That something I know as I'm paying .26 €/kwh : I am running a rig of 8 rx 580 mining monero. Speed is 907 h/s per card. Power at the wall is around 700w, including motherboard cpu etc. Card Bios mod The graph that show the speed is like an ECG of a death guy: stable since 4 days Xmr stak 64 with double thread, 1124 intensity, workspace 8 in the same undervolt condition is giving me 870 h/s per card

I am looking for a bios for an rx 550 2gb "baffin" for cryptonight. I tried to modify it, "pimp" the strap , unlocked the shaders but I saw people able to use it at higher speed and less power than what I did and I'm curios its not available to purchase anywhere so I'm asking here

There is also a small problem with PhyMem. When its activated will not stop even if I select so. More than that it doesn't stop even if I close GGS. Overdrive is unable to change whatever parameter Phymem activated in the AMD driver and Claymore ( ) can't even change the fan speed... In fact, even a soft reboot doesn't work . Its necessary to shut down the PC and restart it. But I'm not a pc expert so pick everything with a grain of salt

IF someone would like to buy 1+5 in Europe, I can take one & sharing cost

While I can understand that you don't want trouble supporting weird mod of cards, Branko and the other guy trying to test GGS just reported a legit bug in the software: if you select OPTIMIZE & select Criptonightv7 you get a thread exeption: the given key isn't present in the dictionary.
And because I'm writing on bugs: Fan: minimum is supposed to be 0 % and not 20 % Fan2: if you modify it and click on copy to the same cards, ggs crash and restart
Custom pool: can't be selected for CNv7
Missing algos: CN7lite

Ok, guy, if you will be able to produce a whitepaper, I 'll be glad to translate in italian. When needed, I can also help on telegram
|
|
|
As far as I understood in my limits its that the optimize button work at the moment only on default pools.
|
|
|
As far as I know, the intensity on heavy need to be reduced compared to v7, by a minimum of 30 % to make it works..
Someone mining sumo will answer better

@Branko, actually I am using your bios mod for RX 550 4g ...and its giving 535 h/s on cryptonight. Thanks, btw. I changed timing on the fly with GGS. Zawawa, stop playing with the new toy! and finish with the old one in order that WE can play with it. Cryptonightv7 isn't exactly stable,in fact GGS restart on its own each 3 hour, ( and btw, keep working so mining is ok). Cryptonight v7 Monero Graft, Stellite ... Cryptonight Heavy but what about Cryptonight Litev7 Cryptonight UltraHeavy ? And it take too much memory... Last, very good job on the x16r . Still to beat my 7.4 Mhs for an rx 580... it will take a couple of days for you

Why are some people mining cryptonight v7 with rx 4XX/5XX series cards? Not sure if i'm missing something but isn't ETH still the more profitable coin to mine? Just because the fork happened it does guarantee that it will be more profitable.
that's easy to answer: go to whattomine and make comparison for gpu it say: ethereum is better by far. in reality if you take Monero for example: the difficulty is 33180320682, compared to 129999999 whatto mine used yesterday and 1599999999 it was before the fork happened. so go to monero on WTM, under coin, insert the REAL difficult and make the calculation again and you will see by yourself. that's true for ALL the coin that forked. Monero hashrate was 1.300 Mhs and its now 276. Go figure how many BOTnet and Asic was mining...

@Nitrobg. Go stock, acefawn sg-miner and then tweak sg parameter. I got 7.x . Average, I mean
|
|
|
That can be a start but..
In reality that is the best available in term of building but NOT in term of algos. The kernel accept --thread-concurrency 1792, -g2 that is the best setup for RX580 8gb samsung but the Algos compiled aren't the fastest available on github. The one from Brianmct have faster algos but doesn't accept all the sgminer command
What the "dev" have done at least for cc miner/Cuda, is just to look around and finding faster Algos version on github thus increasing the overall speed, for the moment.
Nice guys, expecially OCMINER but they don't call themselves DEV . give a look at his repository that I think have the fastest versions of algos also for sgminer. I don't know for sure because I haven't compiled his version yet and probably I will never do.
If you need testing, I am here. You will be in pole position if your average for rx580 is > 7.437 that is the best I achieved with an rx580
But just go to : Ravencalc.xyz and see what the average people hashrate per card is.
there are 7 coin at the moment using x16r or x16s, but increasing

Zawawa, need money ? CN beside the fork isn't profitable, ethereum the same. Please make a X16r miner. All the algos are under sgminer. its needed a good kernel, and you have the best one, and good setup may be even memory timing on the flybetween the algos.. All my Nvidia are on x16r or x16s. Most of the AMd miners are looking for alternatives but an gtx 1060 easily beat an RX 580 . I forgot: please fix: SQL ( we don't have I7 on the rigs and its too slow, at least give the option of NOT using it I prefer to rewrite everything if I have to, instead its always restarting even if I selected not to do so) and memory paging some people doesn't use english and the paging isn't on C:
|
|
|
How can I teach GGS that my paging file in on drive D and not C : ?
Its now running in b/w, no shares showed, no graph
|
|
|
edit:on second rig :opencl error code invalidkernelname
still on blockchain drivers.
I do have two rigs of 570 & 550 mix mining Monero right now with LATEST Amd driver
Speed is good

Well, or Zawawa Gateless gate will come asap at my rescue, or I am changing coin to mine. Xmrstak hashrate is crap.Value is stable, difficulty haven't halved.
Value is stable, difficulty is 4 times down compared to the average before the fork, you have lost 40% of your hash power and so have the rest of the miners, there are no asics on the network. Well those inputs give a different result on my equation than they do in yours your calculation are correct,if you speak about generic Ellesmere card but with my 2 rigs come with the first model of Rx550. Xmrstak 64 require intensity to be multiplier of workspace. and it doesn't fit well with those, as I lost more than 60 % of hashrate. That's why I will wait for Gatelessgate sharp, as it didn't have this requirement. For the absence of Asic: I'm quite happy for that like I think everybody is for our investment and for the safety of the network itself. But that doesn't change my personal $$ result, at the moment I would say.

Rx 580 rig is mining monero at nanopool.Speed is only 740/card, lol, I've got 890/card with XMR stak 64.
when intensity is set at 0, the sw suggest an intensity of 124. SO, I tried 121,122,123, etc to see the best intensity near it and to do so, I edit the gpuconf section I've got 0 hashing speed on all threads, all the card. I waited till all the screen became red. and then I stopped,
Reboot, intensity at 0, and it goes
changed to single gpu intensity, all red.
Reboot, all stock, the same thing.
thenI deleted all the *.srb
Reboot and its the same.
First I tried at 0, then singles intensity and it doesn't work.
Last try I can do is : erase the *.srb, put everything stock, reboot, set intensity single and then launch WITHOUT launching intensity 0 first.
May be its trying to use the same *.srb (bin) just compiled for that intensity. I don't know Later tonight I will try again

Joel, please show the screen of sgminer, and your bat. Are you running card stock or not ?
I will give a look later tonight and give some suggestion, I have 4 Amd rigs mining RVN since two month. And really no trouble
