for me this clearly says 61 days of late shipment.

This is NOT +10 Days scam days of the damn customer protection plan.

It's even worse than that because in the "Terms of Sale" they clearly state:

http://bitmine.ch/?page_id=1001

5.4 Once you have notified Bitmine that you are cancelling the contract, Bitmine will verify that it complies with our refunds policy and, if confirmed, will refund you within 30 days of receiving notice of such cancellation for any sum that has been paid by you on that specific order. Refund will be made either by bank wire transfer or by Bitcoin payment depending on the original payment method.

So, 10+ 61 + 30... that's more than 100 days.

Bitmine doesn't give a fuck.... as Mt. Gox does the past few months.
Stop spaming this threat with useless things guys.

I would place Bitmine with Mt.Gox on one step at the moment.
The situation is just horrible by the reaction of both companies.

Why compare bitmine to an exchange??

I don't think that bitmine doesn't give a fuck about us, I rather think they are hopelessly overwhelmed with the situation, and they sadly handle it like freshmen.
So the result is just as bad as if they REALLY wouldn't give a fuck about us... no difference whatsoever.

Next week will be very interesting.

I believe in Bitcoin!

But all these scam preorders manufacturers undermine all Bitcoin community.

And do not give to become a mass that states would never have been able to influence the community!

P.S. Read my signature! Wink

I am waiting for a time when actual electronic manufacturers like sony, panasonic, etc start to build bitcoinminers.

Until then it feels the same like when you are forced to buy your drugs from some shaddy dealer on the black market...

How come the situation is like that?

Zefir did various groupbuys and mining projects in the past.

He did a great job solving the Avalon gen 1 chip disaster.

His post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=177827.msg3029465#msg3029465
convinced yifu to refund the orders.

Nobody in his groupbuy lost a single sathosi because of his efforts.

I believe he is doing the same thing here.

I don't doubt zefirs workethics and what he has done for the community.

But he is totally holding the line for bitmine now. Don't expect any criticism coming from him from now on.

He is already starting to downplay legitimate concerns....
3026  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official BITMINE CoinCraft series 28nm ASIC miners thread on: February 15, 2014, 05:39:38 PM

Shall i start calling them ?

don't expect any wonders from it. They will simply string you along.

GeorgeM is absolutely right.
Might be, but after I replied in a polite and civilized manner he put all his anger at me for no reason. That is not the way I discuss.

Please point out to me when exactly I got angry for no reason?

It infuriated me that you depicted legitimate customer questions as "disturbance" that keeps those hardworking engineers from working, because "their mobiles ring every 20 mins".

Come again?? That's really a harsh thing to say, especially in a pre-order money-upfront business this is an absolute no-go.

First this is a bulls**t obviously, because we don't have their mobilenumbers, and if they really keep their mobiles on while they work, they are asking for it. No one with good work ethic keeps his mobiles running while working. Especially electro engineers. So you want to tell me their mobile phone rings in their pocket, while they are working the soldering iron with a millimeter error margin?

Also: I think the only one who gets all the flac at bitmine is poor antonio who has to answer all the questions allthough obviously he has no "authority"/ "complete knowledge" to do so.
So he often had to guess... that's why many misconceptions and misrepresentations surfaced in the last few months.

Will this mess ever stop?

How long does bitmine plan to play this game like that?
3028  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official BITMINE CoinCraft series 28nm ASIC miners thread on: February 15, 2014, 04:53:24 PM
You can't really ramp up production when your prototype doesn't meet requirements.

Concerning the bad PR part, i'd rather have no update than something made up every Two Weeks™. Silence means you need to wait a little more, except you are not being manipulated.

Also, i just found out about the "ignore" function. Not that there is something to miss anyway.

is that you giorgio? You'd rather "have no update", and "silence means you need to wait" Huh

Your account vic0 seems to have been only created to justify misbehaviour of bitmine. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=195635;sa=showPosts

Building a hardware company is a shitload of work; I think everyone is aware of that.

But to step on the plate and offer these products and emphasize as well as promise the special reliability of Swiss work ethics and blah blah is one thing - but then not even be able to communicate to their customers is as bad or worse than BFL, Avalon and the likes.

Communications is a hugely important part of every successful company and transparency is a huge part of that.
We had exactly ZERO transparency as to what was happening!
Giorgio this lying pos doesn´t even have the balls to tell the community what the hell is happening with the CoinCraft Rigs for example. Like a small child he is just ignoring the fact that customers (who paid for the most expensive products!) have a right to get informed because it influences their further investment decisions.

Until now an official 3 week delay by the chip manufacturer was given as an excuse but we have an actual 2,5 months delay - in a time when everyone would have made back his investment due to a favorable btc/fiat exchange rate plus btc difficulty.

And now it seems that not even the promised performance will be reached.

I for sure will look into every possible way to sue their respectively your 4sses.

...If you are from Switzerland, you maybe should go and visit their offices in Ticino. You'll find hard working engineers who can't do their real job because their mobile is ringing every 20 seconds.

I won't comment on everything else you say, because honestly it doesn't concern me.

But this one sentence you posted infuriates me.

So now it's us customers who are keeping the engineers from working? Don't we have a right to ask what the hell is going on?
With all the delays, extremely low news frequency and this reluctance to clarify open questions?

This tells me that not only does bitmine have a bad customerservice, no, some of them downright despise the customers, because WHO DO THOSE CUSTOMERS THINK THEY ARE???

What, only because they payed upfront, they have the right to constantly ask for an update? No, they should suck it up, and just wait. WE DECIDE NOW!

...

Listen, all those customers made an investment, and they want to be constantly updated. NOT LIED TO.

Imagine how you would feel, if as a shareholder of bitmine, you were not allowed to be informed about the condition of the firm, and weren't allowed to take a look at the balance sheets?
In this case, you would have the right to sue them if I am not mistaken.

We customers just want to be informed, not lied to. Much like investors we need to know how good or bad our position develops over time.
We don't really care if the news are bad, we just want clarity so we can assess the situation and adjust our plans.

We don't want any more red herrings.

Yes, it's definitively the Zefir guy who posts in this forum. Look at the e-mail in his profile.
...

....
I already posted in this thread to work as a consultant for the SW side and am Bitmine's largest customer. And after the fact that I ripped off my butt working on the chips bring-up, Bitmine decided that I am valuable enough for the company to offer me company shares. That's where we are now and that is nothing worth speculating.
...
Feel free to ask if you need to know more, there is really nothing secret in here.

zefir

I think swissmining questions your independence and bias towards bitmine. I don't think he doubts your workethic and efforts.

Until now I too had the impression you were some kind of independent consultant, but now it starts to look completely different.
Since you are on their payroll now, we can't expect you to say ANYTHING critical about them. That's a problem.
3032  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official BITMINE CoinCraft series 28nm ASIC miners thread on: February 15, 2014, 02:03:46 PM

Scary. I'm going to order an extract from the debt enforcement office to figure out if they even pay their bills. Costs about CHF 20 (USD 18).

You mean a "Betreibungsauszug" don't you?

If you are going to do that, I am willing to chip in some mBTC for your efforts after you post a screenshot here. It's a brilliant idea.
3033  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official BITMINE CoinCraft series 28nm ASIC miners thread on: February 15, 2014, 01:59:22 PM
Anybody got the order status "production"?

My February Week 1 order still says "processing".
3034  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official BITMINE CoinCraft series 28nm ASIC miners thread on: February 14, 2014, 02:35:31 PM

...Yes, historically and probably in the future, buying and holding will make MORE profit. But it's just not the same. Cheap beer will get you drunk, but it's not Fat Tire. Ya know?

Well that's the thing, if everyone ONLY bought and held, and no one were mining, the whole system would collapse.

All those BTC hoarders indirectly NEED more and more people to start mining, because that's what's needed to grow and strengthen the Bitcoin Network, and to raise the value.

BTC miners are like the "canary in the coalmine" , demonstrating for the whole world how hard (and therefor valuable) it is to get to those bitcoins.

So EVERYTHING rises or falls depending on those miners.
So I respect them, they are the ones who do all the work.

Often you hear people say that it is STUPID to buy a miner, but I wholeheartedly disagree.

I look at the miners as some form of voluntary hardware contribution to this large "mesh network" with the goal to make the central banking system we have obsolete.
Everyone who buys and runs a miner helps to facilitate and strengthen the system. SOMEONE HAS TO DO THIS. Should only big banks do this? Is this what this all will lead to?
3035  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official BITMINE CoinCraft series 28nm ASIC miners thread on: February 13, 2014, 06:37:24 PM
If you believe in BTC, grab a miner, or buy BTC.

I think 28's may have a longer life than many think - and may, in fact be more valuable.
20's even longer, and more valuable... if you can get your hands on one.

This. I want a miner because I want BTC to succeed.

Aslong as they generate more money than they consume energy,  I will let the machine run.

What do you say? How will I get back my ROI?

Depends how much I payed for the bitcoins, and when exactly I sold them to bitmine.

Some guys were lucky. :-)
Some guys should have better kept their BTC. I am sorry for them. :-(

Finally some news that help me relax. Keep it coming. Also: good move with the github thing.

I would like to see some news about the webinterface, is this possible?

3037  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official BITMINE CoinCraft series 28nm ASIC miners thread on: February 11, 2014, 11:16:27 PM
I heard from the support / Bitmine that my orders will be ready to ship by the end of next week. So finally it seems that they are getting things moving! If that's the situation, I'm fine. I don't care so much about CPP. Just wish to get miners asap as we all maybe.

When you recieve your device... please don't forget to send us a picture or two, or even better make a video and put in on youtube.

...   BUT I CAN'T
3038  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official BITMINE CoinCraft series 28nm ASIC miners thread on: February 11, 2014, 02:24:40 PM
I am waiting like an idiot for anyone to confirm receiving a tracking number or a unit, and I am losing my patience a day after day...

Production has started and they will ship this week.

Support and giorgiomassa have confirmed this.

So wait until next week without anyone recieving a tracking number ("device is on the way"), and then we really must assume the worst.

3039  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official BITMINE CoinCraft series 28nm ASIC miners thread on: February 10, 2014, 10:40:14 PM
@ georgem: he said very clear that extra hashing power/units will be counted per order and not total. so per every order you will get extra unit with extra hashing power.

Many people misunderstood this the wrong way for a few weeks.

But ofcourse the CPP is crystalclear, and now we know how to apply it down to the exact day.

It was a misunderstanding on our part, because we listened to much to support's sweet-talk instead of just reading the contract.
3040  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official BITMINE CoinCraft series 28nm ASIC miners thread on: February 09, 2014, 04:18:15 PM

You say you can see your self ship next week, but still don't have a working miner to film?? (a movie clip takes 5 min on a smart phone... not that hard)

They still a sleep, and are still dreaming... you'r all shut go do the same;) the dream is better then reality ;P

So we are going to get devices that have not been tested at all.

From prototype to mass production without testing series.

So we will be the testers. Great!

How does this play within the advertisement of

Quote
"Custom Linux operating system with Web based interface for easy configuration without any command line skills needed."

Not even software screenshots. I asked for them in November, still nothing.

If we get unstable devices, I think I am afraid we are going to need those "command line skills"...

but then again, those devices are not directly accessible thru USB are they?

I would have to program my own USB driver for the device (I was told by support), if I want to do that... so my hands will be tied together...
