301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Peter Brandt: 99% of Altcoins Will Be Forgotten in Five Years on: September 22, 2019, 10:43:29 PM
In as much as I agree that most altcoins will be forgotten in the near future, but I think 99% is far too much maybe 95% can be justified. When one looks at the type of altcoins coming up everyday, we can only but wonder where we are heading to, as it's clear the team is out to fill their pockets. To make it worst, the ones already existing are dropping badly in value with just a little few still holding up, and these ones holding up are the ones I think holds a tangible position in the future. In all doings let's apply caution and be careful of our holdings.

99 per cent might be too much but I subscribe to his submission. As bitcoin dominance continues to grow, money will keep leaving altcoins and developers will run out of funds sooner or later to continue development and in worse situations, if they have funds in cryptos like Ethereum which is very volatile, they may be burnt quicker. The challenge is to discover those few altcoins that will survive the purge and invest heavily in them
302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What should I do with a 1000$ and what would you do? on: September 22, 2019, 10:15:58 PM
I'll use that $ 1,000 and buy BNB and hold. BNB is the best altcoin after ETH and its current price is very cheap. Buy and hold around 6-10 months, I believe I will get double the profit
But if profits don't double, what are you going to do next, wait and wait? I really don't even know how long we will need to wait with this decision, the idea is quite good but the implementation method is probably lacking development direction and there are still too many limitations. BNB can be a good altcoin but good does not mean that the value can increase rapidly, does not mean that each year will increase, the conditions for the price increase are dependent on the situation and needs of investors, instead of buying and holding, you should have a different direction, create more options, don't just stop at bnb

I my opinion, BNB has been over bought and will probably not reach that projected 50 dollar mark anytime soon, also, now that attention has moved to a more sophisticated platform Nash Exchange whose native token Nex is currently trading at $1.62, now might be the time to jump in if the hype is anything to go by
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No good projects from a long time on: September 18, 2019, 11:58:15 PM
On a more serious note, very few good projects have surfaced this year. I mean projects with real working product to impact lives and improve crypto adoption. Not all these jargon mumbling Whitepaper outputs from IEO money grabbing projects. And that begs the question, has IEO really improved the cryptocurrency space or its just another baptised form of ICO created to grab money from the crypto community
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't be too quick to judge ICOs on: September 18, 2019, 11:51:46 PM
Considering the whole ICO market if you look at it closely you will notice that most of these ICO just collect fund and decide to not speed up implementation and present user with a working product hence most people that fall victim to those determine it as scam To be honest most ICOs are fast at collecting funds but actual work takes years and that mostly brings down the token price to 80% losses Thats not good at all

Exactly. No one will really say its at 99 percentage but a greater percentage of ICOs are scam and this is a majority of the experiment evaluation, people forming a theory on it won't be wrong. Take a simple statistics of all ICOs that launched from late 2017 to late 2018 and how they fared and you will have your answer right in front of you. The loss was colossal and thus it birthed IEOs as good alternatives
305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Stake vs Fixed bounty allocation on: September 18, 2019, 11:46:12 PM
From my experience, stake based bounty allocation is my choice any day any time. In fixed bounty, when allocation pool is not exhausted, the team keeps the tokens to them selves but in stake, all allocation is exhausted irrespective of how little the participants are and this means more rewards unlike in fixed
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Blockchain-based social media worth it? on: September 18, 2019, 09:29:14 PM
After Blockchain's success within the mainstream world, we've seen various implementations of it into areas of finance, notarization of documents, proof of identity, and more. Yet, one of the most exciting implementations of the Blockchain has been social media, in my opinion. The first-ever social media platform was Steem, but other alternatives started to gain traction after it. We now have AKASHA (ETH Blockchain), HyperSpace (AMP cryptocurrency), and even Voice (EOS Blockchain).

With so many Blockchain implementations of a social network, it's becoming evident that this is the industry of the future. Of course, none of the mentioned platforms have been able to overcome Facebook or even Twitter. But the potential is there, to help change our world for the better. Still though, the number of users within these platforms are not comparable to the likes of Facebook.

Which makes me wonder, if Blockchain-based social media platforms are actually worth it? Do you think there's a future for them? Or are they just a niche? Huh

I think the social media niche equally needs a blockchain touch. There are conspicuous problems in social media that can be solved using blockchain. For example security of users data and then advertising right theft which can be solved using the zero knowledge technology. However, implementation is a problem and I hope that one or more of these blockchain social media platforms like Howdoo, Contentos, VID etc can solve it
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mass adoption growing or decreasing? on: September 18, 2019, 08:59:44 PM
I would say growing. It is not as fast as people expected but its surely happening but gradual. Look around you and you see that almost many mobile and telecom companies like HTC, Samsung,  Huawei are now in the blockchain space. Next is the Ecommerce sector because I expect to see Amazon and Alibaba joining the party soon
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top coins to have in my portfolio? on: September 16, 2019, 11:55:08 PM
Hey guys, other than these 10 coins https://cryptotradernews.com/cryptocurrency/10-coins-to-have-in-your-portfolio/ which other tokens should I consider having in my portfolio?

Input is appreciated!

I have sold all my holdings in hydro and Contentos when I found out it was just normal business to the founders and everything written on the Whitepaper was only a gimmick. I am looking to buy an coin that seeks to serve the IoT industry, its called Mtcn from the parent company of Multiven. They have a running dapp (Multiven.io) at the moment where you can purchase loads of IT and IoT devices ranging form softwares to phones and laptops with its native token. I may be holding this one for long if I am done with my research.
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 3 Key Facts About Centralized Cryptocurrency on: September 16, 2019, 11:51:09 PM
Unfortunately, crypto industry is moving towards centralisation. The biggest news depend on SEC decision, on every second exchange you need to pass the KYC to be eligible for withdrawals and even "decentralised" exchanges like IDEX are implementing a user-desktop with KYC.

It is fast steering towards centralization and we cant really blame it on the tech or people calling for it. The free decentralized nature of the Blockchain has given scammers and Internet urchins the freedom to abuse it and tag it a bad name and as it seems, only regulation can salvage what's left of the integrity of the Blockchain and cryptocurrency. I wasn't shocked to see IDEX adopt mandatory KYC for all its users. I am sure this new phenomenon will be spreading soon to other exchanges with time
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think of tokens you promoted and invested down 90% on: September 16, 2019, 11:34:53 PM
By now, one just have to used such situation because it has lingered for over a year since 2018. You are only rich on spreadsheets indeed but once the bounty campaign ends, the team either doesn't list in a good exchange of finds way to delay distribution to ensure that these tokens are down by huge percentage before distribution. More reason I scarcely participate in bounty campaigns anymore
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs vs IEOs? on: September 16, 2019, 11:27:18 PM
there are so many ico i have been part of but nowadays there are a trend is coming in the way of IEO. But i can not figure out why? because IEO is already have tokens on exchange that is why or is there any other reason?

What thoughts you have about it ?

IEOs are fast becoming a shadow o itself because they are not really a guarantee of profits for investors who banked on the campaign yielding High sustained amount of income. I am actually excited at the future beyond IEO. I am waiting for the exciting and innovative offering that will tipple IEO just like it did to ICOs
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Privacy coins getting delisted on: September 16, 2019, 10:49:42 PM
I don't like this news. From what I know OKex doesn't handle fiat, so they should not necessarily comply rules.
On the other hand, it can be a method to avoid hacks/hackers get use of stolen coins, if the other exchanges also comply.

I think its a move made to limit hackers. I am yet to get what prompted the action from Okex, a humanitarian act to curb hackers or just under some directives of a government. But then, could we witness this in more top exchanges? Only time will tell but generally, it doesn't look too God for cryptocurrency because we are all obviously heading to centralization
313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Are airdrops safe? on: September 15, 2019, 11:51:05 PM
all of airdrop campaign are safe, but if some airrop ask our personal identity like private key, personal information or something like phising we must be aware because many of them just are scamming airdrop.

and for me i never participate in shit airdrop campaign
Airdrop left so much shit coins and I do not think that it is worth now to join them, though there are some that really pays but few and sometimes cause for you to get scam when you are not careful on it. Much better to trade than to take risk on something that wont give you a return. It is safe not until they ask KYC for verification.

I suggest you become critical of airdops you fill because many airdrops are fake. While some may not ask for your private keys, mnemonics  or send you phishing links. Many are created to lure participants into giving away their personal data which will be sold to identity thieves or some might just be create to be used to build Telegram channels or twitter accounts. One just have to be very careful
314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shit Exchanges, an end to good projects. on: September 15, 2019, 11:41:49 PM
Some developers do not want to use any fund for listing. Some of them look around for free listing, which us moist times done of decentralized exchange. Any centralized exchange that does not take listing fee, might be a shit exchange.
A good exchange will have what it takes for a good project to succeed.

Yes. After collecting so much money during ICO, they hoard it all and start looking for free listing from Idex or Bilaxy. Look at Sparkster and DigitalBits. That is the reason why IEO is now considered a better way for fundraising by investors.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AMAZON IS A THREAT ON FACEBOOK'S LIBRA on: September 15, 2019, 10:09:51 PM
Amazon cannot be a threat to Facebook libra unless amazon is also planning to launch their own cryptocurrency and there hasn't been any news or rumour about amazon launching a cryptocurrency.

There's been some news of Amazon venturing into the blockchain space and patenting some inventions too. I think I read some on Cointelegraph. What I am not sure of is what Amazons niche would be but if its in same Niche as Facebook's Libra, then it has a stiff competition coming up. Amazon has a very huge market and working product with an excellent character to sell it faster to investors. With the way cryptocurrency is going, I can assure you that these big corporations are coming to blockchain. Most of them are just working underground for now so let's keep our arms folded
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Libra the future anyone wants? on: September 15, 2019, 09:59:55 PM
A rigged game that what everyone wants? I don't think so.

So a private company (Facebook) which been found guilty of data mishandling is confirming, validating and can see every transaction of another private company (lets say Jeff's Locksmith) or private person (judge, solicitor, clerk, cashier, officer....... ) who has never in life done anything wrong, but (Jeff's Locksmith) can not see anything the other private company (Facebook) is doing.

It the same as playing poker, one holding the cards facing him, the other player must have its cards face up, that's a rigged game, a scam, the one how must show its face can not possible win.

I guess Mark Zuckerberg is not really the right person to entrust the large blockchain ecosystem with to manage and play with because of his antecedents to pray on unsuspecting individuals for his financial gains. His marred integrity from selling users private data is one of the subtle strong obstacles in his way of launching the Libra coin. How he scales through is what I will be watching out to see
317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are the scam projects killing entire crypto space? on: September 15, 2019, 09:42:10 PM
I truly believe that the global cryptocurrency adoption that we enthusiasts crave for might not come soon as long as the integrity of this ecosystem remains washed. The centralized world are looking and as well people, are pondering if its worth venturing into with all these scams peddled left and right and if nothing is done fast to control or mitigate these, them I am afraid we will wait longer for adoption. This is my take
318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do You think ICO Investing Is Worse Than Online Gambling on: September 09, 2019, 11:50:14 PM
At least when you gamble, you have the control all over your money whether you have deposited it to the casino where you play. While in ICO, when it's already on the developers it would be hard for you to refund it.
In casino, you can withdraw whenever you want.

Well, control of funds is one area of advantage in gambling. You can have a change of mind and then withdraw your money and head home unlike ICO managers that might block you off from Telegram chat. But also I think that ICO has some advantages too which is tantamount to the effort put into research by the investor  to find a reputable team, better Tokenomics, quality products and extraordinary package which will make the ICO worthwhile in yeilding returns on investment
319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No good projects from a long time on: September 09, 2019, 11:41:12 PM
If we are to be honest with ourselves, we would admit that if Ethereum had been launched in 2018 to 2019, it wouldn't be the force it is today, one of it's advantages is the fact that it's the first blockchain to implement smart contracts and it drove the ICO model in 2017/2018. But if you take a closer look, you would notice that there are superior blockchains in existence but ethereum already made a name for itself.

True. Alot of circumstances has changed especially the behavioral pattern of investors which has directly changed the market. Back then during Ethereum ICO, there were more holding investors than dumpers like we have now and also, the market is saturated too. There's not really a novel coin in the market. We only have improvements on existing cryptocurrency technologies
320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Energi breaks into Top 50 on CMC on: September 09, 2019, 10:55:39 PM
I wrote an article recently about NRG and their growth over the last couple of months, now they have just broken into the top 50 tops on CoinMarketCap. They had no ICO have been in operation for 18 months and seem to be killing it. Also they will be having another airdrop in the foreseeable future, if the token keeps growing it could be a very valuable airdrop. The article i wrote is in the link below.

https://www.publish0x.com/interesting-crypto-projects/nrg-has-increased-over-350-last-30-days-what-energi-xdneer?a=GELe3POa69

What do you think about Energi? and their coin NRG? You can visit their website on the link below.

https://www.energi.world

Also i would check out the blogging platform i wrote the article on, it's a way to earn crypto for free. They have over 14,000 signups already and I think they will overtake steemit this year. You can sign up for free through the blog link. Hope to see you there!

It has broken out of top 50 coins on coinmarketcap at the moment as it sits right at number 67 but there's no doubt that it's a very strong coin with huge fundamentals and when compared to its counterparts in top 70, you will see its a young coin with much room for development with future potentials according to its roadmap making a longterm hold
