This happened to me too. But not just Malwarebytes. I bypassed malwarebytes' block, and after browsing this forum for around a minute, Avast also notified me that a virus had just been blocked. It came from a different domain. I think this might be the real deal, bitcointalk may be injected with malicious code.

Here's a little report: http://www.avast.com/lp-fr-virus-alert?p_ext=&utm_campaign=Virus_alert&utm_source=prg_fav_80_0&utm_medium=prg_systray&utm_content=.%2Ffa%2Fno-no%2Fvirus-alert-default&p_vir=URL:Mal&p_prc=C:\Program%20Files%20%28x86%29\Aurora\firefox.exe&p_obj=http://imageupload.co.uk/files/za1z84jpkvd9uo18uoed.jpg&p_var=.%2Ffa%2Fno-no%2Fvirus-alert-default&p_elm=7&p_lex=302&p_lid=no-no&p_lng=nb&p_lqa=0&p_lqe=0&p_lst=0&p_lsu=24&p_pro=0&p_bld=empty&p_vep=8&p_ves=0&p_vbd=1497&p_hid=7001976d-9a1d-4dcb-a912-99d939f654b0

Some news: Unfortunately it seems that a shipment of green laser parts won't arrive in time for Bitcoin Friday, so I will probably not be able to have them in stock. That is, except the expensive 520nm green one. I know this is terrible planning on my part. However, you can still preorder green lasers if you want, and get the discount. If so, the order will be shipped as soon as I get the parts, at worst within a week or two after Bitcoin Friday.

Other lasers will become stocked up in time. I hope I have enough parts this year, last year most lasers were sold out before the day was over.  Undecided

Do you have any simple laser pointers? Not those burning ones that are dangerous but the ones used in presentations etc?

Unfortunately no. I might stock them in the future some time, but I couldn't really compete with other stores in terms of price, you can buy such laser pens for like $1 shipped on ebay.

How have I only just noticed this! Have you ever had troubles shipping into Australia?

I've had several customers from Australia, most have received their packages but there were one order where customs actually stopped the package. So the risk is low but present. However, if you want to pretty much eliminate that risk, I can ship two halves of the laser in separate packages for an extra shipping fee. That way there's no way customs can classify one of the packages on it's own as a laser pointer.

Most lasers should be restocked and backorders will ship in a few days.

PS: We have a pretty cool announcement to give soon, stay tuned!

Hi, just want to inform that Bitlasers will be participating in Bitcoin Friday 2013, just like last year Smiley

Now the whole BTC economy is hurtin.. two birds with one stone for the US GOV

It's not that bad. Bitcoin is resilient, the price will rebound eventually.

3 more days till sept... not much new info..

I'd say they've given a lot of info actually. Their circuit boards and case are finished, they are just waiting for the chips. And they are currently at fab I think, they're done when they are done, there would be nothing to report until then. Bottom line is that they still say they on track for September delivery, however "not the beginning of September".

So if 1.6.W/GHps is the max power usage, and 500W is still the max total power usage for the saturn, does that mean it might perform at as much as 312 GHps?  Grin

Just discovered a bug that prevented weight based shipping from showing up for non-european users, only the tracked flat rate $49 shipping option showed up.. This has now been fixed, shipping is much cheaper to America now.

Lots of things happening! Website is now revamped! Switched to opencart instead of oscommerce, and we now use bitpay to process bitcoin payments.

http://BitLasers.com

In other news:

- With this change a lot of new features are available, like affiliate support. If you want to earn a little money on the side, if you refer a friend or advertise using an affiliate account, you earn 5% of the sale sum of each sale you refer. http://bitlasers.com/opencart/index.php?route=affiliate/login

- Our email provider, lavabit.com, suddenly shut down operations without warning.. This means that any mail you have sent to us in the last two days have not reached us. Please use contact@bitlasers.com or gitlem@gmail.com in the future.

- New laser models are on the way! Mostly single-mode diode versions of popular colors such as 445nm blue or 635nm red. Single mode means that they are lower powered, but has a cleaner, rounder dot and can lase much farther due to less beam spread. Expect them in stock in around a week or two.

- We will soon list many items on third party platforms such as bitmit and coingig.

- We can also accept other cryptocurrencies such as litecoin on request. Please email us in advance of the order.

Back from vacation now.

What is your ETA on the safer, lower powered lasers? If they were still a solid beam, I would love to attach one to my paintball gun.

It won't have a solid beam except in pitch dark areas unfortunately. And it might still be a long while, perhaps a few months even.

I'll be on vacation starting today. New orders won't be processed for about a week, sorry.

You could sell them disassembled in 2 separate packages, and avoid to write "laser" on the label, better "torch" or sth.
Is this feasible?

I can do this for an extra shipping fee but as said the way I ship them normally is pretty safe as well. The chance of them being confiscated is very low.

I saw you have two strong violet lasers. Are they different in size/look?

No, they look nearly identical, the difference is the lens which is much more efficient.

One question about your 250 mW 660nm Red Laser.

If I was to use this at night, would it be so bright that I would be required to use safety glasses? Or am I safe? I need to know how bright it is as I want to go paintballing at night and would like a solid beam laser that isn't bright as the sun.

Same question applies to your 50 mw and 100 mw Green Lasers.

You can absolutely not use them as a paintball marker attachment, at least not when playing with other people.. While the beam or dot is safe to look at, a direct hit to the eye can cause permanent eye damage even from a distance. Handle the laser like a gun, never point it towards people.

I am working on stocking some 100% safe low powered lasers, but it would probably take a while before they are ready for sale, they are still in the planning phase.

I would buy a strong laser but in Germany/Austria they are not allowed. Customs will probably seize it. Could you ship it somehow stealth? Please pm.

I sell the lasers partly disassembled in order for them to be theoretically legal to import to most countries. I've probably sold around over 100 lasers now, and only once has a package been intercepted by customs. That was in Australia, which has one of the strictest customs in the world. Even still, this was just one out of several orders to Australia, the rest had no problems.

i have some buyers that will be willing to buy them off of www.coingig.com if you can open a store

I am considering listing some kits on sites like coingig or bitmit, but I have some other stuff I need to take care of first
