Hi - so I love the concept of being able to split up your hash into different pools, but I'm trying to figure out how this is being done.

Is it more of a "round-robin" setup? -- as I'm not aware of any way to take 100Mh/s of Scrypt hash and just divide it up equally.

Would love to hear more about this unique feature!

The hash is virtually split between coins. The how is proprietary.

283  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [Official] Mintsy.co Thread **News, Updates, Information, Questions** on: March 15, 2015, 03:07:04 AM
I pre-enrolled but never got an invite, are you still sending them out?

Invites are being sent out in batches in the order folks pre-registered.
284  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [Official] Mintsy.co Thread **News, Updates, Information, Questions** on: March 15, 2015, 03:06:16 AM
It's looking good, are there any plans to add a mintsy multipool and/or get auto paid in any currency?  If not, maybe there could be a way to add an external pool that is multi-algo.
Multipool coming soon and likely to the any currency.

If you preregistered keep an eye on your inbox!
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Official] Mintsy.co Thread **News, Updates, Information, Questions** on: March 11, 2015, 11:53:20 AM

Anyone mining with Mintsy?  I've tried it with one A2 terminator (88Mhs) and split the hash among three pools -- but I'm getting only 27% share acceptance.

I did upgrade the PI image so that it supports extranonce and added the appropriate tag to the URL.

Hmm - now as I'm writing this it has gone up to 40% share acceptance.

Anyone with information?

I'm mining POT, NET and then another Scrypt coin on a 3rd party pool.

Sorry to hear you were having issues as the Beta Progresses you should see much improved hashrates and reporting currently the reporting is a tad off.

289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptsy No Fees for USD deposit or withdraw! Numerous Altcoin USD markets! on: December 25, 2014, 08:05:59 PM
I overnighted a cashiers check in the amount of $1000 to Cryptsy on 12/17/14. It was received 12/18/14 and shows as pending. Per my bank the check was cashed 12/19/14. Cryptsy's site states that cashiers checks typically post within 1 day of receipt. I sent a ticket to find out why the money has not posted to my account. (Ticket #170134) No one has responded. I have called the number for the company. No one has responded. I have tweeted and left a comment on facebook. Still no response. I even sent 2 additional tickets. It has been 3 days of no response and the money still has not posted to my account. I have screenshot all the information, as well as, gotten documentation from the bank stating that the check was cashed. If it was going to take longer than 1 day to post, the very least someone at the company could have done was let me know. Instead, I am sitting around wondering what is going on with my funds and why does it not show as cleared, especially when the check has been cashed. I sent a cashiers check about 1 month ago in the amount of $1500 and it posted within 1 day. Has anyone else had this issue with Cryptsy?

Send me a PM with all the info I'd like to get this sorted out ASAP

Gridseed is gone, they  merged with another company

That's horrible news.

Thank you for providing the information above, your XRP deposit will post ASAP.
When?

Quote
Our XRP wallet is back online and all transactions are going through the process.
But the wallet do not work! How long does this process?

Quote
Please allow some time for it to go through.
I'm waiting over 10 Days, that's enough.

I have also escalated your ticket to our

tier two team for further assistance to push your deposit through. Tickets to their

department are answered as they are received, please allow time for them to

receive and reply to your ticket.
I was 8 Days on a 2nd Level Support and without any solution or answer, and now, I'm back at the end of the list, is that a joke?

Your not at the end of any list you sent me your info your on top of mine. The conversation with Mullick is legitimate. Essentially a new server had to be built for rippled most XRP issues should be ironed out in the next 24 hours its downloading the transactions history incredibly slowly...

293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptsy's coin descriptions are outdated... on: November 23, 2014, 11:20:43 AM
Great, here is updated profile for CGB - I will PM you as well BitJohn.

Cryptogenic Bullion Description
Released in late June 2013, Cryptogenic Bullion was designed primarily for the purpose of storing wealth. Cryptogenic Bullion is a second-generation crypto-currency that emulates the properties and supply of gold. It’s the first crypto-currency to display all of the properties of money, while providing the bearer with interest for holding it. It is a descendant of Bitcoin, but employs an advanced security model, which is more efficient and more secure than Bitcoin. The problems of today’s debt based fiat currencies find solutions in cutting-edge decentralized cryptographic currencies like Cryptogenic Bullion.

While Cryptogenic Bullion shares many traits with Bitcoin such as fast global payments, decentralization, pseudo-anonymity, and non-reversible transactions, there are many improvements, which allow CGB to more reliably store wealth. A critical requirement for storing wealth is a low inflation rate. Cryptogenic Bullion is a very rare exception in that it has completed its volatile inflationary stage and settled into its maximum yearly inflation rate of 2%. It also allows prudent savers of Cryptogenic Bullion to earn up to 1.5% annual interest on funds left unspent in their wallets for at least 30 days.

Cryptogenic Bullion Specifications
•   Proof of Work/Proof of Stake Hybrid
•   Algorithm: Scrypt
•   Linear difficulty retarget (every 2 blocks)
•   6 Confirmations
•   60 Second block time
•   1.5% Annual interest earned via PoS
•   PoW subsidy halving after every 50k blocks until perpetual reward of 0.01
•   Target ~1,000,000 CGB
•   0.5% PoW & 1.5% PoS inflation
•   Launched June 2013

Updated can take about 60 minutes to propagate.
294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptsy's coin descriptions are outdated... on: November 23, 2014, 10:11:46 AM
Coin descriptions require lots of man hours to keep up to date. I will gladly update any coin description if a development team submits a new one to me.
295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CLAM COMMANDER. If you owned Bitcoin/Litecoin or Dogecoin... you have CLAM! on: November 23, 2014, 09:57:38 AM
wtf is this, someone please fill me in.

In May of this year, we launched CLAMS.

Before launch, we distributed it all to the community, by sending an even share to each and every non-empty address in BTC, LTC, and DOGE.  We called it "proof-of-chain" - we were the first Grin

Concerning the Cryptsy exchange:

It would mean quite a lot to us, and likely your users, if you chose to make an exception for CLAMS.  We were the first proof-of-chain crypto and it is possible the TOS may very well have even been different for your users at that time.  Of coarse, the administrators control the keys of the exchange wallets.  In the end, the CLAMS that were distributed to those addresses were intended for the users who deserve them.

That said, the liquidity and services offered by the Cryptsy exchange would serve a positive benefit to the existing CLAM community and thus we welcome the addition of CLAMS to Cryptsy.  We would only ask that if Cryptsy chooses not to claim and distribute the CLAMS to their users that there be some respect of the investment others have chosen to undertake.

If the intent is to leave the exchange wallet CLAMS unclaimed; so be it (though we think at bare minimum a middle-ground solution might be to claim and send them to the CLAM Dev bounty fund).  In the end, the person who controls the keys, control the CLAMS.  Regardless of our intent when we sent them, which was clearly to send them to the account holder of the address, not the custodial controller.

Again, regardless of the decision, I think it goes without saying that the Cryptsy platform would provide additional awareness and service for the CLAM community.  Awareness and service that would be kindly welcomed.

Again by policy we will not participate in any snapshot, redemption etc.

28. Staking Interest

Some Cryptsy wallets may provide staking interest rewards. Any staking rewards, conversions, snapshots, or likewise will become the property of Cryptsy.

29. Wallet Public & Private Keys

Wallet public and private keys are the property of Cryptsy. Deposit addresses are used to identify the recipient of crypto currency transfers into Cryptsy. Addresses may be revoked and changed from time to time as required to ensure system stability.

We have no intentions on starting the practice either. There is a simple solution if you become aware of a coin that is going to offer this type of thing withdraw the coin to a private wallet and take advantage.
296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CLAM COMMANDER. If you owned Bitcoin/Litecoin or Dogecoin... you have CLAM! on: November 22, 2014, 11:43:36 PM
To end any discussion that will likely come of it. No, you cannot redeem coin held on Cryptsy as per our ToS. We do not honor snapshots, or anything that involves the private keys etc associated to our wallets.

Everyone is welcome to withdraw coin to their own personal wallets if they wish to take advantage. I see more and more of these types of coins popping up and it is not a practice we will be participating in even if we list the coin.
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: is there a reason why Cryptsy doesn't host ICOs? on: November 22, 2014, 11:38:32 PM

I did pay attention and responded to it on the ones I know more about since some of them you listed I consider successful Coins. I don't need to defend BitJohn, he seems to be pretty good at answering all of your questions on his own.

What is your relationship with BitJohn and Cryptsy? That you think it is necessary to support BitJohn with your posts?

And until now I don't find it very convincing from BitJohn. He only answers short and claims one poster is a troll without posting any evidence. And ok he clarified a few things about CAP which I didn't know. I am grateful about that.

I am still interested in the following:
- What BitJohn thinks about Hazard and his coins , and why he list them as he could be aware that those coins are scam coins?
- Why BitJohn and Mullick left CAP? If the reason is that CAP was a failed experiment, why are failed experiments still listed at Cryptsy?
Hazard was the original coin maker been out of the scene for some time or maybe he goes by a different handle now. Cryptsy was originally intended as a place for miners on Paul's pools to trade coins they mined that could not be traded anywhere. In the old days you would buy, and sell on these boards and lots of folks got ripped off. Anyhow back then there were very few alt coins and there was a big demand from the customer to add coins. Take your investigation to all the old buying selling threads you will see the old wild west.

I supported CAP at the time because it was fair and had stats that I liked. In those days Mullick and I did not work for Cryptsy we volunteered. Cryptsy was a small operation. When we became employees all the side projects and associations became extra work (as it was all volunteer) also made for conflicts of interest so we just removed ourselves from that stuff.

How long do the USD withdraws to eWallet take? I confirmed my withdraw hours ago and it still shows as Pending. Please help

Ill look into it I know they had a small backlog due to a guy being on vacation. Ill see if I can get them processed quickly if there are still hanging.

Thanks, BitJohn. Yes its still hung.

Still Pending. This is starting to make me doubt this service.

Contact support we added an alternative method, also free, for withdraw while we work on the issue with egoPay.
299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: is there a reason why Cryptsy doesn't host ICOs? on: November 22, 2014, 03:03:07 PM
So you helped Kolin with scamcoins then? or invested in them knowing they were a scam and meant to be dumped for profit? I really don't see how that would be any different and which Coins are you referring to? Names and Dates?

You think that people are more interested in my integrity than the integrity of Cryptsy?
Why do you pop up and help BitJohn to distract the attention away from cryptsy with this post?

Or is BitJohn not capable to explain the integrity of Cryptsy by himself?

It's more important that BitJohn explains his relationship with scammers like DI and Spoetnik (and their related coins), than I do
(if I already have a relationship with them as you try to suggest). There are people who trust their bitcoin/money to his exchange.

But if you are really interested in my relationship with DI (and with which coin), I told it two or three posts before in this same thread. Pay better attention Crestington (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=860379.msg9614870#msg9614870).

There really is nothing more to tell your beating a dead fish. There is no relationship. And really this whole chatter is off topic.

Hm off topic? I agree a little bit, but on your "request" I moved the discussion to one thread instead of two:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=858080.msg9604872#msg9604872

A dead fish? According to you the following person has no idea how the altcoin market works?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=599106.msg6592556#msg6592556

To remind you, the first developer of CAP was mullick (who is mentioned in the link of "iGotAIDS").
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=241445.msg2582172#msg2582172

igotAids is someones troll sockpuppet account... Mullick was a developer on CAP after it was released in fact he fixed tons of broken coins before he moved to Florida to work for Cryptsy. Yes beating dead fish...
