3001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops or "Scam-drops"? on: December 07, 2020, 06:10:16 PM
Airdrops are free of charge, if someone asks you to send them money they are not airdrops, they are not real tokens and they are not doing it the right way and they are scammers. There is no airdrop in the world that would ask you for money, there is no way of projects to ask money that way and would get away with it, it is impossible to expect people to pay you for working for you, it makes no sense.

It means all those "airdrops" you see that asks for money are not airdrops, they are scammers. This is why the moment you see someone ask you money, get away as further away from them as you can, delete the telegram bot, delete the channels, unfollow the twitter account and basically forget about them. The longer you look at the offer the harder it would be to get away.
This is one sign of determining a worthless airdrop. Why would a project be leeching off people from people if they want the airdrop to be successful. If they want to have support from their potential holders, they should provide it everything on it even if it is for a gas fee or whatever it is. There is so many worthless airdrops in the market and obviously don't show any effort of the dev.

I just have more hopes on the airdrops of existing projects, They have more value in the market though their requirement or task varies.
3002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will you trust the Code or Human? on: December 06, 2020, 07:56:47 PM
Well, I think both are needed. The recent hacks put doubt on the DeFI projects. Those DeFi projects aren't comparable to an established project/exchange whether if it is centralized or decentralized. The established project/exchange has layers of security so that the hacker can't hack them. New DeFi projects are the hacker's target today since it has a large amount of money in it and their security isn't buffed as established project/exchange has.
3003  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Email address exposure in spreadsheet on: December 06, 2020, 07:20:23 PM
This is an issue from way back then especially when the airdrop was on hype. If you used your emails on these crypto projects, You will surely have a crypto-related email sent to your email. I've experienced it myself and regretted that I used my main email. Because of that spam, I created a new email and make it my new main email. Until now, spam email is being sent to my email. It will be nice we create a dedicated email to be displayed on the spreadsheets. I understand that the bounty manager needs to put it on the spreadsheet, it is because of the transparency and for the community to know who the cheaters is.
3004  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best way to trade with Bitcoin approaching $20K? on: December 06, 2020, 06:42:32 PM
Hi,

I'm new to trading and trying to find the best way to trade when Bitcoin is testing it's ATH. I have noticed that it reached $19,300 last week before dropping below $17,000 then built back up to over $19,800 yesterday before dropping then again reaching $19,900 today before dropping again. Does that mean that the sell orders at those levels have now been spent and Bitcoin may find an easier path to break through? How many times could we expect this pattern to repeat before a break through?

Are we expecting similar patterns to repeat over the next week? If so, is it worth transferring a portion of BTC into USDT or similar each time BTC reaches around $19,800 and then transferring it back if or when it seems to have bottomed out?

Maybe it would be more sensible for me to stop trying to be clever and just HODL my way through but either way, I would be interested to hear your thoughts.

I think if you are a real newbie on trading you should try to learn the foundation of trading first, Hodling isn't a bad idea and more suitable for the one who is learning and at the same time has the potential to gain some profit. It's just better to hodl than to trade without proper knowledge about it and to be liquidated at the end. I myself am just trading a small portion of my bitcoin to the market because I'm not really sure if it the 19k barrier will be broken.
3005  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What have you done/are you doing with your ICO coins? on: December 06, 2020, 05:49:44 PM
I have participated in some bounties in 2017 and get a good number of profit from it. Today, The price of the tokens that I sold before for bitcoin is under its ICO price and there are even tokens that aren't listed on an active exchange. It's a good move for me to sell most of my coins but there are still a handful of tokens in my wallet and their value from before to now is just on rock bottom and never hit its ICO price. I can consider them as scam projects.

I don't believe in some altcoins today, There are a handful of altcoins that I traded and those are the ones that I put my efforts into doing some research on them.
3006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How tricky is this? on: December 05, 2020, 11:56:14 PM
                                                                           The near success syndrome

There is this near success syndrome that is associated with compilation or multiple bets. I'm damned sure most bettors who use the accumulated bet strategy must have experienced this a few or lots of times and it usually feels so disappointing and the day begins to feel like it's not one of your best days. The thing is,

"In an accumulated bet, why is it often the last games that goes rugged and you end up loosing what's supposed to be a best bet and was already preparing for a cash out or the next step"

It's always never funny when this happens. What's the trick about it, is it that, bookmarkers just knows and tends to push the game to the last in the series for an accumulated bet option or it's really bad luck, if there is such a thing as bad luck or other reasons. What really is the trick about this scenario.
Well, Probably it's just bad luck since you are on a betting casino, It will hardly be rugged I think so. Sometimes if your gut telling you that you need to stop even if you are nearing your target cashout, you should leave. I did experience it many times and it was horrible inside that I lose even my capital when I am very near to my target profit. I learned that time that it is ok to follow guts and be happy that you gained some profit over the session. The trick is to be contented with the gained profits and leave the casino with a happy heart  Grin
3007  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: good news for bitcoin at the moment on: December 05, 2020, 11:29:41 PM
Well known international restaurant franchise Pizza Hut has started accepting payment via cryptocurrency in Venezuela, South America.  As of now they are accepting Bitcoin, Dash and XPT (CryptoBuyer's * coin).  Soon they will accept more alts.  Which is a great news for all cryptocurrency lovers.  For this reason my personal target for bitcoin on 2021 will be $ 25k at least.  What about yours?

 * CryptoBuyer is a Panama-based company that provides cryptocurrency ATM services.
As far as I know Valenzuela citizens started bitcoin adoption for some years now as a solution to their economic crisis. Valenzuela's own currency is in its worst situation because of the hyperinflation on their currency. Businesses would likely adapt to the situation by accepting the solution of the citizens which is using bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. I don't know if that certain food chain branch will make bitcoin go to the moon but the country adoption would make a change.
3008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Understand how cryptocurrency scams work? on: December 05, 2020, 11:10:07 PM
There is the same rule in all kinds of investment based business when a project or people offer something that is too good to be true, you need to be suspicious, it most likely scam. But since the raising of IEO I think it is easier to pick crypto investment. Just invest in a project that launch IEO on big Exchange, it less likely to be a scam.
Usually they do make really good promises and sometimes it make sense. but in the end they don't make it happen for some reason that obviously isn't a problem. The scam happened because it was planned from the beginning, and we can see it clearly from how the development of the platform they built, from their seriousness and other things.
Scammers are getting better over the time and their methods are mostly like a legitimate project, Too good to be true offerings are the one that newbies and lazy people who don't research fall but a realistic project that pretends too good make the serious investors who made some research about the project fall. There are some obvious signs that can reveal that the project is fake/scam. Fake project team, counterfeit whitepaper, too good to be true returns are the good signs that the project is fake. Investing in an IEO doesn't make the project a scam proof investment. I believed that there are potential loopholes in IEO.
3009  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how add security to our bitcoin ? on: December 05, 2020, 07:04:27 PM
Hello,

i don't know bitcoin very well but i have money in btc on coinbase. I am not sure have money on coinbase is very secure. What do you think about it ? Is there a way for have bitcoin with security because i scared coinbase block my account or give information on how much money i have on it, i think it is not very anonymous
If you use coinbase mainly to store your bitcoins you can just use every security offers that coinbase provides. It's not really a smart move to store bitcoins regularly on an exchange. But If you have a bit of idea you can use non-custodial wallets for you to have full control of your bitcoins and do some precautions like safe browsing and not downloading random files over the internet, also not be baited by some "coinbase impersonators" that offer free bitcoin or whatever. There are many alternative wallets like a hard wallet that I personally used to store most of my bitcoins.
3010  Economy / Speculation / Re: Seems like the bullrun is over this year! on: December 04, 2020, 04:51:34 PM
I invested my daughter's savings 3 days ago yet the market is tumbling.
So, I lost some of her money due the current market conditions.

It's December, after all!
Are the bulls gone now or what?

You never lost investing in Bitcoin you only lose your patience, you should do your research before investing not only on Bitcoin but on all coins in the market, Bitcoin was and is never a pump and dump coin, you do not invest here and just wake up the next day that you already made double the profit, it's not the way how it all works.

The market condition is better now you should look at the chart to see the profit made by investors who invested in the time where only brave people invested.
I agree. Research is essential in every investment, It is not good that you only invested in bitcoin because of the bull run and the hype around it. There are no successful investors that invested blindly, Everyone of us trusted bitcoin because of its potential and that potential can't happen in just days, weeks, or months. I'm sad because you invested your daughter's savings without thinking about the risk and complaining about your loss.
3011  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Crypto users use VPN's ? You decide..... on: December 04, 2020, 04:06:49 PM
I personally don't use a VPN because I don't really need it because my country is not restricting the websites I'm mostly using, I also believe that VPN does create a fake idea of security over the actual risk of using VPN. As a crypto user we know that some exchanges and casinos are now including that they prohibit the use of VPN in their TOS, So using VPN would actually make you and your funds in potential danger.

If you only need some privacy, It's better to just use TOR than some random VPN that shouts that they are FREE. It's a bad move if you are using a VPN when dealing with your assets.
3012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blocked funds in a poker room on: December 04, 2020, 03:18:29 PM
Well, I saw an inconsistency in both of you, the site itself never tell about the cause of the block account, and that you also have to forget that using VPN is not permitted. Maybe that was an issue and even using different IPs, gadgets to use in accessing your account might sometimes get in trouble and asking your confirmation.

I'm afraid it was totally locked, $32k is really big, I certainly can't take that loss into my hands just because of that mistake.
One way that could help you is to contact them.
I think most of the sites now prohibited the use of VPN, maybe that is the reason why they can't give back OP's account, finding that he is using fake IP maybe he uses another country IP is very reasonable for them to have a doubt on it, so I think he should not stop contacting the website support maybe if they are having social media account like telegram/ discord or Twitter you should chat them as well, and provide the IP address that you used.
This might be the case, VPN is the common reason casino why they block or disable an account. VPN is the bypass tool that users use if they came from a banned country, so inconsistency on IP on the IP's country range might be the reason. It's just the fault of the poker room that it didn't reveal the exact reason why the OP account is closed.

I think it's fair that the poker room reimbursed the deposit amount,  If ever OP is violating the TOS.

3018  Economy / Exchanges / Re: HitBTC.com - Withdraw Disabled, is it scam ? on: November 20, 2020, 11:22:00 PM
The last time I used hitbtc it was on peace, It was in 2017 when I quit using that exchange because I found out that there is a better exchange than them but I didn't expect them to fall too much. I've been seeing different complaints about them after implementing their KYC procedures.

i'm old user of HitBTC too, but today i used to exchange 0.2 btc into 3600 USDT.
when i try to withdraw i got that error. i used HitBTC before with up to 7 btc total. but don't know what happen after a long time. so be careful.

if account verification is required, why they don't ask for it before i invest.
however, for small trader i don't think documents should be required.
I think you didn't read their TOS after depositing that amount. I am an old user too, using it after a long time of inactivity it would be our responsibility to read their TOS again before using it, their KYC procedure is strict and pain in the a**.
3019  Economy / Gambling / Re: WOLF.BET - $1,000 Daily Race! 30% Rakeback! Advanced Dice Game 2.000 Bets/s⚡ on: November 20, 2020, 11:00:53 PM
Although I didn't use a dice bot and profits weren't that bad either, I should admit it was very psychologically exhausting and stressful. Deep down inside you understand that even if on average the chances of busting are low, it doesn't in the least mean that you won't bust. With that said, it was still a good experience anyway since it offered a lot of insights into what random truly is and how you can leverage it in real life (more specifically, variance and statistical outliers)

Well with that you can handle a very big red streak. What was the worst streak you had?

Let me see

I started at 37% win chance, and once I was a couple rolls short from busting, so it was like 32 reds in a row. Ultimately, I raised the win chance to 42%, and the worst I saw was like a few streaks of 27-28 losing bets. I don't know why, but it felt like variance was getting out of hand with chances below 37%
OMG, 32 reds in row. You could've made changes once it reached ten rolls. Anyhow you've made your bets with small amounts. Myself has experienced losing streak of 8 consecutive losses with 50% winning chance. At times the under and over makes a big row of reds. Random pick of under and over could've stopped you from reds.
The 32 reds would be pretty exhausting and will be mentally draining for sure. I think he is using some kind of strategy that's why he stuck on a 37% win chance rather than raising it up. Well If I personally experienced it I would do the same and will increase my win chance. We should settle on the win chance we can handle, I personally don't go under 40% win chance even if the reward is high, I  can't take too much red streak in myself and seeing my bankroll slowly drain.
3020  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bring back the Bitcoin FUN during this ATH period :-> on: November 20, 2020, 10:18:55 PM
I remembered that time where bitcoin in 2017 is near hitting its ATH, There were some mini-games everywhere about price predictions and the hype is all over the world. Even the media in our country is reporting about bitcoin's sudden growth and my friends who don't know about bitcoin suddenly have an interest in it. It was so much fun before, Everyone is having very high hopes about bitcoin while we hodlers are having fun seeing the community getting crazy about bitcoin.

The good thing about these mini-games is we are seeing other speculation and the price they want bitcoin to reach. I miss it a lot.
