2881  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest regret when it comes to Bitcoin? on: October 30, 2017, 01:34:50 PM
I think everyone in the community would agree to that the biggest regret is not holding to your coins early. It is one thing I regret. I mean I knew about it all but I think was too scared to stay with it. I am talking about 2011.
2882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Initial Coin Offering(How to choose best ICO?) on: October 30, 2017, 05:47:25 AM
I think it is important to read through the whitepaper. Scam projects usually have flaws in there. Just try your best to read through the whole whitepaper. If it made sense to you; just as a check drop the team a question on their communication channels. if they responded and with logical answers that is consistent with their whitepaper that means they actually wrote it and know what it entails and probably know how to do it..
2883  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can Africans benefits from Blockchain technology? on: October 29, 2017, 07:12:40 PM
I am not sure why the general notion is that Africa means "no internet connection" and "no computer" what kind of logic is that?
the benefit of the technology would be the same as it is elsewhere. the end.
2884  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Satoshi question: What if on: October 29, 2017, 01:57:00 PM
if that ever happens the price would fall.
but the is unlikely to happen. First there is a huge community backing it all. Second if he planned it he would have executed by now. Plus why ruin his/her/their rep?
2885  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: World govts fear Bitcoin because they can’t tax it – John McAfee on: October 29, 2017, 01:50:36 PM
believe me they will end up taxing it lol; they would not how though. but dude if they can land their hands on anything they will.
2886  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we explain that the bitcoins is not a scam on: October 29, 2017, 10:28:20 AM
Only yesterday's television shows here in our country could be a bad thing when you get involved with bitcoins. I'm so frustrated that the tv host has shown that bitcoins are a scam. Because of the fact that he has made many people will definitely not try to enter the bitcoins yet. And because that would be like an investment scheme that looks at bitcoins. That's not really true because bitcoins used to do bad things. And what I was most disappointed was that this tv host did not say the good side of bitcoins.

Now my question is how we can explain to those who watch tv that bitcoins is not a pyramiding scheme.

you don't have to explain anything to anyone. the community is educated enough and those skeptical fools will always exist and I doubt they will even cause the slightest dent.
2887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Dagger-Hashimoto for Ethereum? on: October 29, 2017, 07:58:55 AM
It is expected with the shift to PoS this concern would be addressed at least no one would even consider ASIC anyways.
2888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you support Bitcoin Forks? Why??? on: October 29, 2017, 05:40:08 AM
Forks are important for the network; however I don't think they should be frequent. for any fork to happen there is some loss for the miners. forks should be as minimal as possible.
2889  Economy / Trading Discussion / how do you account for the currency change when selling? on: October 28, 2017, 06:22:36 AM
I sell different items and services and planning to start accepting eth and btc. However my concern is that I might end up losing; for example say I am selling 295$ item which is about 1 Eth; I receive the Eth however it is now 290$. Should that be a big concern? how do you manage that change?
2890  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best cryptocurrency to invest in right now? on: October 28, 2017, 06:12:58 AM
I really think eth is the best one here. It is affordable and would probably be there for long. So Ya I would invest in Eth for sure.
2891  Economy / Goods / Re: Btc to gold bars on: October 28, 2017, 05:21:24 AM
do you ship worldwide?

You really should consider an escrow with this one; smells fishy.
2892  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Besides crypto, what would be the safest way to hold your money? on: October 28, 2017, 04:58:33 AM
Assets; anything that increases in value as time passes. Say I have been to a place where plate numbers are actually an asset. But the most common steady investment and somewhat secure is as it has been mentioned, real estate and gold I would also add lands; When I have enough cash I will get me a land specifically for farming and lease it to farmers.
2893  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The advantages of bitcoin on: October 27, 2017, 12:16:37 PM
For me, Bitcoin has many advantages, one advantage is it gives to the individual money to sustain the basic needs, It also reduce the increasing number of unemployed in some countries, The people who work in bitcoin develops the ability to reason out, enhanced the English proficiency, that's the some advantage of bitcoin.

I think the main advantage is the decentralization concept. more precisely the blockchain.
2894  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I Wait or Invest On Bitcoin? on: October 26, 2017, 07:14:28 PM
I think bitcoin shines among the other Altcoins in that I think majority will agree it is unlikely to have a steep drop. If you got the cash why not; jump in and never panic sale.
2895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: where do you generate your coins from? on: October 26, 2017, 07:05:09 PM
Interesting I guess I should start learning about campaigns...
2896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: where do you generate your coins from? on: October 26, 2017, 03:08:48 PM
What kind of coin are you referring to? There are many ways to generate a coin. One of the slowest and fruitful way of generating a coin is mining one. There are websites that let you mine a certain coin and you can keep as many as you want. Mining bitcoin is very hard and you could take months before earning your first bitcoin.

Alt coins are very easy to mine because some of the values of altcoin are still low. Faucets sometimes have high payouts but you have to log in every day so you can get the daily bonus. You can also join campaigns to earn altcoins but this will take a lot of time so you have to be patient if you really want to generate some alt coins.

do you mine to get coins or do you just buy them?
2897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: where do you generate your coins from? on: October 26, 2017, 02:52:44 PM
I understand that; aside from mining; how do you obtain them? Do you like offer services for coins?
2898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / where do you generate your coins from? on: October 26, 2017, 02:24:51 PM
I understand you can buy coins using fiat. What is your other means to generate coins?

Update:
To avoid confusions; I am asking how do you personally get coins. I understand how the coinbase/mining is carried out.
2899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon to accept Bitcoin? on: October 26, 2017, 02:13:12 PM
I don't think it is official. I mean it would make a difference and a great one too. Imagine Amazon accepting bitcoin while no paypal incorporated that would be something.
