2981  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Early signs of crime with bitcoin. on: December 16, 2020, 11:29:15 PM
No matter what the financial tool is, expect that there will always be bad guys tarnishing the reputation of established fronts for their personal gain. Anyway, I’m sure this will not deter genuine users of bitcoin from using and investing on it, as was the case for most of us here still invested and believing in bitcoin. More of these nefarious activities will be prevalent now that bitcoin is hitting the shelves, so it always helps to be vigilant to not be a victim of such.
Right, criminals is still criminals whatever the method or platform they are taking advantage of to perform their method. It just happened that bitcoin is the logical choice for the criminal to use when he does his money laundering act. Of course, the dignity of bitcoin will be reduced to those who saw the bad side of it but those who have trust in bitcoin and has knowledge of it know that the features of bitcoin are good compare to the traditional system.
2982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Gamblers! What is your excuse to avoid a game with 0% House Edge? on: December 16, 2020, 10:52:21 PM
I thought the same thing. Creating and maintaining a website costs money. They also need to pay money to employees. Therefore, a gambling site should earn money. If a zero casino advantage is set, then there is some other earnings that players are not told about. Personally, this fact would stop me from playing on this site.

Running one would really be having an expense.This kind of site doesnt really need employees to pay but you can only run for yourself which means
you dont need to spend up that much compared to those casinos which does have lots of games integrated to it but to think that this site
does still have a bit of expense like maintaining the site ex. domain and other things which really involves money and if you do make out
a business that isnt really gaining revenue or profit then you would definite pull off some funds into your pocket.So its really pointless
on running one if you arent really making money.
All websites do have an expense in existing and maintenance. If you are the one who built your own casino with just simple games, The cost of it will not really be expensive than a big casino, and this where you can apply that 0% house edge. There are also ways to have revenue like adding some fees on withdrawal on top of the transaction fee which is not that good for gamblers.

Even a 0% house edge casino is released, there won't be any guarantee that people will take part in it. There are some 0% house edge casino before that didn't survive the competition and burned out in the way by those low house edge casinos that are actively giving promotion to make people hear their casino. Gamblers would basically choose the casino that is giving the promotion than stick with a 0% house edge casino.
2983  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin finally reached $20k on: December 16, 2020, 10:26:56 PM
Bitcoin is now at a price of $ 21,000 which is almost close to my prediction by the end of this year it will hit a price of $ 22,000.
The increase in the price of Bitcoin past the resistance price of $ 20,000 is finally reached, this will make Bitcoin demand even higher.
And I am sure that the current increase in the price of Bitcoin will attract other big companies to invest in Bitcoin. If this happens
the Bitcoin price can continue to skyrocket.
Well, your prediction might get achieved. The price doesn't stop increasing last night and the price might reach $22k a few hours from now after some correction will happen. That's right that this might be the opening door for some people and companies to invest in bitcoin. The 20k mark posts are everywhere on my social media, This can make people trust bitcoin a little bit but this rally won't last long I think.
2984  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can 2FA be Hacked? on: December 15, 2020, 11:53:53 PM
Recently my Facebook Account was Hacked which was protected by 2FA. I was thinking that 2FA was very advance security. But I was Wrong. My Account was hacked and hacker change all my email and Phone Number. Has anyone faced same problem please reply in post. If someone has recovered hacked account please reply with information.
I believe that everything could be hacked even you have layers of security, Hackers have different methods of doing their thing and 2FA is not that much security for "god-like hackers". 2FA can improve your account security exponentially but there's some way to bypass it. You might be hacked physically by having the hacker access your security device and steal the necessary information there. If your device is stolen in real life it would basically give a great potential risk to your accounts. It would be better not to share any information with everyone especially if your account has good money in it and if you value your account so much, You could be a target just by sharing some info with someone.
2985  Economy / Gambling / Re: A BRAND NEW BITCOIN CASINO FOR ALL CRYPTOENTHUSIASTS! on: December 15, 2020, 11:10:17 PM
This would really be a big issue for those gamblers who do really give out important when it comes to anonymity or wont tend out to give personal details because if they
do really make it mandatory then this place is just like similar to those fiat online casinos that exist.

One of the biggest hindrance or factors on why some gambling sites online didnt really able to get players aside from shitty game offering but also with this KYC problem too.

If i were op then they should really be needing some changes when it comes to player verification yet this one will be messing up the business.
Anonimity is pretty important for some of the gamblers and this KYC requirement is the long problem of those newly built casinos because of the law. Having the KYC requirement on a new casino would make it pretty disadvantageous for them knowing that there is some existing casino offering the same games and features without having that KYC requirement and on top of that they are established ones.

2988  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I quit smoking and buy Bitcoin every week on: December 10, 2020, 11:01:41 PM
Hey folks,

I decided to quit smoking today and buy Bitcoin every Sunday. A pack of cigarettes I smoke is 8€. It cost me 56€ per week. So every Sunday, I will buy Bitcoin without checking if the price went up or down. Even if it goes to the moon, I will keep buying. I will edit this post frequently in the future. This Sunday I will start investing 56€ in Bitcoin every  Sunday. I will keep this doing as long as possible and let's see what is going to happen.

I believe that at least I will invest in something that I believe, instead of wasting money on unhealthy cigarettes. Maybe some of you can do the same.

Wish me luck Cool
Nice decision!!

I know it's hard to quit smoking all of a sudden but I think you can do it, You could also try to reduce the cigarette sticks per day to adjust your body to the lust for cigarettes. I myself quit from my vices back then and I'll be honest that it is one of the hardest days of my life. It's good that you made buying bitcoin a part of your motivation to quit your smoking habit.

I hope that this thread will be updated until the day you don't have the urge to smoke. I also hope you don't get thoughts of coming back in the middle of the process.
2989  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitamp Bitcoin Web Wallet - Send & Receive Bitcoin Instantly! on: December 10, 2020, 10:38:54 PM
I have suggestion for Bitamp team to be more active in social media platforms and maybe create youtube channel with some video, explanations and promotion.
That will help everyone including newbies and more people will hear about it.
Also add dark theme for Bitamp wallet.

I agree, I'm only seeing that they have only one social media account which is Twitter and it is not active today. Social media today is one of the best way to promote a product and there are good times to promote it as well. You can take advantage of the recent bitcoin bull run and promote the wallet into social media, I'm pretty sure that some strangers would develop a curiosity and could probably take the chance of using bitamp wallet.
2990  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to hold BTC balance used for trading on: December 10, 2020, 10:00:31 PM
Well, most traders maintain their asset value using stable tokens such as USDT, DAI, and TUSD. We don't want to lose the value of our assets due to the high volatility of the market so the solution would be a stable token.
2991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Effective tips to maximize low wager slot games on: December 10, 2020, 09:26:15 PM
It's really complicated for me to play slots I didn't know that there are some slots that accepts lower bets well I'm not really into it slots since I barely win than losing. I think that was only good for players who have lots of funds to play with.
This is why there are many available games in a casino. Not everyone prefers and has the luck to play on a slot, If you can't do well like me just avoid playing. People in the slots are aiming for the jackpot and having just a little amount of capital is a factor that will make you lose. I've dried up many times on a slot having not enough balance before I hit up the target price.
2992  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The biggest 10 countries that gamble the most. on: December 10, 2020, 08:48:41 PM

The List is not fully accurate because some countries still missing in the list. Nigeria is not listed among . West Africa Nigeria is a country where gambling has almost turned to means of peoples livelihood. Another country that love Gambling which is not among the list is China . Chinese people are lovers of gambling and contributed so much to the global gambling industry .
This won't be accurate but this is based on the statistics and those statistics came from registered casinos. As far as I know, there are many gamblers in Nigeria but the casino there is not well regulated and many illegal casinos are operating there.

I am also thinking why China isn't included, Their Gambling city Macau is the Las Vegas aike in Asia.
2993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Questions about buying, holding, staking altcoins on: December 10, 2020, 07:20:48 PM
Chuky, best comment, thank you.

I had to admit, I thought about buying Zilliqua too, the project seems to be awsome, just want the best safest hot wallet in my hands. If it is Trust Wallet, then I will download this. Thanks.

I also interests in RSR, crypto.com coin, today these are the top5 altcoins with the lowest risk, and with possible high reward I think.
If you are confident with your research so go for it, It's better to buy some assets based on your own research. Your research will become your stepping stone in the future that will make you conduct easier research as your experience pile up.

I am a user of trust wallet and haven't experienced any difficulties or problems using it.

Please also secure your backups in every wallet you use. It will become very handy in some situation.
2994  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what is your unforgettable experience in trading? on: December 10, 2020, 06:19:08 PM
Each of us surely has an unforgettable experience in trading and winning or losing a massive amount can be considered an unforgettable moment. But I think the unforgettable moment is the way you gather the outcome. I'm not that expert in trading but I have an unexpected loss that I experienced. I have accidentally fallen asleep while I was on futures trading and this happened without setting up a stop-loss. I got liquidated and when I wake up it feels very bad. This is a lesson that I won't be forgotten, The loss hits me hard.
2995  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cryptocurrency Beginner on: December 09, 2020, 11:47:46 PM
Hey guys! I am very new to cryptocurrency and I am seeking advice on how and where to invest. I do not have enough to buy an entire bitcoin. I am wondering if it is better to buy altcoin and convert it to bitcoin later. There is so much information on the internet that it is sometimes overwhelming. That's why I am seeking your advice and getting involved in this community.
You don't need to buy a whole bitcoin, It's not wise to buy altcoin and convert it into bitcoin because there is some spread between buy and sell of an altcoin and it can reduce the value of your initial investment to crypto. You can purchase bitcoin on localbitcoins with just a .0xxx bitcoin amount if you don't have enough fiat yet to buy.

There are many guides in this forum for newbies and this board is the best for questions like this.
2996  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Scammers are using the name of Airdrop to take the wallet's private key. on: December 07, 2020, 09:15:36 PM
~~~
Who da heck goes around to do airdrops in this present date. Managing through BOUNTIES social media tasks is much better. I know most forum user's might have already fallen to this trick.
Many people consider Airdrop as free money, so people participate in various airdrop in the hope of getting something for free. But scammers take advantage of people’s interests here, they create different types of fake airdrop websites and promote them using different media.
So we should not think that any crypto user no longer participates in airdrop, there are still many users who easily fall into such traps.
Right, There are still straight up newbies who just discovered cryptocurrency by signing up or joining airdrop because they hear that it has free money in it. Airdrop might be tempting but scammers are milking the airdrop scene as much as possible.
We don't know, there might be a complete newbie that heard this airdrop from someone and bought 1 ETH for the sake of this airdrop  Roll Eyes
2997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do the odds of other outcomes matter to you? on: December 07, 2020, 08:42:23 PM
I will only follow the spread odds because I don't have time to analyze the teams that will compete...
not very often on target but quite effective for bettors who don't have time to analyze the team that will compete.
This is what new bettors do when they don't know how to analyze or don't have time like you to check each team. I myself admit that I bet on the better odds before without checking the teams who are playing, I did this kind of move when I was just a beginner but a little hungry trying out how betting works. I know it's not that advisable to bet that kind of way but I am satisfied with the results before (I'm just pretty lucky back then). The more the bettors who rely on better odds the more it will stack up and can result in a loss or the least amount of profit. We do have different ways of nailing the highest winning probability but I think as a newbie it is better to rely on the winning odds than to choose randomly.
2998  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Different opinions about bitcoin on: December 07, 2020, 07:57:31 PM
I would not say that people who make the Bitcoin comparison with gambling are without brains 😁 May be you have read some words tearing up them from some concrete context. Because in case a person just heard about Bitcoin, rushed up it to buy without learning anything about it and what to do with it after, like will deal with the process - so in such case Bitcoin may appear a really pure gambling. And we saw lots of examples in real life. What I am agree with that really Bitcoin requires brains from its holder. It is not a secret.
And what about Bitcoin and everyday currency - of course from year to year crypto more and more spread, used and demanded. Crypto become more common thing than unusual. But in opinion it will not have so much power in order to displace totaly banks, fiat money and so on. Too many nuances and reasons for this.
I agree, We people do have a different perspective about bitcoin, They might be unknowledgeable who lacks information about bitcoin, there is average who knows the key information or knows the common information about bitcoin and there is the bitcoin guru who knows the technical side of bitcoin.  Some people's perspective about bitcoin is when they have it there is the risk of losing its value and they define that risk as to the gambling itself. I know it's wrong to think that way but we shouldn't be mean to them but instead tell them to learn more about bitcoin itself.
2999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy 5 coins and wait till each of them grows 10%, then sell on: December 07, 2020, 06:55:58 PM
Theoretically speaking it makes sense but if we apply it on the cryptomarket it would be pretty bad since each altcoin has a different reaction to the market and the chance to take a loss is high. There are many altcoins out there that declined hard and don't get up to the crash. And I think it is not worth spending the time researching for your top 5 alts vs staying on the best that you think has the possibility to make you a profit.
3000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops or "Scam-drops"? on: December 07, 2020, 06:10:16 PM
Airdrops are free of charge, if someone asks you to send them money they are not airdrops, they are not real tokens and they are not doing it the right way and they are scammers. There is no airdrop in the world that would ask you for money, there is no way of projects to ask money that way and would get away with it, it is impossible to expect people to pay you for working for you, it makes no sense.
It means all those "airdrops" you see that asks for money are not airdrops, they are scammers. This is why the moment you see someone ask you money, get away as further away from them as you can, delete the telegram bot, delete the channels, unfollow the twitter account and basically forget about them. The longer you look at the offer the harder it would be to get away.
This is one sign of determining a worthless airdrop. Why would a project be leeching off people from people if they want the airdrop to be successful. If they want to have support from their potential holders, they should provide it everything on it even if it is for a gas fee or whatever it is. There is so many worthless airdrops in the market and obviously don't show any effort of the dev.
I just have more hopes on the airdrops of existing projects, They have more value in the market though their requirement or task varies.
