281  Other / Meta / Re: Anyone experiencing slowdown using Tor? on: July 04, 2019, 12:58:55 AM
the problem with tor:

your connection is only as fast as the slowest link in your connection path.

As more and more people are stuck with at most 20mbps upstream (typically 10 or less);  it compounds across users during the ingress and egress of your packet through the tor network.

Wouldn't just using the Coinbase VISA card accomplish the same thing? Maybe fees higher, and you'd need a physical card, but otherwise isn't it essentially the same?

The shift card service was cancelled a month or two ago.

They are most-likely working to form a new scheme for having the service.

I will admit;  the market-rate zero-fee purchases with the original shift card were superb.

I literally lived off mining profits for over a year using it.
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BUBBLE || alpha software in testing demo up big news on: July 04, 2019, 12:48:50 AM
Hello all

I will like to ask.

Is this project abandoned?

Unfortunately, this seems to be the case. I will not be deterred though. I will keep trading the coin and acquiring a bit as I grow the value for the benefit of our business in the long run. For now, we are using more of the second coin.

yeah.  Mick does work in spurts when he gets the chance (from my interactions in the past).

I have now updated and synced 5 separate wallets, and put another one up on one of my my main servers to act as a node staking ~90K coins.

Im very disturbed at yobit;  The yobit wallet went back offline again shortly after posting that screenshot from cryptobe.

Here's something else interesting:

the cryptobe site only showed a proper block count while yobit was screwing with trying to get their wallet online.   As soon as they took their wallet back offline, the cryptobe site no longer was synced with the network.

I think yobit and cryptobe are controlled by the same people and it might help narrow down who controls yobit....
284  Other / Meta / Re: [BAN] Deleting Bounty Topics on: July 03, 2019, 07:00:19 AM
*snip*

For my team a huge portfolio was banned and I want the moderators to tell me the reason

If you were to visit the reference link on your banned account related to the negative trust; you get this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5114258.0

If you were to examine the evidence provided you will come to the same conclusion as many others, same as myself after reviewing the details:  It is a scam and is citing fake partnerships that simply are un substantiated and do not exist.

In short: You are promoting what is believed to be a scam.   This is the reasoning.  It is clear.

Remember:  Moderators deleted the threads;  all related to that scam... so the reasoning hasn't changed... and you are wasting their time by asking.  I was even able to find your answer just like the person responding above.

You can be as upset as you want at others responding to you, but you put it out there.  You should think about accepting the answers you are given... because apparently the deleted topics and ban from the moderators aren't helping you understand.  And you are given a reason for the ban in the email... it is there.

I suggest you be weary about asking people to go use a service unless you yourself understand the implications of doing so and who you are leading them to.   To wear their logo is one thing;  to ask them to use is quite another.

To begin, I would like to remind you that I did not ask you to write your opinion. I asked to answer moderators. So please, if you can not give an answer or are not a moderator, no longer write in the topic where they are not addressed to you.

he gave you an answer...... and it upset you.

This is a public forum.   PM a mod for a private chat.

It was pretty hilarious; a friend who hadnt talked to me in a year or two, recently sent me that link ans asked if it was me......  gave me a good laugh...

I'm quite confused. Is JaredKaragen == OP or he's just trying to give info / ss for Coinbase legit login page?

Seems like jackg is asking one thing while Jared is talking about another.

I responded to OP.  Gave serious advice that another person after me gave as well.

I then provided a photo because someone asked for a photo of the login page.

I then corrected the photo to a link as per request.

I just wrote this post.

Hopefully that helps.  Everything is to be taken with context to the original question, and my response to it.

my buddy wants to send me a couple S9 SE's from Australia....  IF that happens I may actually put another ASIC back online sometime soon...

I do plan on jumping on an R606 or two when I have the spare funds.   Wanna get a few lottery machines set up for my parents;  they have 5.8Kw of grid tied solar at home, and I would use it to run them during the day while charging a battery, and at night, it would run off the battery not taking from the grid like the house does Wink

When I get one to keep at home;  Ill actually work out a battery/charge controller/solar/inverter setup sized to handle a single R606;  This way you can set up an independent 'satellite' miner system similar to the setup my buddy and I had come up with for GPU rigs in 2017.... if you hook it to Wifi;  it would be completely wireless and independent.

These are the exact posts I want to report....
but for all I know;  its a person with low levels of schooling or English language knowledge....   Its close enough to make me not want to issue an un-just report....

Just report them, you'll automatically notice when a person who's bad at English puts effort into his/her posts.
It's the content that matters, not the way it was written.

These examples clearly do not make any sense, so feel free to report anything that looks similar to this.

yeah;   I have the urge often to report what I feel like are "circle jerking" posts of supporting opinions;   I saw threads with a lot of 'Veil' sig wearers doing this....  but half of their post history looked legit.

Ill just click the report button, and give a comment anyways;  I just don't wanna put more unnecessary work on the plate of mods cause they have a hard enough time sometimes dealing with the blatantly obvious stuff.

I do like the forum signup tainted IP fees; maybe banned poster IP lists can be incorporated into that taint list as well.  It's still a flawed design for the long term, but it really cuts down on the crap for now...
I have a similar scheme on all my personal servers;  except if you ever hit my shitlist (for example you try one incorrectly made request to an SSH port for instance) your IP is perma-banned for life....   The number of daily intrusion attempts went from tens of thousands;  to literally just a few if any each day.   I know for a fact many major tor nodes and VPN endpoints are blacklisted by means of this;  which I am fine with.

It looks just like the one they launched a few months ago. Best of luck to the accounts of those who will participate.

It really seems the same with the one who caused  numerous spams across the forum, but as I have read the conditions it is somewhat has been updated.though I still don't like their daily maximum quota. Even if they've set
the ranks on who can just participate, I don't think spam will be avoided. I think they should also limit their participants and not just by counting anyone who wears their signature.

Will try this Signature Campaign for only 4 hours until I get some confirmations about the payment. If this is said to be legit then I might try to participate here also. Lets just hope shitty bastards who'll abused this campaign once again gets a perma-ban instantly.

Edit:
Withdrawn from using Signature. Just found an issue that the campaign is still offline, therefore payments aren'yt yet guaranteed.

The hero members were confirming though. I'm about to join the campaign. I'm not going to spam at all of course I will participate to have a fruitful fud in the forum Smiley

Condition state that - Personal stats updated every 3-4 hours. Do we receive the coins after 4 hours? Let us know.

usually it was see it in your owed balance; the click the send to wallet button and prey that it refreshed the page showing your balance transferred.

any campaign that requires a weekly minimum and has no maximum post count;  shouldn't exist.  It muddies the waters spam-wise.

I am very new to this group. I think this is the right place to post this, if not I'm sorry.

I tried to link my bank account with coinbase and they asked for my Login/Password for my online banking? It just felt wrong. The first thing people are told is not to give this info out. Is this something I should be ok with? I know coinbase is one of the biggest. Like I said it just felt wrong...

Obviously no, we shouldn't give our bank credentials to anyone.

Didn't try linking my bank account to Coinbase since our country is not supported so I don't know how's their process. In the usual process of linking bank accounts to exchanges, payment processors or any related service, it should be done by just giving the bank account number and some basic info, etc., that's it. And if let's say, you really need to log in your details, it should be done in a separate tab directly at your bank's server.

Out of curiosity, can you provide a screenshot of that login/password part?

I like open air and most of my GPUs rigs in the past were all open air, but I agree with the above poster.

Enclosed and closed GPU rigs are better because in the summer the heat won't stay in your house, you basically just use a tube and force the air outside.

With Antminers its easy to force the air outside, you just zip-tie some tubes to the exhaust fans and you are done but you can't do that with a GPU rig thats open air. You can put a fan in front of it and put it next to the window but some of the heat will enter the house. Only way to do it right is to put it in a server 4U chassis and all the heat, except maybe the heat of the case will be exhausted outside and you save on AC costs from heating up your home.

using a short length of dryer ducting; if the inlet is long enough with a few bends, the hum is completely missing.  with the same on the outlet, you can plumb it right to an external vent.   I was able to run an S7 in an RV I lived in;  for over a year.  Never heard it;  Just kept an eye on it.

rock.... hard place....   Im not sure on what level we should start enforcing it;  At one level;  people supporting each others perspectives or giving their own is ok...   but where do you draw the line?

The language barrier potential can be quite an impact on the interpretation of the post......   I don't want to be flagging people for using improper English or sentence structures....

I do have 100% accurate report history; and typically when I report someone;  if its not quite so obvious, I look at their post history for any irregularities.

no; you want to focus on making sure you only submit info directly to coinbase.

The only thing they will do is ask for an account and routing number.  Also verify with the bank the KYC credentials match.

You should only be linking bank accounts from coinbase.com;  not any email link or anything....  if you are worried;  do a full signout on coinbase, and sign back in;  and it should ask you to do your 3 factor auth to login (email link, text code, and password to login).   This way you are sure you are logging into the real coinbase.

you can also check domain records for coinbase's public IP and visit that directly under HTTPS. (104.16.53.46 is the IP I see here in California)

You should NEVER follow someone else's instructions anywhere at any time to log into your bank account.   if you have;  change your password and other relative info right away.   You can only link with an account/routing number from your check or that the bank itself gives you in person, and I believe they have you verify two microdeposit amounts to be sure you control the account.  The only thing you may need to submit is for KYC (passport/ID photo, etc)...

I have >100,000 daily limits after enough purchases and sells;  I have a linked CC, Debit and bank account....  doing none of which required anything but me filling stuff out in my coinbase config/settings page and submitting photo ID.

You can say something bad about every single exchange.   And those binance trading competitions encourage pump and dumps.

Since Binance is the #1 exchange by volume:
https://coinjazeera.news/binance-chain-czs-final-scam/
But don't forget you also will get attention just because of wearing yobit which might get look to you as spammer. But I am not saying anything personally.

TBH:  ICCL about someone being "upset" that i got paid to wear a yobit slogan....    Even in the two "trust reports" against me;  if you follow the chain of where they originate;  you find me speaking nothing but calm logical truth and fact, and the others being upset and hurt that they made a mistake and can't get compensated... especially in a timely manner...  you also find me being very clear about my stance on yobit;  even as far as to tell people to be careful about depositing funds;  that nobody really knows who is running it;  and that the only thing I ever advocated setting up an account for was to take some of the actually valuable freecoins they gave out now and then.    I got several ETC for free from that page... Just click once every 24 hours....

But in no way have I defended yobit any further then to show my interactions and dealings with making deposits, withdrawls, or investments from what I have had personally over the years...  I would only defend as far as to stay equally objective when trying to verify that yobit is actually scamming people.  99% of the interactions ended with me finding either people: deposited to the wrong wallet type, deposited to an offline wallet without verifying first, deposited ETH smartcontract tokens when yobit did not support them, some sort of spyware/malware/browser extension would steal their coins, their password got hacked, or they fell for a telegram/fake URL/fake support link asking them to deposit multiple times to get a refund/return.

Their investbox is and always has been 100% a trap.   Only the whales make anything substantial if at all from it;  aside from yobit.
296  Other / Meta / Re: Yobit spam on the forum on: June 26, 2019, 12:34:33 PM
I was on the original campaign...

Put my sig back up for 2 days;  no change on the yobit site, nothing.   fuck em.  They lost me as an advert.
As far as I know, Yobit's campaign is automated. Once you join and delete your signature, they remove you from the campaign.
If your signature was removed by theymos, that means Yobit kicked you out. If this is true, all former Yobit campaign participants can't join again. They played themselves Tongue

I sincerely doubt in on the shitlist...  Nothing in my history has dictated it...  feel free to look for yourselves.  As for  automated;  i'm not sure bout that.  My 1-2 day test showed me it wasn't automated..

I just ended up finding out the sig was banned when i noticed it had been changed one day... no alerts from anywhere/anyone about it prior to it happening as well.... no bans on me,  or anything of the sort;  just an auto-changed signature due to the yobit temp-ban on sigs....

FYI I did no such abuse of the campaign.   The funds to pay participants were topped up less and less often.  went from a month, to two, then 6 months+.....  the lack of answered tickets is quite another thing as well.  I have my own scars from that one.

I am reading this thread since I got out of my last signature and have done an experiment I hope I will not get the ire of anyone here this is just an experiment and I think there is an error in their signature I am a full member yet they accepted my UID I done 5 post surprisingly they credited me with hero rank rate but you cannot transfer your signature earnings to your btc balance so for now the signature page is not active

note will remove this code as I'm still looking for a good one

when I start xmr stak jk 2.10.5 there is the missing dll error, LIBEAY32 and SSLEAY32

I forgot to include them in the package, you can download an older copy from here and copy the two files, or you can download the original build from github and copy them from there...

they are just the SSL libraries.
299  Other / Meta / Re: DDOS? on: June 25, 2019, 01:24:20 AM
I'm also having that issue before. It's probably caused by this Cloudflare route leak incident https://www.cloudflarestatus.com/incidents/46z55mdhg0t5. A lot of other websites affected by this too.
I wonder if traffic is being routed through China (again). This is what happened not long ago when some of the routing tables got messed up for a short time.

This was the first thought on my mind;  or the govt in the US re-routing to their data storage centers or something....  But wouldn't put it past the Chinese to do something funky again.....

It was definitely a blacked out access period to that and a couple other sites....  but came back ~2 hours later.

Found this thing on Amazon UK...

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Codegen-600mm-4U-Rack-Mount/dp/B008IB9TFA/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=codegen+4u&qid=1561375860&s=gateway&sr=8-1

How much modding would you think is necessary to accomodate 6 GPUs? It's ATX compatible, if the front bays are removable (looks like they should be) one can just stick 120mm fans in there. I suppose the only thing would be a transversal bar to fix the GPUs at the front (and maybe a second underneath to support them on the risers)?

That looks a lot like the Rosewill case. There is a mining version of it:

https://www.amazon.com/Rosewill-Rackmount-Solution-Building-Ethereum/dp/B074F4CXJX

I use the old 4U Rosewill cases for some of my miners along with custom aluminum frame to support the GPUs and fans (front exhaust). I will try to dig up a link for the guy who makes them.

EDIT:
Here is that link for the drop in bracket for the Rosewill case:

http://spotswoodcomputercases.com/wp/?page_id=9176

100% behind spotswood's frames.   I bought one for my D8P and couldn't have been happier.

Be sure to check the case depth (front to back) as there are a few models/lengths of that case, and depending on what GPU's you use, you may or not have room for everything (figuring in PSU and motherboard depth) unless you get the big long 4U case.
