Stay focused on bringing light to the world and you won't have to worry about it in your lifetime (or the next few generations).

Are there any working pools for this?

Down to about 90 Sat now on Cryptopia, but CMC says 0.00001376.

Pretty interesting coin.

3125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: RDD Reddcoin on: May 18, 2017, 01:04:53 AM
Seem like Bytecoin and Digibtyte, an old coin that has had a loyal development team.   Not posting in BTCtalk doesn't mean a coin is dead.   Reddcoin has its own forum.
3126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats the lowest cost masternode you can set up? on: May 16, 2017, 06:01:17 AM
Probably chaincoin, $80-100 for the 1000 for an MN.

Thanks.  Found this, I guess they all set up about the same.

The OP in the announcement thread needs to be updated, like take that old stuff off, and put up an active pool.

I'm not fudding it, I bought a little.

3129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Digibytes on: May 16, 2017, 02:26:19 AM
Here is what I'm getting when I run the miners http://imgur.com/a/J7cZ4

The ccminer seems like it's working fine but the cgminer doesn't look like it's finding anything.

Here is what I have in both the batch files for the ccminer and cgminer http://imgur.com/a/OYIKj

The site says that you get a deposit after each 40 acceptances but I had around 150 and didn't see anything.

You might have the syntax for the URL wrong.  I have used http:// starting a pool URL but haven't seen s1.
like you have.   Try http:// and see if it works.

3130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Digibytes on: May 16, 2017, 01:53:05 AM
As long as you're getting Accepteds your hashing correctly and should get credited for your work.  If you were at a pool trying to mine for Bitcoin, that might not be the case as BTC is hard to find a block for and a pool could have you working there for years without getting any reward if they don't find a block.
3131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Whats the lowest cost masternode you can set up? on: May 16, 2017, 01:50:44 AM
I don't know that much about setting up masternodes or nodes.  From what I understand, you have to buy a lot of the coin to do one.  Whats the lowest cost node you can set up that has a good development team?  Are there new ones being developed today that work in this structure that one can buy today at really low prices?

This is a good article and lists a bunch of coins.

3132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How many cryptocurrencies do you invest in? on: May 15, 2017, 06:07:44 AM
You can't go wrong mirroring what's happening on Poloniex.  That's a good suite of coins.  It's too hard to just look at CMC and see the obscure ones that go up 300% and think you can find them ahead of time.  Reading the annoucement thread is good but it takes a lot of time to know what's really going on.  If you just want to make money, stick to Poloniex coins, but if you want to use your heart, have fun and read up on what people are developing.  I'm trying to do both.
3133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: PoSW may be the rare opportunity to get rich by entering early on a coin on: May 15, 2017, 12:36:19 AM
I got in the ICO and I think it was less than 30 sats a coin.  Anyone remember?   I don't do many ICOs but isn't it often that the price per coin gets rather expensive in some ICOs?
3134  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Impact of drinking alcohol. on: May 14, 2017, 11:41:41 PM
I find my relationship with alcohol somewhat strange. Yes I have drank alcohol on several occasion, but on each occasion I was unable to understand the fun of drinking that stuff. I mean, it tasted rather disgusting and while I could feel very tipsy, I still felt as though I could do my math homework. Can anyone describe or explain to me the addictiveness of alcohol since I can't really understand why it has such a profound impact on so many people.

Alcoholics and other addicts often have some unfortunate parenting experiences that led them unable to feel good self-esteem or pleasure naturally.  They are seeking for outside substances to change their brain chemistry.  Psychoanalysis would lend credence to this. Children are never to blame but instead be educated, but often the child isn't granted innocence by the parent, but is made somehow to contain shame in some permanent level for just for being human.  The lack of the ability to feel a sense of reward from things is changed by an artificial stimulation in the brain areas for reward.  These kinds of drugs make the addict feel like they are on a throne, a temporary king, and so that becomes addictive.  That's why only people who can accept some humility can recover, and then they work with others who have the same unfortunate disease.   This is how a group like AA or Celebrate Recovery works.

Mercury really hasn't moved up for at least three weeks.

3136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: x20 Investment Opportunity on: May 14, 2017, 02:50:55 PM
This coin is already 0.00001798 on Cryptopia, that's pretty high already.  The other coins I mentioned were under 40 sat or so.  I don't feel safe any more in many coins not in the top 100 unless there is something very good about them, like the speed you mentioned, perhaps.
3137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: x20 Investment Opportunity on: May 14, 2017, 02:06:50 PM
Zero development since 3 years?
Looks pretty dead to me.

This often doesn't matter.  I've gotten behind about five dead coins just in contributing to their threads.  Earthcoin was one of them and it revitalized.  There are over five similar coins today, including XBY and Chesscoin.   Cryptocurrency is about the big coins, sure, but it's
also about how getting behind small coins can create wealth for smart people with good work ethics.
3138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Merged Mining on: May 14, 2017, 03:04:51 AM
Anyone know the status of https://mergemining.com?  I know it's harder for smaller pools to find blocks these days, and would that mean even on a mergedmining pool that no one would be getting paid any coin if no BTC block was found?  Or, do they find the smaller coins and pay out for them?
3139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Reasons Coins Are Pumped Now Vs Reasons They Are Not on: May 13, 2017, 08:53:44 PM
Some people project the total marketcap to be 150 billion before a huge sell-off.  If people knew they could create wealth by buying an inexpensive used miner and start mining the more profitable coins, and then trade them without $8 fees, I think that is foreseeable.
3140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Reasons Coins Are Pumped Now Vs Reasons They Are Not on: May 13, 2017, 06:29:36 PM
It's still hard to tell if coins are pumped right now or if this is just a natural growth of people wanting a better way to do things.
What are your ideas?
