Den Server hat aber nicht er geschrieben (höchstwahrscheinlich) und der dient auch nur dazu, einen "Freund" im Netzwerk zu haben (auch wenn's nur der Serverbot ist) um dann via Chat mit anderen in Kontakt treten zu können. Wenn aber der Server alle paar Tage die Freundschaft aufkündigt, müsste quasi mind. einer aus diesem Netzwerk alle 2-3 Tage sich auch wieder per Upload des Zertifikats neu mit dem Server befreunden und vor dem nächsten Reset potenziell unbekannte Interessenten in sein eigenes Netzwerk aufnehmen.

Nur eben ignoriere ich die ganzen Kifferforen dort meist eher (bzw. schlagen die nur dann auf, wenn ein "Freund" die abonniert hat - solche Leute fliegen dann bei mir meist auch schnell wieder von der Liste). Wenn man übrigens dem Link in seiner Sig folgt hat man wenig Chancen irgendwen zu kontaktieren, da sich diese Server alle paar Tage resettet und daher Seeder (oder sonst wer von seiner "Posse") da ständig neu sein Zertifikat hochladen müsste. Außerdem ist Retroshare nicht gerade dafür gedacht sich mit wildfremden Leuten zu vernetzen, das Bootstrappingproblem ist dort recht ausgeprägt. Entweder man vertraut wildfremden Leuten und nutzt es nur als Chatprogramm oder man nutzt es als Friend2Friend Netzwerk, hat dann aber meist eher Probleme damit "Anschluss" zu finden, da die Nutzerzahl dann doch eher gering ist.

Zum Thema zurück:
Ich finde die Idee klasse, allerdings sehe ich persönlich da nicht genau den Vorteil von Bitcoin vs. z.B. einer normalen Überweisung oder (wenn man sich schon Lebensmittel liefern lassen muss zahlt man wohl eh schon drauf) Nachnahme. Klar gibt's vielleicht kleine Vorteile, generell fürchte ich aber, dass das nicht so attraktiv wirken dürfte weil der Aufwand an Bitcoins zu kommen doch eine ziemliche Hemmschwelle ist.

Wie schon vorgeschlagen wäre es vielleicht praktischer "Gebrauchsartikel" um Bitcoin zu verkaufen, bzw. haltbare Lebensmittel aus Großpackungen, Restbeständen o.Ä. wo beide Seiten ein bisschen sparen können (Ich bekomme z.B. meine Sixpack RedBull dann um 1€ billiger als im Supermarkt, du hast aber vielleicht von einem Veranstalter 7 angebrauchte Paletten die er nicht zurückgeben kann um den halben Preis bekommen - win-win). Resale von Artikeln von Seiten wie aliexpress wäre auch möglich (davon leben hierzulande glaube ich so einige).

Ich warte immer noch auf Bestätigungen von irgendwem(!) der auch nur in irgendeiner Form durch diese Retroshareforen (übrigens auch von "Vordenkern" designt + entworfen, nicht von Seeder selbst) etwas von bleibendem oder vergänglichem physischem Wert erhalten hat. Yes, it's nice he repaid even though it's easy in this community to not to and just declare bankruptcy out of nowhere. Still it took way too long to repay and he could have communicated more openly about this, even if it causes a bit of a stirup in some nerd forum like this.

Contract wise (even though I don't really agree with the operator(s), but that also didn't keep me from mining at Eligius...) and transparency wise MPEX is unfortunately the only place that can shine. They release statements regularly, have contracts that consist of more than "Check out the forum thread at X" and even though the UX is horrible, they manage to keep their site alive and their users trading.

All in all (as much hate Nefario has gotte over time) I miss GLBSE not because of it's interface (I used it already when it was a command line application... *shudder*) but because at least before the GLBSE 2.0 times it was easy and possible to have features implemented that you might want to have, they have never been hacked and even after they suddenly went big Nefario tried his best (up to the stage of burn out) to make sure it was constantly improved.

People don't start to buy BTC because they are suddenly a few % more secure or some chinese company sold some chips to a handful of miners. Miners fire up their rigs once it's profitable again to do so and keep on doing that until it's no longer profitable.

Supply could come from miners, but even if all BTC sold came only from them (which is by far not the case, as you can see if looking at volume numbers) with the next difficulty adjustment the proper rate would be reestablished. 1 GH/s in ASICs won't give you 1 BTC in your life time.
