1821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Warriors vs Grizzlies 2nd round discussion on: May 08, 2022, 01:53:15 PM
As the latest news, it's possible that he could play.
https://bealestreetbears.com/2022/05/05/memphis-grizzlies-steven-adams-return/
He played but during the garbage time only.
I think Memphis is not planning to use him in the series, but they might make a new strategy in game 4.

Warriors dominate Memphis in game 3, and now the discussion is over that Memphis has a chance of beating the Warriors.

It's because the Warriors are playing small ball, that's why Adams is used sparingly in this series. Not sure what Memphis strategy as far is Adams is concern, again, he is not the focal point of their offense.

And with Morant's injury, Memphis chances are very slim against a championship like the Warriors. Too many offensive options and they have skilled defenders as well. Can play small and can have a legit center in Looney.

Everyone on the Warriors roster are making the right contribution they need to win game 3.

Poole 27 points
Curry 30 points
Thompson 21 points
Wiggins 17 points
Kuminga 18 points
Porter Jr. 13 points.

overall - WARRIORS 63% shooting percentage.

Look at that numbers, the offense are coming from everyone, so sure Memphis has no answer from that.
I have a feeling that game 4 will be the same as what happen in game 3, if Morant will not play, it's going to be easy money for the Warriors.
1822  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA _ Phoenix Suns vs Dallas Mavericks - 2nd round on: May 08, 2022, 01:33:57 PM
We have an early game tomorrow for the game 3 of Suns vs Mavericks.

Dallas is still the underdog with +2 in this game.

question..
can they duplicate the same performance they did in game 3 and continue to limit the offense of the Suns?
I'm thinking of taking the visiting team and believe that they'll finish the series when going back home.

How about you guys, what's your prediction?
1823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Miami Heat vs Philadelphia 76ers - 2nd round (Let's discuss) on: May 08, 2022, 12:19:24 PM
I like how Philly won't go down easy in this fight but I also do believe that this might be the only game they could win in this series with Heat.

Heat is on another level right now with everyone playing on high pace and high quality basketball so it's really difficult for me to see them losing another game or the series. I've also said a few days ago that Heat and Celtics are looking the strongest right now with one of them ending up as a winner.

Because they know that this opportunity can't be missed, so they decided to play Embiid and it works for them.

I agree, for them this is just another game, maybe they are not ready for Embiid, nevertheless they are still in front of the series and it's time for them to device another game plan to counter Embiid presence in the middle. They still have Bam, so it won't be very easy for Joel to dominate the inside.

Bam is good but Embiid is better than Bam that's why he is one of the favorites on the MVP competition this season. 76ers just got what they missed in the 1st two games, so I'm a bit confident also that 76ers will be able to even the series after game 4.
1824  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 08, 2022, 11:50:01 AM
GSW just destroyed Memphis last night and let's be honest , how many of us got jebaited with this Memphis team what looks on next level ? Well , I was one of them but after what I saw in highlight in this game and how GSW simply gave 0 chances for Memphis to even keep to score closer...yea , they had a great 1st quarter but after that it was only GSW.
Warriors did the right defense, Morant was still effective but only him in the team is consistent thus far. The small of ball of the Warriors is still unstoppable, and the good thing is that some players stepped up in game 3. Morant left the game with a possible injury, let's see his availability in game 4.

Also , after this game , we can all agree that Memphis has no chances left for this series.
There's a little chance, but if Warriors lose game 4, then we will have to think again.
1825  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 08, 2022, 10:49:51 AM
The Greek Freak did it again. 42 points 12 rebounds 8 assists. Great performance and becoming more of a facilitator. The Celtics did gave him a hard time to attack the paint by aiming for an offensive foul whenever he runs wild but it didn't stop him by using spin moves to create space and using his strong upper body to force his way in.
That's a great player, and his FG percentage has also increase, so you can tell that he is consistent in the series.
No one from the Celtics could stop him, he will dominate and that's the major advantage of Giannis even without his buddy Middleton.

Shutting down Tatum was the first priority then everything goes their way. Good game and the ending was a bit dramatic.  Cheesy
Worse game so far for Tatum, I'm not sure how they'll adjust that in game 4, if they can't then it' safe to assume that the series will be 3-1 going back to Celtics home court.
1826  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Davis vs Romero: May 28 on: May 07, 2022, 09:17:07 PM
But Tank has the experience not to fall for Romero's antic inside the ring. The odds really show that it is going to be a mismatch. Maybe it's better if we will wait for more betting options because the ML is not that great. Perhaps majority here are fans of Tank and can't wait to see Davis putting works against this clown and scoring a knock out win.
It's up to Romero on how he would back his words towards the Tank Davis who definitely have a much more experience in the ring and the technicalities in terms of knock out percentage, Romero may be outstanding on his class as he is much of a knockout specialist himself but I cannot help to see that Davis have really more KO percentage than him.
He should back his words, otherwise, that doesn't make him different from other trash talkers who do not show aggressiveness in the ring. It's a marketing strategy, we know that for sure, but as a fan, I like to see a boxer who can also entertain the crown when fighting in the ring.

Quote
And for that, an ML is not that juicy for me, might be best to wait for another betting option.
Good luck, that's a tough call.  Smiley
1827  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The market is confusing on: May 07, 2022, 08:48:37 PM
It's really true don't say about market because the market is confusing.I bought coins when I saw the market down. When the market is very down that's in time i think then coins can be bought and sold at a higher price.I always follow this trick but right now i understand that's not right way because follow these tricks I have always lost.so this is very confusing when the buy coin red candle or green candle?

When buying then always consider on getting in before each red candle wick but take note that there would be lots of considerations first before you would need to consider before you do make out such step.
You cant just buy just because you do see red candle considering the price do really always move out in between buyers and sellers which its really that understandable that
activity or volume would really just be too moving which is something not really new.Market is indeed confusing on which if you arent really that good on handling it out then you would really
be having a hard time.

The word confusing fits to the crypto space because the market itself is very unpredictable.
When trading, we are just playing the big guessing game, of course with our basis it will make us confident with our decision on choosing our own prediction, however, we can also be wrong, that's why there's a risk of losing our money when investing.

One thing is certain (based on trends), when the market is at bearish mode, that's the time to buy.
1828  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 07, 2022, 08:32:40 PM
I commend Coach Doc Rivers for making such a play. Embiid doesn't even have to be physical, all he needs to do is suck all the defense to him and it worked. Then, there's one play that I admired, a two-man play consisting of Green and Maxey.

I am glad I can see Danny Green moving again without the ball. Don't be stuck in one corner waiting for it, look for your own opening while messing up the Heat defense. I will bet for them in Game 4, no doubt.

That's an effective strategy but I hope Danny Green or Maxey will have the same performance next game. They are on and off in the court. In other words, they can't maintain that kind of performance and that will result in a waste of using Embiid.

Now that Heat is focused on defending Joel Embiid, it's time now for his teammates to do their role.

I'm still waiting for the Playoffs James Harden to be released. He is known to always have a big production in every playoff but he is still not on his usual.

It was only Maxey that is somewhat consistent to help Harden when Joel was out. Danny Green? not that much except for this game at their home court. I guess the savvy veteran in himself tells him to really get aggressive and shot the ball effectively. James Harden is also known for choking in playoffs, so still up to Embiid to carry the Sixers get passed the Heat but it will be not that easy.
Embiid has to be on the court, this is his team, Harden was only hired as an addition so he could help the team to improve. Known for choking? maybe, but who knows, with a new pair of superstars, Harden might play well and bring the 76ers to the NBA Finals. I know it's still too early and 76ers are likely to lose the series, but like I said, who knows.
1829  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to hit $100k? on: May 07, 2022, 02:06:47 PM
Currently, the bitcoin price is still in the price range of around $39k-$40k making it difficult for bitcoin to increase significantly to reach its target price of $100k by the middle of this year.

Today bitcoin is getting close to $35k or maybe it will drop below $35k, looking at facts like this of course we regret not selling bitcoins when the price reaches $60k or $50k, I bought the last bitcoin around $650 at $48k and seems to have to be patient to get RoI or profit.

With the right patience, you'll be able to see the price you are wishing. We are at the stage of correction now, price will dump and that is expected, however, if you don't trust bitcoin anymore, you are free to sell and take the lose. But please, don't do that, we should trust bitcoin and eductate ourselves so we will understand that what we are seeing is just a normal market trend.
1830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 07, 2022, 01:49:46 PM
We got trapped on the Miami Heat vs Sixers game. We are waiting for news for Joel to play or not, so I just go ahead and bet early though.

And so he played, 30++ minutes, enough to bring confidence on the team again. Danny Green with his outside shooting and then Maxey with 21 and Joel 18 points.

Looks like he is not injured, though he doesn't produce like his usual number, but it's enough for the 76ers to intimidate the Heat in the paint as Embiid is their to do the defense. 76ers won, and the series is now exciting, much more if they'll even the series.
1831  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 05, 2022, 06:09:44 PM
^^ Yeah, Just woke up and surprised to see that the Bucks is down, it seems that the outside shooting of the Celtics is good in this game.

And then Giannis is being check in this game, no easy shots for him and the usual double or triple team when he has the ball. We might see 1-1 tonight.

It happened, Celtics adjust so well in guarding Giannis while their shooting also adjust and contributions from Jaylen Brown

help them up in dominating and winning this game, Giannis and the rest of the Bucks tried to rally back in the
third, but Tatum and the whole cast of Boston are aware and not willing to allow that run, they push more in the
last quarter to secure that big lead and win the game.
Almost everyone have thought that the Bucks will close the game with a 2-0 lead in their series but the Celtics adjusted well and played impressively to catch up with their loss on the 1st game. They now know how to stop the Bucks especially Giannis inside the paint, if we looked into it closely, they are taking advantage of the status of the Bucks especially that they are now undermanned. But there's still room left to improve in the Bucks side, we will see on the 3rd game.
I disagree though, the Celtics has been the favorite in the first 2 games so if there will be some scenario in the beginning, it will be Boston 2-0. Fortunately for the Bucks they won the first game and then Boston torching them up in game 2.

I have Miami -7.5, I without Joel it will be the same outcome with another double digit win by the Heat.
I'm not saying though that the Bucks is the favorite to win in this series but yes the Boston Celtics were the favorite to win before the series started but when the Bucks defeated them on the 1st game even if Middleton wasn't around, the air suddenly changed direction and there's a lot of fans as well as bettors that have thought that the Bucks will have a 2-0.
1832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Celtics vs Bucks 2nd round Series. on: May 04, 2022, 06:58:22 PM
Honestly, I was expecting to see another Bucks victory in the second game of the series too. The Celtics victory was a surprise to me truthfully. But now Bucks are going to have two home games in a row. I don't think that Bucks would lose any of them in front of their fans. And they would get ahead 3-1 in the series. And I think that Bucks could win the series like 4-2 at the end. Bucks are normally a quite dominant team against Celtics already.

Who would have honestly thought that the Celtics will dump them with over 20 points, right? Including me, I also expected that the Bucks got this game just like what they've showed on Game 1 even if they are undermanned and they still dominate the Celtics that time. But when the 2nd game began, they showed improvement on how to counter the offensive techniques of the Bucks as well as Giannis that's why they managed to defeat them.
1833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: May 04, 2022, 06:36:26 PM
Anyways, Donaire needs to decide after this fight no matter if he win or lose and if he will still pursue his career even though he is not getting any younger. He is already vulnerable unlike these young boxers who's recover and healing process is somehow shorter.

In fairness to Nonito Donaire, he's not like any boxer that is currently in the retirement period but still showing explosiveness. The fact that Donaire established 2 wins at between 38 and 39 years of age, and take note, it was both 4th round knockout wins, how can we even think that it's time now to hang his gloves.

Actually, from what I see, he just moves forward by having a rematch with Inoue because he won his previous fights and become a champion. For let's say he loses in his last fights, I doubt Donaire will still push on a rematch with Inoue. It means, he knows that he has the power to defeat Inoue regardless of the chance.

The main objective now is how to execute it properly on the day of the fight.
I definitely agree about that, Donaire decides that he will continue to push this rematch because he managed to defeat two boxers with yes a KO in both 4th round in the same year, last year. That feat alone was literally something given his age but his aggressiveness and power definitely doesn't agree with that age because he's still like in his early 30s. But we will see how would this rematch end because if he will win then I guess there's a trilogy but if he loses again then I think there's nothing to look forward to.

1835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: May 03, 2022, 03:52:26 PM
That's the good side now because coach Freddie Roach is handling him closely just like Manny Pacquiao was when he was still starting to build his career in the international level. It's totally fine that they are not impressed by Mark Magsayo because they didn't saw him improved like we did because their eyes is set to other boxers as well, just let them see the weaknesses of Magsayo because eventually he will be known in the industry and defeat bigger names along the road.

More importantly, Magsayo's performance against Gary Russell Jr. shouldn't be the main reference to how he will perform in this upcoming fight against Rey Vargas.

It's not that, at 100%, we can see the same performance done by Magsayo against Russell in this fight against Vargas. Boxers are changing tactics depending on their situation in the ring. Sometimes, there are strategies that will just think automatically by these boxers that are not done in the training. That's why there is a thing called "adjustment".

Mark Magsayo should already know the drill better than us. If others still insist that Magsayo might have a hard time dealing with Vargas since they are not impressed with his performance against Russell, you have to think twice or so be it and wait for this fight to happen.

I agree about that, his performance against Gary Russell Jr. should be the main reference alone as he's still continuing to improve even from that fight. Even Russell Jr. wasn't on his A-game that time that's why people keeps on saying that Magsayo could've knock him down that easily because his opponent is having a hard time. Magsayo is not done too with his career as he is still starting to build his name around the world, not now ofcourse but people will start to know him more as years goes by, I believe that.
1836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: May 03, 2022, 03:34:51 PM
The fate of the Milwaukee Bucks will remain a mystery for most of us because we quite knew that the most chances to win the championship this year is the most healthy team in the league right now, yes the Bucks are quite tenacious in the court but with only Giannis as their stronghold especially without the Middleton who also plays a big role in the team, they are still in a dangerous spot.

Before that's what I'm thinking but today's Milwaukee Bucks is different and not just they truly rely on Giannis' dominance.

There's an improved Jrue Holiday that before, just known for his good defense in the last year's Finals but now stepping up in terms of offense. There's Bobby Portis and Grayson Allen too that are consistent since at the start of the playoffs. Although inconsistent in terms of stats, both Pat Connaughton and Brook Lopez are just doing their respective role like what a good role players should be. That's a big help even what they are doing are not listed on the stat sheets.

Anyways, just an update, Milwaukee Bucks currently have an odds of @5.50 to win the Championship from @6.50 exactly 1 month since this thread was created.

Didn't expect too that they could still dump a double digit lead versus the Boston Celtics, yes they improved more than their performance last season when they highly rely on Giannis's strengths and power alone but now, Jrue Holiday made a show of his own with the help of Bobby Portis and company. What more if Middleton was there playing alongside with the team.

Anyways, still early for these things but it was quite entertaining to see that Bucks can still handle even though they are undermanned.
1837  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: May 02, 2022, 06:10:01 PM
Yes, no one wants to end his boxing career in retirement just after a loss and he wants a grand ending before his retirement.
But psychologically, whether he wins or loses and he's really into that decision of retiring. No one can stop him but it's just a better result if he wins against Inoue so that at least they have a 1-1 record and a win for his retirement.

Adding to that, he will be retiring with a great pride if he beats Inoue on their rematch.

That's another accomplishment adding to his name, another belt to be added. We never know what would be his
next move after this upcoming fight.

Whether he win or lose, if his camp decided to retire, there's nothing to ask from him. He gives the pride to our
country and he will always be remembered as one of pinoys pride from this sport.
Yup, that's self-esteem to him and at least he's able to beat Inoue. He's one of the best boxers that I've ever known too. In this upcoming match, most fans are going to think that it's really his last match.
Whether it approves or disapproves, all of his fans are going to like what he's done for his entire career. And he's going to retire with happiness, maybe even in defeat.

He has to make a decision before this fight, regardless of the outcome, it's good that he will retire so he can enjoy his retirement. We know that when a boxer is not getting any younger, he will be prone to injury, and Inoue is at his prime, a heavy puncher, I hope Donaire will have a good movement so he will not be hurt badly in case he will again lose in this fight.

Or maybe his decision defends the outcome of the fight, just like MP, when he won against Thurman, he still look for a bigger fight, trying to push his limit, but when he lose, he decided to retire, so maybe that's the same scenario we will be seeing after this fight if Donaire wins.
Donaire's situation is not that that the same as Manny Pacquiao's situation back when he is still doing fights because Donaire will be an ordinary man if he decides to hang his gloves while the latter has been more into the world of politics that's why he decided to retire specially that time because he was already a senator in the Philippines, IIRC.

Anyways, Donaire needs to decide after this fight no matter if he win or lose and if he will still pursue his career even though he is not getting any younger. He is already vulnerable unlike these young boxers who's recover and healing process is somehow shorter.
1838  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: May 02, 2022, 05:44:07 PM
It will still be a long journey for him but I'm sure that he could reach Manny's success if he will continue to make his country proud by being dedicated to each fight.
Every boxer dedicates their fight to their country as they are carrying their flag, for Filipino boxers, it's our pride to see a champion fighting, we all have our support but sometimes we cannot avoid from seeing their weakness as well, that is being realistic despite of our support and it's good so that the boxer would know what he has to improve.

I'm sure the camp of Magsayo knows that there are fans that was not impress with his past fights, so hopefully that would motivate Magsayo to improve and deliver a very convincing win.

With coach Freddie Roach as his trainer, fans of Mark Magsayo can be assured that they are going to do what is needed to win his first ever title defense against this dangerous opponent.

For those who are not impressed with Mark's performance against Russell, they should take a closer look at how Magsayo evolved into a better boxer and gave his best to win that belt. He may have weaknesses but we know that their camp is working that and they too study the tape of their opponent so they can exploit Vargas' weakness.
1839  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Shakur Stevenson vs Oscar Valdez Title Unification Fight (April 30) on: May 02, 2022, 05:20:45 PM
^^ The bookies are correct, but it seems we got it wrong though as we are pre-dominantly Valdez, same as the crowd who watches the fight live.

Maybe majority of us here doesn't want to watch a defensive fight, but it's obvious that Shakur skills is superior and he has somewhat power because Valdez was hurt when he was just even grazed by Stevenson.

I would rate Stevenson among the top 5 pound for pound fighters but I find his style to be lackluster. Valdez doesn't have the best defense and can't take a punch very well. This was Stevenson's opportunity to win in spectacular fashion but he chose to go with a safety first approach. As great as Shakur is, I still think he has a long way to go before he is on the same level as Canelo, Crawford and Fury due to his unwillingness or inability to finish fighters.

He doesn't want to gamble because he has to propose to his girlfriend after the win lol.

Kidding aside, yup, that was a lackluster event for Shakur, he could have hurt the smaller Valdez if goes on the offensive mode but he chooses to be defensive even if he can take Oscar's punches.

Devin Haney is on Team Stevenson's radar per his post-fight interview and I think that would be a boring fight because Haney is also a counter-puncher and has a low KO rate.

So, let's hope that Kambasos will beat Haney so Shakur would again fight an aggressive fighter, a real aggressive fighter. Not fun to watch, but there are boxers nowadays that focus more on defense and calculated offense to win, despite the fact that they are boring to watch.

I hope but I'm afraid we will see the same outcome that we saw today. Haney is a good technical fighter as well, he is very smart in the ring and he can score that would convince the judge to give him the win. These defensive fighters are not expected to give toe to toe, unless their opponent is fast enough to catch them, but in the case of Kambasos, I don't think he is fast enough to catch Haney.

That will be the challenge for Kambosos to score on Haney's defensive maneuvers, might be fun and entertaining to see a both aggressive fighters share the same ring but yes, sometimes technical boxers like Haney has the most chances because just as I said, they are more on calculations so that their punches won't go to waste.

On tomorrow's game. Is it the first time that James Harden playing without Embiid? I still trust Harden's offense but it also depends on how Doc Rivers planned the game. But I do hope Doc will let Harden do his thing. I might take a pass on betting tomorrow's games.
They are listed on the bookies with +7.5 spread against the Miami Heat, some will take that spread but same as you, I would pass on their game tomorrow as it's unlikely to predict this game well without Embiid. However I got Phoenix Suns -5.5 for the game later.
