301  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Ang kahalagahan ng pag gamit ng iba't ibang email kaugnay sa ating crypto on: June 22, 2020, 02:27:30 PM
~

Kasi sa kahit na ilang email pa gawin mo, phone number mo parin ang pinakamahalagang verification ngayon, hence making multiple email accounts is not that secured.

Maybe you should consider indicating in the OP this:

Weekly check if your email or your password is pwned or common by using:
https://haveibeenpwned.com for emails
https://haveibeenpwned.com/Passwords for passwords obviously

Overall, ang seguridad ng account mo is nakadepende padin sa kung gaano ka complex ang password mo and gaano mo tinatago yung private and personal phone number mo, and most likely depende din sa security ng devices mo and mga activities na maaaring magpavulnerable nito.
302  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Nasubukan niyo na bang mag Stock Trading? on: June 22, 2020, 12:20:24 PM
With most if not all Philippine stock brokers, auto kaltas na agad ung tax every time you buy or sell, which is really good in my opinion para hindi na hassle na isasama mo pa ung stocks mo pag magffile ka ng taxes every year.

Paano ito nakakaltas? I mean kasi madaming online broker ngayon na wala namang tax na nakaindicate eh and you get lahat ng profits na makukuha mo sa pagtrade mo depende sa kung what price mo ito isinesell, parang crypto trading lang din. And AFAIK pag naghire ka ng stock broker mo na ang occupation is trading, 20 pesos lang ang pinaka minimum na kukuhain ng broker then pag lagpas na 5k (i think) .25% nalang ang kukuhain nito (based lamang sa nabasa ko dati). Therefore, I don't think na may tax ang online trading kahit stocks pa yan or forex.
303  Other / Off-topic / Re: Quiz: Signature Campaign Guidelines on: June 21, 2020, 11:16:13 AM
The questions are more difficult, I do not think anyone will get the full mark, but it is the basics, try to learn and enjoy.

Can you make more questions and make it random? Trying it first was easy and the second try would be a piece of cake as it only has fixed set of questions in a fixed order. Better use some questions such as longest campaign, shortest campaign, even put questions such as "was there a Facebook Signature Campaign here in the forum?" or "Signature can use pictures?" that can be answered by yes no maybe and "whut?". My suggestion is kinda humorous but it would be a fun game if the questions are random and many.
304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Vietnam bursts an illegal casino who used to handle bets worth $3 billions on: June 21, 2020, 10:36:01 AM
Vietnam authorities are claiming to burst an online casino that used to handle bets worth $3 billion, ...

Used to? Therefore it means they've only had 3Billion in the past yet where is it now? Maybe they've given it back before they have closed. But do you have the link of proof that their gambling site spread across the whole world ending up scamming a lot of users? And if all the article stated was fact, why are there no user's in here posting a thread about such scam? I don't know vietnam but I think suppressing casinos and having high standards in online gambling organizations would simply urge vietnameses to operate underground.
305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chess on Sports/eSports betting on: June 21, 2020, 10:04:21 AM
On the side of streaming
There's a bunch of streamers on twitch that's playing chess right now and you can't believe that it has a lot of viewers. One of those popular streamers is GM Hikaru, he also played on those tournaments that I've mentioned. Even the top 1 overall rating, GM Magnus Carlsen, is also streaming in twitch.

Are you pertaining to Tyler1?? LOL that shoutcasting gamer is in fact popular due to his entertaining streams that's why some of his watchers /viewers started to be interested in playing chess and other streamer follows. Meanwhile, GMs are already famous in streaming live games and even on stage performances but mostly with no betting or gambling involved (some are tournaments). But overall, like betting in boxing, games could be fixed if one prefers to accept bribe over winning hence the bet takers wins in the end.
306  Other / Meta / Re: Meriting: local boards posters vs rest of boards posters on: June 21, 2020, 09:30:21 AM
Do not cry just because of you are not smart enough with respect to meriting and campaign manager's criteria!

Nothing will change unless you change yourself:
1. Buy an account:
account sales are allowed, BUT ACCOUNT SALES ARE DISCOURAGED
2. Learn a local language and earn merits.
3. Enjoy slots in campaigns.

I don't think the OP is crying nor whatsoever, he's just expressing the unavoidable fact that most merits are from the local and some people are abusing it but then again, when was the last time you are merited for your quality post? The only merit you've receive in the last 120 days is from cabalism13 which contains only 1 merit. No wonder why you encourage people to buy an account as the forum's (un)official rules clearly stated that account sales are discouraged. Also, learning local language? Isn't your local language were your mother tongue hence you don't need to LEARN it? Merits isn't earned for fluency dude, it was earned because your post is either helpful, humorous, or informative, and not because you posted it in straight fluent local language. Lastly, when was the last time you had oined a campaign? Please next time be kind to other users and stop encouraging what should be discourage. And of course, do what you say.

I agree with some of it, Yes some time merit abuse is happening in local boards, but I do also in favor of meriting in local boards due to multiple reasons. I see many posters are making quality posts in their local language instead of English, as everyone has a grip on their local language, Secondly, there are many users who are making efforts to educate the newbies in their local language section by making posts, Where I believe many posts are merit deserving. Thirdly, It's my personal opinion, I usually check my local language thread to see if someone is making efforts in making some quality posts, I usually give him merits, you can see my history I have mostly spent my merits in local boards and especially to jr members of this forum, But alas these days I'm low at merit, actually 0  Grin

Indeed, there's no wonder why newbies prefer posting in their local boards because their mother tongue (local lang) is a much suitable way for them to express their queries, suggestions, and ideas further than the English. And also, a lot of threads or post are merited due to the fact that they deserve it with their clear good point and idea.
307  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: BDO - BPI - Wirecard $2.1 Billion Fraud Case on: June 21, 2020, 08:25:51 AM
Worst is nag resigned ang CEO nila and effective immediately after ma disclosed na di mahanap ng auditors yung nawawalang funds na $2.1 B so si interim ang sasagot sa mga issues na yan.

And the worst outcome is that their stock price is going lower and lower now. I've seen yung recent na galaw ng kanilang stocks and they went down almost 50% mula nung pumutok ang issue. Imagine from 100EUROS now they're down to 24EUROS only for a week. Many are now panic selling their shares and investors are the ones whom are hugely affected by that issue. Hopefully their case would be soon closed and the missing 2.1B would be taken back to the company para bumalik na ang ganda ng market nila.

309  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Nasubukan niyo na bang mag Stock Trading? on: June 21, 2020, 06:54:18 AM
~

Would this be taxable?
310  Other / Meta / Re: Posts disappearing on: June 21, 2020, 06:10:25 AM
Something very weird is going on, my posts keep missing or should I say disappearing?? Not tagged as shit post by moderators but just missing, anyone facing such weird thing??

As you are a newbie, it seems that it's just your first encounter of deleted and seemingly a ghostly phenomenon on deleted posts, but the issue and answer is indeed simple. If you posted a reply on a thread that seems to be useless/off-topic to the section it posted/or violating the forum's rules, you would not be notified in the deletion of your post. Also, better post longer 200 characters, but still have an idea, a good one, that would be implicitly explained in your post, therefore making it of a good quality and your conspiracy and doubt on your post deletion would end.
311  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Futures trading on: June 21, 2020, 05:39:40 AM
~
on my list is Binance, Bitmex and Okex. Any thoughts?

Binance is good as it has many features and even lets you play games in their platform. Though some features requires KYC, I don't think it would be an issue as you've said that you wanted to take higher risks, also, Binance have a lot of users/traders that are active hence it's volume was fair enough. This isn't to promote Binance but I think it's the best if you would pursue daily crypto trading and focus in it.

But if you really love to have a long term (that you can still be using in the future) trading, better reconsider trying Stock Trading or Forex Trading. Most traders there trades for years and wealth is mostly growing (unless you aren't that good enough)
312  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where could i learn about trading? on: June 20, 2020, 04:56:53 PM
~
Yeah, this is really nice to see topics and discussions like this because so many people are new in trading they are in search of such useful stuff. We can search about it on google or on youtube also so many other ways like making discussions with good traders and taking their view about trading. This forum is also really good and is best for crypto trading learning as so many people shares their views about trading.

LOL you haven't even mentioned anything related nor helpful to the OP, you only repeated and prolonged the context of my post lol. but overall you're right brother.

But to be honest there are still some unanswered questions here in the forum, more specifically queries about trading, such as courses for a beginner in trading crypto or a beginner's guide to trading, and I've been looking for tips here in how to start forex and stock trading but most are often crypto related. But still, it depends on the OP if he/she wanted to do it fast or to learn slow yet sure. Because if he wanted to learn trading and earn fast, soon he'll realize and see loses more than the gains, as trading is a long term lesson and a gradual study.
313  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: BDO - BPI - Wirecard Fraud on: June 20, 2020, 06:41:02 AM
~

I think wala naman. As you've mentioned na statements ng dalwang banko, wala silang kinalaman nor relasyon sa Wirecard and they've said na falsified ang mga documents ng nasabing kumpanya. Therefore, I think, despite the fraud na in which sobrang laking halaga, would have any affect to the users of those banks.

Now recently (7hrs ago to be exact), there's an article published by the Inquirer na nagquit na ang CEO ng wirecard due to their inability to find the 2.1 billion. This is a bad news indeed for the WC investors.

See the link here: Wirecard CEO quits after auditors can’t find $2.1 billion
314  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Military leadership and Democratic leadership which one do u prefer. on: June 19, 2020, 05:32:31 AM
Some countries need strong hand to handle some situations, during military time no minister of a sector is permitted to traveled out a country and no senators is also permitted to traveled out a country and things are moving in accordance of government and also their directives since is only the president that has power to go anywhere for betterment of the country, still everything was in order, even journalist are not permitted to broadcast or dispense any information from government house to any other country.
So what is your suggestion over this.

For me, Military Leadership is a better option than any other kinds of leadership. Why? Simply because people nowadays tend to imply their "rights" yet only seeks more and more things just for their satisfaction. Yes, people have a right and freedom to speech and anything they want to say, yet sooner or later you'll realize they'll use Democracy to kill democracy as well. But it will all depend on how the Military Leadership is processed and used, it can either be forceful or by slow discipline. I've been on the Military training for 2 years and it taught me a much disciplined and understand that we people must put our heads and hearts down to the ground and always think that we are the lowest level. It also taught me that if you wanted to change a system (a leadership, or a country's government), slowly climb and reach the highest position from time to time then change it from the inside.

Are both be possible? AFAIK LoyceV has data on it
I don't have up-to-date data on Ranks, but that's easy to get. It takes less than a day to scrape for all users who had any Merit transactions.
But the next problem is their rank now might be different than their rank when they received Merit. Users grow through the ranks as they earn Merit.

Maybe the way to animate those data is to simply let the top 10 (or 20) race until they reach their maximum merit before going to another rank and the video would simply stop among the top users that reached the upper rank first. You think this would be possible? The animation was simply amazing and useful as for future infographic reference and animating more possible data would be awesome.

The range between @LoyceV's and @Thermos is quite alarming, it's like @LoyceV's is likely to over throne thermos on Merits. Lets keep observation on. But I probably believe Thermos wont want that to happen 😀😀🤸

Theymos didn't really care about merit as we was busy in the development of epochtalk and enhancement of this forum. And he doesn't really onto facing the community and its users, but rather letting other users such as LoyceV to spread good quality posts and helpful information.
316  Economy / Reputation / Re: Earned Merit Race Animation - See if you ever got to top20 merited. on: June 17, 2020, 05:23:44 AM

Edit: I can make animations per request. For a different group of users for example. as suggested by 1miau

Thanks for the animation! Soon, someone will use this as their basis in showing graphs about important data here in the forum.

    Here are my suggestions:
    • Maybe you should also try animating the merit receivers from different ranks as well (i.e. Merited Member - Legendary Members)
    • Merit senders depending by the ranks as well

Are both be possible? AFAIK LoyceV has data on it but the challenge is how could you get everything in chronological order since the merit started. Also, maybe you should just simply make a single thread about those animations or just combine it here and edit the title as "Bitcointalk Data Animation" that would contain all of your works because the ideas are the same.

I was trying to convert the video onto GIF yet can we upload gifs in here? I have cropped the video and the only problem is how can it be played here.
317  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Heads up! "Researchers in Philippines Track Crypto Use By Terrorists" on: June 15, 2020, 08:11:49 AM
    ~
Let's just hope na sana hindi ito gawing rason ng gobyerno to implement a tighter regulation ng cryptocurrency.  After some years, isa lang napansin ko.

Indeed, their security measures had been strengthen recently particularly na sa ID authentication at iba pang verification. If ever na gawin nga ng terorists ang crypto-transaction sa kanilang businesses, mayroong data naman ang mga wallets ng personal information once a certain account/btc address redirects or nagamit ng isang terorista. The good thing here is that they can be anonymous with how they transact, but not totally transparent in whom are behind those transactions.

Bottomline lang dito is that crypto's transparency (thru blockchain transactions) isn't for a bad use. Gamitin nila to, and once na natrack yung address nila, they're done.
318  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: NEW MEMORANDUM OF BIR CIRCULAR NO. 60-2020 on: June 15, 2020, 05:36:26 AM
Tama ka naman, a law is a law and dapat sumunod lahat ng businesses rito, no matter what the platform and what media you use for your business. But then the bottom line is why wouldn't they focus on implementing a strong rule with regards to bigger companies and businesses, in which in fact they CAN postponed their payment in taxes.

Yes. And I'm particularly pertaining to the POGOs. I've did a little research recently kaya ko nasabi na bakit hindi bigger companies and businesses ang unahin and ifocus. Here's what I've found in an article:

Quote from: Christia Marie Ramos of Inquirer.net
At present, there are 60 Pogos licensed by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (Pagcor).
Of this number, 50 are online casino operators based abroad while 10 are Philippine-based.
“One hundred percent of the offshore-based licensees are not paying franchise tax. All of them,” Dy told the Senate panel.

Read the full article here: Majority of licensed Pogos failed to pay P50B in taxes in 2019 — BIR official

After reading the article, masasabi mong sobrang unjust and unfair ng bagong memorandum. Those businesses haven't still paid their full taxes for numerous months from now. Yes, napupunta sa korte and sa hearing, but the investigation was too slow yet the implementation to tax small businesses can happen in less than a month?

Yes, it's their choice. But do they really have choices? None. Dalawa lang 'yon, it's either they comply for the requirements that are too costly (in which in fact nagsimula lang naman magboost ang online businesses [like everyone's choice to survive is to sell online] nang magstart lang ang quarantine), or they stop their small scale businesses and mag work physically risking their lives amidst the fact na hindi pa fully eradicated ang pandemic.
319  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't trade what you can't risk loosing on: June 14, 2020, 11:46:11 AM
You are responsible for your own trade, someone introduced us to Bitcoin trading. He/she will not be responsible for the mistake you have made. While trading a huge sum of money, to earn 1000× of your funds, in two weeks. Found a tweet, “About a dude telling a cryptocurrency Twitter influencer, how he got influenced wrongly. He traded 10BTC and lost all". This could be clout, but serves as a good information. So many cryptocurrency Newbies invest in the first assets that feel okay, without doing their own research.

Pay attention; If you have plenty BTC like the dude above. It's certainly well, you know how to trade, close to what the dude thought. For this reason, holding is the best option. No way 10BTC will be lost (when Holding), allow yourself to “waste" time exploring. Although he learnt his lessons. Such mistakes should not be welcomed.

We have to keep in mind what we can do to improve not only our own lot but that of those around us. Share your Opinion.
That is indeed true, in bitcoin's scenario, it is the best choice to hold it for a while (depending on it's current cost and the its price when you bought it). However you could also lose some of it's value if you converted/sell it to a lower price of its price of you buying it. But that will be just  a small lost for you. So small compared to that man being an example above. And the risk also is very little.
I think he is idiot and is so rampant on btc trading, but I believe he learned a lot from that lost. Imagine losing 10BTC for a very short period of time, such a fool.
Take control of yourself and do not go all in if you knew nothing.
320  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where could i learn about trading? on: June 14, 2020, 11:15:03 AM
Hi. I am somehow new in crypto world and I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on where could I upgrade my trading skills? Any good website with this kind of info? Thank you!
We all have that on the internet. You can find it on whether vlog or blog type. Is it a clever choice if you will join forums that are making topics for trading. There are a lot of relevant opinions out there, and you might also have the best experienced base opinion that you might see. Learn the basics. About when to sell, when to buy, or when to hold. There are also applications and exchange sites that offers demo accounts for traders like IQ Option. It is a good practice for you, specially if it is real time.
