can give us a great fight and he wins another title again, I lost count how many titles he wins people are only counting weight category.

Maybe this could be the last time we will see Pacquiao fight in the ring but maybe it is not. The presidential election of the Philippines isn't yet happening and also Pacquiao is not sure if he will going to win the race. However knowing that the anticipated fight of Pacquiao will be push through despite that Errol Spencer Jr. withdraw from the match due to injury but the boxing management manage to find another opponent that will going to fight Pacquiao is good enough because I am waiting for this fight and wanted to place a bet favor on the odds of Pacquiao.

It could be his last fight if he wins in the election, but if he will not, we might see him fight again as long as he will win this fight. Many are saying that it's an easy fight for Pacquiao, and I agree with that, so let's continue to hype this fight as though no Errol Spence, but seeing Pacquiao fight is always a satisfaction for us.

Don't worry, he will not win in the election so we will probably see him have some fight next year. This fight with Ugas is not an awaited fight, but since people have already bought the PPV subscription and some have bought the ticket, they have no choice but just to watch this fight.

I know it's a great fight, and it will not be the same fight that we just witness which is the Casimero vs Rigo, which was a boring fight.

2766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: August 14, 2021, 09:10:53 PM
Well , I had no idea about summer league until I saw this post so cheers to you.

One question tho. Are teams really playing with at least some of the main players that will play in the regular season ? because I can't find who is playing for who but I might take a peak to find some streams and wait for tomorrow game of Bulls against Pelicans.

As far as I know, no, they are not playing with their superstars in the summer league. Usually it's more on of a rookie and sophomore and some prospects from the D-League and unrestricted free agents. They are given the opportunity to play with their teams and show their talents. Specially for D-League and unrestricted free agents, maybe the NBA teams will show interest on them if they show something in this tournament.

Sometimes they'll play their main players just to warm them up a bit, but they only played with very limited minutes, it's the initiative of the coach not to play them so they can avoid injury, this is a nonbearing game, it's not part of the tally in the regular season, so no need to risk them on the floor. you know superstars are valuable investments, the management can't afford to see their main players injured after getting them to sign with a huge amount.

It's better for the coach not to bring their A players in this league for me. They have pre-season NBA games and that's where you put your players and see how they are going to fit.

I'm not betting though, much better to watch this young guys, specially rookies (high draft picks). Some highlights of fellow Pinoy Jalen Green and he is really that good, hope he can live on the hype when regular seasons come. Kudos though to @morvillz7z for bringing this up and putting a bet.

Yes, he is good, but unfortunately, he was injured, and this is the latest report of his injury.

Jalen Green injury: Rockets rookie expected to miss rest of Summer League due to sore hamstring, per report

Quote
Houston Rockets guard Jalen Green, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, is expected to miss the remainder of the Las Vegas Summer League due to a sore hamstring, according to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports. While the injury is not expected to be serious, he will undergo an MRI as a precaution, ESPN's Tim MacMahon added.

Maybe I'll start betting in the preseason.  Here's the preseason schedule.

2767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: August 14, 2021, 08:33:56 PM
Last call for those who have not put their bet yet.

Casimero to win by decision is quite attractive too, but since everyone is expecting that if he will win, he could win by KO, then I think there's a little percentage that he will win if this fight goes to distance.

I hope there's a live streaming link here.  Cheesy
I have already put up bets on 3.  Cheesy

Casimero win
Win via KO
Win via decision.

Yeah it would add up on total bet amount but you can patch up if ever it would hit up that via decision bet.
I did make some balance though. Its indeed attractive but I don't agree that if this fight would goes to distance, he could still able to manage it.

There are no round ranges in the betting odds of sportsbet, I'm looking for a rounds 1-3, 4-6, so on and so forth bet. It's hard to predict in a particular round as Rigondeaux though does not have a high KO percentage is still very active in the ring, I think he is even faster than Casimero.

I'm also looking like in the middle rounds that Casimero will stop Rigondeaux. Timing is more important that speed and since you said that Rigondeaux doesn't have power and Casimero has a good chin, I don't see him putting a dent on Casimero here. The only problem I see is that if the fight goes to the distance, maybe Casimero doesn't have that strength because he also throw big punches that might drain him as the fight goes like 6-12 rounds.

If it goes to distance, that means Casimero is not hitting Rigondeaux that's why in the betting odds available, Rigondeaux has a lower odds which means he has a higher chance of winning the fight. Rigondeaux is a defensive fight, Casimero should find a way to hurt him and possibly KO him not later than 6 rounds.
2768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Moloney vs Franco III: Ordered by WBA (No date yet) on: August 14, 2021, 08:10:58 PM
I think Franco will dictate the fight here and could win by ko or ud.

Odds for Franco are very attractive and yes there is a chance that he can defend this title against Moloney but I'll still be backing the Australian boxer just like in the second fight. Moloney by decision @2.87 is not bad either so i just hope this time both boxers will be careful against headbutts.

Genesis Servanis (the boxer who give Oscar Valdez one hell of a fight) will be fighting in the undercard but i could not find an odds for that fight. Not popular, i guess that would be the reason why bookies not covering this one.

I hope these odds will be available on crypto betting sites. I search the betting odds and google took me here.

https://parimatch.com/en/events/andres-cortes-genesis-servania-6538558/1

I think it's a fiat bookie, so no chance I could gamble there.

It's not going to be a funny experience for franco because moloney having filled the suit against Franco must have given his all in training, in full preparation of the rematch it's a match worth watching please keep us posted about the date of the match incase it eludes the brain due to other activities

According to the post above, the fight will be happening in August 15, 2021, which means we will see this fight tomorrow. OP just forget to update the date but if do some quick search, you can find some information here.

James Yap won't be traded with the Rain or Shine if he still meets the expectation of the team. Paul Lee is younger, and for sure he can still achieve more success than James Yap, and I think anytime soon, James Yap will retire but we will never forget him as he is Mr. Big Shot in the PBA.

I think he is still active now with ROS, but he only played limited minutes, probably because the team sees he can't be effective anymore when getting a lot of minutes like he used to in the past.

Meeting expectations? or something that related with her former wife?

or most of all because money matter? Good contract deal that will secure his future.

I don't see that point he still on his prime when the trade happened, they still a championship contender with Simon and Pingris,
and very fresh from achieving the grand slam right? Whatever it is or any reason behind, both teams agree together with the players,
and now it's a new book for both players.

I think his production has gone down, so the team has no choice but to trade him.

Yes, both teams agree that's why we can assume that they believe the player they will get will fit the team.
Look, where is James Yap now, he is barely playing with the ROS while Paul Lee is the main man of the team.

2771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 13, 2021, 01:36:24 PM
Does Manny badly needed money to accept this fight? It's already a pity that he had to fight at his age like what Floyd once said but it's still acceptable since he's facing Spence. I don't see any reason why he had to do this now that he's facing someone not as huge or at least known.

Yes he badly need that fight since he need fundings. He plans to run a presidency so that huge amount of money is a big help for his candidacy. I do hope that he will win this fight since its a big shame to him if Ugas will defeat him since we know his opponent is quite not strong enough and not so exciting to watch. Let see what happen when the fight rolls on and for sure Pacquaio's opponent will do all he can do just to boost up his self since its a huge honor to defeat a legendary fighter like pacman.

There's nothing to be ashamed because this is sport, and upset could always happen. Ugas also has a good record, he has the belt for a reason, so let us not underestimate what he can do, Pacquiao is a heavy favorite in the bookies, but that doesn't mean he is guaranteed to win.
2772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 12, 2021, 09:20:03 PM
Pacquaio found a replacement so quickly. I wonder if they offer this to Mayweather?
If will still make them good money for the match, people may even cancel schedules to see them again in the ring. I dont't really see Ugas to be a good contender.
I’m wondering for the same thing and it looks like the whole thing are being planned according to Many’s will. Despite of the record with Ugas and being an Olympic medalist, I also believe that Manny is too much for him and seeing the odds now, Manny leads on it. Maybe those who bought their ticket will refund it out of disappointment.

That's another thing, for sure a lot of changes will happen and not for the benefit of fighters, but anyway, since Manny wish Errol Spence a fast recovery, maybe Manny has already accepted it and has moved on, this fight might not bring him the money he expected but he can still be profitable in this fight.
2773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 12, 2021, 08:47:56 PM
~snip~
Let’s see what happens but I really believe that one of the three may not sign for now, may extend next season, but maybe not now.
I doubt that, this big 3 are capable of winning a championship, before the playoffs, they had already been playing beautiful basketball and they have the chemistry that we are not expecting, it's only the injury problem that causes the failure of the team, Harden and Irving are playing well based on my observation.

Crypto is now growing dqy by day. crypto is blockchain technology. Just like the start of the internet or digital movies and music. Crypto is here to stay you can’t stop new technology from growing. More and more money will be add in future.
That's a guarantee but the growth has to be properly evaluated as the market could be overvalued at the moment due to the hype. If you think it's overvalued, then don't buy at the moment, unless you are willing to hold it for long term.

the situation now is only good for day trading, but not on short term trade because IMO, the opportunity was when bitcoin dump below $30,000.

John Riel Casimero vs Guillermo Rigondeaux - Casimero is the holder of the WBO world bantamweight title (53.2kg,, who will hold the belt, anyone dare to take the bet, are you counting on any of them, but I will definitely side with casemiro I'm sure Casemiro can beat his opponent, is there anyone here who dares to bet..

wow, that's so nice, but you need to look for an escrow to ensure funds are safe, if no betting odds of this fight will be displayed, then that's the only option we will get. However, who will be listed as favorites or underdog, would you take a 50-50 odds?
2777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: August 08, 2021, 09:19:08 PM

Those who are saying that Manny should retire does not believe Manny will continue to make history, yes, he is old and they are concerned about his age, but look how he fights, he keeps winning even against the young champion in his division, how can yous stop a man from fighting if he feels he can dominate the division?

They have doubts because of old age and years of inactivity compared to a fighter who is very active, very young, and considered to be one of the top fighter in boxing, I also doubt the first time but when I saw his training I come to believe that Manny Pacquiao still has what it takes, we'll see if Pacquiao will again conquer the world.

I think both of them are inactive, they just have 1 fight because of the obvious happenings around us. The advantage of Spence is that he is young and has the height advantage. But Pacquiao can conquer that odds as he has seen a lot of bigger guys and fought them hard. Yeah, Pacquiao is still more hungry and motivated specially that he is once again the underdog in a fight. And I'm sure he is inspired by the boxers of the Philippines in the Olympics winning medals for his country. So just imagine if he wins here, Philippines will have a lot to celebrate this August.

Spence is not inactive, he fought last year against Danny Garcia and won via unanimous decision, and remember, that was his first fight after a major car accident, but he still win and dominate. While Pacman has not fought for over 2 years already, his last fight was July 2019 against Thurman.

It doesn't surprise me at all even though it's really good news.

The increase that we saw is amazing but it's also possible we will see a big decrease in just a short period of time.
The market manipulation is still in play and whales are always looking at the news that they can use to move the market.

If we want to see real progress, it should be in a slow but consistent manner as that's how real adoption should work.

This news confirms that Carlo Paalam will be back to the Olympics.

Carlo Paalam keeps eyes on Olympic gold, vows not to turn pro

Quote
TOKYO - Carlo Paalam said he used to be a member of the 'Avengers.'

By that, he meant scavengers. Avengers was what those kids in his hometown of Carmen, Cagayan de Oro playfully call themselves while digging up anything of value in other people's garbage. Mangangalakal was how they're also called.

Well, Paalam may not be a super hero now, but he's a real-life hero in the eyes of a nation enamored by his courageous journey from being the least heralded member of the four-man boxing team to a silver medalist at the Tokyo Olympics.

Good news for us as we have a good contender next Olympics, one step at a time, next time it will be the gold Medal.
2780  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: August 08, 2021, 11:27:17 AM
They should make Paul Lee ready as they have a great start, undefeated at the moment and if Paul Lee will not play due to injury, I'm afraid they will struggle as no one could replace him with the same skills and talent. I guess they will resume this month too, it won't be long as they have already plan ahead before the new restriction came in.

Paul Lee is the leader of the team, but this team is still a good team even without him. The presence of Calvin Abueva makes this team be more energetic and their defense is really impressive. They have good guards as well, so there's no need to rush Paul Lee, he should be given a good rest as there's no urgency for this team to win every game since they are rank in the number 1 spot now, a solo number 1.

We all know that because before Paul Lee, it was James Yap who got traded to ROS for Paul Lee. I don't know about the impact for the fans but I think James Yap has more impact and contribution, so Paul Lee still has to prove he can again win a championship, especially in the all Filipino cup.
