According to BETI, the ATH of $38k is expected for the 12 November ? Am I understanding well all the data ? No - the current price would have been expected on 12 November. We are ~13 days ahead of the trend. IF the index was at it's previous ATH, the price would be ~$38k. Edit - That sounded negative . For some hopium, each time the trend has surpassed 0, it hit an ATH fairly quickly. Thanks !

Well, i dont understand why the senior devs dont want to promote, but I see the passion in their words. If they are not really interested in the project and do not put a soul in it, they would just accept the help of marketing company and feel happy to get more money. The fact they dont want that means that their main aim is to make a really good project. Nice.
So far I prefer a team that work more on the development than working on the marketing. Marketing just slowing down the process. We have time to do it later, or as for now, asking it to someone else.

Waves just hired a CMO and she has stated that there will be marketing efforts directed to the cryptosphere Good news ! That was really missing. 2018 will be wavy! 2017 was an great year for waves. 2018 will be amazing with all the upcoming development. Bitcoin NG, smart contracts, am amazing new dex and many more things coming to waves in 2018. Also with the integration of getaways for fiat and crypto is waves going be an amazing platform for many users, projects etcetera. From 19 till 23 october the volume went crazy at Yobit exchang (1000 btc a day) right before the bitcoin gold fork. Did anybody notice as I did a whale or whales buying insane amounts of waves (I mean thousands and thousands) during these days? There were even sell orders of 230000 waves just to get prices as low as possible. Don't you think this is really a good indication of what gonna be wave's price in the future?? Whales were tanking massively. Did it happen in others coins as well? What do you think? I saw 96 BTC buy-wall on $strat / but Waves has a better chanace to explode .. 2018 is dex year! A lot of market were affected by that panic downtrend, so a lot of players took that opportunity to accumulate more coins ! The Waves market is still under pressure, just wait for the bull to be released

Heres a fun thought game. So there is approximately 1200 coins on CMC. And maybe another 300? not listed. Suppose you invested $10 in each one today (this week? How long would that take?). That $15000 USD. Hodl it! Where do you think your total investment be in 1 year? 5 years? 10, 50, 100? Would you be ahead? Under? Counting all forks, clones ect. How many of them would be dead? Share your thoughts!!! We can look back on this thread in 5, 10 years and find out who was right!
Your investment will be down to $0 if you leave all your coins on an exchange. Why do you say that? Are exchanges so risky? I keep some coins in exchanges for a year and didn`t had any problems By leaving your coins on a exchange, you don't really own them. If something happen, you may lost everything (time and money). Many exchange closed or were damaged on the past, leaving peoples with no more coins (MtGox, Cryptsy, CryptoRush, Mintpal, Bter, etc). Even Poloniex was hacked, Bitfinex too.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Prices differences between Exchanges
|
on: October 20, 2017, 10:10:12 AM

Hi All!
I have notices that a (random) coin can have a different price depending the Exchange it is traded on. Take, for example, XRP. It is traded on a number of exchanges and the price is different per exchange. The difference is small, but still it's a difference.
Is the price of a coin not synced between Exchanges? If not, how does this system work? How come that the difference is still small although not synced. And, how do I make sure I trade on the Exchange which is offering the best price?
Maybe stupid questions but would like to understand how this works.
Cheers!
Arbitrage happen between exchange only if it's profitable. If you buy lower on an exchange to sell higher on an other, you must be sure that the withdraw fee + trading fee are good to make a profit. Else it's not interesting. It's one of the reasons you can have a small difference between exchanges.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another hard fork coming in October. New Bitcoin name is "Bitcoin Gold"
|
on: October 19, 2017, 01:37:34 PM

Well, I'll keep my share as soon as the fork happens. I like the idea that my hard wallet used to support BTC alone but after the fork on BCH, they upgraded my wallet and became able to support the new blockchain. Now, it seems like I'll be getting another free set of coins.
Regarding BTC price, I guess there is no need to panic at the moment... if the price goes down then it's gonna be an opportunity to buy.
What wallet is it safe to secure that you get your bitcoin gold after the hard fork? There's a lot of suggestions and there are tons of bitcoin wallets that have private key. Is it also okay to just keep your bitcoin on major exchanger like bitrrex? Can anyone suggest where is it best to keep your bitcoin before the fork? The best to keep your Bitcoin is always on your wallet, with private keys you own.
