281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: August 21, 2018, 05:02:21 PM
Well, I can only agree with you on you collaboration statement. I think Vitalik & Alex already had meeting.
But on the other side, even if Alex is the founder of Waves, in a decentralized world only the code rule.
Atomic swap is coming, but I'm sure the dev of ETH and waves are in good terms.

(je vais me faire taper)

Quand ? On verra bien Roll Eyes
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves Vs. Ethereum on: August 21, 2018, 07:21:25 AM
Waves platform is great idea bur the look is not. It s not user friendly, dex too many scam token, the dashboard not easy to use. Eth has too many probkem with gas. Gas price is too high. Sending under 1 usd xost 0,35 . Eth can be money because of the transfer fee.

1. Nobody force you to trade the tokens you don't want
2. What is difficult to understand here ? If you can't use the Waves DEX because it's not easy to use, so you can't use Bittrex, Binance, Polo, etc ...

284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: August 21, 2018, 07:15:09 AM
Not saying I support them as I feel bad for their victims but you'd think that hackers and botnets using Monero would be a positive sign due to the privacy benefits.

Hackers = XMR success in privacy benefits
Botnet = More mining decentralisation
285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: August 21, 2018, 07:04:32 AM
The ecosystem of the WAVE coin project has a good space for development, and we look forward to further hard work by the project team. WAVE will bring great wealth to investors in the future.

I am looking forward into that. Waves is overall a good project. An integration with Ethereum network will be great. The DEX still needs more improvements. The better it is, the more volume and traders to come.

Please tell me why you think that cooperation with Ethereum network is so good? If Waves has positioned itself as a private blockchain, why should they cooperate in fact with the competition anyway?

The atomic swap will also to swap any ERC20 token from ETH to Waves and back.
It's not a cooperation, they won't have the choice to refuse.
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves Vs. Ethereum on: August 21, 2018, 07:00:04 AM
Does any one thinks that Ethereum can survive with the rising of Waves? I've heard that "Waves will be the next Ethereum"
Yeah i believe so because waves has its own trading platform, you can even trade ethereum and many other coins through waves platform.
Waves is encouraging ethereum to their members since their launch, so basically waves can make ethereum survive more.
So you are saying Waves will support ETH to survive?
Waves has its own trading platform but if you look at the volume, it's like there are no people actively using their trading sites.
ETH has decentralized exchanges, it only trade ETH and ETH tokens but its volume is decent.

Waves isn't supporting ETH to survive. The Waves trading platform is also decentralized and one of the most used which accept trading pairs like BTC/any, ETH/any and also fiat money with gateway. Most other DEX only accept their own token against any.
Even Bisq is far away behind Waves DEX...  https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/volume/24-hour/
The thing is the team is working on atomic swaps on ETH. We will soon able to swap any ERC20 token on Waves, and back. Waves will gain users with atomic swap so far.
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: August 20, 2018, 11:50:05 AM
Eth is proving time and a gain what a hyped POS coin it has always been and when the miners leave the price will just continue down the shitter as the Scam ICO's get shut down. So it should naturally turn people attention to solid projects such as this one.

I agree ETH looks overhyped. I invite everybody to look at http://bpeindex.com/ to understand how XMR is cheap at the moment...

No doubt Casper will attract GPU miners to Monero. But what do you think about the afflux of miners on the price of XMR (not ETH)? For example:

  • scenario1 = miners need to pay for their electricity bills in fiat, so they sell their mined XMR, which is driving the price down (miners sell, but don't buy)
  • scenario2 = miners need to pay for their electricity bills in fiat, but they sell their mined XMR at least at cost price which is ~143USD with current difficulty (~51,725,000,000) & $0.10 per KW/H & 1% pool fee. I know $0.10 per KW/H might sound high but I am including the whole cost. Watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YLivTR3KBxs if you don't understand the global cost of mining for big farms
  • scenario3 = ?

I'd like to read various opinions of this community on this subject

BPEIndex is excellent ! Thanks for the link
288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves Vs. Ethereum on: August 20, 2018, 11:42:28 AM
Waves coin was my favorite one in the past when I didn't know about Eos and Eth is not so convincing for me in this time like Eos which is more reliable and has constant invcreasing. So I think that it is obvious that Eos for me on the top, and these ones are follwing only.

I think you should open a thread "Waves vs EOS" Grin
289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves Sell Or Hodl? on: August 20, 2018, 06:40:18 AM
waves did not have such a good development, even though he has features similar to ETH, not many use it and the owner is also Sasha Ivanov I don't feel active in recent times so I think it's time to sell

No public blockchains has owners. They have project leaders mostly.
290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: August 16, 2018, 07:25:52 PM
Not sure if this is the right place to suggest Waves wallet improvements. I really enjoy to use the wallet, also for other coins like BTC and ETH. It became my main wallet.

One big issue or better say one big irksomeness is the spam assets. I receive at least one (mostly multiple) spam assets a day. When token burn feature was implemented I tried to burn them to keep a better overview of my valuable assets. But I have given up now. There are too many and it costs a lot.

So I came up with the idea to simply filter out the spam tokens. But unfortunately there are only the filter options "spam tokens" and all tokens, but no filter for non-spam tokens. Could you implement such a filter in the upcoming version?

I think before tokens reach your main list you should have a tab or sub-menu to "accept" them.
I love the Waves technology but it's now mandatory for the Waves team to resolve that because 90% of the complaints here are about spam tokens.
I know you can't prevent spam token as the entire system is decentralised, but a turn around must be find right now.
291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ERC20 vs waves on: August 16, 2018, 01:56:45 PM
ERC20 vs Waves battle ends soon (Q4 ?).
With atomic swap on Waves you'll able to swap from ERC20 to Waves and back.
292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Tron(TRX) is the top 3 cryptocurrency in the market - trading volume on: August 16, 2018, 09:03:11 AM
I do not think I ever heard that coins that are in the top 15 in cmc by trading volume are indicated by fraud. I used to think that way, garbage coins, duplicate white paper, very unattractive projects. Last week since their mainnet announcement, the acquisition of bittorent ... it caught my attention ... and started researching what justin had done to this tron project and tried their wallet by using my ledger ... I think trx is pretty exciting right now .. but not for full investment there but trying to start small investment while looking at further developments

But, but, but. What is Tron itself doing? The cryptocurrency TRX. Any company can announce mainnet, any company can do acquisition and mergers. You tried their wallet with ledger, okay great. Have you used it to spend on anything or buy anything yet? Have you tried using it for what it is supposed to do? Do you know any TRX user who is or who wants to or who even knows how to?

Let's be serious and see the truth. The only difference about TRX and other coins can be that they raised enough money to do good marketing and business development. But to me, in the sense that all their volume is just trading, and all their holders probably don't even intend to use its full abilities... that makes it vaporware same as a lot of others.

Tron is still a young project.
You can't have everything now and right now.
293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: August 16, 2018, 08:48:31 AM
Can't wait for ledger, extra security is always welcome.

Does any one thinks that Ethereum can survive with the rising of Waves? I've heard that "Waves will be the next Ethereum"

These waves are unstable, and now the price tends to fall. and waves are less developed altcoins. I think bitcoin is still much better than waves. too far comparing waves and bitcoin.

Waves is one of the most developed altcoin and active blockchain: http://www.blocktivity.info/
295  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis on: August 16, 2018, 06:37:35 AM
It's being discussed starting by here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=274613.5160
Not sure he posted any fundamentals, he just said "no resistances until 15k", then he applied the EW likewise.
296  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis on: August 15, 2018, 08:03:16 PM
So wait...  What was masterluc's prediction on this day last year?  I think it was supposed to be higher than where it is now and bullish right?
I'd like to see what chart he did around Aug. 14, 2017 if a reg in this thread could kindly pull it up.  Thanks.  Smiley
That chart ?
https://www.tradingview.com/chart/BTCUSD/pmV1uLC7-Bitcoin-Longterm-update/
The timeframe isn't good anymore but for me still pretty accurate until BTC drop below $5k.
edit:
mistake, it's that one: https://www.tradingview.com/chart/BTCUSD/3RjQGYZp-No-resistance-till-15000-when-3500-will-break-up/
Again, still accurate to me except the timeframe, but if it keep dropping, the chart will be invalidated.
This one is also nice, the accuracy is high for a +1y old prediction: https://www.tradingview.com/chart/BTCUSD/YRZvdurN-The-target-of-current-bubble-lays-between-40k-and-110k/

The chart?!!! The chart?!!!  Grin
Always interesting as to why there is no fundamentals in your analysis, are these linked elsewhere?
It's not my analysis.
Was just an answer to @tokeweed.

no disrespect

i just found the strike funny in the current market as it seems all TA has gone out the window

seriously though
Are fundamentals included with these analysis, or they do not exist in this world, or linked elsewhere?

again no disrespect, gave me a chuckle

cheers

Thanks Mallyx.  Appreciate it.

And reading about the 'fundamentals' are nice but it doesn't really help some traders, on when to buy, at what price and how much to buy.  Everything really is in the price, momentum and volatility imho.  The rest is just market noise.

But that's just me.

Fundamentals have to be specified only when they are subjective.
When they are objective, just refer to the rules.

To me @masterluc is the most accurate guy of all time with his predictions, belong @chessnut. He can be wrong, ofc, it's just predictions, not prophecies.
297  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis on: August 15, 2018, 10:04:50 AM
Masterluc isn't so easy to follow, I'm only wayching that thread sometimes.
The TA above is 1y+ old and I find it pretty accurate. He moslty rely to Eliott waves for his predictions.
