281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Crypto coin Do You Gamble with the Most? on: July 12, 2023, 05:26:20 PM
I have always preferred Dogecoin and to a lesser extent Litecoin. These coins are not worth as much. If you gamble with Bitcoin and go on a bad losing streak you could lose a lot of money. Cheaper coins allow you to try riskier strategies while risking less money. I only gamble for fun so it doesn't matter if I lose a small amount of Doge. With Bitcoin even losing a few sats can feel bad because of how much work I put into acquiring it.
Dogecoin is pretty classic when it comes to crypto gambling. Long time ago, lots of my co-gamblers are using it and they bet crazily high amounts like a million or two. Dang, imagine if they still have it and sold by the time DOGE skyrockets? Those peeps must be a billionaire now. And of course the next to DOGE would be Litecoin. Even up until now, these two coins are still two of the leading which are being used the most of the crypto gamblers.

It is still possible to use a small amount of BTC, equivalent to the amount we use when we play using DOGE and LTC. Maybe the feeling of losing more is only due to the high transaction fee of BTC, add in that the coin can rise quickly sometimes.
282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How is your Gambling Pattern Like? on: July 12, 2023, 04:48:30 PM
Putting some limits will not hurt anyone, especially in the gambling industry which is mostly addictive for many players. My opinion can be simply elaborated with few lines, just don't pay attention to the patterns and change the game style to avoid getting caught by casino AI. It is not something that can be proven but surely many gamblers can talk about the weird feeling after losing big. Something goes wrong and you keep increasing the bet size to recover as fast as possible which never happens for obvious reasons. That bad feeling when you are winning can be controlled with mastering yourself and teaching your body or mind the succesfully mindset. Patterns will not give gamblers any advantage btw.
Well, less is more as they say so yeah it does not hurt but it was only beneficial to us most especially if done here in gambling. When we say pattern, it does not literally mean the things that we do when betting but it can also mean like a lifestyle of a gambler like what the OP is talking about. It sometimes better to have a fixed pattern so that we can do things right away.

We won't be confused anymore or waste time. Some says it's bad to do when betting because the casino is like monitoring our moves but there are no real evidence to back this statement. I still believe that casino doesn't control anything and everything works in random as long as it's legit of course.
283  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A opinion on regrets on: July 11, 2023, 05:30:10 PM
we use the mistakes that have been made to revise ourselves, so that later we don't do the same thing again. it is true that no one has never made mistakes, but not everyone can learn from their mistakes to improve self-quality. therefore don't be afraid to make mistakes, but make mistakes as an experience, isn't that what can make us greater is a lot of experience
That is because to change is not easy once we are already hooked on one thing. That is why some just accept their fate. Well, that's their life. We can't do much about it if that was their decision. The only thing that we can do is to focus more on our selves, on how can we improve it more even if it's already at a good state.

We should be afraid to make a mistake because like you said earlier, not all have the ability to correct it. I guess we know our selves more so maybe it will still depend on us. It is still possible to build an experience even if without committing a mistake first. We only need to be more wise and learn from others.
284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How real? That football players required to bribe before they are allowed to play on: July 11, 2023, 04:46:00 PM
This is not rare at all and while it did not happen to me this happened to a friend of mine, he was really good at soccer back in our younger days and I really thought he had what it was needed to become a pro at some point, however when I asked him if he had any chance to go pro he told me he was asked for a huge sum of money in order to get the chance he needed, and since he did not had it then he never got a chance.

So it does not surprise me to read this has happened to many other people, what is surprising is that it happened to one of the players which could be considered to be the very best at the moment.
Even if let say your friend has that huge sum, I think there is still no guarantees that his career will last long and we are not sure if he will make it to the real pro scene as it looks like the club he was applying at is only just a scam. A legit club won't ever ask for money but they will only hire the players once they saw a potential from them and they still can make money once the team starts to play on higher tiers.

The pro players that are now known do also start small and there are also clubs which offer them that kind of deal so it wasn't shocking at all. They only ignore it and move on to the other legit clubs to successfully pursue their career.
285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: would you play more on casino when your country plans to ban BTC? on: July 11, 2023, 03:42:19 PM
Why would anyone play more on a Bitcoin casino when the law of the land is planning to ban Bitcoin? In such a situation, it is better to keep holding them in a non-custodial wallet until the government changes the decision or you find another way to continue gambling. I do not agree with going against the law as if caught it will cause serious repercussions to you and your family. If you still want to gamble then use local fiat on an online casino to feed your addiction. I would not want to take in stupid risk and destroy my present, I will always find alternate ways to continue with what I was doing before the ban.
They are still planning it which means Bitcoin casinos are still there and then people might still be allowed to play. If that is the case then I will surely play more using my Bitcoins because this might be the last time that I can do this. I think you are not safe even though you will transfer your Bitcoins in a non-custodial wallet so I won't advise doing that.

It would be better to use all your Bitcoins or convert them into other legal assets. Just re-invest in Bitcoin later on if they will be allowed again in your country. Non-Bitcoin casinos are still there but many of us here are not a fan of them. We can only look at the bright side and that is we won't lose our money anymore and possibly threaten ours and the others lives through Bitcoin gambling.
286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Olympic Games, but doping is allowed?! on: July 11, 2023, 02:44:49 PM
the president of "the Enhanced Games" believes that this competition could unlock the athlete's true potential and will obliterate all the world record that has been set in the Olympic games. from what I have read in an article, they are planning on launching this event next year in December.

now, the reason why I post this here is because since a lot of sports bettors here love sports I am curious about what you guys think about it and whether this would be a new sporting event that will be enjoyed by sports betting enthusiasts.

personally, as a person who likes sports, I am curious about what this new sporting event that allows the usage of performance-enhancement drugs could lead to.
Most of us are not into illegalities but let's admit it, this still sounds interesting isn't it? It's like it was some sort of an exhibition match/games but better than it because there is no strict rules and participants are allowed to use drugs.

Maybe there are surprising acts that will happen if its telecast live like players are going to end up hurting each other, I mean for real and then people around like the referees, judges and the viewers are going to get harmed by them because we know what can drugs do to the mind of the person who are taking it especially if it was takin by a bigger volume. This could likely happen since the aim of each participant here is to win.
287  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does Trade have types? on: July 11, 2023, 04:21:56 AM
Almost everyone stated about the types of trading in cryptocurrency space and those are the actual types too but I didn't see about copy trading here or atleast I missed it so it is also a type too in my opinion which involves simply copying the strategy of other and execute our trades so no efforts but complete risk taken on someone's success rate.

From all these types we can simply point which is better and suitable for anyone that is long term spot trading cause its simple, less risky than others and we can have our assets in our wallet itself.
I think I know why they didn't state it. Its because they don't consider it as one. Even me actually, it didn't came in my head at first but when we say types of trade, the first thing that I can think of are the spot trading and futures trading.

There is also day trading, short-term and long-term trading. Copy trading is more on the technique side. In copy trading, there might still be an effort involved and that is we research the platform first if it's credible and then we move on to researching the background of the traders. This was still easier than learning how to trade on your own and choosing the right strategy to make you a profitable trader. No wonder why many people are doing it.
288  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which is better to invest in copy trading or bot on: July 10, 2023, 03:19:12 PM
I would say just hold your 4K bitcoin because that’s pretty good amount if you look by the perspective of % gain over the period of time. As you know yearly hikes for the bitcoin could range from 50-200% or more. May be more I think because we have seen miraculous price hikes for a period of the one year or so. I think best advisable thing is to hold only. You will end up in unsecured investment if you do it on the bots. They are not sure shot way of making proper trades. They are sometimes just product which are getting sold in the name of making profits for you. So just be cautious while taking all the decisions.
I agree with your advice, for a newbie with no knowledge of trading, its best he stays away from it and just holds his bitcoins. Holding is not only safe, but it can also be more profitable than trading. Of course, if he is passionate about trading, he can start, but let's start with the knowledge not to seek to copy signals from others or use bots.

I sincerely advise OP not to trade without any knowledge, honestly, I have not seen anyone who can make a profit from copying others, it's all scams.
Even for a veteran, copy trading and trading with or without a bot is still a lot riskier than investing. Given that there is also a risk in investing therefore I won't call it safe. Profitability will depend on the person. No matter what they do, whether they invest or trade but if their skills are still low, they won't still make a good amount of profit.

Having a passion for one thing is important and we don't just force our selves to like them because we won't still be successful at them. Copy trading might only be for the lazy while using bots can sometimes be for the person who are busy. Not all copy trading are scam. Maybe you are not only aware that some are earning on them.
289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Arb below 1$ on: July 10, 2023, 02:14:34 PM
The circulation of supply from ARB is still relatively small, because I see in coinmarketcap only 1,275,000,000 ARB are currently circulating,
and of course the price below $ 1 is still quite expensive, try to compare it with some altcoin projects that have a large supply such as ARB,
then you will know how the ARB is supposed to be.
considering the fact that this coin was massive at the release, current market capitalisation is still relatively low.
I just think it highly undervalued. its not even in the top 10.
Given that it was massive before then I won't say that it was undervalued. To be on top 10 isn't easy but a coin may need to prove itself first if it was truly worthy and not just good at hype. They say that low-cap coins are risky but it made sense because the reward that entails on them are also huge.

ARB already received a good feedback from the public, so if we are into low-cap coins, we can check this one out and we are sure that we are safer to it compared to some low-cap coins out there who are not been properly rated yet. That is because they are not that popular as ARB. This is what they say that a big budget is necessary when creating a coin so that we can avail to market our project easily in different platforms.
290  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Things that influence our trading decisions on: July 09, 2023, 06:28:11 PM
There are a lot of things that influences our trading decision. Some of the factors which you have mentioned can also positively influence our trading decision. They are not bad in themselves I think it depends on the right timing of their application. This is one of the reasons why every newbie trader must spend some good time in the demo trading environment and also every newbie trader should not be a loner but being part of a community of other traders. By being a part of this community which is the fastest way to learn from the mistakes of others because I believe that other traders would share their good stories and their bad stories and we can learn from it.
If we put them in good use yes. Timing is important in trading because the market is fast-moving. I heard lots of negative feedbacks about demo trading so I think it's better to practice in real-time but we can still be able to use smaller amounts.

It's not wrong to be a loner. It's a common personality of some people but if you think you are experiencing some problems then it's better to have someone to talk to so that they can give you advices and encouragement. Bitcointalk is a great community but it's still up to the person's ability to adapt and improve. Sometimes we can only change if we commit the mistake and not by learning it from others.
291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Discussion - Being an Active Poster in the Gambling Board on: July 09, 2023, 03:26:45 PM
I can't enumerate what I've learned in this section, but there were many times I'm reminded of some basic gambling truths here. I'm sometimes reminded for example that there is really no winning strategy in gambling.

There are also games or matches that I forgot but I'm reminded about when I see the discussion thread here. There are also many advice here regarding gambling. Overall, this section helps me in my gambling experience but not in a way that I'm now making more money.
That is because Bitcointalk is a large forum and there are lots of active members here who make gambling threads from time to time to ensure that all members are aware about the do's and don't of gambling. With the total number of threads that are already created, I don't think there are still some things that are missing.

So, if we have a concern about gambling, let's make it habit to use the search function of the forum and I'm sure you will always found what you are looking for. It's hard to make more money in gambling. The only best thing that we can learn about gambling from this forum is how to reduce the risk of losing and becoming an addict to it.
292  Economy / Economics / Re: Getting an MBA before starting a company or directly starting a company? on: July 08, 2023, 06:28:20 PM
without a strong foundation it will be difficult to build a start up and an MBA is a good foundation for someone to start a company, maybe there are some people who without an MBA are able to make their company grow big, but can everyone do that? there is nothing wrong with starting a business directly without an MBA, but the struggle required is very heavy, even management knowledge is mandatory to master. My senior kept telling me not to be hasty in starting something, first strengthen the foundation and mentally.
But without a strong foundation or a strong knowledge, I don't think it's easy for one to handle an MBA course. Another requirement would be money and we know that not many are fortunate to have that both, which is why they will just start their business immediately with only minimal knowledge and money on their head and hand. They can still be successful if they get lucky but if they fail, they can still learn from it and try again.

I too believe that not all who have an MBA course are successful on their business. Sometimes knowledge is not enough but other traits are necessary too. Skills for example and then passion for the thing that interests us.
293  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the bull run near already? on: July 08, 2023, 05:58:45 PM
Bull run is alot slower then people expect or hope for.  BTC moves in fast sprints perhaps of just an hour or so and then it wanders around for weeks or months at a time scaring some out to sell.  Then it can rise again, some will miss the rise because they sold during the wait.
I think we can pullback to an area closer to the 50 day average which is about 28k today, thats not too far in theory but also its the other side of the line we've been holding over two weeks now.  The Fibonacci line for ATH to the low is nearby and thats the level we sit on today.   I think perhaps we can breach that, certainly for hours, maybe days but will we close a week below that level Im not sure.   It seems certain we have to check for weak holders, make them sell then rise thats somehow natural process of the market its not wanting to make things too easy.
It's because of the saying that "The more you expect the longer the thing will come" But if only these people take it easy and won't think of the bull run, maybe it already happened last time. They also say that "If there are winners, there will also be losers" This is the reason why BTC need to act like the one you're telling.

We might feel guilty about it but I think that is better than if you are the ones who will lose or you won't earn anything at all. The price of BTC is still standing strong at $30k therefore I don't think we can get on that $28k you were assuming. At least not today but we don't know maybe we will get there soon if there is a strong negative news that will come.
294  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The price dropping, any reason the huge dump? on: July 08, 2023, 04:39:20 PM
Drop isn't new in the market, just consider it as free fall as everything happens here - up and down. And it was not the thing we worried about but rather think that this is really how the market works. Might be because of the SEC, some FUDs, negative news, etc - all of them are a sort of manipulating factor that would affect the price but just believe that Bitcoin won't go that low anymore that we must be worried off, better make this a reason to buy more the same thing that the others did.
True and even in the time that cryptos are not yet here, drops are already happening in the stock and other markets. The term free fall you use there is related to gravity but that is only natural while in the financial markets there are manipulations that can sometimes occur but people are already used to this that they treat it a normal market condition and besides, they can still be able to ride it just like a normal market movement. So what if Bitcoin can go lower than usual? Didn't you know that many people are actually wishing for it to happen? If we combine all of their buying force, Bitcoin will rise and manipulations can hardly counter it.
295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 08, 2023, 02:39:59 PM
England experimented the bazball playing style and achieved success. They are a first-scoring team, and their strategy is hitting boundaries, that is, fours and sixes.

However, for this time, Australia has stepped in with a sensible approach, causing England's bazball tactics to fail miserably. Australia seems to be outsmarting their opponents.
In England, we have two things which are mostly talked first Bazball and then controversies and their quality is going down with in last two matches their moral is also down and most chances they are already lost The Ashes as well with this all know it's good time to think about few changes and improve quality of game for the future.
Just one or two players can't give you success in every series if they won few matches in past due to Bazball it's not guaranteed they will do this in every series and will be successful they have to check their strategy and needs to fix their problems which are not settled in long time.

Australia is best team with their strategy and system mostly they exposed the weakness of opponent and then give them lesson right now same happening with all round performance form Australian squad.
296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: July 08, 2023, 12:36:52 PM
I know this is a joke. Elon can't fight Mark anyway. Because Mark has a really fit body and does sports regularly. On the other hand, Musk does not have a good body. Also, I've seen him smoke pot before on a radio show. Elon is more witty and smarter. But he doesn't stand a chance against Mark. I think he knows that too. That's why he's only bringing this up as a joke. I don't think they will ever fight. But this issue will probably continue to be on the agenda for a while in the world of magazines.
I have a different opinion that Elon Musk has a better chance of this actually happening.
From his body shape, I'm sure Elon musk has greater strength than Mark, even though Elon musk has never smoked, but for this match, not only health but physical strength is also very influential.
Another thing that I can predict if this match actually happens I think Mark will not be able to beat Elon musk with a smaller body.
No you are not that different because I see there's also a few users who have voted for Elon Musk and you all have the same impression. The first thing that you guys have noticed is the physical appearance of the contenders. It's already in our psychology that a big person do already has a bigger strength although sometimes this isn't true and there's also small guys out there who have more strength because they work out or have been involved in a strenuous activity.

Another factor we are looking to is the age. it is when the person is young we think they are more stronger but again this is sometimes wrong. The older age person usually have more experience so they are superior than the younger person.
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: I want to create a cryptocurrency discussion group to study trends together! on: July 07, 2023, 09:24:00 PM
I think that this is going nowhere. It's hard to maintain a group with the same interests unless there's an incentive. I am having that vibes that this is gonna become a pump and dump group and will eventually be sold to the projects that are looking to have established communities with members already.
As long as one has a passion for it, they will do anything and they will never be bored of it especially when they see that they are progressing because many people also support them. It's not only about the money but it is possible to turn your hobby into something that is profitable.

If you have that kind of vibe about the project that the OP is promoting then you better follow it and don't join the group but others may feel the opposite. As for me, I'm just neutral because I'm not a fan of any messaging group to discuss things but I'm already contented on what forums like Bitcointalk has to offer. There is still a section here for speculating things
298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: July 07, 2023, 12:06:01 PM
I just simply don’t think that there are enough teams in the cricket World Cup. The problem is test cricket, it is almost dead. One-day International cricket needs a lot of time. At least the World Cup is really time-consuming. But in the T-20 format, I think it is possible to increase the number of teams. And T20 is also the format in which it is possible for the associate nations to actually perform well. These associate nations are actually showing good performance in this World Cup qualifier. I think at least 12 teams in the ODI format World Cup and probably increasing the number of teams to 20 in the T-20 format World Cup makes a lot of sense.
We have too long discussion about this in past about this all with every one is going for his own favorite format and favorite system, but again I am still feeling now it's time to have few changes in this all game with ODI World Cup 2031 could be last for this format, and now we need to be had only two formats first test and second t20 because now going with all three formats are not good for the game and other stakeholders as well.

ODI is losing its passion and quality is also going down with mostly ICC never have anything positive for this format every time we have decrease in teams for the mega event and funding issues are also rising with this as well so just stopping this all time-wasting is much better and bringing around 16 to 20 teams in t20 is surely going to help them in many ways as well, and we need to reduce test format for the top eight teams as well.
299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: July 07, 2023, 04:59:54 AM
IMO, Scotland was the better team by a good distance. They lost only because of poor captaincy. First of all, they should have easily made 300 batting first. However in the last 6 overs they could make only 43 runs, at 7 runs per over. Tomas Mackintosh was scoring quick runs, but he got no support from the other end. If they had made another 20-25 runs (which they should have done), then Netherlands would have never qualified for the world cup. And while bowling, the retarded Richie Berrington refused to give a second spell to Chris Sole. If you make these sort of retarded decisions, then you don't deserve to qualify for the world cup.
Really shocking performance from Sottish team after having impressive win against team like Zimbabwe they have done big shit in this match against the Netherlands and now out of the world cup here I also completely blame the captaincy and his batting as well because he can do much better, and surely they can easily touch 300+ but due to poor performance now they lost this golden opportunity for having place into mega event of this year.

Bas de Leede was hero for the winning team with his all round performance, first he takes five wickets and then have very aggressive century which help his team for having spot into world cup while they lost 4 wickets I was feeling it's going to be easy win for the Scotland but suddenly poor captaincy and bowling give good chance to Dutch, and now they have flight for the world cup after thrashing Scottish in this last game for these both countries into this event.
300  Economy / Economics / Re: Has everyone become too pesimistic about the economy? on: July 07, 2023, 03:11:45 AM
It's one thing to be pessimistic, but it's also another to be realistic. I enjoy thinking about things getting better eventually since that keeps me off the constant ringing of problems in my head at the very least, but this economic and global struggle we're in isn't going to end or be gone with a few papers signed and hands shaken. You have to understand that the people who involved themselves in this mess had a clear motive in mind that diplomacy in this stage of the scuffle isn't going to fix.

These goes for everything that we're dealing with right now, crypto at risk of getting banned, Russia not relenting from annexing Ukraine, China's housing bubble collapsing, among other issues, as well as other stuff. This is real, this is happening, optimism is great but if it takes your eyes off of the real situation it becomes delusion.
Exactly, I think that everyone that has felt the effects of an economy on crisis will prefer for things to fix themselves up and avoid all that turmoil, but just because we wish it does not mean that it will come to happen, so whether the crisis comes to happen or not we need to prepare ourselves, if nothing happens then our additional investments and savings will help us on the future, but if the crisis does happen then such actions will save us from suffering as much as if we did not prepare at all.
We can wait for the things to fix themselves if something is wrong with them but I think that can take time. We still can try if we can do something to help and if we are lucky that it works then that should speed up the recovery process. If we are not that type and we prefer to be alone then we can only help our self cope up on the situation.

It's crazy if someone will wish for a crisis to come. What will they get after? Maybe they will buy more assets at a cheaper cost but that was still a selfish act because other people or the poor are the ones that can suffer greatly. The price of the assets can still dump even without the need for a crises.
