281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 18, 2024, 03:08:31 AM
After completing the ODI competition among these squads Sri Lanka against Afghanistan squad, now T20 competition has been lived between these squads and also First Match is ongoing on crease and toss already done among them and first batting Inning was also finished and Sri Lanka squad has completed this inning.

Sri Lankan team won the first T20 at Dambulla with the bearest of margins. Afghanistan were just 4 runs short of the Sri Lankan total of 160 runs and they were able to make 156 runs with 9 wickets down. Matheesha Pathirana was the key bowler from the Sri Lanka team who took 4 wickets and gave away only 24 runs. By the way, he was the man of the match too.

Its getting very excited as I am writing this post. Afghanistan need 11 runs to win on 6 balls with only one wicket left. Ibrahim Zadran is well set batsmen on the crease and he faced last 6 balls. Here is how Ibrahim Zadran played last 6 balls, 0-0-0-0-2-4. Ibrahim Zadran was only able to score 6 runs on last 6 balls and result is Afghanistan losing the game by 4 runs.

When we talk about the batting of the Sri Lanka team, it was Wanindu Hasaranga , who made 67 runs and that too in only 32 balls. Being a captain, he played his role but unfortunately, no one else could play a similar big and fast innings from his side. Also the way Afghanistan started this chase, I thought they will win it easily. Their captain Ibrahim Zadran too made 67 runs but the rest of the team just let go this good start by him. I think the Afghanistan team would be disappointed with their batting once again.
282  Economy / Gambling / Re: My betting strategies on: February 18, 2024, 01:41:50 AM

1x(win or draw) mostly has small odds. As the result - you have higher win chance but lower prize. I prefer to risk but get more money. The bookie gives only a part of statistics - they need your money, so i prefer to search some additional information myself. Sometimes i can find that the key player is injured and the opponent team has higher chances to win than the bookie thinks. Such situations give us an opportunity to increase our win rate and profit.

In terms of collecting statistics and analysing it , bookies know when a key player in a team has an injured player and to the extent that it will affect them or not, so be rest assured that they compute all those before coming up with the odds in the options of the game. But sometimes a gambler gets lucky when a key player suddenly is injured seriously and has to go out or goes out through red card. So such opportunity is an advantage to the luck of the bettor who has made bet in the favour of the opponent team. The point is on the balance, bookies don't allow you a free winning opportunity, they always keep a tight option for gamblers.
LOL. Sometimes i see the team names are mixed up by the bookie. Try to bet not only top leagues and you`ll see the difference. The problem is that you have to find some fan site or board, or team site, where you can find this information. It takes lots of time and i can`t say that it gives you 100% chance to win nice odd. But if you have enough time - you can find at lest several such games per week.

Well, if you talk about the online sports book, you will find the odds for each match. If you do not have time to research for a team or player on whom you want to place the bet, you can also see the odds of that match on different sports betting sites and then decide on whom to bet based upon the odds only.

Usually, the team who is favoured to win, the sports betting site will give you low odds for that. It is always safe to go with the low odd team as they have more chances to win but make sure that the odds are not too low which wouldn't give you any good profits. Also, remember that the games have upsets too so always bet with a reasonable amount and do not go for a kill. When you put all of your money in one bet, you are risking too much and it can turn against you.
283  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to self exclude from anonymous gambling sites on: February 18, 2024, 01:24:27 AM
My words don`t mean that i don`t want to help anybody. I don`t want to help someone, who fails his life himself. There are lots of people with problems with health who need help and i prefer to help these people than any kind of addict. It is more fair as for me. Gambling addicts destroy their life themselves. They need to change their mind, make something with their brains and after it it is possible to help them. But even in this situation a don`t sure that i`ll choose the addict.

Well, the help is not always in the form of money. If there is someone in our circle, who is addicted to gambling and if we can just tell him and convince him that he is doing it wrong and this addiction can become even more harmful as the time passes on, this effort of bringing someone out of gambling addiction and to put him on the right path also comes under the definition of help.

Also, if you have spare money, it is not advisable that you help the person who has a gambling addiction as he will only waste your help (money) in gambling it away. Yes, if you find that the person is recovering from gambling addiction, only then one can help him if you think he is finding it difficult to meet his expenses and you do not want he goes towards gambling again thinking he has no funds left to live the life.
284  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: I don't understand why do I have two addresses for the same account on: February 18, 2024, 12:50:23 AM
I bought a Ledger Nano X, I have installed the app in my Windows OS and iPhone.

The other day I transfered 100$ from Binance to my account bc1....3sw, and I received my sats, if I check the tx in the blockchain, my sats are associated to that account.
However, in my Ledger apps, when I open my default BTC account and I select "receive BTC" to reveal my address, both apps (that are showing the correct balance) show a different address, totally different: bc1....2sm, what is happening?

If I check the blockchain, it says Bech32 (P2WPKH), and my ledger app shows "Native segwit".

Any hint?

You may have got the answers to your questions in the above conversations; however it seems like that you have never use any software wallet like Electrum etc before as you are unaware of how the bitcoin addresses works within a wallet.
So without any sort of experience with the software wallet, you bought the hardware wallet. I hope you know completely how to safe guard your hardware wallet and the seed phrases stuff.

I am saying this as it seems like you were using binance before (as you transferred funds from that exchange) , there you just get one single btc address and it does not change. Also, you have a lot of ways to secure your access to your account like password, 2fa as opposed the software wallets where you only have seed phrases to access your wallet.
285  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I'm looking for someone who will help me with my project acechange.io on: February 17, 2024, 03:03:57 PM
Thank you, but we are just 4 developers without funding,

We simply don't have the money for advertising campaigns.

What I understand is that you have developed the application but you do not have the money to run it or to promote it and you are looking for investors. Just like the big investors distrust the projects from small countries, similarly you will hardly find any financial help for your project.
You have to find ways to raise money and the best thing is to provide value from your services/products so that people themselves show interest in becoming the partners and raise the capital.
286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pakistan Super League #PSL Discussion Thread on: February 17, 2024, 06:40:58 AM
Quetta gladiators have made a move of replacing the captain, now Riley Rossouw will be the captain of Quetta gladiator for this year PSL. Sarfaraz Ahmed was captain of Quetta since 2016. Saud Shakeel is appointed as vice captain of Quetta gladiators. To me its a justified move because Sarfaraz is not performing both as batsmen and captian. This will give him opportunity to focus on his batting and deliver good results in last stages of his career.

Today is the first match of the Pakistan Super League which is the match of Lahore Qalandars vs Islamabad United and if you remember so from the last 2 years Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultan played the first match of PSL and by chance, both will again meet at final so this time Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United will face together and according to the history of the last 2 years, the team who will lay the first match will going to play the last match of PSL so maybe this time, Islamabad United will go to final and also it will great for them because after 2018 they never won any PSL, but still they and Lahore Qalandars are the only teams who won 2 PSL trophies and whole other just one a trophy.

This time Rashid Khan will not play PSL but ESPNcricinfo show it and also see him at bowlers to watch of today's match. But at the same time, ESPN cannot make a mistake because it's the world's biggest sports site so how they can mistakes, this misunderstanding will be seen in today's match after some hours.

Anyways, the Lahore Qalandar site is very strong with the help of David Wise, and Zaman Khan, Sikandar Raza, Fakhar Zaman, and Shaheen the captain making them more powerful. From 2022, whenever they met so always Lahore Qalandars came as the winner, and this time if Lahore Qalandars lost so they would lose in their home ground at Gaddafi Stadium.

It is loading now, just slow.
Personally not too worried about it, it should be fine.

The freebitco site is loading perfectly at my side and it seems that the issue must have been resolved. By the way, I did not experience the down time because I was not active on the site when it went down.

This is possibly the first time the site is down for me since 2015 I joined and staring using FreeBitco, but all the same, I don't think there is any reason to panic, FreeBitco have been into a lot of stuffs lately,

Yes, I was also surprised to read these comments as I never heard this site freebitco going down ever, but again even the best of best servers and technology can have some issues and experience the downtime. Anyway, the site is back up and running Smiley
288  Economy / Gambling / Re: What would you like to ask a crypto casino owner? on: February 17, 2024, 04:17:31 AM
I have arranged an interview with the owner of a crypto casino (I will not disclose the brand name yet).

Well, i would like to ask from the casino owner, how much money does he earns on a monthly basis. Though i know that owning a gambling casino is one of the most profitable businesses but still hearing it from the casino owner is something different.

The other question in my mind is that since the casino owner must have made a lot of money, is there in their plan to do some work for the social benefit like investing in health aur education sector to provide assistance to those who can't afford it? This may be one of the best initiative a casino owner can take.

My final question is that how does he cater the on going competition among different gambling sites as there are so many of them and the casino owner need to provide value for money so more and more people are stick to his gambling casino.
289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do people truly risk their money on bets for profit? on: February 17, 2024, 02:52:54 AM
I came across a recent topic where the op was saying over 80% of gamblers gamble to make money and I had to have a dip thought on that and was curious as to know if there are possibilities that people gamble just for the sake of answering the name gambler?
Nearly eighty percentage of the gamblers are doing gambling for the money making.
From my opinion, I think there isn’t any need to stake or risk one’s money on a game simply because you want to catch fun when you could simply not risk your money and still have fun while watching same game.
I don’t know if I’m really staying my points well but I wish to know if people really have to gamble without intentions of making money?

People can enjoy the game by just watching it (and not betting on it) or people can also get entertained by playing non-gambling games (that have even better graphics) but still people gamble and bet, why ? Because the intention is to make money through betting or i would say an easy money through betting.

The craze of gambling is so high because you do not have to do any hard work in order to gamble. Just you need to gamble or bet by putting your money and in case you win, you will get the easy money. This means that if you have money, you can bet. Money makes money.

However, the dark side of gambling is that it is risky and these 80% of the people who come to bet in order to make money, most of them usually only lose at the end of the day.
290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to manage gambling winnings on: February 15, 2024, 07:06:51 PM
The one common thing that everyone talks about is the fact that you should never share it with anyone. This isn't even just something you could tell to other people when it's regular trading or investment neither. Basically, it is clear that you should not tell that you have money to anyone ever, that's the most important part. I like to just keep on complaining that I have none and life is so expensive, sometimes it's true that I have none, sometimes I do have some money but yet I still complain.

Everyone thinks that I am very poor, and there are times when I was rich, I still made them believe that I am poor. That's the most important part. I get that we are going to have very close people, like parents or spouse, they can know about it.

Well, it's true that we should not tell everyone that we have been earning that much amount of money through gambling or by any other means but that is just one thing and there are a number of reasons for this but this is not what is meant by the "Managing the gambling winnings".

I guess, managing the gaming winnings means that the gambler is able to secure his winnings and able to withdraw the winning and use it for non-gambling purposes. Most of the gamblers will just keep on playing with the winnings amount and will lose everything, thus not enjoying the winnings.

If only we know that how much percentage of gambling winning, we would be playing with and how much percentage of gambling winning we would be taking out of gambling, these calculations would help us a lot in securing our profits.
291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 15, 2024, 10:27:24 AM
Shubman Gill goes out on a duck again(He did in the 1st test's 2nd innings). He doesn't seem impressive enough to keep his position at the moment honestly (if not for the 100 he scored in the previous innings). The 100 being the only decent score he's got in a fairly long time while his 2nd best score before that was 36. What do you do with Gill? do you keep playing him in hopes that he scores 1 crucial knock in 10 odd innings? or change his batting order or bench him for another reputed opener?

I don't see Gill getting dropped in this test series, but if he does not get his form back he's surely to get dropped from T20 wc squad, as the competition is going to be tough to retain spots there with some proper t20 players returning such as Pandya, Surya and some such as Rinku Singh likely having their spot already guaranteed, plus Jaiswal is already being paired with Rohit which I feel is likely going to continue in t20wc.

Here we are in the 3rd test match between India and England and in this match India have stated this innings with some good runs on the board. They have scored 252 runs with four wickets down at the drinks break.

If we talk about the Indian batting at Rajkot today, the captain Rohit Sharma made 131 runs followed by Ravindra Jadeja, who is currently batting at 90 and will make his century soon. These two batsmen have given a strong start to the Indian batting line up. The English bowlers look helpless, and they did not get much help from the wicket. However, Mark Wood got three wickets and is the best bowler so far from the England team.
292  Other / Meta / Re: Should bitcointalk ban promotion of other forums? on: February 15, 2024, 03:13:09 AM
Yes true, actually Altcointalk forum is not created to compete with this forum and if we add something positive contest etc here then nothing wrong with it just like Binance listed FtX, Kucoin listed BNB because they know that listing other exchanges coin will not down their popularity. Other forum in the front of this forum is just like comparison of altcoins with BTC. no other crypto forum become famous and also Google SEO of thia forum is on the top position

Also if bitcointalk decides to ban the other forum advertisement here, it will give a wrong message to the community, and most will not like this decision. Similar if binance had denied listing FTX token only because it was the competitor exchange coins, then it also shows the weakness in you that you are afraid of competitions etc.

In fact, if we see in the other forum, in order to attract the posters from this forum, they have a teleport feature, so who are already old members here, they enjoy the same level of seniority on that forum too. This clearly shows that bitcointalk lead in the forums and there is no way they face any competition with the other forum.
293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Repeating mistakes on casino games in gambling site on: February 15, 2024, 02:19:53 AM
The gambler who play the continuous gambling may now to make huge money or loss the entire capital. But the gamblers who play the gambling with the gap will leads to forgot of their old mistakes in the gambling site.So the possibility of repeating the mistake was huge in this case.Even ai had come across this,if the gambler keep the gap of 4-5 days with the next game. This repeating of the old mistake will cause the bankrupt gambler due to loss.

Well, then you are suggesting that gamblers should regularly gamble so that they may not forget the golden rules of gambling and hence they do not make a mistake. But one of the good behaviours of gambling is not to gamble often. If you gamble daily, this can make you addicted to gambling which is even more harmful.

If the gambler is responsible he or she will remember the mistakes in past and will not repeat them. You just need motivation in your mind that you would not repeat old mistakes in gambling, and it works, even if you gamble with a gap.

I know many people who gamble daily and then they are again and again repeating the same mistakes, the reason is that they do not want to learn anything. So the frequency of gambling does not matter much, rather a more regular gambler is considered to make more mistakes than the ones who gamble seldom.
294  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Is rabbit.io is the best way to swap crypto on: February 15, 2024, 12:37:50 AM
I'm most interested in Rabbit Swap, which looks like a search algorithm to determine the ideal liquidity source and compare the result swap.rabbit.io/create?from=BTC&to=USDTTRC20 with, say, https://www.bestchange.com/bitcoin-to-tether-trc20.html. I see that I can get better exchange rates on some third party services.

Yes, i also checked that the swap rates are much better at rabbit.io as compared to other instant exchanges/swaps however alone this factor should not be a reason to use this wallet. Even any scam sites can also give us the best rates to swap so people get attracted to them, try swapping and lose their money. I am not saying that rabbit site is a scam as I do not have any evidence.

It takes time to establish trust. It's not a matter of a couple of hundred people using the wallet and then you're good to go. As I have mentioned, you should probably stay away from it since when it doesn't offer anything unique.

I haven't seen any review (good or bad) of the person who actually used and experienced the site. I do not see anyone talking positively about the site or anyone having a bad experience with this. Maybe no one is using it or those who are using it, didn't get any complaints. Anyway, if there are no complaints mentioned, we cannot take for granted that the service will be good, We need to hear positive reviews in order to try it.
295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 13, 2024, 11:25:26 AM
Australia will most probably whitewash West Indies in the ongoing T20 series just like in the earlier ODI series. Their top order is useless while the middle order and tail-enders keep doing all the work for them.

Alzarri Joseph is the only consistent bowler in their team currently. Their test win at the Gabba was the only highlight from their tour in Australia.
May be, It can be possible for Australia. Because we already have seen the performance of Australia before on the previous two t20 matches. But I think todayds match gonna be quite more competitive from the previous two t20 matches. Because today West Indies has also done a good performance in their batting. Sherfane Rutherford and Andre Russell did a great innings of 139 runs.

Suddenly, the batsmen of Australia started to lose wickets, and back to back three wickets of the Australian team were lost. David Warner, Aaron Hardie, and Josh wickets were losing in just 1.3 overs. Roston Chase picked the wicket of David Warner in the first ball and on the last ball he picked the wicket of Josh Inglis.

In the West Indies innings, Roston Chase was out by Adam Zampa, Zampa did the ball on inside but the ball was too spun and I think a player like Virat Kohli can also can't play this ball, the ball touched outside and suddenly come inside and this type of movement of ball confused to Chase and he was stump out by Adam Zampa. The ball hits on out stump.
296  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Is rabbit.io is the best way to swap crypto on: February 13, 2024, 04:53:12 AM
There's a Rabbit wallet on Playstore
Rabbit Wallet - Crypto Wallet with 5k downloads.

Well, if you look at their site, the roadmap suggests that this project is not only very new but you can see that the mobile apps will be available in May 2024. So the above app may not be related to this project.

The good thing is that it is open source and decentralized.

Being only decentralised and Open Source would not mean that a project is good. If you know most of the hacks happen on the decentralized networks. There are a lot of things to look out for, the most important one is the security of the wallet.

Not it's not because it does not support Bitcoin, but it appears to be better option than metamask wallet if you are only interested in shitcoins.

I think it supports Bitcoin too. See the total list of coins this wallet supports.

297  Economy / Economics / Re: keep pleasures without incomes aside and Chase after profits on: February 12, 2024, 07:37:48 AM
Now, my wife seized not to understand what my logical points about this are because she is not the one providing for the family.
As a woman she is, I clearly understood that they are attracted to pleasures especially on activities that attracts public attentions.

Well how much it would cost to celebrate a marriage anniversary? At maximum, you will be doing an outside dinner and give her some gifts and that all. That won't cost much and you could have spent that money and make her happy.
Also, such small spending won't hurt your long term Bitcoin planning and also don't you spend money on day to day items  Huh
I think you made the wrong choice here.

I’m always against on this kind of decision making especially if the one being subject is important part of your life which is wedding. You are postponing your wedding just because you invest your funds on crypto which you that is too volatile.

No, he is not postponing his wedding, as he is already married. He only decided not to celebrate his wedding anniversary.
I decided to cancel our marriage anniversary celebration
298  Other / Meta / Re: Should bitcointalk ban promotion of other forums? on: February 12, 2024, 05:21:13 AM
But it is not so much of a problem now, I think, because after a large number of teleported members in December and January, the speed has slowed down a lot and I don't see that at least for the moment that forum can compete with this one in a major way. In a few years, I don't know, but not today, especially considering that those of us who have a teleported account there still write here.

If you only just compare the traffic of both the forums and you will find a huge difference. I think that forum cannot even come close to this one in terms of popularity. Also the user experience of this forum is way better than others.

Also, when it comes to the companies, the first thing that look is that amount of traffic is on the platform, and bitcointalk for sure takes the lead. Also when it comes to promoting, why ban any forum or project ? Many projects start their Ann threads and campaigns here to get some popularity. I wonder if that forum starts its signature campaigns on this forum too  Smiley
299  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io| 💸Join BetFury Crypto Staking |🔥Get the highest APRs – up to 60% on: February 12, 2024, 05:04:49 AM
If they list this on good rated exchange maybe they can see some changes regarding on the demand and also maybe this can convince people to acquire and hold.

Not only people will buy more BFG if it is listed on centralized exchanges but it also helps the Betfury to gain more popularity as when people will buy this token, they will check its use case and therefore they may come to know about this gambling site. Yes, the gamblers are already aware of this site, but many traders who are using the centralized exchanges, when they do the fundamental analysis for those token for investment/trading, they will be known to this site and many may play and even stake at Betfury.

Anyways, if there is a budget constraint, then I could not say anything but if there is a budget with the team and they are not focusing on centralized exchanges listing, then they are doing it wrong.
300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you beleive in the concept of "Luck"? on: February 12, 2024, 01:56:58 AM
Yes mate you are right sometimes when we put our bet into 99% sure win but the outcome is loss then it's called bad luck for us but to those who bet against us then they are much lucky to us. cause they will win and we loss. So it's a lesson learned that luck is always there if we talk about gambling.

Well, there is luck factor everywhere but it is more prominent in gambling because gambling only depends upon luck and nothing else. If we needed some skills and some luck, then we could blame that the person is not fully equipped with the gambling knowledge and lost due to lack of experience but here the experience does not count and everything depends upon luck.

But some games are not just basing on how lucky we are but they based on the strategy we made so that we will win . But in reality there's a time that we I'll loss more than our win which is pretty bad enough cause we will aim a profits.

Which gambling games are strategy based  Huh I would like to know.
Even if you talk about sports betting, there is nothing in our control that the strong team will play good on a particular day. They can even perform badly and loss to a weaker team and hence the gambler's loss was due to their bad luck. If they had placed the bet on the weaker team they would have won or not placing the bet on that day would have been more appropriate. Everything revolves around luck here.
