1981  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Binance acquiring PH firm to secure VASP & EMI licenses on: September 23, 2022, 04:11:26 PM
If they acquired a license dito sa pinas I think it's a good thing for PH customers kagaya natin dahil di na natin masyado need isipin yung banning and other legality risk though may downside padin like increased requirements sa KYC and possible strengthen tax sa crypto.
1982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: testnet airdrops on: September 23, 2022, 02:44:51 AM
i follow testnet airdrop a lot and it really wastes my time, usually testnet airdrop is used to test a crypto project before switching to mainnet, like using fake money before making it real money, so no one really pays me with real money, at basically tesnet money is just fake money that can't be exchanged for real money, so I no longer participate in the testnet airdrop event because I don't get paid, so think again about joining an airdrop like that

Meanwhile, I see more people making money from testnet than participating in bounty campaigns or junk airdrops. Projects running testnet not all will distribute rewards to their test users. They only distribute to actual testers and give comments so that they can improve their product better than before mainnet, test users regularly interact on their testnet community.

The fact that you do not receive the reward may be that you did not analyze the project before joining, secondly, that you did not make an effort to help them perfect the product, but only participated superficially in the hope of receiving a reward. Testnet is not like the airdrop you are participating in, just spam and you will be rewarded, it requires seriousness and diligence to implement.
I agree to this. I've been on the same situation that I didn't get rewarded from the testnet airdrop but my friend told me that I only contributed a little effort and I did wrong the wrong thing. Usually testnet airdrop needs some money for gas fee and other requirements to be considered as participant. This isn't the usual airdrop where participants do requirements such as spreading the project, promoted or getting referrals. Testnet airdrops also has less abusers since we need money for gas fee. Though not every testnet has a guaranteed reward, So be meticulous on choosing a project if you are aiming for that reward.
1983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 22, 2022, 08:49:11 PM
Kind of crazy that Mayweather is saying him and McGregor are going to rematch and McGregor is saying he’s not interested. Starting to seem like Mayweather is losing his shine a bit if he’s chasing MMA fighters around for fights. I sort of thought he’d be retired by now but he keeps fighting exhibitions. He’s addicted to boxing.

Can't really blame him because that is Money Mayweather's passion and he is doing his best to do some exhibition fights anywhere in the world while he still can and while he's still known to the public. No denying that doing some exhibition fights is one of his easiest way to make money because of what he had achieved in his time. Sooner or later, that fire that keeps him fighting will burn-out and even Mayweather can't evade that.
That's true, Remember the Mayweather vs Logan Paul fight? I didn't believe that Mayweather would fight Logan Paul even on an exhibition boxing match even their weight differences are far different from each other. It's about money and it's what we are all thinking for the reason why Mayweather agreed. Mayweather is retired but I think he is still utilizing his strength and take a chance in making money thru his boxing skills. Shall we expect another Mayweather odd exhibition match?
1984  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much money do you leave in crypto casino? on: September 22, 2022, 08:20:40 PM
Even I'm playing on a mostly on a regular basis, My rule of thumb is not to leave any balance on my account after my gambling session. I'm doing this on most of the casino I play but there's a rare instances that I don't withdraw and leave it there. One example is when gas fees is ridiculously high and I'm at a loss if I withdraw it, I tend to wait for the fee to go down before I withdraw and also this is only applicable on a reputable casino.
1985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When betting becomes to high on: September 22, 2022, 08:00:11 PM
Have you ever had an experience betting in which you knew that you were going over the limits of you finances and still continued? I have one playing a game, it was absorbing plenty of my time and despite me knowing it, I was kind of hooked on it. It was not a financial problem, but left me wondering how easy is to actually fall into a bad habit and how difficult is to break it.
I had some experience having the same situation as you. Mostly I tend to over time and make myself overbudget when I really like a new game that I am playing. Having a constant win and enjoying a new game really makes me entertained and even I go over budget, I'm only spending only another half of my next gambling budget, I guess I also have a control even I'm going over budget. In my case, I think I can't control myself playing again and again but I'm strong in managing my finance about gambling. I think you should set yourself up a planner of gambling hours and If you spend over time on playing, Have yourself a overtime limit like 1 hour maximum.
1986  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invitation to teach Bitcoin in a school on: September 22, 2022, 07:22:15 PM
Your good deeds escalated in a good way man! It seems that your community is interested in taking part on your voluntary needs. Apart from teaching the same class again about bitcoin, There's a high chance that you will be invited again on a different school or teach bitcoin on your community given that your students might share their knowledge about bitcoin to their parents and also be interested in learning more about bitcoin/cryptocurrency. This proves that small good deeds can be a gateway to a better opportunity in spreading good things.
1987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins will not survive the bear market? on: September 21, 2022, 10:53:14 PM
Does surviving or not depend on the amount of demand?
Or does it depend on the quality of the tech behind the project? Those 2 don't necessarily go hand in hand.
It depends on several points, not only on the amount of demand but also on the utility, trust, people behind, strong team, promotions, fundamentals, and also other values. It is not easy to build the trust and reputation to make certain altcoins become very valuable. There may be projects that seem too good to be true, but in fact, they cannot realize the utility of the projects because they are once more, too good to be true.
Many projects are failed to realize their use case and also road map due to the hard competition in the crypto industry, moroeverthe projects that are only following the hype, like the meme coins, Defi project types, games, and many others. As long as they are only following, the perentage to grow up and survuve during this beairhs era is very small.
That's true, There are many factors in order for a project to survive. A project can't survive on just a single factor. We've seen many project that has a lot of demand on it's release but after sometime it's going down because project seems lacking of other factors that makes other project survive even on bear market. I believe that having a strong team, team seriousness, good fundamentals and project utility is one of the most important factors that makes project survive on every part of the market cycle.
1988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Suggest a promising project at an early stage? on: September 21, 2022, 09:56:29 PM
Honestly, it's very hard to tell right now especially that most of those shtprojects are just starting to lose their funds and it's near to abandon thei project, judgeing them right now is hard. I've seen new project concepts that is new to the market but I don't want to drop it here since my list of projects is becoming thinner and thinner each week. I don't want to have a ruckus because of my suggestion or unsolicited feedbacks.
1989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Who makes such predictions? on: September 21, 2022, 09:34:18 PM
It's what makes speculations fun, Predicting what closest price we are gonna end up on a certain span of time. It might be a realistic or too unreal but we based those number on the facts that we know and getting closer to our prediction and having some debates and insights also makes us knowledgable. Speculating is fun especially if we are anticipating on it.
1990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Now it's time for staking on: September 20, 2022, 11:48:38 PM
Previously, I also really wanted to do staking in a certain platform that is trusted and reputable in order to keep my assets secured.
But, after checking the staking programs, with the amount that I have, I can to do staking and prefer to let my assets be in my personal wallet. Why? Because the result of staking is not as high as I expect  Grin
The common APY is quite small although with a longer time for investment. That is probably because my amount is only small enough so this is not worhty.
But if you find a trusted platform that pays higher and you have some big amounts, you may try it, as long as you are also willing to use the assets for investment. But onc emore, be careul and wiser to do this decision, at least you ahve analysied and calculated th staking process and results.
Profit in staking will always depend on how much you invest, most of the time $1000 is not even enough for you to get a $100 profit in staking, that only means this is not that profitable if you are just a small time investor. Some site already shows the possible profit that you can get, if it’s not ok with you then better not to proceed. I still prefer to invest on my own and trade on my own, by this you can make real money here even if you have a small capital.
That's true, Staking a small amount won't give you too much value in return though it's still profitable compared to letting your money sit on the banks. Staking is a passive way to earn money and I don't feel so bad about the APY of the most reputated staking platforms given that they will make sure that your staked asset is safe and will increase it's value over the time.
1991  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Microstrategy purchased again 301BTC. Is this a sign? on: September 20, 2022, 10:55:46 PM
I don't think that Microstrategy buying bitcoin is a bearish indicator. They are accumulating BTC for a long time now, they keep announcing only their buying moves. We should know that they have bought BTC first before they announce it and I think they are delaying their announcement to make them somehow control the crowd that possibly ride the waves of them buying.
1992  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I started investing in crypto 4 years ago but recently did I made profits on: September 20, 2022, 09:59:31 PM
My first defi happened to be DegoFinance which I purchased earlier in 2021 and went sky up high as 33$ a few months later up and I couldn't sell because I was aiming much higher at that period as I was still very much new in the game. And I wouldn't say it got rug pull also but rather the market's unexpected fall affected it. So it couldn't also withstand the pressure of selling off too.
A common mistake for newbies who are trading is being attacked by their own greed. This happened most of the time especially if the projected profit is way higher than the expected one, greed shows itself until the price go downfall and the trader can't sell knowing that there will be a regret later. Iv'e experienced it multiple times and even I who trades for years now are getting caught in this kind of situation sometimes. It's hard to perfect the market psychology.
1993  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Axie Infinity Philippine Thread on: September 20, 2022, 09:09:10 PM

Yep, kahit nga SLP quantity reward is mababa na din, mostlikely yung mga higher ranks nalang ang kikita dahil sila lang yung medyo may mataas na SLP rewards and addition to that is the leaderboard axs reward.
1994  Economy / Economics / Re: 6 Digital banks are now involved in the cryptocurrency on: September 19, 2022, 11:48:56 PM
It is my first time visiting the Philippines, so I don't have a comprehensive understanding of this country, but I am aware from what I read on the news that it is a cryptocurrency-friendly country. There are many bitcoiners and cryptocurrency investors in the Philippines, and the government is also not against cryptocurrencies, so the presence of digital banks in the Philippines is not a shock and not something new in the world., but the fact that the government of the Philippines has six digital banks with the ability to participate in cryptocurrency can be an important step forward for the government of the Philippines.

If you are in the Philippines you can visit the Bitcoin island which people call the island of Boracay, there any payment can use Bitcoin even more than 100+ outlets including small and large shops, restaurants, hotels, tourist entrance tickets, many people vacation there because want to enjoy its real payout on Bitcoin which is useful there.
So with the government backing the Philippines cryptocurrency being a fast growing country towards Bitcoin, people there started to promote that this island is bitcoin that can be used like fiat money.

Small shop that accepts Bitcoin payments.

I'm from the Philippines but I didn't know such Bitcoin island in Boracay exist. As far as I know there are many small stores in Philippines right now that are accepting bitcoin and other cryptocurrency as a payment for their products and services. People in boracay I think is just taking advantage of their island of being a tourist site, Boracay often got foreign visitors and having bitcoin as a option to pay means giving foreigners additional payment method. I guess we are having a great adoption on Boracay Island.
1995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Casino tokens such as BFG, OWL or TFS on: September 19, 2022, 11:21:48 PM

Everybody has his own strategy. I agree that every portfolio needs to have bitcoin in its wallet but my share is about 50%. Other than that, I have a dozens of altcoins varying from ETH, BNB to shitcoins as SHIB and a small part of casino tokens.
There are so many shitcoins in the market now and some persons are taking the risks of holding large quantities of coins that may not survive the market in a long run. Bitcoin is the major coins that could safe us from the market in a long run so it will be good for us to rely on Bitcoin maybe with large amount of our funds than holding some project tokens that may not have enough liquidity to go far in a long range of time. There are still some project tokens that are good to be hold for just a short while since the market is not that predictable.
Well yes, We have different strategy in keeping our portfolio, We all have different risk appetite and this levels our percentage of altcoins we have. Having majority of your portfolio into altcoin doesn't mean that you are holding a bigger risk against other. I think it's all about the coins we are holding. Like these casino tokens, I'm a bit uncertain to these honestly and I don't plan to hold or acquire one soon.
1996  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best Bitcoin mixer for mixing Bitcoin from Casino? on: September 19, 2022, 10:52:50 PM
Recently I’ve been notified by my local wallets that I might receiving tokens from gamblingand they give me warning to avoid doing it or else they will freeze my account. I really don’t know how they knew that my Bitcoin came from the casino but I’m doing a play safe and use Bitcoin mixer to all my funds coming from casino.

I’m looking for the most cheap fee and safe at the same time. I don’t have all info on the available mixer right now in Bitcoin but it will be helpful if someone can provide a list.

I’m currently using unijoin mixer butit has a random transaction fee which sometimes hurts when I randomly pick the highest fee which is around 3% since I mixed most of the time due to the nature of my gambling activities.
I guess you are using coins.ph, I've been flag by the same reason and told me that I'm at risk of freezing my account due to gambling transactions. I guess they are tracking their customers transactions. I recommend to use non-custodial wallet than mixing the coins every time. I'm using a non-custodial to receive my signature campaign reward and casino funds then transfer it to coins.ph, So far I don't have any problem after I do that certain steps.
1997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will you buy a token if its price never went up and you could never sell it? on: September 19, 2022, 10:35:18 PM
I don't see a sense of buying a token that never cannot be sold on the market, It's not worth having unless it has a significant utility that we need or want. As far as I know binance somehow did a similar token that cannot be transfer a like of a soul token that is inbound to your account. Somehow it has utility and having the trust that people give to binance, I'm sure someone want's to purchase.
1998  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Opened another business were I accept Bitcoin on: September 18, 2022, 03:54:44 PM
The legal status if is banned then its problematic for you because the government will take actions to curb your activities despite your efforts so make wise moves as when you have open business then you are under surveillance by the authorities so keep all things in mind.

But it's really appreciable that you have opened up new business accepting btc giving customers a new opportunity to pay through this medium but are there sufficient customers paying in it ?
Only few might be interested at first but it will sure give their Area an idea that it does exist and that they are capable of accepting BTC as payment. Though in mu country now the adoption when it comes in paying using crypto lesses since many regretted that they use it before to pay for their online shopping and to load their mobile that when the price of BTC pump they didn’t have any holdings. So people I knew before who tends to use crypto to buy load or pay online plans now to accumulate more as investment than to use it in their spending.
No doubt that someone will be curious about the crypto payment you are offering and let's just hope that someone will take it seriously, That person might be a repeat customer just because of the payment method. Once bitcoin is hitting it's all time high again, those people who saw that you are accepting BTC in your business will suddenly remember your business for sure.

I've done the same mistake on spending my bitcoin in the past on such bills and prepaid loads. I regret it and I won't be doing the same mistake again.
1999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you being secretive about your gambling activity? on: September 18, 2022, 03:30:42 PM
Are you hiding your gambling activity from your loved ones, family or so?
Or are you being 100% open about gambling?

 Huh
I'm not hiding it or showing it to them, Most of my close relative knows that I play gambling and it's fine with them but I myself don't any open any topics that is related to gambling, I don't want them to get exposed to it. Though there's a time that they talk to me about a gambling crypto gambling casino and we talked to it and I ask if he wants to gamble on it but he said no, and given my advise about what kind of things he can experience when he play on a casino, basically I warn him not to play since addiction hits everyone.
2000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Choices: Gamble or Help the poor ? on: September 18, 2022, 02:49:23 PM
In order to understand the psychology of gamblers, i have decided to come up few questions for discussions, and here is the first one.

Suppose that you are a responsible gambler who have allocated a certain portion of money to gamble each month. Now you came across a poor person/family who is in urgent need of money. Will you quit the gambling for that month and give the allocated money to the poor family or will you prefer to gamble as you can't live without gambling ?

Realisticly, I won't sacrifice something that makes me happy or entertained like quiting on gambling, I'm not an addict or I can't stop gambling, I know myself today that I'm a responsible gambler and helping a poor family with the needs urgent amount of money  is very fine for me but I won't sacrifice anything even If I help someone. If I gambled and won, I won't be sorry for myself I donated the whole winnings I got from the casino on that day.
