how many coins i need to put in 1 block to get the fastest flat reward? is it 7 hours? also the flat reward is still 1000 coins and yearly interest 7%?
thanks
Good question. There is room for low entry, high staking coins.

Hi, I'm using a spare computer for the wallet and mining with it. When it set up, it asked for number of cores and realize I should have put it at 1 but just thought I could change it later. How can I change it now? It's running at 2 cores and making this machine unstable.
I tried to deposit coins from coinexchange and got them returned with: Auth Timeout / Reversed
Hi paramind22, you can set the number of cores to use with the startup flag -genproclimit=1 , default is -1 which means al cores. this can also be set in a file called hodlcoin.conf in the same directory as where your wallet.dat is stored. Thanks. I created a hodlcoin.conf file with just that line and it didn't take. This is just a spare computer I picked up and it didn't give me permission to write in program files directory so I just copied that whole directory to my c:/mining directory and restarted the program from there. Hopefully, that will be ok, as it did launch, but there must be other stuff needed in the hodlcoin.conf file. Also, you said default is -1 which means all cores? I just want to use one core out of two. in the hodlcoin.conf file you need to put genproclimit=1 ( without the dash in front of it, only needed when passing it as a flag to startup binary ) yes hodlcoin.conf file can contain other parameters , here is an example: rpcuser=miner rpcpassword=yourRPCpassword rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 server=1 p2pport=1989 rpcport=11989 daemon=1 gen=1 minermemory=1 genproclimit=1 upnp=0 miningaddress=MY_HODL_MINING_ADDRESS
Thanks again. OK, sorry to bug you when I might be able to find this online, but just for the continuity of the discussion, you keep saying =1 means all cores, I only want to use one of two cores, so the flag might be =0? This is often how I find tech info, like a old dialog here or some other forum, so to those who say "google it" lol. A lot of tech coin mining info is still actually hard to find. This is a really long thread. It would be good to periodically state how to mine this coin with its wallet. I hate looking through triple digit long threads for info, and then one has to make sure the info is still current. What I gather is that you need your mining address put in this wallet, and then they get redeposited back to you as being coins received into the wallet? Is the address just simply our received address as given by the wallet? Is the pool address hardcoded in? Do we need this stuff if we are in the wallet already: rpcpassword=yourRPCpassword ?

I forgot to mention Growcoin. It's an older coin with a good team supporting it and it's cheap right now. It says I have 50% of producing a stake in the next five hours, so that's good for only 2000 coins. I'm trying to create my own little fund of about 100 coins so I am not putting much into each.

And it is back up again on coinmarketcap seems like a fair few people are part of the BenjiRolls Community and wish for it to live on. Benjamin Franklin was one of the greatest people who ever lived, and most educated people realize this. The coin also has the financial sense of a roll of Benjamins, which is financial draw.

Looking for coins that meet this formula. So far, Healthywormcoin (going down to 17% soon) and Condensate are the best I've found.
I'm surprised nobody mentioned these two coins that meet your criteria: IncaKoin ticker NKAWhat about the staking? This coin stakes at 9% every 35 days. To put that in perspective if you have 100 coins and let them set for 1 year you'll end up with about 255 coins. That blows away the interest rates of the other coins mentioned here. What about the pricing? Are you kidding me this coin is a real steal right now at 0.00000007 BTC What about the team?I've had the opportunity to meet with the founder and two other team members. I am very confident they will continue to be passionate and promotional on this coin. Any other cool things?Yes as a matter of fact you can mine this coin fairly easily right from the wallet with a cpu! HOdlCoin ticker HODLWhat about the staking? This coin stakes at 5% a year but you can "lock" it with a "term deposit and if you do that for 1 year it jumps up to 42% currently. To put that in perspective if you have 100 coins and lock/term deposit them for a year you'll end up with 142 coins. Bear in mind this term deposit interest is constantly dropping so the sooner the more and the later the less. What about the pricing? Are you kidding me this coin is very affordable right now at 0.00000190 BTC What about the team?I've had online interaction with the developer and I think he's solid and very committed to the coin. Any other cool things?Yes as a matter of fact you can mine this coin fairly easily right from the wallet with a cpu!
Here's another one you might check out: 808 Coin Ticker 808. It stakes about 17% every 8.08 days and you can pick it up for 0.00000019 BTC. You might also take a little investigative look at LanaCoin. It stakes pretty sweet too at 7% plus a cool 1k coin POS bonus. A few others just for grins so you can do some digging to see what you like and want... - ZeniCoin
- ReddCoin
- Magi
- RubyCoin
- ZeniCoin
- Radium
- NavCoin
- HyperStake
- WomenCoin
There you go that should keep you busy for a while and if you have any questions, comments or additions I'd love to hear them! Thanks for all the info. I didn't realize a few you mentioned were POS and I see some on cryptopia doing well. I am staking BOAT because the dev is the same as for RAIN, which has been great. Espers and Hyperstake seem to require more investment upfront, there are so many millions now staking, that I wonder when the rewards will come.

Dev is last active June 11, 2017. The lack of a good wallet make me suspicious this is kind of an insider's game, like the techies in the know can benefit but it makes it harder to use. Why encrypt a wallet and then not have an option to unencrypt it for staking and mining? I'm still learning, maybe this is done in the console? Another good idea for a coin taken up by insincere devs?

I can create a beachcoin.conf with this in it:
listen=1 maxconnections=80 gen=1 genproclimit=-1
will it work? I think the thread here needs this information pretty clearly.

Which coin would you buy 10,000 of now for a fraction of a cent then?
From my experience, it's also a question on what exchange would you buy. Cryptopia in New Zealand has what is pretty much a "curated" group of coins like Polo. With all the icos on Bittrex, I can't say the same for them. You can get the sense with Poloniex and Cryptopia that the coins are pretty much going to all cycle up and down, with none really tanking for those who know how to read buy and sell orders. Of course, the market can change and so one day some of these may not go up again, but you should see that by the huge sell orders on low prices. I am not quite sure how to read if a sell wall is fake.

Hi, I love the coin. Been trading it for two weeks now. Question: I have the wallet and encyrpted it but I don't know how to get it to mine. I did dl the right one. Do I need coins in it first?
A little disappointed in the wallet. Why is there no clear way to unlock it once I've encyrpted it?

I think that you need to fix some things on your new interface... I get "lost" when i was trying to found out what was happend to a "Buy" order of mine. Then i see that i have the coins from that order but at my "Trade History" page i saw this : http://imgur.com/a/z4Ka2Kindly check it and fix it accordingly, thank you in advance. Just some constructive feedback. It's the hardest site to get around that I've ever been on. It seems it was designed for touch screens. I've tried to be kind but you're not alone in having problems with the present interface. I now see they changed the site and have a new history section which is good. I don't see a buy order though that I had to make there because I didn't transfer this coin in. You need to know your buy costs or how can calculate a sell? I have had hourglass time outs many times when I tried to use the site, including right now. And since there is no stop button in chrome, this ruins the session and you have to find your way back to the exchange part and coin which takes a bunch of clicks. (I did just find out if you click again on the button that starts animating when it lags, it may process the order, just did for me). There are no sorting menu headers also.

To be honest, I think all coins get pumped any time in the future. It is good to buy a really small amount of them all. And then you put a sell order 10x the amount
yeah true, but shitcoins will be bumped harder than other. Shitcoins can easily increase 1000 times in less than a day. If you can maintain your money and follow the mainstream of whales, you can easily make a huge, no, an extremely huge profit. A lot of what you're seeing in price increases that look like 1000 times is often .1 sat to 1.4, and almost no one knows about these, or they are on exchanges that are very obscure. Just because you see something on coinmarketcap high area doesn't mean it's easily accessible. It's more likely in rare occasions a coin goes up 10x to 50x in one day, but you would have to invest over $25 on something very risky to see some profit. It's safer to buy a lot of the better ones, because tips with these coins are usually worthless. The old pump and dump is something to always watch out for.

What "wallet creation" deadline? Show me a post anywhere with a deadline. Oh here it is on my Twitter feed mixed with 100,000 other Tweets. Why would there be a deadline July 12 before PART even starts trading? Only 75% of investors managed this... so its hard to argue this is user friendly or necessary. Since the Particl team wont set foot in this thread... Now your PART has to be sent to you manually if you can find someone to help you in slack/riot/whatever... You know, there is a thing on the internet called a "Send Button" that is considered user friendly by 99% of ICOs. https://explorer.particl.io/address/put your address at the end of that to see if its valid. The one on the website for me shows no transactions there, but on the site it says I have a balance.

I had no balance showing in my wallet either, but after several attempts, I realized that in the area where you input your 2nd passphrase it says (optional) so, naturally, I didn't put it in because I'm very, very careful about putting my 2nd passphrase anywhere....however, if you created a 2nd passphrase prior to installing wallet, then you MUST insert it in the space provided..after inserting my 2nd passphrase everything worked great and my balance was transferred instantly from the dashboard to the wallet....also be sure that when you copy/paste your 1st passphrase (or recovery passphrase as they like to call it) make sure that you haven't added an extra space when copying. hope this helps. also..Come to Slack and join the #help channel to get better support. https://particl.slack.comI did get into my QT wallet. In the video, it seems so simple, like the coins just get deposited instantly, but that's not what I'm experiencing. I tried to exit the QT wallet and come back in to see if that would trigger it, but it automatically logs me in, and they're still not deposited. What's the next step? Hopefully, the problems can get ironed out here without people having to join slack for basic questions.

I have the PART showing on my website. I launch the wallet on my computer and put in the recovery phrase and passphrase. I did the donation part on the website and gave the address my wallet generated. How do I get the PART from the website to the hard drive wallet?
The output in debug window read `ismine: true` when I typed in a checking code. Quoting a youtube guy:
1. Login to Particl Portal 2. top right click on "Logged in as <username>" 3. Scroll to the bottom and grab the `First Address` 4. Now go back to your wallet and load the debug window and type `validateaddress <address copied in 3>` The output should read `ismine: true` - if it does not you have imported the wrong combination and you need to try again.
