281  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitcasino.io won't let me cashout my money on: February 29, 2024, 09:58:21 PM
No replies from Bitcasino, they are scammer!
Did you write to the casino representative, as suggested by one of the members? Honestly, I thought this was an already closed case after a couple of months without any update from the communication between you and the support.
282  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Upbit-trx.com scam on: February 29, 2024, 09:50:11 PM
OP, sorry about the loss of your funds. I am almost 100% certain that you won't be able to recover those funds now that they are in the hands of the scammers. One of the most important things I have to tell you is that always normalize to ask members here about a service before you send them your money.

As you can see so many members have already pointed out a number of red flags in the shortest time possible.
283  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading software with correct non-time charts on: February 29, 2024, 08:50:34 PM
Honestly, my first time knowing about non-time charts

How about Tradingview. Have you tried to check out their so many publically available scripts like this one - https://www.tradingview.com/script/ygNO2G1V-Tick-Chart/ (tick chart)? Does it have a similar "bug" you described?
284  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Question about futures on: February 28, 2024, 11:48:57 PM
Hey guys!
I have a question... do you think it's a good idea to invest BTC in futures now? With 3x leverage so as not to run as much liquidation risk?

Or do you think it's better to put my €100 in a wallet and wait?

Thank you for the help!
People have different strategies and I suggest you also have your own rather than being told what to do. Both strategies can make money if well executed. Longing at x3 is still high risk. 40K isn't so far away if Bitcoin decided to drop in price. To minimize the loses, you have to deploy proper risk management.

Buying at spot market and waiting it out is much less stressful but require way too much patience.
285  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The Bitmex exchange is a scam. on: February 28, 2024, 09:33:40 PM
I have used Bitmex several times in the past with no issues at all. Could you please confirm if you are from one of the Countries that is not banned from using Bitmex. Anyway, what I expect them to do is at least give you back your funds and lock your account (that is, if you did steal any funds or use any fraudulent means). That's what I have seen other exchange do.
286  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitforex.com goes offline after 55 million withdrawal on: February 28, 2024, 04:08:15 PM
Definitely an exit scam. I always had a bad feeling about that exchange especially for the fact that they would just list even scam tokens without caring. An exchange can just shut down without any update from the team about what is going on

Funny enough is that their token (Bitforex token) just pumped by almost 300% today on yobit. This people joke too much  Cheesy

287  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: WARNING: SOLANA MIXER solanamix.com is a scam on: February 28, 2024, 03:23:47 PM
Site looks pretty legit and they even tricked me. Someone who is pretty experienced with Crypto.
Just because it looks legit doesn't mean it's legit. You should have consulted around first before using it.

How did you find this site?
Finding a mixers from random website, from google and using the mixer is risky. There are many scams around. I hope the loss was not much for you. It's always a lesson anyway.
It looks like he just did a Google search, since Solana has been popular lately. I am seeing one more scam link, though I am hesitant to share them here. I could get banned.
288  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BC.GAME SCAM on SPORTS BETTING $1000 on: February 27, 2024, 03:10:54 PM
I am late to it but let me make a guess.

The OP placed a bet, odd changed from 2.15 to 1.5, the accepted odd was 1.5 and the stake was $1000. But then OP lost the bet. You refunded the bet that was placed instead of making it a loss bet. If this was a winning bet then it does not make sense for OP to be happy with the refund only, he would needed his investment and the profit.
It's the other way round. The odd was 1.5 then it rose to 2.15 around about the same time OP was placing it. The system accepted the 1.5 odd instead of notifying him that the odds had changed. OP lost the bet, but he has been refunded the initial stake given system error which is fair enough.

It disappeared from history as you can see on that screenshots. Luckly I have that screenshot...
Are you trying to say what we are seeing right now in the screenshot completely disappeared afterward?
289  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: February 25, 2024, 09:53:05 PM
What's odd to me is people are afraid of KYC so much. Why? Do any of you think that those evil people who want to steal you identity haven't done that yet? There are so many ways to do it besides asking about it openly on a gambling site, you can't imagine. Just relax, submit KYC level-1 and move, people. Live easier. Smiley
I wouldn't blame them. They are just privacy conscious. Some of these platforms may not have ill intentions, but sometimes how the user data is kept could a problem. It could lead to identity theft or data leaks, which can put a user in great danger.

The chaps who value their privacy so much should completely stop using centralized services if they don't want to go through the headache because those services all eventually collect the data
290  Economy / Lending / Re: In need of a loan on: February 25, 2024, 08:52:04 PM
That was a dumb move if you really lost $5,000 in "up-front" fees.
$5,000 can be a good amount to get your life started.

Anyway, how much is your collateral, and what is the worth of the loan you are seeking? Since your account is brand new. A lender will only provide you a loan here if you have valid collateral. If you don't have any valid collateral. Don't bother expecting your loan request to be approved or fulfilled.
291  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BC.GAME SCAM on SPORTS BETTING $1000 on: February 25, 2024, 08:36:30 PM
The bet was placed because you clicked on the screen to bet it.
Now unlike Stake, this provider (same provider for BetFury and others) only refuses your bet if the odds go in your favor.

For instance, you try to risk $1,000 on 1.50 and then the odds drop to 1.20 then the the bet wouldn't be accepted and the system would ask you if you wish to proceed with this new price.

However,

With this provider if the odds go against you and you chose to place the bet at 1.50 despite the fact that after a mili second the odds changed from 1.50 to 2.15 - then it's unfortunately too late and you would have to accept the fact the click of the mouse to submit the bet was accepted by the provider and that's what happened here.

Yes, it is annoying, but unfortunately their system doesn't refuse bets if the odds go against you, only if the odds go in your faovr then you have the option to re-accept the bet.

I don't know if Rollbit uses the same provider or not, but they won't accept your bet if the odds rise or drop. An alert will be issued once the odds change, and you have to accept the new changes before you can place a bet. That's what I have always known happens

Selectively accepting or rejecting odd changes is definitely unfair IMO.
292  Economy / Reputation / Re: Users who spread false/fake/unhelpful information on technical board on: February 25, 2024, 09:26:29 AM
I was surprised by the amount of BS in SamReomo's post on the tech board. Context: a Newbie asked for help with long-term Bitcoin storage.
Ironically, about a month ago, he posted this in this very thread  Grin
293  Other / Meta / Re: TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk on: February 25, 2024, 09:19:16 AM
No and no. So far the site is all goods now in mobile, idk later in desktop and thanks for the respond.
If the problem persists on your desktop, try checking if there is an add-on or extension interfering with the way the site loads. You can open a new window in Private or incognito mode and try visiting the site once again.
294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 24, 2024, 09:59:44 PM
Arsenals winning goal margins in the Premier League are pretty impressive lately. Yet another high scoring match tonight for Arsenal. They just need to keep the momentum up if they are to give Manchester City a run for their money

295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The shocking rate of women interested in gambling. on: February 24, 2024, 09:39:54 PM
They are also human, aren't they?

Things have now changed with movements like "woman emancipation" where it's now normal for women to participate in certain activities that were considered a taboo for them in the old centuries. Women are also out there trying to look for money from different avenues to make ends meet, unlike the old days when bread winning was solely for men in most societies. So I am not surprised if there is an increasing trend of female gamblers.
296  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining recommendations on: February 24, 2024, 11:10:22 AM
Why are you wasting time looking for "cloud mining" sites?
Your chances of getting scammed or never getting back the expected profit are pretty close to 100%. If you can't mine using your own hardware, just buy the coins you see have high potential in the next bull run, keep them in a secure noncustodial wallet, wait till the price rises and you cash out.
297  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BC.GAME SCAM on SPORTS BETTING $1000 on: February 23, 2024, 12:15:59 PM
I think I'm getting to understand your case fully right now, and for me I think if only you can proof that your complaint was made before the game was played and you lost it, then you truly deserve your betting refund (i.e $1000),  But if the complaint was made after the game got played and you lost it, then... (I reserved my comment). And I think it's at this point, I let the casino representative do this job regarding this case, as I'm really interested in this case and will love to see how it ends. However, I'm wishing you good luck.
Whether the bet was lost or not. IMO, it's still not ethical to accept a bet that has an old odd when odds have already changed because it can later on cause issues. Let's put it the other way round. What if the odd had dropped from 1.5 to 1.2, OP stakes 1,000 and potential win is 1,500 according to the old odd instead of 1,200.

Do you think the sportsbook would stomach that? Personally, I don't think so. They would consider the bet void due to a system error and probably just refund the initial stake.
298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Participation in Miner pools on early stages in beneficial or not?? on: February 23, 2024, 11:59:30 AM
As far as I can tell, that's not real mining, mate. They are more like Ponzi schemes or pyramid schemes, which in the end will just exit and scam users. Crypto involves use of mining hardware and software. If you want to mine crypto, you must buy mining gear such as ASICs or GPUs, not sending BNB to a pool and then think that you will get rewards out of it
Be careful, my brother.
299  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BC.GAME SCAM on SPORTS BETTING $1000 on: February 23, 2024, 10:16:01 AM
As far as I know, when one is placing a bet and the odds change during the process. A prompt pops up informing the user that the odds have changed and asks if they would still accept the new odds and proceed.

I read the conversation between you and one of the support assistant and the way they responded does not give any confidence. Seems to be something like language barrier or not properly understanding the complaint. I believe their support in the forum will help follow up and give a better answer. Just be patient, OP.
300  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [EXTENSION] bitcoindata extension for bitcointalk on: February 23, 2024, 10:02:51 AM
Testing: Posting this because it looked distorted in the preview tab

Another great one @bitmover. This one will make it easier to post live prices instead of one first having to load the site

clarification regarding address balance

Code:
[url=https://bitcoindata.science/bitcointalk-api.html#address-balance][img height=16]https://bitcoindata.science/api/addressbalance.php?address=***YOUR_ADDRESS***&currency=USD&hex=f8f7f7&bold[/img][/url]

Code:
***YOUR_ADDRESS***
Does one have to replace the stars/asterisks too with the address? Or does the address go in between the asterisks?
