maybe this has been answered, why is there a nominee director? ( acting directors are directors, those you pay to be directors for your company are normally called nominees)
284  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: September 02, 2013, 08:39:16 PM
ok, lets entertain the refund idea, we get all batches refunded, how can we then turn those refunded BTC into immediate profits?  What hardware is available immediately that we can purchase?  We need to recover our losses from the delay & assembly not being refunded?  So which hardware is available today that ships immediately?  Is asicminer products available?

best bet is buy bitcoins. next diff can be 80M..
285  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 2 Avalon Batch #2 units running flawless at 84 GH/s, local Gent Belgium on: September 02, 2013, 07:41:23 PM
I am selling 2 Avalons that run perfect at 350 MH/s, giving about 84 GH/s each

They come with the original packaging so I can ship them around but I would prefer a local pickup (Gent, Belgium)

School just started and the room they are in is rented to a student so they have to move.

BTC 50 / each

100% escrow and reasonable price?
286  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [POLL/VOTE] What should Avalon do with our past due orders? on: September 02, 2013, 01:45:21 PM
Why on earth does the most popular choice include the mention of potentially repurchasing/reinvesting again in future?

You were wantonly screwed. This was done on purpose. F*ck in-stock.

Are you lot a bunch of sadomasochists??

Mental.

It says "I might", it's a way of trying to be polite but still get the refund (and then never invest in avalon again)

I don't think the refunds have been offered because people were being polite. Unfortunately polite emails and questions were ignored.

Never invest again... sounds like the right phrase to tag on to that sentence.

Which can be each investors further decision ongoing from this stage.. We got what we wanted didn't we?

No some of us are not getting what we wanted or what was promised and I am not talking a pound of flesh here just some basic communication and refunds for those who have asked for them. I could have waited 1 day, 1 week or more but given there was zero communication for over 5 to 6 weeks I don't think anyone has received what we wanted we certainly had to make a decision about production without any information on our order availability given the months, earlier orders had to wait, we needed protect our customers and pulled the plug, our call definitely but lack of communication led to that decision directly and it is clear this company can't communicate effectively to their customers.

Our group has been waiting now 11 weeks for our chips. No chips, no emails, no refund, no official replies to our communication at all since July 28th when we started asking for information. When you pay 70K to 80K for something you expect a little communication right? There are others in the same boat some even later that probably won't see chips that have been likely sold out from under them to someone else just like everyone else. Buying 10 weeks lead time is our failure. Failing to deliver anything on time is his. Until everyone has their money or chips and has been properly compensated you are right that is when we can review the idea of buying from him. Given this fiasco unless he can fix the customer service end I'd recommend people steer clear. So many more companies are making the effort to do proper customer service so that decision whether or not to buy Avalon will be easier since it just makes sense to buy from people that provide exactly what they promise, on time and to top it off they are polite and communicate with their customers. Not very hard to do actually especially if you are being truthful.

Yes i see what you mean. Getting chips delivered on time, was what we all wanted. But what we definetly didnt want was getting chips after delivery time, and without compensation. I do believe that our grouped efforts (the last spamming his trust feed) made him realise the seriousness of his actions.
So in the rearview mirror, getting the refunds is definetly the best option he has given us now. I believe sebastianju has been refunded half of his batches already, yours has not still been refunded?
287  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: September 02, 2013, 01:40:20 PM
For the record, I emailed SB 3 days ago regarding refunding a batch 5 order that I sold to someone else.  I am keeping my batch 2 order for myself, primarily because of the inability to get back any assembly costs (based on SB's last post).  I have not yet gotten a response, but I am sure SB is aware of everything going on.

Ok but he has said many times that he will not be escrowing any groupbuy purchases between owners. You would need to receive them and pass them to your client (or maybe ship them to the assembler where your client wants them to be shipped)
288  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: September 02, 2013, 11:48:22 AM
Hello all. After some Internet downtime(damn ISPs) and a swift relocation of my batch 3 3module avalon. I have a hard time getting uptime. The ethernet connection is unbelivably slow and disconnects and connects all the time. It took me 2hours to connect it to the WIFI. It was up to about 68gh/s for one hour, and then died. Now im having a hard time acsessing the web interface. Anybody got any idea whats causing this slow/briken connection on the ethernet between my avalon and my ubuntu laptop? thanks.

Make sure you have the avalon only have either wifi or ethernet connecting to the default gateway, if both are on the same subnet, your avalon is trying to connect via both to the outside and that gives weird results.

If you stick to ethernet, remove the wifi support in the interface

That, and i realised if wifi reception is low, somehow after a few hours or days, it just continues to drop connection (read somewhere that wifi card looses power if reception is low). Make sure to use antennae or switch in full to LAN as above poster mentioned.

Lol, this forum is very clever! it has clearly suggested me to ignore all posts by EVE by highlighting it in yellow.
This is great.
291  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASIC Chips (SebastianJu) Batch 6 ordered (Closed) on: September 02, 2013, 11:25:08 AM
Ok great. Lowering to 5% from your previous 9.9% i believe is fair absolutely. (as you won't be doing shipping+handling+getting our payments for shipping fees, but merely repayments).
Thank you for this.
I will definetly send a tip your way, as i have an "unpaid" escrow with you aswell. Smiley
well done.

We are working on the refund situation and will update the thread when we have more information. We are not accepting refund requests at this time. Please show courtesy and respect when posting in our thread, messaging, or emailing us.

"We are not accepting refund requests at this time", well shit it appears I have some bad luck and chose the worst group-buy organizator of all of them.

Dear steamboat, the deadline to get a refund is wednesday. Get a move on. You have some nerve to request a show of courtesy and respect while you can't be bothered to update us maybe twice a week in a time where it matters a lot to be on time with refund requests. You need to step up when tight deadlines are on the table, as SebastianJu and Zefir already noticed that this Wednesday is a deadline for Yifu is receiving chips then. Take them as an example please.

Oh snap, i really hope he's already done at least 50% refund requests without telling us if Wednesday is the deadline.
sadly SteamBoat holds my biggest purchase. And asked for refund on the day Yifu published it.
293  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASIC Chips (SebastianJu) Batch 6 ordered (Closed) on: September 01, 2013, 05:10:15 PM
95% refund like we spoke about in the thread so that i dont sit on the cost and work of the groupbuy.

95% of total order value? i vote for 100% of chip order value, and you keep the 9% markup you collected as that was for your services..
Or was there a vote about this?

Its ok, 5% is enough. I did the work but the 9% were for a successful Mining gear. So i dont want to be greedy now. But thanks for support... Wink
In case someone will give more i have a donation yar in my sig always...  Tongue

So, are we getting 100% of chip order value back, and you keep the 9% extra (that you have already collected)? or are you taking 5% of the refund amounts coming in?
thats quite a markup..

298  Economy / Auctions / Re: [SELLING] Avalon 81 GH/s DECREASING/DUTCH AUCTION 60 BTC START ::EU ONLY:: on: August 31, 2013, 02:32:05 PM
however.. in 30 days, will it be worth 30?
lower your start, and ill see by thursday for next diff..

This depends on the events of the next 30 days. But I don't expect mass shipping from KNC, if that's what you're implying.

sadly they don't need to ship for difficulty to increase. it will be 75 minimum diff. on thursday..

Nobody is emailing steamboat - I am organizing this.

I am not sharing my order details with anyone until steamboat tells me to.
I have told him about my refund request on email, as that is where he normally communicates with his groupbuy members.
