301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is investment a necessity or a want? on: March 19, 2024, 02:38:42 PM
Investing should be a choice for those who care about the future, but if your money is spent to the detriment of your health, you will soon pay twice. You shouldn't sacrifice your health by buying coins, especially if we think that the OP created a thread in the section about alternative coins. When buying alts, you must understand that they can fall in price at any time. You can worry about buying Bitcoin instead, but that expense should also be money you might not think about for a while. If we talk about the emergence of new coins during this period and the decision to purchase these coins, then it is safe to say that most of the new projects appearing during the bull market and the upcoming halving will be scams. Fraudsters do not sleep; they will create dozens of scams to extract money from naive investors.
302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ~~~When did you first heard about bitcoin 2024 Halving edition~~ on: March 19, 2024, 12:15:56 PM
A frequently encountered topic, especially pressing before big events. I learned about Bitcoin early, almost after various kinds of faucets appeared, or payment in Bitcoin on sites where it was possible to receive payment in digital currency.
But not having the desire to understand the many zeros that seemed large, I did not pay any attention to Bitcoin. But as happens to everyone, we come to Bitcoin along different roads and at different times. Even now, seeing the regrets of some people for wasted time, there is still room to experience the feeling that you own what is limited in quantity.
303  Economy / Reputation / Re: Anonymity of Bitcointalk forum members on: March 19, 2024, 11:32:34 AM
To remain completely anonymous on the Internet, you need a good understanding of each action. But here on the forum, if you don’t want to talk about yourself, which sometimes happens, you may be recognized by other coincidences that you may not even suspect. In particular, your social networks or your telegram address. Did you know that it is possible to find out your IP address by clicking on a link sent to you by email or social network? According to your identical nicknames, which people out of habit can use on the Internet, doing something stupid and posting their photos and data. Therefore, if you want not to be associated with any part of life in your real life offline, always understand that once you leave information or photos here, the archives will remember everything, and perhaps those who need it will be able to track you.
Big Brother is always with us. Smiley
304  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: platform verification request m.bitmartst.com on: March 18, 2024, 10:31:50 AM
A site that was created three months ago but claims to be the real name of the Bitmart exchange. OP, you own a rather impressive amount and know how to trade, but you don’t see the errors in the interfaces. In fact, there are many scam sites on the Internet that pretend to be other exchanges, and it is very imprudent to simply trust the opinion or words of a stranger on the Internet.
It was quite an expensive lesson. I regret. Every time, I am convinced that trading is not for everyone.

305  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop paying money to learn trading when you can learn it yourself on: March 18, 2024, 09:50:46 AM
I’m not sure that your third piece of advice in our time will be considered volunteer work, but, that is, I won’t find a single person, especially on the Internet, who is willing to spend time on me for free to teach me what you think is a successful strategy. This is a utopia. The days of free promotions are long gone. Today on YouTube, people create videos only to promote their channel, which means you won’t find any secrets there either.
But I agree that with careful and patient training, you can comprehend the science of trading, but you must have a good nervous system and an analytical mind to draw conclusions from your mistakes and build your strategies.
306  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Quickest way to earn merit? on: March 18, 2024, 09:24:08 AM
I'm new here. What's all about this merit count? How is it earned? I'm assuming it's linked to the quality/usefulness of your posts/replies? Their originality maybe? What are usually the subjects you'd get the more merit for posting about?

As a newbie it doesn't matter how quickest you want to earn merit, you want to say you just here to earn merit without understanding the forums or getting to get More knowledge about what this board forum says, you're a newbie but you have earn much merits so far Isn't interesting for you , take a look at my I haven't gained a single merits yet with my fellow senior members but still it doesn't stop me from trying My best I won't give up is just a matter of time merit will come when it's time I believe in, better late than never just keep doing good work it will come on expected.

I'm new here. What's all about this merit count? How is it earned? I'm assuming it's linked to the quality/usefulness of your posts/replies? Their originality maybe? What are usually the subjects you'd get the more merit for posting about?

You're a newbie has I am but you have earned a lot of merits so far and I think you're happy I know you work hard and take a lot of effort to earn your merit I'm sure with my hard work and dedication with quality post and replies I believe I will earn merit someday it doesn't matter if I don't have it now but I will keep on making quality post to ensure I don't give up so that people will see my hard work and be able to give me merit I believe in that.

Merit is needed to rank up and it can be given by anyone who has it to give. As far as the quickest way to earn it, don't worry about trying to earn it. Just post normally and be helpful on the forum and participate in conversations where you are knowledgeable. Merit will come when it comes.

I am so much impressed with your words, it gives me motives and courage,I know it's not  easy to earn merit as we newbie but we can't just be complaining on getting merits when we don't get to understand much more about this forum to gain knowledge about the forums, he's a newbie but he as earn much merits so far tho I don't know how good his posts are but merit don't matter I will also be happy if any of our senior high ranked members can give me merits ,but is just a matter of time merit will come when it's time we just keep making good posts I believe I will gain merits someday.

Buddy, you've flooded this thread with regular replies to OP Grin. But look, the topic was created last year, but you bring it up every time. Is it worth it? Maybe you need to move on.
Try to learn about Bitcoin, read and communicate in other sections, and do not get hung up on one issue with merit.
But today, yes, as you said, you will get one merit as motivation. Don't make people feel sorry for you. Move. Move and learn.
In addition, there are forum rules. Read 32. Posting multiple posts.

307  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hi I'm New Here, hope I'm welcomed. on: March 18, 2024, 08:43:24 AM
Welcome. Resourceful materials, as you put it, abound in this section. Don’t be lazy to show yourself as an adult and independent person, showing ingenuity to learn all the topics that interest you. Rule number one: read and read; don’t be shy to ask, but don’t worry about criticism or slow growth of your account (you’ll find out a little later that this is often a drag on newbies).
Take a look through the beginners section, and you will see a ton of advice that you are looking for today.
308  Economy / Economics / Re: Everything is over priced but people keep spending on: March 18, 2024, 05:51:18 AM
The people who are employed can still spend money on fast food like McDonalds but many already started to cut back.

Right now most of the time I am McDonald’s it’s fairly empty, a few years back it was always busy. You also get coupons sent to you most frequently which only means they get less business.

It’s bad out there but it won’t get worst until people start to lose their jobs. But with growing gdp who knows when that will be.

But you probably understand that such a diet will sooner or later have a bad effect on your health. It may be cheap, but buying the simplest foods without much processing will be both cheaper and healthier.
In today's situation with the rising cost of living, it is better not to worry about fashionable clothes and new gadgets but to still save some money that can be invested in investments and, of course, not skimp on your health. Replacing natural foods, especially fruits, which get expensive, with certain vitamins that are unfortunately missing from most natural foods and avoiding trans fats will save you from seeking medications in the future.
309  Economy / Reputation / Re: PytagoraZ & komisariatku are alts on: March 18, 2024, 04:32:08 AM
I'm not surprised by your answer because nothing will change even though I can prove it with a video call.

I have also admitted my true mistake. So you have every reason to tag me.
 Wink Wink Wink

I wouldn’t have posted that publicly, private is the way to go.

If you look back people have said some unbelievable excuses and have always ended up looking like a bozo while trying to disprove the truth. I appreciate that you’re at least trying here with proof for this situation and not just using words against extremely strong proof, along with the lie you told and other things the community has gathered isn’t helping your case as well.

An image(which can be faked photoshopped whatever) is not the way to go though, but it’s better than absolutely nothing.

If you are innocent and really want to prove it, the only suggestion I can tell you is to keep going with this and not post any sensitive info publicly here. Otherwise honestly it is simply almost impossible to believe your side considering the clear evidence they gathered against you. To everyone here, this story you shown is unbelievable so far. You were literally caught posting on the wrong account, why would you have your “irl friends” log in info? You were also caught lying in this thread too, another huge red flag only furthering thinning the ice on any remaining person who has a glimmer of hope for your words here

You were told that publishing personal information is unsafe and there is no need. Why do you advise something that makes absolutely no sense? Whoever is on the other side of the screen should not show themselves. The forum adheres to confidentiality.
On the other hand, just imagine that there are a lot of farmers on the forum, and many have received negative tags. Is it possible to believe the evidence of cheaters who bring a friend, mom, and dad, as well as their cat, to a video call, but only one person will remain the true owner?
Don't forget, this is the internet, and we can be anything in the plural.

I wouldn’t have posted that publicly, private is the way to go.

Better study the forum rules and learn the multi-posting rule.

310  Economy / Reputation / Re: PytagoraZ & komisariatku are alts on: March 17, 2024, 02:44:23 PM
If these accounts are all your “friends” explain this.

I have been trying to get many people to join bitcointalk every once in a while for months because I told them it can make them money. Most of them didn’t even bother and only one joined just to hire indians for some illegal project. Absolutely no one cared to make campaign money or talk about the purpose of bitcoin or crypto advice none of that. Literally NO one cared

I used to care too about making money here but lost interest with trying anymore.

It all depends on the country of residence and the standard of living. In fact, Indonesia was found to have a lot of farming accounts as well as a lot of selling accounts that were specifically developed for selling. Previously, account sales were overlooked, and they were not always condemned.
During the bounty, many accounts made good money in 2017, and I am sure that this type of income was well discussed with friends. Therefore, you shouldn’t be surprised that, yes, people came here in whole groups.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2104378.msg23010770#msg23010770

But I am once again convinced that if JollyGood thinks something, it doesn’t seem to him, and he is often right.
Moreover, if Nutildah takes over the search, then cheaters have virtually no chance of getting out.

I've interacted with PytagoraZ several times and am now very disappointed in it. A truly loud appearance on stage, since he declared himself a lot, sometimes ends in scenes of shame.
Modesty is beautiful; PytagoraZ, accept it.
311  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HELP! Can’t someone decode and confirm this website pls. on: March 17, 2024, 06:41:36 AM
OP, it’s time for you to stop believing Instagram posts and WhatsApp groups and not look for a project that will bring you quick profit. All your posts scream about finding a new ICO that guarantees instant profits, but if you haven't lost all your money yet, just listen to those who advise investing in Bitcoin.
Now is the time for scams, and scammers are just waiting for naive people like you to give them your money.
312  Other / Meta / Re: Reasons of be inactive on: March 17, 2024, 05:25:40 AM
You should not take the forum as an obligation to go to work. If someone has the idea that the forum is a duty, then there is something wrong with him. We are so overwhelmed by digitalization everywhere that we rarely have time to communicate with real friends offline. Therefore, if you see that a person’s activity has decreased, think that he has a more interesting life off the Internet.
313  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: BTC funds dissapeared from my Electrum Wallet on: March 15, 2024, 02:13:40 PM
I'm using this type of partition for the last 5-6 years or more. The only way I see here is that somehow there's some sort of malware on my iMac or some clipboard copier or whatever but I can't figure out how to check that

Several years ago, there was a virus called ElectroRAT. If you say that you have been using a server on a virtual machine for several years, could a similar virus somehow hide in your system and wait for the right moment to connect to your crypto wallet? It’s just that all your actions show that you are careful when using the computer, but if there was remote access, your actions could be monitored by virus software.

Suspended Senator Ningi Resigns

Senator Abdul Ningi has resigned his position as the chairman of the Northern Senators Forum (NSF).

This comes barely an hour after Ningi was suspended for three months for alleging that the 2024 budget had been padded with illegal projects worth over N3 trillion.

Earlier, Senator Jimoh Ibrahim moved the motion for Ningi’s suspension for 12 months over allegations of criminal misinformation and breach of peace in the National Assembly and the country by extension.

But Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong moved for the amendment of the motion by Ibrahim.

Ekpenyong, who is from Cross River South Senatorial District; and Senator Abdulfatai Buhari from Oyo North prayed for the reduction of the suspension to six and three months respectively.

Akpabio, who described Ningi’s offences as “grievous”, conducted a voice vote during which most of the lawmakers voted in support of Ningi’s suspension for three months.

In an interview, Ningi had claimed that the Federal Government is operating two versions of the 2024 budget and that the N28.7 trillion Budget passed and signed into law by President Bola Tinubu was skewed against the north.

on February 27, 2024, Olayemi Cardoso, governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), said $26 billion passed through Binance Nigeria from unidentified sources in one year.

Cardoso said the apex bank is collaborating with the SEC to ensure there is no manipulation in the FX market.Nigeria intensified its crackdown on cryptocurrency by detaining two executives of Binance, the prominent crypto trading platform that authorities allege enabled the naira currency’s slide to record lows this month.

The arrest, first reported by the Financial Times on Wednesday, follows a move last week that saw telecom providers shut off user access to the websites of Binance, Coinbase and other crypto exchanges. Crypto platforms have been scaling down services in Nigeria in the period since. On Wednesday, Binance stopped offering peer-to-peer trades that allowed users to exchange the naira for USDT, a digital currency pegged to the U.S. dollar.
The federal government probably are looking for recognition and partnership with binance maybe you  tell ,. They feel that binance makes a whole lot of money from Nigerians with no accountability

https://www.semafor.com/article/02/29/2024/arrest-binance-nigeria-crypto

The current inflation in Nigeria is more of 'supply driven' inflation than a 'demand driven' one. Policy rate adjustments as a tool becomes ineffective when an inflationary trend is dominantly supply driven. We tend to often argue that our inflation is caused by excess money supply in the system chasing too few goods.

The devaluation of the naira is a top driver of inflation as it leads to higher import costs that ripple through the economy and affect production costs and other supply chain dynamics. This has resulted in elevated costs for machinery, fertilizers, and other inputs for farmers, which can result in higher food prices.

315  Economy / Speculation / Re: Doing my bitcoin investment anonymously while left a friend behind. on: March 15, 2024, 11:51:06 AM
If I were you, I would tell a friend that you previously took a risk and bought a certain amount of bitcoin. Since you made your own decision, you cannot force your friend to act in a way that mirrors your actions. But by showing by example that sometimes you need to make decisions on your own, since it is personal money and only the owner is responsible, your friend needs to learn from you.
But as for the price, I don't think you made much money considering you're a recent investor. However, it is always nice to receive some bonuses. However, your interest in investing should guide you to explore further and profit.
Show your friend this forum.
316  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do not let the over excitement after the bull-run pull you out to danger on: March 15, 2024, 11:28:58 AM
What makes people go and talk about their successful investments, and then about their capital? I think it's just vanity. In the case of the guy who invested anonymously, if you imagine his next steps, the story about his successful steps can only be explained as a search or proof of his rightness to a friend. He can show by example that you should listen to him. If we are talking about good intentions and not boasting, then I don’t see anything reprehensible.
But more often than not, we see the opposite. Recognition is not enough for people, and they want to show their importance in any way. This is not entirely correct behavior. Modesty always speaks for the better about a person, and if you do not talk about your well-being, you are only protecting your life from unnecessary fuss that may arise around you from envious people.
317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is really unexpected on: March 15, 2024, 10:38:37 AM
I join in on the congratulations. It is likely that in order for luck to turn its face towards us, we must make normal plans that do not raise the bar of what is feasible. You won and spent your winnings; there is no dependence, just like you didn’t have one before. If you are unlucky, it means your time has not come, and you don’t need to resist, but give time for another moment. I like your position.
On the other hand, your luck is that you were able to withdraw all your money, since there are complaints that sometimes people cannot do this. But I think that for those who play honestly, the casino will always meet them halfway.

The account creates two topics with the same name, copying the article, and it is surprising that no one dares to check the newcomer’s text for plagiarism.
However, both the first and second topics are copied, with some changes, from the main article.

Growing Bitcoin Adoption in Africa’s Economy
Africa, with its unique economic landscape and diverse set of challenges, has embraced Bitcoin as a potential solution to longstanding problems. The limited access to traditional financial services, high remittance costs, and currency instability in several African countries have fueled this adoption. A prime example of this trend is observed in Nigeria, where a tech-savvy population and substantial remittance inflow have catapulted the country to the forefront of Bitcoin adoption on the continent.

The adoption of Bitcoin in Africa has far-reaching implications. It has not only revolutionized the way people engage in financial transactions but also disrupted the traditional norms of investment and wealth management. Through our extensive analysis and case studies, we have uncovered a multitude of trends arising from Bitcoin adoption in various African economies.

One key revelation is the potential for Bitcoin to provide an alternative form of financial inclusion in regions with limited access to banking services. This digital currency has brought forth a new paradigm where individuals can securely store and transfer wealth without being hindered by traditional banking constraints.

319  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you believe in savings or investment on: March 14, 2024, 01:27:13 PM
I see saving as the next option for moving money. You have saved up some money; how long should you keep it without work? Doesn't your money stop losing value during this time? The next step is to find a place where you can invest your saved money. And after that, the bonuses received from profitable investments will again be made to work for you. Yes, investing in Bitcoin can be risky, and you should understand how long you are investing your money. But buying real estate that can be rented out very often remains an always-in-demand business.
And this is how I understand the meaning of savings, or investments, which sound the same to me. Your money should always work for you.
320  Economy / Economics / Re: Early exposure of children to wealth and investments on: March 14, 2024, 12:54:24 PM
Today, children are introduced to finance very early on. If your children are small, don’t burden them with their parents’ problems; just teach them to take care of the things you buy them. Being neat will make children smarter.
But as they grow older, it is imperative to teach children to understand their spending, at least using the example of pocket money. The ability to not give in to the desire to quickly spend money every time but to think about the need for a purchase will also be a good trait.
As for Bitcoin, I think it's pretty easy for a teenager to figure out how to use it. Today's children understand technology very easily, but learning should be unobtrusive so as not to completely take away the best time called “childhood” from the child.
But as for running a family business and investing, the child should have knowledge about this as one of the options for his future occupation, understanding that he has the right to do something else.
