141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Website that will tell you how rich you really are? on: January 08, 2020, 06:00:33 PM
Hi community members,
please do you know about some website where you put how many coins do you have and it will show at what number of richest addresses you belong? For top altcoins and Bitcoin? I mean for example you have 10 Ethereum and it will tell you that you are the 1000th richest person/address in the network.  Wink

This will not be too difficult to create if there's demand for it. Demands often drives creativities. A similar tool such as whale alert provides information of large transfers of cryptos in millions to notify and impending dump or pump. The app or website you seek will operate using similar model or principle
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Withdrew 60k USDC from Binance and it doesn't show on etherscan. Lost 60k???? on: January 08, 2020, 11:45:04 AM
Am i missing something? I don't usually use UDSC but a client wanted only USDC to be sent to them. So i deposit BTC to Binance account, trader for USDC and withdraw to clients eth address

I don't see them, am i doing something wrong or just lost 60k in USDC?

Address to which withdrew is 0x5aef590cffd215be0f75b70a868af7521b9d776b

1st Transaction in binance shows following info
USDC withdraw 15744
Txid: Internal transfer 6145405817

If he withdrew to intoken or erc 20 native wallet. There should not be any problem with that. Since Binance is involved, you have pretty much not lost your tokens. All you have to do is kindly raise a support ticket and it will likely resolved immediately https://support.binance.com/hc/en-us/
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Qatar Bans CryptoCurrency on: January 08, 2020, 11:35:04 AM
The Regulatory Authority shall impose penalties in accordance with its rights and obligations [...] in case of any violation of undertaking [...] activities that are not permitted in the QFC.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/qatar-financial-centre-puts-blanket-ban-on-cryptocurrency-businesses

Is this a reactionary effort towards the tension between Iran and USA? Obviously, one can easily attribute the recent hike in bitcoin prices to that. Even Oil has surged to 25%, as well as gold. 2020 is already playing out to be a remarkable year
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Mining on a cell phone on: January 07, 2020, 08:25:05 PM
Lol... Whoever believes this crap of mining on a phone probably needs to do more research about mining. Mining require lots of processor power which i believe a mobile device let alone laptops and conventional personal computers can't handle.

You may end up downloading a malware onto your device because of the stupid greed of worthless coins and ignorance.

LOL. I am not a fan of crypto mobile mining for obvious reasons. Firstly, crypto mobile mining is possible, but it comes with a long list of reasons not to do it. Moreover, mining on your smartphone doesn’t even come close to traditional mining hardware or software. In the current state of cryptocurrency mining, doing it on your smartphone might not bring you enough profits to be worth the time and effort.

Secondly, we don't have enough powerful mining phones build for such crypto mining tasks.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next big thing in crypto? on: January 07, 2020, 06:53:10 PM
I learnt that there's underground work ongoing to launch the ethereum 2.0 project this year. The bitcoin halving is also expected to be in motion and I'm of the opinion that this events would affect the overall performance of the market. The launching of libra coin could also happen this year marking this year, possibly more promising than last year.

These have been in offing for a while since 2019. I guess they are the foreseeable biggest events(halving and ethereum 2.0) for 2020 at the moment unless something as big as Libra news pops up again. Either way, I am very positive and optimistic for this year
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STOs are still growing but very slowly on: January 07, 2020, 06:36:19 PM
STO is still less popular in 2019 because it is indeed the same thing as ICO in the sales industry is almost the same so that investors are reluctant to not glance at it again.
If the STO is compared with the current IEO then I say it will be better than the STO IEO because many believe that IEO has given confidence to investors so that it gives a big enough profit if it is successful, but there are also many IEO that are successful in other large exchanges.

I guess STOs has only been different from ICOs on paper than in applications. It promises a lot of value for investors but yet hasn't been able to woo investors appropriately. Perhaps, regulations are doing a hard one on them or the STO projects have been below pal and unable to deliver. Whatever the cases are, stakeholders have a huge challenge cut out for them if they want investors to take STOs more seriously than ICOs
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO is dead these days, what next in the market? STO? IEO? on: January 06, 2020, 08:59:49 PM
IEO is the only reasonable option left, no one wants to invest their money on ICO projects anymore, if you invest on IEOs from top exchange you will see good profits

IEO has indeed become a good choice, compared to STO or ICO. But behind it all, not all IEO is always good and profitable. Because most IEOs have low exchange rates, they always suffer a loss in value. That means we have a loss. And a good suggestion to choose IEO in a large exchange.

Choosing a Large exchange for an IEO is not a problem but paying the massive fees charged. Secondly, IEO favors the developers on the long run (they get development funds from IEO proceeds and they have the opportunity to still release team tokens in the market), admist all these, I don't think the investors are protected enough.

In the end, most crypto projects are profit oriented and thus takes its profits from the pockets of investors. I want the next fund raising model to focus on protecting investors more. Not exchanges. Not developers but Investors
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cut crypto loss at no cost on: January 06, 2020, 08:30:26 PM
If you lost a lot in crypto trading or missed big waves, stock some coins for free. That will make you feel much better.

Here is such a coin, of good potential.

-- STHCOIN --
* More secure than Bitcoin
* Coin transfer is instant (++)
* Ultra-low transaction fee
* CPU-mined only

Coins can be obtained via frequent lottery as well as various ways of contribution. For example, refer your friends. While helping STHCOIN to grow, you earn 50 coins for each successful referral.

Check it out at https://www.soothing.center

++: To a certain type of addresses

See some responses starting here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5213556.msg53497230#msg53497230

If you are adventurous and don't mind to spare a few minutes, drop me a STHCOIN (not SHITCOIN  Cheesy) address in the reply. I will send you 100 coins.

You must be joking right? Is this some joke coin or Meme coin. I am no apologist but I feel disgust when other developers compare their coins/tokens to Bitcoin just to gain cheap attention
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Danger that awaits few coins on: January 06, 2020, 06:33:12 PM
I'm here to clear few facts about some crypto coins, i will start with exchange tokens, people are getting things mixed up when it comes to real use case, many thinks once a coin has a real use case it's a must buy well this is for you, let me start with binance, i love the exchange simply because of the seriousness of the team and CEO himself i believe that's why they made it this far but im not 100% sure about bnb token because it's use case ends on the binance exchange, outside the platform it's nada,  i belief any good real use case should be for the public but bnb token is limited in this area, everything about bnb ends on it's exchange.

My second point is pointing towards Proof of Stake coins, we all love earning with no big hassle like POW coins but at the same time have you ever think that apart from the POS ability what is the use case of the token or coin itself? Many keep making this mistake that once a coin has staking ability it's the best, this is why many POS coins loses value while you are holding them to get your reward annually.

I believe that POS ability is just a +, assuming the use case of a coin is for means of payments either with many merchants or so and the coin still has staking ability makes more sense than a coin with just staking ability alone, please be wise with the ways you define your real use cases

You have a clear message which says that true use case should move beyond the immediate crypto community or infiltrate the outside world to drive cryptocurrency adoption. You are right because, these use cases limited to just exchange or project comfort zones are no brainers and doesn't really help grow the community. On POS, I don't even see that as any use case. It's simply a consensus algorithm to me and nothing more. Both of the major algorithms is just profitable to the community if harnessed via staking or mining
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Day Trading or Long-term Hodl? on: January 06, 2020, 06:00:22 PM
I prefer day trading over long term

You must have a large heart to accommodate those blood racing moments in trading. The crypto industry is too volatile for the Weak. That's why alot of practice and patience is required. I prefer strategic investment to trading at the moment because of my busy offline schedule nowadays
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High price but no volume on: January 05, 2020, 07:54:25 PM
It's back to square one if you are holding a coin or token for long term and finally altcoin season comes and the token or coin surge in value but has no trading volume on exchange, all your efforts and pain while holding is total waste, do not hold tokens or coins that have no demands, real use cases are what makes them very demanding

Hilarious! I am sorry for such a holder because truly, he has been holding a shitcoin. Apart from a coin or token having a good trading price, the other most important factor which will successfully complete a fruitful trade is the coin trade volume or in general, the liquidity which marks the high volume of activity in the market for the coin. But unfortunately, may noobs don't know this.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paying with crypto is more accessible than ever on: January 05, 2020, 07:14:59 PM
It should be an old data but how much total merchants that accept crypto as payment has already changed. I rarely to see that people are using crypto like BCH or even litecoin to buy on the merchant. I have ever seen people use dash to buy the product from the merchants but it has already a long time ago.
I believe if there is a lot of differences on the how much merchants that is still accepting crypto as payment.

I think when options such as Bitcoin, ethereum, litcoin, bch and dash are presented as options of pagme t by merchants, people fondly go for Bitcoin and ethereum majorly because of its availability and ease of use. This can be witnessed with seoclerk.com. But more informed users or users with needs tailored to privacy will prefer dash and monero anyway
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shit Exchanges, an end to good projects. on: January 05, 2020, 01:54:14 PM
You should continue to develop the project to be able to attract appropriate investors, so it is not good to exchange a switch in a hurry. Shit exchanges will kill the projects.
Nothing in the world harms the project more than listing on bad exchanges. Team members cannot even realise that with only one fault, they can ruin the whole project, especially such garbage exchanges as Latoken or Probit.
Projects team members definitely knows very well regarding potential exchanges. But they can't reach it there are many limitation such as they can't able to meet big exchanges demand. For those shit exchanges a huge number of promising projects going worst. And many real products based platform go to list shift exchanges but they are capable to list real exchanges.

The problem is contributed by a lot of factors and as you have rightly underlined, high cost of listing in top exchanges are a huge problem. Why should a developer pay as high as $200k to $500k to list on these exchanges, its way way over priced in my opinion and in most cases, the project developers are left with two options; a) list with such exorbitant fee and recover it by dumping team tokens on the community (just like matic) or b) list in an average or shit exchange and ride your luck
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Guys stop investing! Use your brain, please on: January 05, 2020, 12:16:26 PM
I just fed up on IEO projects that being held by P2PB2B! After so much warning, negativity why so many people keep investing in P2PB2B IEO projects? I haven't seen any successful project from their IEO launchpad, rather some good projects ruined themselves by launching the sale on the shit P2PB2B exchange.

How the ICO dead, almost the same way IEO hype is going to over for all of these shit, fake, scam exchange. Please think hundred times before buying any coin from the P2PB2B, Coinsbit, Latoken, Exmarkets, Vidax, Coinlim IEO launchpad!
Any thoughts from you?

Was a quite misleading topic for me, I thought for as second that you are asking us to stop believing in Crypto. Anyway, I am sorry for your loss or disappointment brought about by these mushroom exchanges. I believe you know better now. Shit exchangs hosts and launch shit coins. You might want to add Catex, Bitforex, Coineal and Dcoin to your list
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STOs are still growing but very slowly on: January 04, 2020, 04:28:52 PM
Many thought looking up to STO projects because many of them failed since we start hearing the name but few STO projects still manages to break good records, I saw a great deal of pivotal STO development, including Blockstack, a $33.8 million Bond-I by the World Bank, a $20 million bond on ethereum by Santander, and an association with Asia's biggest land speculation trust to dispatch Connection REIT. All things considered, buys were delayed due to

1. Persistent regulatory concerns
2. Little value add beyond higher relative liquidity which wasn't enough to convert most investors to purchase STOs

But truthfully the space is growing but just slowly

I don't think that tokenized security space can grow until a projects can comply with all the regulatory needs. At the moment i don't think there is such a platform with the main net yet, that can comply with them.

Apart from compliance which is not necessarily a big deal anymore, STO needs established blockchain companies or platform and not these startups with a base capital of 20k dollars, zero industry experience and zero working product both on and off the market. This is not enough to boost Confidence in STOs
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Pyramid Schemes are still Amongst Us on: January 04, 2020, 04:19:41 PM
This is new year and i expect newbies to get smarter, be careful of new projects that are nothing but pyramid schemes, Multilevel marketing schemes or pyramid schemes may likewise be utilized to swindle crypto investors. Such new companies guarantee enormous degrees of profitability inside a brief period, and regularly convey different individuals to rope in new members. When the part list gets generous and the fraudsters get a sizeable store, they evaporate, leaving all investors seething. The most ideal approach to distinguish such schemes is to take a gander at the project's experience. Such projects will in general evade any perceived organizations or bureaus and have next to no undeniable foundation data, be very careful and limit your losses this new year, all the best.

How can they learn when they are clearly after crypto miracles from testimonials shared by their friends. Newbies don't learn to walk the path anymore or have the patience to learn the industry. They just want to make the thousands of dollars abound in the market Wink. Crypto ponzis and hypis and scams will keep reaping them off till they learn
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this really a good plan? on: January 04, 2020, 04:06:30 PM
It's actually true that Bounty and Airdrop are not worth it due to those reasons
Likewise, it is up to individuals to choose what they want.

Crypto currency is decision based, so decide if you are in or out is the best plan
we have to have wise decisions. including deciding the results of the bounty for us to make. many do not use it and choose to withdraw in fiat form. but I survived in this market with the results of the bounty that I got a few years ago and then I use to trade until now.
if you trade with capital from a bounty campaign then that is a very smart choice because I think few do it, I feel that when the participants of the bounty campaign get paid then they will make a withdrawal to fiat money and use it to buy something they want.

Most bounty hunters are just money mongers and its the more reason a good number of them promote shitcoins all over thus space because they can't and won't do a proper research before promoting a project. I always advice that participants rather buyback the dip from bounty hunters and wait for the price rebound for a better profit. Especially for solid projects
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people still fall victim to obvious scam? on: January 03, 2020, 10:01:19 PM
Because of urgent needs, hurry and greedy lust.  Be tempted by bessr offers but make you forget to think that is the consequence that can make people get hit by a scam from someone or a project.

An economist once said, that human wants is insatiable. Wants fueled by greed. That's is the major reason why people fall easily to scam. If you are contented, them maybe, you can look before your leap before investing in any venture.

Secondly, bad reading culture. This is a crucial problem too. Knowledge begets wisdom
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Telegram refuses SEC's demands - Deposition this month on: January 03, 2020, 09:54:26 PM
its so crazy that telegram raised like 2 BILLION dollars for whats literally a MSN messenger app
atleast they followed discord and stole a buncha UI changes, that shit was so 90's... still kinda is but atleast theres channels now
i was hoping they would launch the token, was gonna be a funny bloodbath Sad  oh well lol  was just a cash grab anyways

It's hilarious how ingest had to pay that much for a project. And I must say that I am really impressed at how Telegram managed to raise that amount with much media bruhoha. Even SEC seems to have been caught off guard on this. Now Telegram is probably questioning the rights SEC has over a decentralized marketplace. I will like to see how it all plays out anyway
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 5 Reasons to Buy This Coin in 2020 | Beam Review | Atomic Swaps | Halving on: January 03, 2020, 05:50:35 PM
Beam is a good coin if you got in early, mined a bunch in the beginning and shit
will it survive long term? time will tell i guess Smiley it will always kinda just be a coin that followed others greatness to me personally
imo most projects that started as late as it did 95% arent bringing anything NEW to the table, thts where i feel like beam sits
will prob pump once low enough tho Tongue

I opted for Veil instead of Beam because of the ties Veil has with pivx and judging by history, early mining of pivx was profitable to me too. So I keyed into that on veil and reaped same fruits. I hope its not late to check out this beam anyway because I know that profitability in Crypto depends alot on entry point
